I’ve been a member here for a while, and unfortunately the experience has been very disappointing. The lockers are constantly broken, and even when reported, they rarely get repaired properly.
I recently returned from a business trip to Korea and had placed my membership on hold — or so I thought. When I came back, they told me the hold was never applied and refused to give me any credit. I emailed several times to resolve the issue, but all of my messages were ignored.
For the high price Equinox charges, the service and management at this location are extremely poor. Definitely not worth the cost.

Something very disturbing happened at Equinox Miracle Mile. I came back from the shower to find staff opening my locker — supposedly to help someone who claimed they lost an item during a previous visit. That person didn’t even have a locker at the time.

It’s unacceptable that staff would unlock members’ lockers without permission. It made me feel completely unsafe, like someone might have been watching me. When I reported it, staff brushed it off and acted defensive, which only made it feel more suspicious.

Between this and seeing entire rows of lockers mysteriously unlocked, I honestly believe there could be a locker theft ring involving both members and staff. For a luxury gym charging premium prices, that’s beyond alarming.

Houston the manager was supposed to call me back multiple times and never did. I’ve been trying for a week to speak to a manager and no response. Their customer service for their members is atrocious. Overcrowded, small, old equipment. Honestly this gym isn’t worth it.

The worst location in LA. The parking is as small as the gym. You won’t be able to properly workout or find parking at all.

Best showers I love the soft setting.... it's like a soft mist but good pressure still. Incredible. Front desk people are always awesome. I've gone to a lot of EQX locations and this one while smaller has a strong class line up most days of the week with truly the best instructors.
1 negative is... I wish the garage had better airflow the parking garage is probably my least favorite because of air quality but besides that love this location.

I am a new member and last night I tried this location for a class MetCon3 that it was great, but I noticed the woman bathroom was very dirty, the sauna didn't smells good as others locations. Also, the small fridge for wet towels didn't work. I mentioned this to the guys in the front desk and they didn't know about it. BTW: machines area were so crowded.

Equinox is the best, and this location is one of the top ones in Los Angeles. I appreciate that it’s spacious enough for everyone to work out comfortably, even during busy hours. The staff is very friendly and does an excellent job of maintaining a clean environment. Overall, I enjoy it a lot.

This location is huge! Very good lighting, spacious, good air circulation, clean, and the men’s bathroom looks like a spa room. I had a great shower there after working out!

No time limit for parking in the weekend:)
it means you can take your time and have a long workout session, sauna & shower routine in the weekend i love that!

I worked with a trainer, Matt McAbee, for a few months to learn more about strength training and he helped me gain a lot of confidence (and muscle!) during that time. He's very knowledgeable and encouraging, and I felt like our sessions were tailored well to my goals. If you're interested in personal training, I highly recommend him.

I also love the group classes and facilities here. It's definitely a more expensive gym membership, but if you go enough, I think it's well worth it.

I worked with Matt McAbee and Claire Bryant for a few months during the summer when I was staying in LA. Not only did I make significant progress working with them (~6-8 lbs of muscle growth, generally more stable, better posture, feel better, less lower back pain), but I genuinely enjoyed all my sessions. They’re truly some of the best trainers I’ve worked with. Positive energy, nice to be around, and deeply knowledgeable of their craft. They also knew how much to push me in terms of exertion, weight, reps, etc. I’m the kind of person who asks a lot of questions and Matt and Claire were always able to answer and help me understand proper form and my own physiology better. Highly recommend!

Beyond personal training, the club is great. Yes, it’s higher end and the cost matches that, but you get what you pay for. The equipment is great, the locker room is really nice, the music is good. Hard to beat.

I prefer this gym over West Hollywood and Culver City; it IS crowded, but feels less so. I go here most often of the Equinoxes in LA, mostly given location and the group fitness classes.

(+) great classes! Think they provide really good variety that fit my intensity level the most and crowd is younger than Century City/Sports Club LA
(+) cardio machines never that crowded, especially the bike and stairmaster
(+) parking can get sort of busy at peak 5-7pm weekdays, but never too hard to find

(-) mats in yoga/pilates/barre are RIGHT next to your neighbor; in general, I personally think they need to provide more space between attendees. Main studio classes (athletic conditioning, tabata, kickboxing) never that packed, but yoga/pilates classes are really popular at this location
(-) only wet sauna available
(-) weight lifting area is smaller than other Equinox locations (compared to West Hollywood, Hollywood)

By far my favorite of the SoCal Equinox locations. After touring Thousand Oaks, and a few other highly-rated clubs, I found this one to be the friendliest, cleanest, and with the best amenities. Although I’ve switched to a different company for my fitness regimen, they made the process for cancelling as easy as signing up.

Always clean and friendly but they are very stubborn with their class types, dates and times... The less classes the more Equinox makes so its all about the bottom line. They really lack cardio classes and they don't know their membership base very well.

My experience with pausing and then canceling my account was terrible. I moved out of the area and called to pause my account for at least 3 months. When I called, the woman I spoke with said she would email me a freeze form to sign. I never received it and was charged the full membership price. A few days later after I was billed, I called again and asked to be refunded and charged only the pause fee of $50, which they did with no problems. Unfortunately, they sent me a freeze form to pause my account for only 1 month instead of 3 (even though I spoke with someone over the phone twice to freeze for 3 months), and I received another charge of $275 in Dec. After I was charged, I asked to cancel my account and they said they were unable to refund me this time because I brought this up a few days after I was charged a full membership price. Had I known I was going to be charged $275 again I would have called them earlier before my billing period. Samm, the assistant general manager, had no problem refunding me last month, but this month they decided not to refund me despite that I reached out a few days after I was charged a full membership fee instead of a pause fee for the month of January. I was planning on becoming a member again later in the year when I moved back to LA, but my experience with the assistant general manager Samm has left me feeling unappreciated as a customer and I won’t be returning.

My Favorite Location!

Everyone is friendly, helpful, polite, & positive.

As for size, it's definitely an in-out gym, which is great for those who eventually come to know the machines, set a goal or create a plan for their workout, and feel comfortable enough to share or rotate.

The cold eucalyptus towels are my favorite. A small, but mighty luxery that goes a VERY long way after a long workout.

Cheers!

First time at this gym, hated it. Mean people, energy is off. I usually go to Culver City or Hollywood and it’s super relaxing so coming here threw me off. Home girl ELNAZ is the best but every one else i had communication with (even maintenance lady) was super rude. I wanted to use the room and it was a problem. I usually do some dancing in the yoga room and can I just say there was someone else in the room and she didn’t tell them to stop she only told me. So wack. But now I know :) I’ll stick to my other gyms :). Vibration here is very anxious

I did not want to write this review but they pushed me to a point. This gym is ridiculous. I signed up and had to beg for 3 months to even get my PT session, I still never got it. I asked them to assign me to a female trainer, they gave me a male trainer named Chris instead and he would text me after gym hours (11pm) which was highly inappropriate. I informed them of this, I asked again for a FEMALE trainer. Months go by, no one gets back to me. Now, I recently was badly injured on my back. I can no longer attend sessions. I called them to cancel my membership, a woman assured me she would get back to me, and it’s been days. Highly unprofessional at this gym. You’re better off signing up for a different location.

Honestly overall reading all of these bad and negative reviews from all equinox locations kind of drove me off from applying but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and still give it a chance, I did go to miracle mile location since it was the closest to me and my welcoming experience actually was not what I expected. Elnaz went far and beyond to make sure my first visit was as pleasing and welcoming as possible. She gave me a tour around the location and showed me where everything was at and broke down what packages included what regarding when applying. Overall really good personality and well rounded person and i couldn't be happier with her being my tour guide!

I was a member of the club for a couple of years, but under the management of Ryan Ramlose, the club turned into the horrible gym in Equinox where the staff can easily get rude to you with polite smile, yellow towels (reception suggested that I need to check my eyes, maybe I'm colorblind - I'm still shocked)
Reception staff are absolutely lazy and don't know anything. For some reason, the yoga studio warms up to a hellish temperature, when it asked many times not to do this, as it's not heated yoga. The locks in the locker room are constantly stuck and the locker is blocked. But reception told me it's only issue with me, no any complaints from other clients.

After trying out Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Miracle Mile, I decided to get a select membership to this location. It is kept very clean, the space is bright and open, the front staff is always welcoming and warm- Jordan is the best!

I also had my complementary training session with Mitchell. The initial Equifit appointment was very thorough and after my first session today I am over the moon. Mitchell was extremely attentive, paid attention to the things I told him during Equifit a few days prior and implemented movements and workouts in my session that reflected my goals and needs. He really held it down for me, encouraged me, checked in with me constantly and honored all of my little nuances.

I have worked with personal trainers before and have never felt so seen and heard. It doesn't hurt he's also not bad on the eyes (sorry not sorry)!

I am very happy with my decision to join this club and y'all should too!

I like this gym, I'd place it as one of the better Equinox gyms in the SoCal area, not as nice as Westlake, but about on par with DTLA. The staff is good, the layout makes sense, the locker rooms are fine. The showers do this weird temperature cycling thing between arctic and magma, that's fun, they hold a temp for about 20 seconds before swinging wildly to something new. However, desperately looking for another gym in the neighborhood, this one is just entirely too crowded at all hours. It's not unusual to find all the benches, machines, and free weights in use (with maybe 4 people in cardio). As soon as I find a decent replacement I'm dropping Equinox, it's not worth paying for something that isn't actually available.

I joined Equinox last week and have since become some what of a gym mouse. I used to practice yoga exclusively at Alo Yoga Studios but my favorite yoga teacher quit out of the blue! And it was never the same again. So I thought Equinox might be the next best thing. And it is! I walked in and Wendel Strong, the general manager was readily available to give me the tour. I already have a gym at home, but I was looking for something supplemental. I wanted more. And Equinox has it. Wendel signed me up and he was so friendly, so engaging. Thank you so much Wendel for your kindness, patience, dedication, passion and attentiveness to even the most mundane questions. The staff here are so friendly, from the cleaning crew, trainers like Josie, greeters and instructors It feels like walking to a group of friends each time and I love that feeling. The only issue is, I'm addicted to eucalyptus towels. My one and only complaint is the 1/2 ply toilet paper in the restroom stalls. Dear owner of this establishment, I dread using your bathroom and try to avoid as humanly possible. I would expect something like eucalyptus scented TP or like Equinox logo brand quilted ultra soft TP. But it is like literally the worst TP ..... I had to give an honest review.

A mixed bag.
Positives: clean, solid equipment quality
Downsides: small, way too many trainers on the gym floor taking up all the space. You’re either waiting for trainers to finish with equipment or being stared at to get off equipment by trainers. Paying $250+ to fight for space is just not really worth it overall

The workout floor is decent, the treadmills are the older outdated models but the space is a good size and the equipment plentiful. But the ladies locker room / bathroom is so gross. More often than not, there is urine on the toilet seats in the bathroom. Literally almost every time I have gone into a bathroom stall (except maybe 3-4 times), the toilet seat has had urine on it (obviously they have toilet seat covers but that's not the point!). There have also been multiple times I have gone to a bathroom stall and the toilet paper was out. This is all very confusing to me as there is ALWAYS a maintenance staff member present in the locker rooms, however they are usually wiping away water from around the sinks. I would rather have the bathroom stalls clean and stocked with toilet paper than wash my hands in a dry sink. Based on the rate I am paying and the seeming availability of the maintenance staff, I do not think that is too much to ask.

I joined this branch before it opened, and have been a loyal customer for its entire run. I found a pair of earbuds. Having a bad experience with their lost and found involving a lost iWatch, I went to 'lost and found' to leave my name and phone number in case anyone tried to retrieve them. I received emails and phone calls demanding that I return the earbuds to the club (due to corporate rules) immediately. I was told that if I didn't my membership was terminated. I did not receive a thank you for leaving my name and phone number and doing the right thing. I was terminated because I didn't march in tune with corporate rules. If you're a sheep that wants to be bossed around by corporate America, then general manager Andrea Burns is your wolf! The desk staff is sweet and showers are clean.

The best gym in the Miracle Mile area. It’s one of the newest Equinoxes so the equipment is brand new and the design/layout is incredible.

Some critics have cited the size of the gym, however I’ve been to dozens of different Equinoxes and this one is standard, if not slightly above average size.

Parking is also good: two hours free in the underground lot and very quick getting to and from the gym entrance via elevator bays.

One side note: I generally only use the strength equipment so I can’t comment on the quality of classes.

Overall, one of my favorite Equinoxes.

Love this new location! Yes it is a bit smaller than some of the other Equinox locations but I’ve been very happy so far since they opened back in October 2017. You get the occasional morons who go into the men’s steam room with sneakers and sweaty clothes on and who leave a mess in the locker rooms. But the crowd and vibe has been overall great. At times I do wish it was a bit larger but its the perfect size to get what you need in and continue on your hustle. If you’re in need of a solid trainer Spencer is on point as well!
