The gym is getting worse every day
Equipment not working, sales being rude to their customers, and the place is disgusting it’s never clean. That dude named Christian lying to their customers about a promotion going on which in reality that’s the main price of their gym membership.
I was approached by a coach the other day, telling me that I was fat and I need a personal trainer.

I went in today for a tour and I could feel my tour guide didn’t know to much when it came to the pricing at all… and when I said no to the whole personal trainer thing I kept being pushed around… and then when I said “no and I don’t want that and don’t want to waste my time or yours” she insisted on keep trying !!!! When someone says NO it’s means no. I then had to ask about the price I saw online as she kept going where it was high end still…. Also said there was a pool online , false the Oxnard location does NOT have a pool. Between being pushed and pushed and the advertising not being correct I am good. I told her we needed to talk it over which we did , but 7pm this same night they are calling me !!!!! Not good at all very pushy people !!!!!

Its a nice area but the gym has gotten from bad to worse the lockers smell like mad feces the sauna doesn't work on mens and womens side. Alot of broken machines that have been broken for months and have not been fixed specially the back area 2 out of 8 stair masters work. They fired the maintenance guy and dont have a maintenance crew. at this point im moving to UFC gym

Updating my review to 5 stars. Over the recent year or so the team has really stepped up their game making sure equipment and the supplies are maintained. Was trying to get a 2 week pass because we were in town for work and just wanna have a place to work out but this dude named JEFF just wasted our time trying to hard sell us some membership we dont want even though we told him multiple times that we cant have a membership and we're not interested at all but he kept on hard selling it. He seemed pretty incomeptent and obviously looked like he didnt know what he was talking about and was just pushing for us to get membership. Dude just wasted our time.

The gym was spacious, good equipment, however, there was a 7 day free pass to try out the gym, I’ve had many passes for gyms. Never have I been pressured so much to pay up front on the first day. I would’ve honestly probably paid for a membership if I was just able to walk in and be left alone to try the equipment. They kept my military ID in the front until I was done, then once I got it back they asked again if I want to get a membership. I’m aware that’s your job, but if you would allow the person to actually try the pass without being pressured you’d have more sales. Never coming here again, never had a 7 day pass with so many stipulations. I couldn’t even try the equipment before they tried selling me a membership.

The AC in spinning Class is not working today. I love this class and instructors are great! Glad Tyler Lopez - staff worked on it as he said he will.
As a senior member, this gym is what we need! This Oxnard Gold's Gym has all the greats. Front desk staff are alert, pleasant, friendly & cleaning crew are always hard at work!.

"Old Man Yells At Cloud " Another gym has fallen to hordes of teenagers. It's the reason I left 24 hour fitness down the street 2 years ago. Never been to a gym that literally every machine and bench (besides cardio) was taken until last monday night at 9pm. No idea how you fix this but this can't be sustainable. Also, if you're just going to give a canned chatgpt response don't bother and, unless you have an over crowding plan/solution you'd like to share please do not respond. It's patronizing.

The experience is great because of the instructor Suzy she makes the classes challenging and wanting to come back and do the class again she knows what she is doing and is friendly and welcoming everyone I see her I will continue to go back as long as Suzy is teaching the class. I appreciate the fact that the door to the classes are open before hand for those of us that I arrive early I am able to set up my space before and be able to go other exercises I look forward to that. The overall appearance of the gym it is dirty the floors the machines half of them are broken and there’s never enough paper towels the women’s bathroom is very dirty it needs to get swept and mopped and there’s never enough toilet paper. After being at golds gym Oxnard for two years it’s has came to my attention the super unprofessional tactic used to train the employees in using deceitful tactics to ensure Financial gain , dishonesty and disinformation is not a way to keep a costumer, please review all terms and polices before submitting your paperwork do not trust what the representative is telling you in regards to no annually fees if you join today or waiving any cost for they don’t have the power or jurisdiction to do so and it is a form of forgery. I have been a member here for some time now and am very disappointed in the way it has changed. To begin, the bathrooms are frequently out of toilet paper or seat covers, the napkins used to disinfect equipment are also out more often than they are not, and management takes an unusually long time to repair equipment.

The manager, Keaneau, also does not respond to emails. When a matter needs to be resolved, you would expect to receive answers from the manager, but when your email isn’t even acknowledged, it’s very disappointing. I do not feel as though I’ve been treated as a valued member.

The management at this Gold’s Gym is seriously lacking. They don’t seem to care about fixing broken equipment or addressing issues when members bring them up. The staff often seems unorganized, and there’s little to no communication between management and the rest of the team. It’s frustrating to see problems go ignored, and it really affects the overall experience. Until they get their act together, I won’t be coming back.

I went to this gym while stationed nearby in the military. When I got military orders to leave the state I brought them in and sat down with one of the workers at his desk and he told me he canceled my membership and said I was good to go. I then found out months later they didn’t cancel my membership and I was still being charged. Golds then refused to do anything about it. I blocked the charges from my bank account and called them over the phone and they again told me they would stop the charges. They lied again. Not only did they not reimburse me, they sent my payments to collections and refuse to do anything about it. On top of that the gym was not even enjoyable.

I am absolutely disgusted by this company. In December, I paid in full for a new membership, and they specifically told me they would cancel my old membership. Well, they didn’t. I’ve been going back and forth with their team for months, and I’m still getting charged! It’s been three months in a row now, and no one is taking responsibility.

The manager I spoke with promised to create a temporary account using my debit card to reimburse me, but that never happened. The charges keep coming, and I haven’t seen a single penny refunded. The salesperson lied to me from the start, and now the manager is making excuses and providing fake solutions just to get me off the phone.

This company is full of lying management team, and they’ve wasted my time and money. I will not remove this review until I am fully reimbursed and receive clarification on what was promised to me.

I really hated my experience here. The male staff or managers do their hardest to pressure you into paying for sessions for fitness trainers with their plans saying "oh we have a deal going on that expires next week" and they would not lay off no matter how much indicated that I did not want to invest in sessions. Eventually a week later I was pressured because they reached out to me again through message and I did it and regretted it. They had a new trainer come in, the managers told me that the trainers would never push you past your limit or too hard, this guy pushed me beyond that and didn't teach me much about what I was going to his sessions for, low-key he sucked for me. Either way, the gym water fountain was always not working for me, the paper towels were often out and I couldn't clean my areas. Allot of their cardio equipment was consistently broken and it took them allot longer than they claimed repairs take (2-3 days when "most gyms take 2 months but not us"), made their gym sound like it was all that and some sauce when it wasn't even a slice. Hated this gym, never go here. I'm sure their staff are all the same at other locations too, trying to pressure you into buying training sessions and don't fix equipment fast enough. Never coming back.

I had a really disappointing experience at Gold’s Gym. First, I encountered rude employees who seemed uninterested in assisting me or answering questions. The equipment wasn’t well-maintained, and several machines appeared to be in need of service or repairs. To top it off, the check-in scanner wasn’t working properly, causing unnecessary delays and confusion at the front desk. VERY DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES!

Signed up for a gym membership back in February of 2023 under some promotion they were doing under my brother, fast forward to December 4th of that year which was the last time I went to golds gym I spoke with someone from the sales department regarding canceling my gym membership because I was signing up for mma and no longer wished to continue coming to golds.

Not sure if the employee I spoke with still works there but he lied to me about canceling my gym membership because apparently they were still charging my brother under his account and was not made aware about this until today. Honestly that's my fault for assuming that their employees were honest but I can see why now California passed a law saying that any membership that you can sign-up for online, must be able to be cancelled online.

The sales employee who lied to met about canceling my membership is a dishonest clown.

La peor experiencia que he tenido en un gym es con Gold’s gym

1- Son MUY insistentes en que adquieras los planes más caros con “ofertas”

2- Son MUY insistentes en que tomes cita con entrenador que es caro e intensamente insistentes, hasta muestran su cara de enfado cuando no lo haces

3- Nunca te dicen que cuando termina tu membresía se seguirá cobrando aunque no vayas, perdí mi tarjeta y deje de ir pensando que pararían los cobros pero no fue así

4- Te dan una cantidad para poder cancelar que son alrededor de 100 dólares y dicen que ellos te ayudan a cancelar pero no es así

5- Te llaman varias personas y se contradicen, dicen que ellos no te pueden ayudar a cancelar, otros me dijeron que sí pero tenía que ir al gym y al momento de llegar me dicen que ahí no pueden ayudarme a cancelar

6- Todavía tienen el descaro de decirte que le hagas como quieras pero tienes que pagar o seguirá corriendo y te amenazan con mandar tu cobro a collection

De verdad que si pudiera darle 0 estrellas lo haría sin duda alguna, esto es una estafa! Nunca te dicen las cosas claras hasta que quieres cancelar
