My trainer, Rocky, is excellent. I have made a lot of progress since I have been training with him and my quality of life has greatly improved. Jay Jay is also excellent. Both are very knowledgeable and careful not to cause injuries.

I have been a member for nearly 10 years. This is definitely the nicest gym in the area however, there are some concerns:

- On Weekdays, the gym should close at 12am and on Weekends 9pm. The gym is getting so packed, even at night after the EOS transition making hard to find equipment. These are the hours that people have been asking for years (since the Covid hours switch)

- The locker rooms/sauna/showers need a renovation. Everything feels old and out dated.

- The equipment is plentiful but also getting old. The outside gym area is amazing, but the inside could use love. Hopefully this happens!

confirm then by text. Make sure the dance class is clean before the next class start . Tell People, not to enter before 5mins, so the room can be clean. Make sure No One go to the steam room in the gym without proper clothes that mean no street clothes or shoes. Oh No cell phones.

We love having Eddie teach Silver Sneakers on Wednesdays at 11am. The only problem is the class fills up to fast. Hope we can add more senior classes. It would be nice to have a Zumba Gold class and more senior fitness classes.

They have an F rating on the BBB website because they don't care about their customers.
I've been waiting on a $99 refund (required because of their mistake in the first place) for 49 days and counting. I've been told twice that it was processed; once on 3/23 and once on 4/6. I have been more than patient, and I'm still a member until my contract is up, but I'm beyond my wits end. Not to mention the general manager never once called me back about it.
If having money taken from you doesn't turn you away, maybe the fact that people apparently dye their hair in the showers (and leave the tubes on the floor and eat in the sauna (seriously- a full meal in Tupperware in the sauna), and eat on the equipment (chips and candy) will. The cleaning crew goes around vacuuming constantly, which is nice, except when they do it in the cardio theater during the last five minutes of the movie so you can't hear the end. If you speak to one of the sales people longer than "hi, good, bye" they will try to sell you protein or training sessions. The classes would be better if the sound system didn't cut out at least a few times (the teachers all have a great sense of humor about it and will sing parts of the song when it happens during Zumba).
I'd be willing to overlook most of this if it wasn't for the refund thing. The teachers, kid's club attendants, and the personal trainers have all been fantastic, but playing with my money is like playing with my emotions, and it doesn't feel good trying to go every day and knowing that someone else is going to tell you the manager is too busy to talk to you but he'll call you (and he never does) and that they all care so much but nothing is going to get done. For another week. And another. And another. I stopped going for a little while because it's THAT stressful.
There are a lot of options for gyms in Simi. I suggest you shop around before getting roped into a contract here.

This morning @5am on the customer service side with front desk. I was quite surprised at how rude the front desk lady with blonde hair was. I accidentally forget my key tag on my other set of car keys for the first time in I don’t know how many years. Her tone, attitude, and the way she was coming across was very unpleasant. It started with her saying, “do you have a key tag.” I said “yes I do, it’s on my Toyota key ring, I am sorry I accidentally forgot it. She goes “do you know your barcode.” I stated I am sorry no but I can give you my phone number.” She then goes to the side computer and to me seems like it is a complete in convenience for her to look up my number for a honest mistake. I give her my number and she goes “you are good, Make sure it doesn’t happen again.” is shocking. I simply apologized and said back again “this is my first time and accidents do happen. They are simply on my other car key ring so I apologize for not bringing them.”
. Who knows maybe something personally is going on in her life, or she had a bad nights rest, or simple hasn’t had her coffee. First impression once you walk into a business is everything.

This girl Rosie who works at the front is terrible an shouldn’t be customer facing just moved to the area was gonna sign up with a new gym this girl was saying extremely inappropriate things in front of guests I thought maybe the lady in front of me that was talking to her for a while was maybe being a Karen but at the end of it she actually showed her that she proved her wrong and she still didn’t acknowledge it and said she walked away and said I’m not gonna deal with these people today then I’m next and I told her I just moved into the area and would like to look around. She told me I had to wait no problem walks away after about five minutes of standing there asked her if I’m just supposed to stay here or what’s the deal and she said no one‘s available to give me a tour I ended up just walking on leaving for context I’m 34 and I used to work at the gym when I was 18 to 20 and been going to the gym since I was in high school can’t imagine how many other customers either walk out or cancel their memberships strictly based off of her persona

New management and front end staff are terrible. After 19 years as a member they “revoked” my membership because I didn’t immediately want to download their new app. I just wanted to work out and would’ve done it later but the nameless girl at the desk insisted and I went in without her “allowing” me in. I had never had one incident with anyone at this gym until that morning. I got a call later from their new manager and that was that. I’ll miss all of my many gym buddies which is the worst part about it but I joined another gym that I like better. Super chill. Two fly machines and many other machines that actually work and staff that doesn’t just give lip service I only wish my “revoked” membership would’ve happened sooner

So the experience at this location is just getting continuously more depressing and disappointing.
The staff is always so rude and acts like helping you is a chore.
Everyone has to pay a yearly maintenance fee for the gym which is understandable but their equipment doesnt hold up to that request.
The cable equipment is all stretched out and old looking. The mats are gross and beat up.
The spa is under kept, ect. I always see bacteria build up around sides and if it was regularly cleaned it would not look like that.
The only reason I continue to go is because the location fits my routine but it is disgusting how the staff is so unpleasant to talk to and the upkeep is weak for how much you pay for this service.

I’ve been a loyal, paying Gold’s Gym member since 2010, and I’ve never felt the level of frustration and disrespect that I experienced recently.

While sitting in the sauna, an employee came in and abruptly told everyone, “You guys need to take your shoes off.” Fair enough—everyone complied, myself included. Moments later, the same employee swung the door open aggressively and, in an even harsher tone, repeated the same order as if we were misbehaving children. At that point, I had my shoes off already, but apparently, the hidden expectation was that they needed to be left outside—a detail that wasn’t communicated the first time.

Then the regional manager (Tony Johnson) himself entered, not to clarify politely, but to authoritatively dictate to grown adults that our shoes must be outside. Regardless of how one feels about the efficacy or logic of this rule (and I personally find it questionable), there is simply no justification for addressing paying members in such an aggressive and condescending manner. So we're just letting employees at Gold's Gym bully the people who keep the lights on by paying our monthly memberships treat members like trash now?

I don’t pay my hard-earned money here—since 2010, mind you—to be barked at like a child. A gym, especially one that prides itself on community and loyalty, should treat long-standing members with respect and professionalism. Rules can be enforced without hostility.

What I experienced was a lack of basic customer service and respect from management, and frankly, it reflects poorly on the culture being set at this location.

I really enjoy my workouts at Golds. My main suggestion would be to be diligent in keeping the movies in the cinema room going. I’m just getting back into the routine and the cinema room is mainly why I rejoined. Regretfully, I almost always have to walk back to the desk and request it as it’s almost never going when I show. I was told I could cancel any time no charge. They charged me 83 dollars to cancel. 83 freaking dollars to use this super mid gym with old equipment and busted showers for 2 days, absolutely RIDICULOUS

Edit: Edwin was very helpful and I ended up not having to pay the annual fee which I greatly appreciate but I still had to pay the $23 monthly fee. Why do they offer a $1 down payment promotion if you still have to pay the monthly fee anyway?

Superior Customer Service!!
My membership had expired and I stopped by Gold's Gym to see about renewing my membership. I was greeted nicely, and connected with the manager who listened to my needs and addressed my situation with another manager. Gold's addressed my membership and that it expired, and offered me a great membership packaged that is in line with my fitness needs and goals. They also connected me with the Fitness Manager so I could get my questions answered regarding getting Personal Training. There's only 5 Stars, though the Gold's Gym Team that addressed my needs is second to none. They listed and cared for me, and I'm super excited to be a member again looking forward to training and swimming in the largest, cleanest, well equipped Gym around.

Simi Valley Golds Gym is the best Gym I’ve ever joined. The staff are attentive and professional. There are weight machines for beginners to professionals. The swimming pool is perfect for a cool swim. The jacuzzi spa will loosen tight muscles. I love the classes and will be signing up for Yoga soon. The parking lot is big.

It could be so much better. It's worth the price. They do keep gym relatively clean for large foot traffic.

But they need to repair and replace equipment. Deadlift platforms are horrible, along with spots outside. Many bars and attachments are old and very worn down. Gym could be very good with minimal upgrades.

First day here and liked the ambiance very much. Wide variety of equipment and free weights. Nice pool, and an outdoors playground I still gotta try. But they offer no towel service or for sale and I saw no one carrying a towel or paper towels offered to wipe down machines after use. Also no scales to weight oneself and track progress? The amount of times I’ve been here as a guest and asked for ID is insane. A day I forgot mine (same member every morning see’s me for 2 months) The staff decided to tell me I couldn’t come in w my partner who drove and proceeded to smirk tell me rules. Its just always awfully hot inside the gym after a certain time, no one has basic decency to clean machines after themselves, a lot of people are very territoral over machines and will also sit on there phone for the longest time on one, and many impatient and inconsiderate people. In terms of impatience, Ive seen many people start cussing at others and going off because someone else was working out and wouldnt hurry up or move for them. These are grown people who cannot act their age.
Aside from that, its a fairly nice and visually clean gym.

Gold’s Gym in Simi Valley is a beautiful gym! I have been to many gyms and this one is top notch. It’s a huge 2-story space with lots of space, gorgeous stone work, a huge theater with cardio machines to get your cardio in while watching a movie, outdoor gym and indoor gym with plenty of equipment, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, tanning rooms, lots of excellent classes, sauna, huge remodeled bathrooms and locker rooms with clean facilities and there are always plenty of machines to use. There is no standing in line to get a machine with the amount of machines they have both indoors and outdoors.

The gym itself is very nice but management has really gone downhill at this gym since I first started they've changed hands several times but I feel like management just does not care what the customer wants. They haven't really fixed up at the outside area looks pretty dirty and there's NO TARPS to protect us from the sun when it gets hot or when it rains. Asked several times about this issue and they always say," oh maybe in a couple months" it's been year not but it never happened. Really disappointed. A lot of my friends have left the gym because of this issue. Staff doesn't always seem friendly which sucks. I don't know if they just don't like their job or management is not good to them, but they're not very happy compared to the Valencia and other locations that I visited. Please get a manger who will care about this location & bring it to what it once was.

I love Maira’s Zumba classes! I also enjoy the open atrium. This gym does not feel closed in. A vast array of weights & machines. A nice gym, sauna & spacious steam room always working. Feels clean. Customer services is awful, the male staff don’t smile or greet you when you walk in, they talk to their friends only, unprofessional and every day something is out of order either the equipment or the bathroom stalls. I've been working out at Gold's Gym in Simi Valley, and it's a great gym overall. The facilities are clean, and the staff is friendly, which makes for a pleasant workout environment. I really enjoy my time there. The energy in the gym is contagious, and you leave feeling stronger and more motivated every time. I recently started joining the fitness classes they offer.. such an exhilarating experience. They are fun, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. Each session pushes you to your limits, but the sense of accomplishment you feel afterward is unmatched. When I am weight lifting, I do wish they had more equipment or duplicates of some machines, more yoga mats for stretching, and a posing room would be awesome! Despite that, it's a solid place to get your workout routine in.

I'm a swimmer...
The Pool is always fantastic..
Water is always clean & perfect temperature..
If ever there's problems, they're solved in a reasonable amount of time...The Pool maintenance Group is great too... The jacuzzi is the best, always perfect temperature and the Jets are Dyn O mite‼️
Always a great Jacuz after my swimming routine sets me off for a great evening, great sleep, & perfect next day.
Don't forget...
The sauna rooms and steam rooms and showers and locker rooms..
Always well kept...
