I spent a lot of money on personal training and it was not effective AT ALL!!!! A complete waste of money and not worth the price. The basic membership is the only thing worth it at these gyms. I’ve went through three gyms and the personal training is all the same, ineffective! $160 every two weeks, okay fine I agreed to that. However, the trainer is suppose to customize a workout plan for you to work on outside of your sessions, and again three gyms, two trainers later and nope did not happen.
1. With the first gym the trainer left after I had two sessions with him. He attempted to put with me another trainer however the gym was too not good and switched gyms.
2. The second gym never got a trainer for an entire month.
3. Moved to the third gym, trainer was good but realized I the entire time I wasn’t getting the customize weekly workouts and therefore my progress went nowhere. $160 for one session a week is what it came out to and that’s ridiculous!

So I like the gym for the most part, been coming here since I was a teenager when it was Golds Gym. The service is was kills it for me at this EOS. When I wanna do something simple like get a guest pass or change my membership tier they tell me there’s nothing they can do?? It’s 3:30pm? Why is the manager not in? Says they work till 5pm but I guess that doesn’t matter if the manager just happens to be out to lunch when you call.
Also they will happen to change the tier membership benefits without informing you. One day you are able to bring guests the next day you can’t. All in all the service just stinks.

I have had a student membership at this gym for two semesters. While there is encouragement to get personal training, nobody seems very pushy after the initial sell. Everyone is very nice and helpful. The facilities seem clean and there is an overall positive atmosphere. I did purchase personal training and have found it to be really helpful and encourages me to use my membership. A great place for beginners.

Three stars. It is a great gym, has a ton of amenities and classes and great equipment. However, it’s so busy ALL THE TIME you can’t even get a work out in. It looks like an amusement park crowd in there. It’s fifteen plus minute wait for one piece and almost everything is taken. Mostly good for teens to stand around in a group taking turns. I’m actually cancelling my membership. I know it’s busy because it’s the biggest gym that is accessible in the area but it’s more of a headache than a workout.

Gabriel, you are a very bad manager. This gym charged me my annual membership twice. The first one in December when I signed up and a second one in February when I decided to upgrade my membership. Gabriel said my membership fee would be charged until December 2025 but didn’t. Some months they charge me $22 for monthly fee and someone they charge me $32.
Gabriel said he would reverse the second annual membership fee back in March. He asked me for two weeks to get this done. Nothing has been solved. My membership is active and Current.

During my visit for the complimentary seven-day trial, I had a consultation with a fitness specialist. To be frank, it would be best to refrain from wasting your time. I found myself in a situation where I felt an overwhelming pressure to commit to a gym membership without even having the chance to test out the equipment. What is the purpose of offering a free trial period if one cannot fully experience the gym? This was by far one of the most intense sales experiences I have encountered. Consequently, I decided to leave as the overall experience was quite disappointing.

I have been taking the Monday and Wednesday spin classes with Cayla for a few months now and she is amazing! She always has a bright smile and kind word. She pushes her students to better than their last class without being overly competitive.

I am a Senior who signed up with this gym in their Palm Desert location. I wanted a Renew Active membership through my health insurance but the sales representative tried to sell me an “upgrade” of the plan for “only” $10 a month. She even said I could bring a guest with me any time so I thought I’d give it a try. After 3 days, I decided to CANCEL my membership because not only was the gym always TOO CROWDED, my husband and I planned on moving to a cooler place for the summer. Despite cancelling my membership, I saw a CHARGE on my CREDIT CARD for $69.95. I was livid! I personally came to gym to ask why I was being charged an ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE when I did NOT even use their gym. The Front Desk person explained that it was their POLICY to do so. I tried calling their Customer Service line to complain and to demand a refund. I spoke with a representative who told me that she was going to handle the case. It has been almost a month with NO REFUND in sight. I actually read on the Nextdoor App a lot of similar complaints like mine. Too bad I read them after the fact. I intend to report this company to the Better Business Bureau.

I found it rather odd that a spin class would still be almost completely open an hour before it started. Walked in to see only 4 people and the instructor in the spin. Studio. Set up my spin bike and started. The music was so loud and the gfi was trying to yell over the music. She yelled at two of the 4 other members for talking quietly btw themselves. I hoping the instructor was a sub this the reason for low interest in the class and not the norm. I stay about 10 minutes then walked out to go do cardio on the treadmill. I spoke to on of the trainers to let them know about my experience and that as a NASM CPT myself, I was extremely disappointed. She may have the potential to be a decent gfi with proper training and mentoring.

I actually don't have any real issues with the staff or venue, I just feel taken advantage of because I made it very clear when I signed up that I only intended for a one month membership, and I needed to know what the grand total for that would be (all joiners fees, annual fees, cancelation fees etc. included). I was told it would be around $70, both when I inquired on the phone and when I signed up in person. I clarified this multiple times throughout the conversation and was repeatedly reassured that yes, it will only cost $70, which is not bad but not terribly cheap either.

Ultimately, I was not billed for $70, but instead $147, which is more than twice what I was promised. I could not have been more clear throughout the entire signup process and can't help feel misled by their dishonesty. Nothing I can do now except warn people that signing up for a short-term membership here is a very very bad idea.

I wanted to come train with my two brothers. One of them entered with my pass, and the other requested a 7-day free trial. We were assisted by someone with a terrible attitude who tried to pressure my brother into buying a membership and, in the end, refused to give him the 7-day trial because he’s not a permanent resident of the United States.

I had got a membership here, over all the gym was a 4 1/2 star, but I had a sales man false advertise me a personal training membership plan or whatever, and he had made it appear as if I could sign up for the personal training membership and come try it but that wasn’t the case. I’m writing to express concern and disappointment about the recurring issues with the Kids Club availability at Eos. I’ve had several instances where I’ve called ahead, been told there was availability, and arrived after a 30-minute drive only to be turned away — often being told that walk-ins aren’t accepted.

Today was especially upsetting. I called while on my way and was told there was one spot left. At no point was I informed that Kids Club would be closing in 10 minutes. When I arrived, I was unable to check in — and my child, who had been so excited to see her friends, cried all the way home. She truly loves Kids Club, and it’s heartbreaking to see her so disappointed over something that should be a positive experience.

There have also been other times when I was told the Kids Club was full, but I decided to come anyway — and when I walked by, the room was nearly or completely empty. This makes it very hard to trust the information I receive over the phone and leaves me unsure of how to plan visits. As a parent traveling from farther away, I need reliable and consistent communication from your staff.

Every EŌS I go to they seem to never have my personal trainer on my buddy list. Takes 20 mins to gym every time I come because I have to re put in his information. Constantly being pushy with sales. The employee even said I should just pay for another account to avoid this problem when I already pay the extra for buddy. I know every time I come in I won’t be able to gym tell they push sales on to me. It’s clean, spacious but the machines are old and rusting. I was worried about rust poisoning. This location has the oldest equipment compared to the other locations. Definitely don’t want to come this location again employee was pushy with a bad attitude and the equipment didn’t feel safe.

While I understand the reasoning behind the free trial/free pass, the attention to detail at this location was exceptionally frustrating and time wasting. My mother and I signed up for the free 7 day pass online, and received a call shortly thereafter from a sales associate making an appointment for a tour before started our 7 day pass. We went down to the gym at our appointment time and waited for the meeting. But when they saw my Mom's ID wasnt local, they said they would only give free passes to locals. I explained that my parents are snowbirds and spend their winters down in Palm Desert, but their other/primary residence is in Oregon. They didnt budge, stating that passes are for locals with ID to prove it, because people who come to Palm Springs for vacation take advantage of the free trial while they're in town. So unless you can prove you're a local and are interested in potentially buying a membership, then the free pass wouldnt be honored and we'd be charged 20 dollars a day for a workout. What a waste of our time. Was thrilled that my nearly 80 year old mother was curious about getting into a gym again, but she immediately asked to go right back home after being turned down for her trial. While she may have joined for the half of the year they are in the desert, instead, because feeling so unwelcomed, will never come back to this place again.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment and concern regarding a recent experience I had at your location involving the General Manager, Gabriel Alejo. The level of unprofessionalism and rudeness I encountered was completely unacceptable and made me feel like I was in a hostile and uncomfortable environment. From the moment I mentioned I was visiting as a guest and not intending to purchase a membership, the General Manager’s demeanor shifted drastically. He stated I do not have the ability to try out the class because like the membership my mom had mentioned I do know have access to and I should know that. He became sarcastic and condescending, clearly upset by my decision. Rather than offering a welcoming experience, he seemed more concerned with asserting control than providing any level of customer service. At one point, he even suggested that I didn’t know what I was signing, despite the fact that I was reading everything clearly on the screen. He continued to harass me by saying it would sign me up for a membership, and then insisted I sign it anyway—leaving me confused and uncomfortable. Making remarks as to not “pull” the signing pad or it would disconnect and I would have to sit there for 30 minutes until it turned on again. Etc. It’s incredibly disappointing to see someone in a leadership role act in such an unprofessional manner. The title of “General Manager” should come with the responsibility of creating a positive environment for all guests, not inflating one’s ego at the expense of others. Not to mention members I have talked to have also had issues with this man Gabriel Alejo. I hope this matter is taken seriously, and that necessary steps are taken to ensure other guests do not experience the same treatment

After a couple upsetting experiences at this location Rosie has been very kind and understanding with me hearing me out with all my problems and taking care of my account needs, she definitely has been one of the few bright points of this location and seems like a very valuable asset to the team here, Derrick has also been great and super helpful !

Well equipped gym. Helpful staff. Knowledgeable trainers. Maintenance crew attends to repairs in a reasonable timeframe. Janitorial staff keeps supplies stocked and facilities clean. This smaller and older gym surpasses its newer neighbor in friendliness and helpfulness of members, as well.

Love the atmosphere of this gym, it has metal plates so it gives it a different vibe. Never busy, you never have to fight over equipment. Ask for Gabriel the general manager when you go into the gym, he’ll take care of you!

I just signed up for a membership today with Gabriel at the Palm Desert location which allows me to use at my permanent location in Texas. He was very polite and knowledgeable and made the entire process quick and easy. I highly recommend him.

I just recently joined EoS in Palm Desert. The staff member that got me set up was Miranda. I'm on a weight loss journey having lost 90lbs before joining EoS. But just relocated here and needed a new gym. Miranda instantly tuned into where I was in the journey and we had a robust, and frankly educational for me, conversation on weight loss, nutrition, and strength training. And she convinced me, for my first time ever, to start working with a trainer. That can be cost prohibitive, but she took care of setting me up on a plan that works within my budget. I had my first session with Carlos who Miranda recommended and it was awesome. Thank you so much for working with me, Miranda. You've helped set me up for success.
