EOS DTLA
I have been visiting EOS Fitness DTLA only as a guest under my friend’s membership. During one of our visits, an associate at the gym strongly persuaded both of us to sign up for a “joint membership” because it would save money. I explained that I did not want to sign up because I only attend the gym with my friend and did not need my own membership. Despite this, the associate kept insisting, and I eventually signed up.

Shortly after, my friend decided he did not want to do the joint membership and chose to keep his original personal membership instead. This left me with a membership I never wanted and only signed because of the pressure.

Today, when I arrived at the gym with my friend, the manager Kacey told me I could not enter the gym because I “owed $200.” I explained the entire situation, including the fact that my friend had backed out of the joint membership. Kacey showed no interest in hearing my explanation and refused to let me enter, even as a guest, despite my friend having an active guest pass on his membership. The associate that help me sign up walked towards the counter, unaware of what was happening. Instead of helping, she abruptly yelled, “I’m his boss!”, as if to assert authority. This came across as unnecessary, aggressive, and a clear attempt to power-trip rather than resolve the problem. It was noticeable that some of the workers looked intimidated and hesitant to speak, which suggests a hostile or pressured environment

When I asked simply to use the restroom after a long workday, she also refused, which I found extremely disrespectful, unprofessional, and unreasonable for a business where I have been a guest multiple times.

I had a very disappointing experience at EOS Fitness. Trevor and Vanessa were completely dishonest about the membership discount. They told us the person who handles discounts wasn’t there that day — but we literally saw that person in front of us! They looked us straight in the eyes and lied without any shame. Later, they even tried to raise the price and act as if we misunderstood. Their behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. EOS Fitness should really pay attention to how some of their staff treat potential members.

Pros: Convenient location. Good selection of equipment. Although because of the shear volume of people, cables and hooks etc are starting to need maintenance. Record broken: 3 weeks. Cons: very crowded and very limited parking.

This location as of February 1, 2024, open 24 hours is no longer a selling point. M-Th 5AM - 11PM. Fri until 10 pm. on the #LA H*ll scale, 8.5

I decided to take the time to write a review on EOS LA. I consider myself a beginner and have always been timid into walking into a gym. So I came with a buddy of mine after work one day and instantly when I walk through the doors I see the manager Trevor greeting me with a huge smile . I feel like he knew I was a little anxious. I signed up as a guest so I could grasp a feel on the place . Fast forward 2 months later I love this gym so much . There isn’t a day where Trevor is not smiling and offers any and all help. I also was able to meet the trainer Oz which is a really cool guy. The staff feels like there are your friends makes it feel like a safe comfortable environment and professional at the same time. So I recommend this gym to anyone that wants to get out of their comfort zone . You will not be dissatisfied.

I drove 30 minutes to get in the pool. Only to see that the pool was very neglected. It seemed as if the lane line had mold all over it. Smh.
I tried to dry my wet clothes but the machine wasn't working.
On top of all of that the smell of the place was very disgusting!
I saw that the roof was leaking all over the facility and into the pool as well.
Would definitely never come to this location again.

I’ve been coming to this gym for a while now, and honestly, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. The environment is great and always welcoming. The staff here really make the difference; they’re dependable, friendly, and always willing to help with whatever you need.

I especially want to mention Trevor, the Operations Manager. He’s genuinely one of the most helpful people I’ve met. He is always checking in, making sure everything’s running smoothly, and making everyone feel like part of the group. You can tell he really cares about the members and the gym as a whole.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for a gym where people actually care and where you’ll feel supported every time you walk in, this is the one.

Tried returning to my old gym to re activate my membership, only to find they are closed.
They are no longer a 24 hour establishment.
Unfortunately, due this I will need to find a new fitness center for the new year.
Besides that, I had great success at this gym,
Motivated personal trainers, lowest membership, sauna, & training classes.
For everyone who can access this gym during day hours, I recommend. For early mornings & overnight, I will update reviews on the next one I find.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK INFORMATION. They have continued to charge me monthly for almost a year after leaving the gym. I have called countless times to cancel and try to be refunded for the many months of inappropriate charges to my account and have gotten nowhere. I am told every time that it is now cancelled and that they will speak with management regarding reimbursement and then I am charged for the membership again the next month. After several months of this I asked to speak with management directly to resolve the problem and they are always "on their lunch break" I'm told they will call me back later in the day and never do. I would strongly recommend that you choose an alternative gym option.

I joined EOS Fitness (Los Angeles – Cesar Chavez location) on September 17, 2025, and immediately ran into a very disappointing experience. On my first day, I was offered what I was told was a simple $19 “trial” for two personal training sessions, with one week to decide if I wanted to continue and the option for a full refund if I canceled.

What actually happened was very different. After signing quickly on a computer without being given the chance to review the paperwork, I later discovered I had been placed into a four-month contract at $360/month with only a five-day cancellation period. This was never explained to me, and it directly contradicted what their employee had promised.

I never even received my first training session, yet I was told I was locked into this expensive contract. The misrepresentation was extremely frustrating and ruined what should have been a positive start at a new gym.

⚠️ Be careful and do not fall into the personal training trap here. Make sure you read everything carefully before signing, because the sales tactics are misleading.

My partner and I are not local to the area, so we we were not aware of this gym being considered a lux location despite having the will power. However, thanks to Trevor and Kasee (especially Kasee), they were very understanding and open to accommodating something for my partner and I. When we came a second time Kasee greeted us with a warm welcome and was also very informative about our options for upgrading our membership. If it wasn’t for her great hospitality and attitude, I’m not sure if we would have even bothered coming back. Overall, the gym itself isn’t too bad, it just takes some getting used to the overall set up, but it has all the necessities one needs to get a good work out in.

Came for first time using 7 day pass. Upon getting here CSR rep seemed like she didnt want to be there as soon I told her I needed to register. Turns out I couldnt fully register since the person who normally does it shows up at 8. Made me leave my ID because apparently we are not trust worthy if we dont. This location is called Luxury location EoS so you normal cross state membership won't work. Luxury? Have you seen normal locations like in Miami or Saraota in Florida? They are twice as big and more luxurious. Sauna here in Los Angeles is half a size to Florida, gym size too, movie size too. Lockers seem old. Please remove LA from "so called luxury locations"

I just became a member. And already regreting it. The floor is full of Gym bags and backpacks . They are all over the floor. Shirtless dudes all over the gym with their shorts half way down showing their pubes and dont even care about the women in there. I went to the restroom and jesus christ!!!! The worst smell ever! I’ve been an EōS member for a long time, holding the highest-tier membership that’s supposed to grant access to all EōS locations. While traveling to LA, I was shocked when the manager proudly told me this was a “Lux” location—and I couldn’t get in.

When I asked what “Lux” means, the manager said it’s because they have a pool and massage room. But my home EōS has those exact features, and they’re included in my current membership. It feels like “Lux” is just an excuse to charge members more.

I drove 30 minutes to get here, only to find it fully packed and smelling bad. Never again.

EōS—please rethink this policy. It damages trust and loyalty. Don’t go down the same path as LA Fitness.

Hard to get assistance or gym information. I called to ask about whether they had a certain type of equipment. The first person said they can't give that information to nonmembers and transferred me to a call center. The call center said they didn't have the information and that the only way to be told whether they had the equipment I needed is to book a tour and go see for myself. If they can't disclose what equipment they even have I don't want to join and rely on getting someone's help or knowledge 🤷‍♀️

I wanted a simple gym membership for $40 per month that was enough for me. But the staff convinced me to sign up for personal training. I agreed only to try two sessions. Later, I found out they had locked me into a long-term personal training contract without clearly explaining it.

Even though I don’t want to attend personal training anymore, they keep charging me $160 each time. Because of this, I keep going, as I have no way to stop the charges. I have already requested to cancel multiple times and am still waiting for a response. My friend, who is in the same situation, has already received a refusal to cancel.

This feels like a scam and unethical business practice. They take advantage of customers who come in with good faith. I am extremely disappointed and warn others to read every single line before signing anything.

If this situation is not resolved, I will be filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau ,the Federal Trade Commission , and the California Attorney General’s Office.

Great community gym! The staff are super nice and always willing to help — especially Aaron, he’s awesome! I’ve never had any issues borrowing equipment, and everything is always available when I need it. The bathroom is also really clean, which is a big plus. I was surprised to hear that my premium EoS membership excludes this location. The parking is a bit tough but do-able. The equipment and cardio machines are adequate. The lockers are great, staff is amazing and the location is clean. Only annoying issue with this location is the "exclusivity".

Here are some gyms I'd work out at before I'd consider going back to EOS Fitness: a gym on the top floor of the World Trade Center on 9/11, a gym on the Titanic, and a gym in the middle of no man's land during World War 2. Absolutely terrible in every way. You go in to see what the facility is like and they pressure you into signing up for higher tier memberships without explaining the costs, using the fact that you can't upgrade later as leverage. I canceled within days of signing up only to find out months later that they'd been billing me the entire time, despite the fitness manager assuring me that my membership had been cancelled and I wouldn't be billed further. When I called to get a refund, the worker who answered put me on hold three times without explanation. You'd think if they put you on hold they'd actually come back with useful information, but she was somehow less helpful each time. I would rather cut off all my limbs so I can't exercise than go back to EOS Fitness. If I ever win the lottery the first thing I'm doing is buying this location so I can fire everyone who works at it.

I have the highest plan that’s offered so I could go to any gym. Well this place is considered a “LUX” EOS gym. Meaning you have to have an even higher membership for this specific location. For that price I can get a 24hour or LA fitness membership with more gyms in the area than EOS. Plus this gym is dirty and has old equipment anyhow. DONT GO HERE for 49.99 a month! That’s nuts for this place.

I decided to come back after their price increase from $16 to $40 to see what luxurious changes they made to the gym. There were none. Absolutely no changes. It was bad that they switched from 24 hours to limited hours before I canceled. Once I got an email saying they would increase the monthly price. I was out. Im glad that I canceled and glad I only tried for a few days because the gym is not worth the price tag. Machines are definitely Italy not being fixed and the restrooms are atrocious. Theres bugs and mold. Im never coming back even if they lowered the price and switched back to 24 hours

I came to this EOS since it is the closest to me, only to be told that I have to have a specific membership, which I told them I do. I have the membership where I can go to any gym and I have a guest pass. They said that wasn’t enough that I had to Upgrade to the “lux” I specifically told Diego or Dylan I forgot the name of the guy but it starts with D. Anyways, I asked him what about my az membership and he said it would replace it and I can cancel anytime. Didn’t even sit with me to go over the $112 FEE that comes with canceling! Just told me to sign up and then left. Also come to find out I was paying for 2 memberships!! Thanks buddy ! You sure are great at your job! Bullshit gym for changing their prices/memberships especially for a place that looks like a tornado hit it, and can’t find parking 👍

The gym facilities are fine. Beware - on sign up you will be pressured to try personal training services. The price isn’t bad and I signed up but doing so makes it impossible for you to cancel your membership online. If you call, no one is available. I have been attempting to cancel since April and called 6 times over 3 weeks. I was told I needed to cancel my personal membership at the location specifically before EoS could help me. When calling the location I was not helped by anyone - I was told managers were in meetings and I’d be called back - I was not. Eventually I got the email of someone who was able to try helping me - I was told I’d receive a refund and cancellation by June 16th and as of this point I have not received any and continue to be charged every two weeks. I reached out and have received no response.

The gym is fine but beware - cancelation is made extremely difficult and slow in an attempt to continue wringing money out of you.

I gave 1 star because most of the staff is nice.
I’ve been a loyal Will Power member since 2015 and have used my membership in multiple states without issue. When I tried to work out at the Los Angeles location (the app even showed it as covered), the manager Isaiah refused to let me finish my routine. Instead of explaining any fees or offering a one-day pass to cover the difference, he simply kicked me out. It was rude and unhelpful—completely unnecessary treatment for a paying member. The rest of the staff is nice,
but Isaiah’s attitude makes it hard to recommend this gym. Still I am enjoying my vacation in Los Angeles..

My favorite gym to go to after being gymless for a few months. I've tried other gyms but this one has the best amenities for the price. I've been coming here for a few years before they turned this location to a LUXE location, so I wasn't too excited about the location upgrade. However since the other gyms are too crowded for my liking, I'm back at EOS 💙

For being a "Lux" gym i expected a bit more out of the equipment availability but for the life of me I could not find any D-Handles. The dumbells are all over the place, unorganized; you can expect the same about the handles for the lat pull down machines they are just in 2 piles. I dont think I'd pay the extra money to go "lux" at this gym

I am visiting for the weekend and this is the closet EOS to me. I have the highest plan which is the Will Power, however after getting to this location. The front desk informed me since it was my first time to this location they would have to go over their new rules and policies. The front desk grabbed a sales person, and the sales person asked me where did I originally sign up. I informed him in Arizona. He than proceeded to tell me that they have a new policy at this location where you have to have the Will Power Deluxe to work out at this gym. I informed him I have the will power membership and he stated that the Will Power is different from the Will Power Deluxe. The Will Power Deluxe is $49.99 a month. Stated to the sales rep I was okay. I am not going to pay more just for me to only work out at THIS specific gym when I’m only in town for the weekend. I think it’s just ridiculous. What is the point of getting the Will power membership to have access to all gyms if there are certain gyms that will require you to pay more to enter. That loses all purpose of the membership I currently have. I feel like this should also be expressed when signing up for memberships, that some gyms require a higher membership that is NOT offered on the website or in person. Only at the gym that requires it. Given that I left and did not sign up

I really enjoy working out here, especially the classes—they’re great and well organized. But there are a few areas that need serious improvement considering the price we’re paying.

Parking: The lot is too small and always full. It makes it hard to even get inside.
Hours: Closing early on Fridays is frustrating. Extending hours, especially on weekends, would make a big difference.
Sauna: It’s constantly out of order. For the cost of the membership, it should be maintained better.
Equipment: Some machines don’t work and take too long to be fixed.
Sales Pressure: Trainers often try to pressure guests into signing up when we just want to show them around. Not everyone is ready to commit on their first visit.
Closing Announcements: I understand staff wants to leave on time, but announcing the closing time every 15 minutes on Friday nights gets annoying. Once or twice is enough.
I hope management takes this as constructive feedback, because this gym has great potential with a few key changes.

First, I want to begin by saying I don't write reviews. Although, Tatyana was fab-u-lous She insisted I write one. I should be more scrupulous about reviews and my health. Thus, here I am. Sweet soul. Called and she was so nice. Came in to visit as a guest some time ago, felt so welcomed by her. Very professional & outgoing even with how early morning it was. The devices to check me in were down she still took care of me. You go mamas! The 4 stars is due to the pool area. Pros:
1. Friendly front desk staff and cool gym members.

Cons:
1. Rusty equipment and No leg press machine/squat rack. They have Smith machine and the simple leg press machine you see at hotel gyms.
2. Not 24 hrs so there is a herd of people at 5am.
3. Men’s locker room smells like Chinatown.

Gym needs a major upgrade. Does not live up to EOS brand.

I've been to several gyms in the last few years. This is by far my favorite. The equipment fits my body ergonomics so im not getting injured by crazy grips and angles. There's plenty of big plates so I don't have to go far to get enough to load up the bars. When something breaks, its usually fixed pretty quickly. No waiting until forever just to use something again. There's a lot of space to work on a typical day, with only a few occasions where its packed (i hope it stays this way)....
Its easy to make friends, at least in the mornings when I go. People are pretty cool and I don't really see anyone with attitudes. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Tatyana greets us with a smile every day and always has a great attitude.
The ONLY negatives I've experienced so far is the rare occasion of someone using a piece of equipment that only 1 exists in the gym, and they use it eternally. Typically, the bigger guys and gals are happy to share. The other, more petty thing, is the massage chairs are hard to get tuned in just right so they don't always do the best job on my back.
All things considered, I really enjoy this location. I've had great workouts and look forward to many more.

The worst. Worst than 24 fitness. Their customer service is non existent. They hung up on you, transfer you to the wrong place. Simply despicable. Less than 2 hours as their ""client"" and I already wanted to cancel. They are nasty. Specially @ DOWNTOWN LA They lied to sell a membership with services I didn't need or ask and I didn't want. But kept literally telling lies to get me into it. Allegedly as a one time super special offer and turns out the whole deal is widely available online. I needed a 24 hrs open club close to me and a personal trainer after 7 pm. That confirmed everything and matched me with the best coach for my needs. Supposedly. After I purchased the membership and the coach program, they Told me the club was actually 24hrs like 6 months ago, not anymore and the trainer wasn't available during the hours I needed. And that actually I needed to leave soon because they were about to close. Literally let me standing at the desk by myself. Thas is not honest, legit or good practices. I went over there to get the best option and help possible, NOT TO GET RIPPED OFF 😞

They LIED on everything, payments, duration, terms, hours , available service even the information on my paperwork isn't what I wanted and is All shady and ambiguous I was not explained at all what I was signing in to. After they manage to SELL, they ignored me , answered my questions with lies and more lies , kicked me out the club and the employees desk because it was closing time and turns out that I have to pay now double than what was agreed, and in half of the time. And of course no one is available to help. They Forced services in to my choices and aggressively pushed me to buy a service by telling lies and distorted information. Worst than 24 fitness

This place is a masterclass: how to disrespect your customers, lower the value of your business, anger your base, and raise prices over and over and over and over and over.

They have now gone from a $6.99 a month gym in 2020 ("we PROMISE we'll NEVER raise your price, if you'll support us early in getting our first 1000 members! That's our PROMISE to you!")

Then in 2023, it went to $15 ("Inflation, sorry guys, we can't keep our promise! But don't worry, we'll NEVER raise prices again, for YOU, our loyal customer.)

NOW, they raised prices to $50 a month! $50!! From $6.99!!
Did their overhead go up by 700% ??
Are they immediately raising the salary of their employees by 700% ??
Did they gold plate all the machines?

This is a GRIFT. This is classic corporate greed; they have PLENTY of money coming in at this gym, their overhead has NOT changed. This is some suit in a corporate suite deciding to SCREW tens of thousands of people to give the EoS CEO a bigger yacht. And I'm TIRED of it.

What's more, they're also breaking all of our contracts, which stipulate that by paying your annual fee, your rate is locked in for a year. They are ENTIRELY ignoring that with this price raise.

The leadership of this place should be ASHAMED of themselves.
