The equipment is nice, however this place gets crowded and there are WAY too many high school kids. If you want to get a good workout make sure to go before 5:30am or late at night.

Updating my review: management does nothing regarding a disgustingly dressed man who wears the highest possible underwear styled shoets which basically shows everything. Despite making multiple patrons uncomfortable he proceeds to show up often in these types of garments. Staff mentioned they cant tell people how to dress as long as it isnt actual underwear but you have to draw a line somewhere. There are children that come to this establishment. This is PATHETIC

Rating 1 star because to cancel you have to come in person , that’s not very user friendly it’s 2025 , the consumer should have access to cancel the subscription anytime they want we shouldn’t have to come in person , let’s be honest , other then that the gym it self equipment is good , and got good amenities, but for recovery specifically you get access twice a day for 10 minutes each you can use them combined and get 20 minutes I just think if your paying for there maxed out plan you should have a little more , also they get you by having you come in person if you want the cheap 9.99$ plan you gotta pay like $150 if you buy there maxed out plan you pay 1$ on debit or credit card but monthly is 30 or 35$ I forgot the exact amount but that’s very consumer predatory , if this gym can fix those practices, then I’d rate them higher but we gotta keep things crystal clear , I’m fine with paying a high premium for a gym membership just keep it honest and clear you know

I had a very bad experience trying to cancel my membership. I asked to cancel two months ago, and the guy who helped me back then was super nice. However, I noticed that I was still being charged in October, so I came back to fix it. This time, the woman who helped me was extremely rude, pretended not to understand me (even though I explained everything clearly), and said my cancellation was still pending and would probably only go through next month.

Every time I try to cancel, I have problems it feels like they make it as difficult as possible. So if you plan to join this gym, be aware that canceling your membership is a real headache.

You have to be very careful when joining this gym.

1. The prices in the advertisements are not the same as what they actually charge. The staff just make excuses and blame each other.
2. If you cancel your membership after using it for a few days due to dissatisfaction, you still have to pay the annual membership fee — even if the reason for cancellation is that the price was different from what was advertised. Also, the monthly payment is higher than what’s shown online.
3. It’s almost impossible to cancel your membership.

Billing department does not understand a verbal cancellation from 9 months ago. Phone calls for 9 months and continues to charge us for unused training the billing guy and manager are always out. I contacted the credit card company and they are helping me. We went in in August and talked to someone who was going to fix it he was fired soon after. No that did’t work we got a new charge September 13. We reported fraud to our bank!

Overall a nice facility but I’ve experienced nothing but grief with staff interactions. I’ve had my workouts interrupted by trainers trying to sell to me and graciously declining does little to dissuade them. Was checking out for a drink and my membership has changed and the system removed my card on file. The associate at the checkout told me there is no card because “I’m not paying for a membership…” which is very much not the case.

Part of your gym’s agreement with my employer’s benefits package is that they will pay for it - I work for that benefit and I most definitely pay into that program.

Most of the staff is kind but the customer service model seems too focused on making money, not retaining members or their satisfaction.

EOS in Oceanside is over crowded.
The recovery room with the masssge chairs that are extra on the membership are always in use.
I signed up 2 weeks ago with the guest privileges so my GF could come. She didn’t like it because it’s not clean.
I ask to removed that from my membership and there is a 50 dollar charge to downgrade.
Wow.
So I cancelled the membership all together.

I’m going to warn all my friends that I was sharing with to join to go to LA fitness which o am also a member of.
Clean and never overcrowded like EOS. Upfront with all costs.

If o wasn’t going to be charged the 50 to downgrade I would have kept the membership.

Now it cost EOS th continued monthly dues I would have paid as well as potential memberships from my friends.

Beware EOS is not the place to go and they do not value their members.

This gym has its pros and cons but sometimes it seems that the cons outweigh the positives. First of all the a/c doesn’t work or is ever on. They have the overhead fans going but it feels humid inside. I’ve asked the workers about it and they said it doesn’t work. The treadmills need adjusting. The belts slip and you may blow your knee out. I’ve mentioned it and nothing gets done.Treadmill #’s 3, ,8, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 all have something messed up about it. One has been out of service for a month. The sauna is disgusting. The wood is black from all the dirt and sweat. The light in the men’s locker room has been out for a month. I told the workers there and he stated he put in a request and it was denied. DENIED!!! that where people from the pool come in the locker room. Floor is all wet. I’ve seen people slip. We have elderly men that use the pool. God forbid something happens to them. Stall #3 shower head is busted. Water comes out of the threads and mother shower head. So much soap scum on the tile grout. Getting to. the point where I am starting to look for another gym. I’m not one to complain but it’s like nobody cares. Don’t want to get anyone in trouble but maybe the health department should come by for a visit. It’s not the workers fault. Their hands are tied. It’s a management issue. Take more pride in the gun and it will be so much better. Hope this helps make a difference because nothing else seems to.

This might be the worst gym of all time. Yes, they have a lot of amenities. But it is SO DAMN CROWDED at all regular hours of the day (not just peak 4:30-7:00, which is insanely crowded!), the free weights wall is always bare and the benches, weight machines full of people waiting to use them. There are plenty of cardio machines, but everything else is an exercise in extreme patience. Who wants to wait for each peice of equipment? Each trip here was one filled with frustration and leaving just feeling annoyed with the whole experience. Btw their sauna is also comically small…like it would be an appropriate size for a small-to-medium sized hotel, but for this massive gym, it’s a joke! You’ll even have to wait for the shitter most days, 3 men’s toilets for the massive crowds that show up to this place! Even the parking situation is a pain…btw they are putting another building and business in there so that is only gonna get worse.

To add to this frustration the sales person there (Assistant GM) signed me up for the premium membership when I went in wanting the cheapest option ($15.99/month) which is what they advertise on their website. He insisted that didn’t apply to this club because it’s a premium club. THIS WAS A LIE!!! When I went to cancel and brought this up to him he insisted that this was still the best plan for 2 people ($22-25/month each), do the math, how is that better suited to someone who only intends to use the 1 club?? DISHONEST!!! This is a bad business folks and a bad gym to go to.

Classes: Amazing variety of classes with encouraging instructors and no condemnation. Whatever level you’re at, it’s a comfortable situation. Everyone tries to do their best. Meet new friends!
The gym: Plenty of workout equipment. Most of the time you can find something to work on. In the 24 hours, there’s bound to be something you can use. There is one room filled with bikes that shows pretty exciting movies that keeps you riding at a fast pace. The pool is usually fairly empty.
Trainers: You can get a competent personal trainer at a reasonable cost that will greatly enhance your fitness lifestyle. Parking is a little tricky in the after work hours so plan accordingly.

I am currently a member and heavily rethinking it. Equipment that I request week after week to be fixed doesn't get adequately fixed. Almost fell off a row machine with loose seat traction that doesn't slide properly. Exercise bikes with moving arms don't work and the only one that was new was moved to a private exercise room. People who work out there are nice but cannot rerack weights., I don't want to rerack 45 lb plates from a barbell. Also stepped on gum several times at this gym. Maybe I just have terrible luck here. Moved up from SD where I went to 24 hour fitness chains, Fit and lastly equinox and had much better experiences. Staff are apologetic but nothing changes. Machines get so much wear since a lot of people use this gym. So even if it's a "new gym" the equipment is worn out or does not slide properly. I often cannot get on machines that I want to use without waiting over 8-10 minutes.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I had attempted to cancel my membership with Eos on 5 separate occasions. After I was told my account was canceled I received a call from a debt collector attempting to collect 250 dollars from me for a 29$ gym membership I had canceled 8 months prior. The manager who I spoke with had assured me everything had been taken care of only to find out months later he never canceled my account even with proof of a move out of state.

Their memberships are extremely affordable considering the quality of the facility. The gym itself is amazing. However, I’ve had a lot of financial setbacks since joining in August so I’ve been attempting to pause or cancel payments with great difficulty despite commuting with Hayden directly via email and on the phone. When I signed up I was told that I could easily pause my membership payments if necessary and that could not be further from the truth. I’ve repeatedly been charged for personal training sessions I never was able to use despite communicating that I couldn’t use them. I’ve also been trying to cancel my membership for two months now because I had to abruptly move away from San Diego and the area I’m in now doesn’t have an EOS location anywhere near it. The staff is super nice and great with communication when you go in for a tour or when you first sign up. But after that it’s like pulling teeth trying to get responses from people. I have sent Hayden several emails over the past few months with only 2 or 3 responses and I can only assume that he is intentionally ignoring me at this point since he knows I’m trying to cancel my membership and PT sessions. The gym is great but definitely not anything special enough to justify the hassle.

*update: Eventually I had to block EOS charges through my bank because I’d file chargebacks and just kept getting recharged - all while living out of my car and not having a job. About 6 months later I start getting calls from collections. I provided more than enough proof to show that I am not responsible for the charges but the collections agency said I had to get EOS to remove the charges from collections. It took me calling EOS 4 separate times (keep in mind I am still living 3 hours away from any EOS location) for them to finally do their jobs and properly cancel everything. The only reason I got anywhere with that 4th call is because I refused to accept yet another promise for a callback. The whole thing was asinine.

I recently had issues with my account and had to ask the staff for help. The staff that helped me the most was Tivi. She did a great job in supporting me in my account issue. This gym is always overcrowded and uncomfortably hot, with very little airflow inside. It’s hard to get a workout in peace because there are constantly large groups working out together or long lines for equipment. The pool often looks dirty and poorly maintained. On top of that, the sales staff is overly aggressive calling nonstop throughout the day to push membership sign-ups or upgrades. It’s overwhelming and honestly just frustrating.

I signed up for a membership knowing I'd only be in California for 3 months. The manager, Justin, and I agreed on 1-3 personal training sessions at a discounted price. This was in January. On March 28th I called ABC Fitness solutions as I was receiving voicemails that I had a past due balance. I was notified that I owed OVER $500 and that I would need to pay or I would be SENT TO COLLECTIONS. In a panic I called EOS Oceanside and was able to speak to Justin DIRECTLY. Justin stated that this was a big mistake and that it would be resolved. The voicemails stopped but then I started receiving emails and letters at my home address in Texas. Over the course of the past 2 months I have called EOS MULTIPLE TIMES to get this fixed. All of the people I have talked to at the front desk say the SAME THINGS. That they spoke to Justin and it will be resolved. Was never put in touch with Justin directly again. I just got another email stating that I owe $80.96. Since I cancelled my membership a few months ago and this whole situation has been handled, why am I still getting these emails? "This communication is an attempt to collect a debt and is from a debt collector". Is this a joke? Justin and all of the staff I have come into contact with were super friendly but this whole situation has gotten to be SO ridiculous and VERY frustrating that I have to leave this review in hopes that someone will fix this.

Great gym with a lot to offer, but it’s too crowded!
I really enjoy the variety of equipment and classes at EOS Fitness, but the locations I’ve visited feel overwhelmingly packed most of the time. It would be fantastic if they opened new locations in areas like Oceanside or Vista to help spread out the crowd.

One thing to be aware of: canceling a membership can be a real headache. You can’t cancel it in person—they’ll tell you to do it online, but the website often doesn’t work, seemingly by design. The system is practically set up to keep you locked in. If you really want to cancel, the only reliable solution is to contact your credit card provider, block EOS transactions, and dispute any unwanted charges. In some cases, you might even need to request a new credit card. It’s a frustrating process, but unfortunately, it seems like the only way.

I was just harassed by Sunjay(GM). I've been coming here since 2019 and never been harassed. I asked Sunjay to please walk away over a dozen times and kept harassing me. I come once a week to EOS with my son. I've been a member of 24 Hour Fitness for 30 years at over 25 locations. I used to live in SD for 20 years and now live in OC. I only come to this gym with my son. I've been in the restaurant business and local community for 35 years. There's better ways of handling things. Especially, when I visit your gym once a week since 2019.

The five stars shine bright mostly because of the staff and, in particular, the trainers. The roster of trainers is wide and varied, so there is a high likelihood of being matched with a trainer that suits your training style and personality. Several come from experienced fitness backgrounds, as well as education in exercise sciences.

There are two sole criticisms, albeit a consequence of the aforementioned affordability and accessibility. Firstly, the gym tends to crowd at peak times - a familiar con for any box gym. Secondly, a personal gripe is that the men's bathroom could use more consistent maintenance prior to or after high traffic periods, which is perceived mostly by the smell.

Do give this gym a try. It's well within the price of a budget gym but with more offerings, especially many platforms and squat racks.

Although the sauna is a little bit on the smaller side, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it broken down. Additionally, the turf is a little bit larger than other locations. Along with that, they also have two slide.

Not to mention their outside area, but it also has a sledding area. Lastly, I will say that if you come when it’s busy, prepare for the men’s restroom to be busy.

No, the main reason for my five star review is there 360 full rotation treadmill in the back that does different settings from hiking all the way to different H.I.I.T levels

But real quick, real quick, last thing, parking can be a doozy when it’s busy so come ready to do circles. Hahaha

Ive been coming to Eos/Oceanside for about a year now and love it. Katy, Lalena and Alexis are wonderful. I have a request....i would love a step class offered. Amy is excellent and provides a level that is not only beneficial but offers a new and fun option for us.

I really enjoyed my workout at EōS fitness, the place was tidy and the staff were really helpful and knowledgeable, I remember Isaias in particular he gave great workout recommendations as well as healthy food tips.

I love this gym, it’s convenient, reasonably priced, and has a lot of amenities to offer. Awesome A level staff and dedicated to delivering service. I only come here for group classes. I love the instructors here. Body pump, body combat and zumba are my favorite. All the instructors are wonderful and each of them bring their own unique style and energy to the class. A special shout out to Angelique Hill. She is so upbeat and really motivates us during class. I love her energy!!
Other instructors that are great are Julie Mellano, Margaret D, Kylie Alvarado, Lupe(Zumba) and Lindsey K.
