This gym is an absolute disaster from start to finish. Every visit feels like stepping into chaos crowds everywhere, rooms that look like they haven’t been properly cared for in ages, and equipment that’s constantly out of commission.

The air in certain areas is so unpleasant it practically hits you in the face, and the amenities that should feel luxurious or soothing end up feeling gloomy and disappointing instead.

But the most shocking part is the staff. They move with zero urgency, zero warmth, and zero willingness to help. It’s like they’re bothered by the very idea of members existing. Instead of creating a welcoming environment, they add to the frustration with their attitude and lack of effort.

Overall, the entire place feels mismanaged, uncomfortable, and far from worth the money. It’s dramatic to say but this gym feels more like a warning than a wellness center.

Worst gym to ever go to. Had problems with my membership from day 1. They charge late fees multiple times and per person under the membership instead of per account to rack it up. I told management that I don’t want to have money taken out automatically because of the issues and you would think they would explain their policy so I could avoid fees. A manager said he noticed fees on there he couldn’t explain and put in a ticket and the next time a woman supervisor with short hair brushed me off saying it was just late fees. In sure if that’s all it was the other one would have been able to see that. This gym is scammy and I regret ever signing up.

The gym is always packed, bathrooms are gross and not maintained well, turf is tiny and smells bad , machines are always broken, sauna smells like mold, the pool waters are murky, and the movie room is always malfunctioning.

The guy who signed me up for my membership here totally lied to me. The whole reason I signed up was because I was told there would not be annual member fees like my old gym, so long as I pay a higher fee up front. I have just noticed I have been charged every year an additional $59.99 yearly membership fee ON TOP of the $90 sign up fee, and despite the sales guy in the front who told me I wouldn’t be charged yearly membership fees on top of my monthly fee. I’m pretty irritated and gross out by how dishonest this is. Canceling my membership.

Waste of time, came in to try 7 day pass at 11pm and was told by staff it needs to be activated by sales guy between 8am-9pm or have to purchase membership to go in (7day pass does not specify certain time to come in or get activation). I started going to this EoS (Santa Ana) for the swimming pool. Then I found out that they have group classes and joined cycling. The bikes are great. Easy to setup and easy to adjust as you need when in class. Clean room and great set up. As for the pool, after the remodelation, is great.

This gym smells disgusting, the turf area is the worst. People work out and sweat on it and since it is porous it does not get cleaned or sanitized. The turf is dark, dirty and it smells fishy. You’re likely to get a skin infection, mrsa, staph or ringworm. I just wouldn’t be surprised the smell alone points to heavy bacterial and mold growth. I’ve reached out to corporate and management but it has not been remedied. Management needs to get out of their office and have a look around. It should really be replaced with something more sanitary maybe a rubber like surface that can actually be cleaned and disinfected.

The gym is well equipped and has almost everything in the weight area, cardio equipment, and a nice pool and spa. It’s so popular that it is always crowded and it can be hard to get on a weight machine. There’s no working in alternation, you just have to wait (e.g. lat pulldown, rows). Clientele is mostly boys in their 20’s and 30’s and full of bro culture. I had a very rude experience with Chris A at the front desk. Ignacio, one of the managers, has excellent customer skills.

Very nice gym with plenty of machines for everyone. It's rare to have to wait to use a machine. The pool, sauna, and hot tube are just perfect for after my workouts. The place is always clean and they keep up with making sure the machines are clean and functional. The media room is cool too! It's no lights other than the machines and from the movie playing on a giant projector! Work out while you watch a popular movie!

Even when you cancel. They will still keep charging you. When you request a stop or a refund they give you a number to call that cannot process the refund. When you go back in they tell you to wait for a manager that never arrives or returns calls.

I live in Corona Del Mar, CA, but my home EōS Fitness is actually in Las Vegas since I’m there about two weeks out of the month. I first stumbled upon EōS because I’m an Equinox member and they don’t have locations in Vegas. I have to say—EōS truly impressed me. Their model is immaculate, and while they’re not positioned as a luxury gym, they absolutely give most gyms a run for their money by staying in their lane and excelling at it.

I have a background in health and fitness, having worked as a front desk supervisor at LA Fitness, Orangetheory, Crunch Fitness, and BoxHaus in Newport Beach. So I know firsthand how challenging it can be to run the front, manage operations, and balance customer expectations with behind-the-scenes tasks. That perspective makes me appreciate EōS even more.

I love that EōS offers different membership levels and benefits, including towel service, nationwide access, and extra amenities. Parking is another huge win—they have one of the best validation systems I’ve seen. Living in Newport Beach where parking garages are the norm, I really value how easy EōS makes it to park and validate without stress.

This review is focused on the Santa Ana location (on Tustin), which is the closest to me. Their setup is great: the recovery room with massage chairs is honestly the best I’ve ever experienced—they dig into knots and muscles I didn’t even know were tight. Other locations I’ve visited offer things like cold plunges, outdoor yards, boxing bags, cryo chairs, and even BBL rooms, depending on the state. I wish there was one closer to Newport, but the Santa Ana location is still worth the drive, especially with their hours.

The staff here has been consistently helpful when I’ve had questions, and overall, I’ve always heard great things about EōS since moving to the West Coast. That said, a few things could be improved:
• The women’s locker room gets extremely hot—so much so that it takes me 30 minutes to cool down. This could be a potential health risk and definitely needs attention.
• At times, the women’s restroom has run out of toilet paper, and I’ve left without seeing anyone at the desk to validate parking. I know employees juggle multiple tasks, especially overnight, but perhaps adding a second team member for coverage would help.
• Several times, I’ve noticed the cinema room lacking paper towels or spray, which could be resolved with more frequent walk-throughs in common areas.
• Unlike other gyms I’ve been part of, EōS doesn’t allow members to use the group fitness room when classes aren’t scheduled. While I understand this may be to keep things tidy or due to past misuse, it does limit flexibility.

Even with these points, EōS Santa Ana still earns five stars from me. No gym is 100% perfect, but EōS consistently delivers value, amenities, and a strong model that makes me choose them again and again. From Las Vegas to Southern California, they’ve proven to be a brand worth supporting.

Out of all the Eos I’ve been to, this one is so boujee. For those complaining about waiting for their turn for machines, obviously aren’t gym goers. By far the best with machines and cardio. I really can’t find a complaint other than the people who toss their parking tickets after getting through. I’m writing this review as a parent to warn others — especially young adults and families — about the dishonest and manipulative practices happening at EOS Gym (Tustin, CA).

My son was pressured into a membership by a staff member named Luca, even after clearly telling him that he did not have a job and could only afford a one-time $20 session with a trainer. Instead of honoring that, Luca signed him up for a $92/month bi-weekly personal training plan unable to cancel for four months — without providing anything in writing, and without showing him the terms on a tablet or paper.

When my son showed up for the session, the trainer (Mateo) showed little to no interest in helping him. That’s when my son was suddenly told he had “agreed” to a long-term commitment. At no point did he knowingly consent to that. This felt like a clear case of taking advantage of a young person who was trusting and inexperienced.

I called EOS to get it resolved. I first spoke to Adrian, who said I had to speak with the manager, Moe, and that she would help us cancel. When I spoke to Moe, she told me there was nothing she could do — that “everything had to be done online” — and sent me a cancellation link that didn’t even work. No one followed up. No one took responsibility. Once they had my son’s credit card, they didn’t care.

I eventually had to hire a lawyer to get this resolved. Only then — after legal action — was the issue fixed within two weeks. But it never should have come to that.

EOS Gym’s staff clearly uses high-pressure, deceptive tactics to trap people into long-term financial commitments. There is no transparency, no written proof provided at sign-up, and no accountability when they’re called out.

This is not a gym I would ever trust again. Be extremely careful if you or your family/friends are coerced by their sales team.

Dirty, sanitation racks are always out of paper towel or broke, machines are always broke, sauna is ALWAYS broke and the staff is half decent. Never know if you’ll be greeted with a smile or greeted at all considering the front desk is either away or acting like it’s killing them to be there. There was a roach the size of a Twix bar in the women’s bathroom one day, I took a picture of it actually then showed front desk because it was that big, I couldn’t keep that to myself. The sauna had a hole in the bench for about a month before it finally was repaired. The grass area always smells like feet.. the yoga mats look like somebody chewed on them and there is no basketball court so idk why they even lied like that on the google photos. Bottom line it is over crowded, poorly kept, and makes it hard for a consistent routine workout but if you want a cheap membership, you don’t mind the crowd, 24 hour accessibility and it’s local to you, it’ll do.

I used to think a 200$ membership at a lifetime or equinox was insane until I went here.. now I understand that you truly get what you pay for.

Compared to the gyms nearby, this can be a great option for the price. Here are the pros and cons
Pros:
- The price is unmatched. Starting at $10/month is a crazy competitive price.
- Free parking (with validation) in a covered parking garage.
- The gym is two stories. They have a lot of complex equipment that is perfect for beginners and even above average gym goers.
- Open 24/7 so you can go whenever you want.
- The AC is always working, so the workout space is at a good temperature and never smelly.
- With very few exceptions, the overall cleanliness is great.
- The staff are so friendly. I always find the front office people welcoming me with a smile.
- In my personal experience, there is no bullying, no weirdos approaching girls, no over-the-top grunting or yelling, and no Bro Science preaching that nobody asked for. Almost everyone is in their own world minding their business.

Cons:
- The gym is always super busy. If you go anytime between 3pm and 11pm, you can expect to wait 30+ minutes for each machine. A 45-minute workout takes me 1hr 45 minutes sometimes because of the wait. I am surprised there are that many people there at midnight on weekdays.
- The machines are usable, but you can tell that they are poorly maintained.
- There is no manager on duty at night, which is when I mostly go because of my work. It was annoying because I needed help with some membership stuff but only a manager could do it. When I called during weekday business hours, they said I must go in person to do anything.
- Most of the people there are beginners, so the light weights are always taken, but the heavier weights are barely ever touched. I wish they would use those racks for light weights.
- The locker room (men's) is the only place that needs more attention for cleanliness. But I get it any men's locker room is a swamp by definition.

Terrible equipment that's usually malfunctioning. The chest fly machine is misaligned so you'll mess up your shoulder. The mats are always dirty and the foam rollers are falling apart. The bathroom is usually gross and dirty.

I'd score EOS low 70s. Reviewing after being back there after a few months. Staff is really great to talk to - all willing to help - however, unable. Management - unavailable at the gym, can't escalate on the phones to "customer disservice" I wrote in to the gym executives - only to find out they moved HQ to Dallas - for the tax breaks I am sure - and being that the gym is owned by private equity... they are only there for the profit, nothing else. I have a series of complaints about equipment that is broken - and it does get repaired, some needs replacement - and that's understandable - but, in the meanwhile - this gym seems to be the redheaded stepchild. The gym has some customers that do not clean up after themselves on top of the fact that the gym isn't cleaned anywhere close to the way it should be - and that's something that they need to get on. The carpets smell SO bad - steam cleaning is a thing EOS :) The pool has black mold and that's being remediated... and that's something. So, be aware. It's not the worst, but it could be alot better. And only if I could talk to a human not in the Phillipines and a 30 minute wait, or to get an email back from someone and understand any part of it :)

OK over all the gym equipment is very outdated however they do have a bunch of machines so it kinda outweighs the negative. The staff is very friendly and nice and I’ve never had an issue with any of them. They’re always attentive and they scan your ticket as soon as you ask so that’s never been a problem. However, the gym does get very packed in the afternoons or evenings of course like any other gym but sometimes you have to wait around for a machine so it doesn’t make it a little difficult to complete your workout. The sauna has issues most of the time and it’s out of work out of service so that is an issue sometimes and then the swimming pool you can only use it when there’s no classes so call ahead of time to see if it’s been used. The parking is in the parking structure so you do need to get your ticket valet every single time that you go to the gym and most of the time the first floor is full so you have to park in the second floor parking seems pretty secured. There’s always a security guard walking around Overall I would rate this place at 4

Went in for a one day pass because I was thinking of becoming a member. They sat me down for *30* minutes asking me about my fitness goals. I said I don’t want a personal trainer, I just want to get stronger and stay mentally healthy. The employee said I “need goals” and kept asking, you want to lose weight though right? Not that it matters—but I am certainly not overweight whatsoever, and either way it’s not his place to assume that. I guess women can’t just want to be strong idk.

After my workout, I told them I didn’t want a membership because I was unsatisfied for a few reasons, one being the lack of equipment. For one, I said I couldn’t find clamps to lock in the plates on the barbells. The manager came over to argue that you have to ask the front desk for them, but I shouldn’t need them anyways because I should have better balance.. so y’all aren’t ever pushing yourself or doing higher weight?? Even the pros use clamps so weird.

Overall just very argumentative staff with a poor understanding with fitness. Particularly the manager at the time.

It's A nice gym, but management needs to make improvements. Went to the new EOS and they have current exercise equipment. And need to maintain machines, which are broke for more then a couple days. We all pay the same amount as the other gyms.. ADD BETTER UPDATED MACHINES PLEASE...Just have to add, the staff are some good peeps always greet you and helpful AF.

I enjoy the gym environment with people always kind to help, the pool is really enjoyable on hot days, the sauna feels especially good after a workout to finish the day, the environment is clean and always good.

All else from staff to weights is good but the showers need an overhaul - water is cold instead of hot very often and the bathroom’s steep floor design is not safe.

Overall, the gym is nice and provides good services with a friendly staff. In the cardio cinema, the first elliptical wobbles a lot and needs to be leveled. Someone could tip it over if they picked up enough speed. The third elliptical has a broken left handle, where the fingers wrap around. I scraped my hand on it but didn't break the skin. Might want to fix that. Hopefully with some upkeep, the gym will keep doing well.

And why is it this location has old men walking around naked in the locker room? That’s disgusting. Shouldn’t be allowed.

Otherwise its just an overcrowded gym.
The people working there are nice. Would be cool to get some free gear sometimes.

Eos Fitness has many things to be one of the best gyms, the classes, the movie cinema, literally has everything. Only thing I dont like its they dont fix quickly the sauna or the steam rooms, I have to be jumping between locations. Today’s restrooms was closed and its uncomfortable nobody cant get in. Another thing its better to have steam and sauna separated for privacy and cleanliness reasons.

Overall nice experience. This is based solely on my experience, just for this one evening. Ladies showers were dirty, hair on ALL the shower floors and ALL water massage chairs were inoperable. Normally tho it’s pretty clean and most equipment is working. Didn’t see cleaning crew this particular evening like I normally do. Staff is ALWAYS nice and courtesy whenever I come. I like that they opened the front doors for fresh air to circulate this evening so that the gym doesn’t smell like 300 people sweating and bad breathe 😂

I wish I could give EOS zero stars. This company is a scam. Protect your wallet and don’t become a member. I have been trying to cancel my membership for almost TWO YEARS and I am still being harassed about money. I haven’t been there in two years due to medical reasons. I will never go back. I was in contact with Melanie Ortiz but the second I expressed my grievances she stopped communication with me. I think you need to work on your communication skills Melanie. At this point I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contacting authorities

I’ve been coming to this gym for over a year and the sauna is broken more than half the time. It was broken for two weeks then back on for a few days. I come in and it’s broken again. I pay more money to be able to use the sauna and there really is no point. I have to pay a fee to choose a cheaper monthly rate. 30 day notice so I have to pay one more time to quit this gym. If the sauna would function normally I wouldn’t change anything. Canceling my membership.

SANTA ANA EOS: Love coming to this gym and plan on becoming a long term member until recent interaction with Kimberly, the front desk girl. I like the gym so much that I brought my 14 year old daughter in as a guest hoping to buy another membership for her if she likes it as well. With no emotional intelligence and lack of customer service skills, Kimberly rudely turn a potential new member away due age restriction of guest. "She must be 18 yo in order to be a guest." says Kimberly; actually 16 if I'm the legal guardian (ref: EOS.com). "She could be a member but just not a guest". I believe EOS decision makers ought to rethink this policy constraint if really want to scale their business in the long run. And invest more in training members on people skills. In actuality, front desk workers are the face of the business and if the tone of their voice comes off as rude when attempting to explain rules that are not entirely accurate, the customer-centric business will suffer in the long run by the compounding effect of ineffective attitude towards potential new customers and paradoxical nuisance of guest policy.
