Equinox Irvine has truly become one of my favorite places. As an Executive Member, I can honestly say this location stands out — from the valet to the front desk to the training team, everyone here makes you feel like family.
Big shout-out to Rebecca Geiger for my recent body composition consultation — she was awesome, super knowledgeable, and helped me see where I need to focus (yes, I’ve got some work to do 😅). I love the cold plunges for recovery, the rooftop for a change of scenery, and the overall energy of the gym. The people here are top-tier — this place has been incredible for both my fitness and my networking.
Huge thanks to Jake, Bran, Cole, Tiffany, and everyone up front, Steven, Evan, Priya, Nikki, Katrina, Sydney Hayward (the lady who signed me up), Ernesto & Jaime at the Valet, the maintenance team, for always being kind, welcoming, and making every visit something to look forward to.
If you’re thinking about joining, do it. Say hi to people, connect, and make the most of it, you never know who you’ll meet here.

The gyms never been huge and can get crowded. But for what you pay you’d expect it gets made up for with the service and amenities and I’ll say in this year that has absolutely gone out the window. No kitchen no juice bar. Bad customer service. Not clean. I use to justify the price by saying how much nicer it is to work out in but they are determined to fade that away. Go to the other gym across the street

I love this place so much. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. All the equipment is clean, new and I personally have never needed to wait on a machine to date. After trying several other gyms over the years, I can't express just how refreshing it is to never have experienced a crowd here. The pool is so beautiful and by far the best I've ever seen at a gym. All that being said, my absolute favorite part is Amy's HIIT classes, OMG! I feel like I get more out of her 1 hour class than I would on my own in 2 weeks. Amy is the best (thank you for my new muscles), and so is this Equinox!

Jillian has been an absolute treat to work with. Her decade of experience shined in how she enrolled my Brother & I in the matter of minutes over the phone and shot straight in respect to pricing while providing exciting insights and clear expectations as new members of the Equinox club. Heavily recommend you work with her & streamline your loved ones over to her so you can secure a reliable & nurturing relationship at this club and through your fitness/wellness journey.
Thank you again Jillian & team

It looks so bad these days, it's unbelievable. Not only is the entire first floor cafe gone, you can now no longer get a protein shake. The entire cafe is gone, no food what so ever there is not even a vending machine any longer to get a bottle of water. The tile floors urgently need replacing, first floor and locker rooms. The jacuzzi in the men's has been out of repair time and time again and then fixed and broken again. The art work is crumbling off the walls in the men's locker room. The lockers are in desperate need of repair. Glass blocks in the spa are cracked and broken. There are almost no services and no luxuries anymore at all. Compared to how this place used to be as the highly regarded "Sport Club Irvine" it's come a long way down over all. Equinox does ok maintaining the gym, but the club factor of it belongs to yester year. Thumbs way down.

Every week something is broken they keep raising prices but everything is old. They changed shampoo and conditioners to cheap quality and remove hair spray. Couple of times there was no hot water. Today no hot water and after being in the hot suna I had to wash my hair wirh cold water and since I came home I feel sick and I think k I caught a cold from freezing while I was showering. Not so impressed wit this gym. Don’t recomand it.

I’ve been part of a luxury gym for years—my boys even grew up taking swim lessons & are now I’m college—but nothing compares to Equinox Sports Club Orange County. From day one, this place has been on another level.
The rooftop gym with boxing bags instantly sold me since I box almost daily. I upgraded to the Executive Membership and it was beyond worth it—valet parking, a private locker room, laundry service that comes back folded in my locker, and complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit after every workout. The showers, pool area, cold plunge, and eucalyptus towels are immaculate.
What makes it stand out even more is the staff and community. Everyone from valet to concierge is professional and warm, and members welcomed me right away. It feels like true community, which is rare.

*YOUR CONTRACT WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO CANCEL FOR THE FIRST YEAR* < Some very important information I was never told before signing up for this gym. Ok now for the review: The facility is falling apart. The wood paneling in the women’s sauna has come apart and hasn’t been fixed for months. The shower heads are always missing, broken, taped together or about to break. Why do we have drinking fountains still? This isn’t elementary school. Give us a clean, purified water dispenser. The women’s “lounge” looks like a scarce therapist’s office. There’s nothing relaxing about it. Why is there only 1 smith machine? The equipment looks and feels like it’s from the ‘90s as well as the entire gym. To pay what we do for this place is definitely not worth it. This is clearly Equinox’s most neglected gym. Nothing about it is what Equinox preaches to be. Where is all the money going towards because the place hasn’t been touched since 1999. Hello Equinox corporate! It’s 2025 now. Let’s keep up, please.

It seems like most of the 1-star reviews of this club are due to issues with the men's change room being messy and gross, which is not really the fault of the staff. Just because we pay a premium price doesn't mean you (the client) shouldn't be a responsible person and pick up after yourself and put your towels in the bin and things like that. The women's change room doesn't have this problem. I find this gym has great classes, friendly staff, and a good selection of equipment. Sure some of it's old but it works fine. I really like this gym and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

Gym is very clean, organized, and well kept! Bathrooms stay clean, saunas are clean, staff are chill. Just ONE thing tho, I was scheduled to do that free 3 day personal training and during my session with the Iden I just felt he was pressuring me to join when I didnt know what to expect yet since we JUST met, I felt a little uncomfortable when he stated that he should know if I wanted to sign up with him so I don't "Waste his time." A little bit unprofessional and his managers are the ones who offered the free personal training sessions so I don't understand how using those free sessions "waste his time" in any way 😭 im sure he's one of the best there! I just thought his approach was a little unprofessional and demeaning. Love this location above all others tho!

In college, I'm going to miss this gym so much. I've spent so much time doing work in the work area and just playing around on the roof. The roof is awesome with a view of John Wayne Airport and plenty of toys. The smoothies are 1000% worth the $15. Thank you, Equinox, for making my high school years so much easier. (Also, this isn't my real name lol.) I don't know why this gym is 3.6 stars, probably just a bunch of brokies...

Been a member of this location on and off since 2010. This place originally belonged to the Sports Club/LA before they turn it into
Equinox. The majority of all the old members of the Sports Club/LA left due to the different crowds of people Equinox has brought in. We called it the 24 hour fitness crowd. It's quite true. A lot of things has certainly changed drastically after it became what it is today. I would say 50% of things happening here are good and bad. Behind the closed doors things are not always what they seem for a 5 star upscale gym.
A lot of members including myself had have our personal belongings stolen from us from time to time. It’s truly sad that it happens in this type of upscale gym. I've had a issue years ago of someone stealing by $300 cycling bib shorts after I went to take a shower after a extremely exhausting spin class. That's pretty disgusting on who ever stole a pair of stinky worn shorts belonging to someone else. Others have their underwear stolen directly from their lockers while they simply walked away to get something. It's creepy as hell. We never had this problem when the Sport Club/LA was around. Seem like all of the bad things that has happened to this beautiful gym is by members who were previously members of 24 hour fitness.
Other than the negative things, Equinox has always remained a nice gym to go to when you're looking for one of the most exclusive upscale gym other companies don't have.

This is a really great facility with possibly the best lap pool in orange county. That being said, the pool is not as nice as it could be because the club management simply cannot seem to get onboard with requiring swimwear while using the cold plunges and swimming pool. So, if you want to workout at a place where you swim laps with guys in their white undies or cold plunge with people you don't know wearing nothing under their towels or boxers, this is the gym for you. (P.S. I've emailed / talked to mgmt multiple times about this issue and other members have as well. They always respond nicely but nothing changes. They do not actually care).

Your club for gym bros in Gold Gym’s singlets, bros whose pockets are too deep for girls to see them for themselves, and boys that build and abandon towel nests in the sauna/steam rooms.
The club itself has most of the equipment though it lacks any recent equipment technologies. Usually not crowded but you will normally come across people recording themselves on the floor along with you.
Locker room is constantly out of clean towels (probably because of those building nests) and eucalyptus sprays always empty. Steam room is full of trip hazards waiting for a lawsuit. The facilities themselves are not the worst, but the patrons are.

I am writing to express my severe disappointment and frustration with the recent experiences I have had at the Equinox Club Orange County. As a long-standing member since 2021, it is with great regret that I must consider the termination of my membership due to the consistently unsatisfactory service I have encountered.
My most recent visit was marred by a series of unacceptable occurrences that have left me deeply dissatisfied. In particular, I encountered significant difficulty when attempting to open my locker. The staff member who was assisting me displayed impatience and aggression when I sought assistance, which was entirely unwarranted given the situation. As a paying member, I did not expect to endure such treatment, especially considering the premium fees of $355 per month.
Furthermore, upon finally gaining access to my locker, I discovered that my laundry bag was missing. Despite waiting for over 30 minutes and seeking assistance from the staff, my clothing remained unaccounted for. This is not the first instance of such negligence, as similar incidents have occurred multiple times in the past. The disrespectful attitude and lack of urgency displayed by the staff during this distressing situation have caused me to lose faith in the quality of service provided by the Equinox Club.
It is with great disappointment that I have reached the conclusion that I can no longer tolerate such substandard experiences. The recurring issues and the disrespectful behavior of the staff have eroded my confidence in the club.

Unfortunately, the quality of this club seems to keep going down. The steam room was clearly turned off before 10 PM on a weekday and the staff didn’t seem to be bothered by it and there was no sign or notice about it either
At least 10 people tried to come in and use it and no one seem to care
I went to, and there was a huge cockroach inside. Not exaggerating, the size of my palm.

All the other reviews are accurate. This club will transport you back to the 90s. Everything is old and outdated. Locker rooms are trashed with broken lockers and dirty steam room and sauna that smell horrible with plastic cups and towels thrown everywhere. They have the saddest most depressing cafeteria that’s never open. For paying almost $300 a month it’s a huge scam. Better off going to Huntington Beach or getting on the waitlist for lifetime. I will not be back until the entire facility has been gutted and renovated.

When my wife tried to cancel our service with the front desk employees, they assured her that everything was taken care of and our service had been canceled. However, we continued to be charged monthly. Upon calling them to inquire about the charges, the assistant manager, Jenna , informed us that we needed to cancel through the links that were supposedly sent to us that we can’t reimburse you back the Money. The employees never mentioned anything about a link before, making it seem like a scam. We have been loyal customers for many years, and this lack of transparency and accountability is highly disappointing.

I’m a loyal equinox member. I have their merch and go to branches around the US, from NY to Florida and multiple ones in California. By far, sadly, the Equinox Sports Club Orange County is the most disappointing one I’ve been to.
In short, it does absolutely not meet equinox’s standards and price tag.
The building is old and run down with broken lockers and old looking restaurant that looks like a school cafeteria.
It’s amazing how big the facility is. They have tennis courts, a beautiful pool and more. But sadly it feels run down as if they’re planning to close the location. The steam and jacuzzi seem to break frequently and take days to be repaired.
Showers always look dirty, bring flip flops if you come. Maybe your own shampoo too as most of the time they’re empty.
Overall, i love the location and how big it is, but unfortunately does not meet the Equinox standards i’m used to.

The worst gym I’ve been member at! This was supposed to be a nice gym but in 1 year I’ve been here they didn’t broken equipments, few are not even leveled to be used and even small things like things in the bathroom that has been broken and reported but the manager has done nothing about it. The pool is not heated at all and even the jacuzzi that was the only thing nice the pumps are not working well anymore. As a member they should take action on those things. The only restaurant inside is empty and not clean at all. Who thought about putting a bar with lots of alcohol in a gym?! Awful service and equipment. I spent 1 year as a member and I will be back only if they remodel the whole gym!

10/10 trainers, 10/10 community. All of the service team (the smoothie/food bar and retail) are wonderfu. I really love this gym and the amenties, completely worth the cost. However, I unfortunately did not have a great experience with management. When being signed on, I made an agreement with the person who signed me on about transferring my membership when i'm home for holiday and summer (college student). Rating this place two stars because I’ve had a great experience with the trainers and yoga classes, but an overall negative experience with everything else. I honestly didn’t think I’d have any issues cancelling like my friend did, but it seems to be a pattern of this gym not honoring agreement(s). I had this whole chat with one of the sales reps confirming my membership agreement and I received a shady response when I had reached out asking why I had been charged past the date we had agreed on. I was thinking of revisiting my membership when my new company benefits kick in, but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be returning or recommending sports club to any of my friends. I also reached out via email a week ago re: my membership and haven’t received a response

this place is a total scam. for $200 a month I'm incredibly disappointed. The pool is not great and not heated, the machines are old and there aren't many of them, and the staff is rude or just nowhere to be found. the trainers are pretty good, but I'd rather work with them literally anywhere else. also, I was promised if I moved away from the facilities I could cancel my membership at any time. I'm moving to the Midwest after getting laid off and they are refusing to cancel my membership. Truly shady. The place is also not very clean and the "spa" seems to always be closed when I go. Considering how much they charge for a membership, I would expect it to be better. There is a lot of issues that they either don’t fix or fix poorly.
Most of my complaints have to do with the men’s locker room where the showers, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room are.
It almost always looks like this in the evening:
- You’ll see dirty towels, plastic cups, and razors on the floors around the showers and jacuzzi area.
- Jacuzzi is usually foamy, cloudy, low on water and smells like musty feet.
- Showers are usually low on soap, bottles are nasty, there’s pubes all over and there’s usually at least one broken shower but sometimes more.
- No clean towels.
- Shower tiles are moldy/rusty look like they’ve never been cleaned.
- All the boards in the sauna look like they’ve been soaking in sweat for the last 10 years.
As far as equipment goes, I haven’t seen any issues with the stuff inside. The rooftop needs some help though. The track, turf and most equipment looks pretty bad I don’t think they’ve ever updated or replaced anything up there and generally nothing is put away.
They love to close for multiple days or close super early on and around holidays, you know, the times when you actually have the time off to come here? If there’s a holiday on a Friday they’ll close for the entire weekend.
The last complaint is a silly one, I don’t know why they can’t get this right. The water and ice machines are always broken and they’ve replaced them multiple times with ones that look even more used and they don’t work well.
Overall you can tell they fix things really cheaply and poorly and don’t renovate when things get nasty. The sad part is it’s still the best club around so we all just accept the mediocrity.

I have been a member there for over 10 years and it's sad to say that their customer service and over all, the club and amenities are little by little getting less and less satisfying. The staff at the front desk are literally clueless of what is happening. If there's an issue, they say please leave your number and we'll get back to you or a manager will get back to you and no-one will call back. It has happened to me a few times. Recently, I had a few issues to be discussed, and I kept getting pass around between concierge and assistant manager and it's taking seriously months and still nobody had help me out, no body wants to take accountability for the mistakes they made. And for a club that the membership fees are quite high, you'd expect a better customer service. If you are looking to become a member, please look around more and check out other clubs, I won't recommend this one

I’m sad to see all of the one star reviews but at the end of the day, everyone has a different experience.
For me, this place has become my escape and my mental safe haven. It’s expensive, but paying this price isn’t just about a gym, I’m paying for peace in an environment I feel welcomed at.
Everyone is so nice from the people at the front always saying hi and bye to me (aka acknowledging me) to the trainers that run the classes here. Shoutout to Ashley Moore’s energy bringing me to life. And I appreciate Katrina’s big smile that always makes me feel welcomed.
Maybe my perspective is different coming from smaller corporate gyms so this place looks and feels like Disneyland to me. But it’s clean, the locker rooms are relaxing, and the sauna/steam rooms are roomy.
If I had anything else to say, I’d say I wish the cafeteria was a little more inviting, maybe comfier chairs, but that’s a very external thing.
*Also—please bring back the ice bath, I was SO EXCITED and then one day it was gone and I was like nooooo.

I’ve been trying to cancel my membership here since August (it’s now mid January) and it’s been a hell of a process. They put a freeze on my account and charged me $150 for the months of January-March. I showed them a medical note and finally canceled my membership today but they won’t refund me the freeze fee for February and March, even though we’re in January! Never signing up with Equinox again.

Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill. I was a member here for 6 yrs. Referred at least 4 new members.
The new assistant manager is very incompetent in what she does. If this place asks for top dollars, they should provide top service. Which what used to be the case. personally know around 6 ppl cancelled their memberships and I was holding up until 2 days ago. I would not recommend this place whatsoever.
As far as equipment, definitely below average, old and nothing exceptional. The main thing this place used to sell is customer service which is not the case anymore. Will no be surprised if it shuts down with the amount of cancellations that have been going.

The fitness classes and proximity to my office are the only reason I come here. The equipment is honestly worse than some of the Planet Fitness & LA Fitness locations in the area. At 10x the price I would definitely expect machines that run smoothly and are up-to-date - (for example the leg curl & extension machines). Membership rates were recently raised, and I hope to see improvements, otherwise I am not sure what we are paying so much for...the reasoning for the increase in the notice all involved things like the spa, etc...things that we have to pay an additional fee to use anyway. This doesn't seem like something that should raise member prices, I hope some of the added revenue goes toward updating/new equipment.
The group fitness classes are awesome and I really enjoy some of the instructors, however, lately they have been over capacity. There is not enough room in certain 5:30 PM classes, and I feel like we are on top of each other. I think this is an issue due to members not signing up ahead of time, even though the instructors have mentioned it in class. People also show up late to class all the time.
I was looking forward to the cafe opening, however the food is a bit overpriced and I don't see many people eating there which makes me feel like it probably sits for a long time.
The cleaning staff is great, and the lockers were finally updated.

1 star very much appreciated the effort of the remaining cleaning crew here. I saw them working hard during our tour. 2 star for the apparent effort of the brand or Equinox for attempting to offer the best safety precautions & requiring coV2 vaccination. Aside from that everything was a turn off here. Our tour was about a yr ago, fair to mention. We were unhappy with our experience & ultimately never joined. Here’s why: My husband & I come from sales. We’re 36. Don’t bs us, he was smug, shmoozy, green, a put together. Nice nonetheless of course however, just sales-y. We are straightforward. Covid safety then were a must…this location didn’t seem to care. It actually sparked my upset bc of potential pregnancy status. I didn’t know yet. Call me a Karen but… Receptionists didn’t care to wear their masks at all during a mandate, me thinking maybe I was pregnant said something to them while checking in questioning why they weren’t wearing them while representing Equinox. They didn’t care to apologize or think to put masks on but rather defensively replied with “but those aren’t the rules though..” The representative we had been speaking with had his mask on but hanging below his nose within his enclosed office & didn’t seem to care until we did.. & I had to mention something to him to wear it correctly. My husband is a cardiac thoracic RN who had been working through the worst of covid times wearing full PPE. We clearly understood & respected the situation on behalf of ourselves & others. We were just hoping the same courtesy would be extended for us coming here. A few days later I tested positive and became extremely sick with covid, then my husband as well. I wouldn’t presume to know how I had contracted it however, it wasn’t comforting to have had this recent experience. Equinox’s ethics & Covid safety precautions were what drew us to inquire however, this location didn’t deliver. We were also surprised to observe that it’s very outdated in comparison to its sister Newport location, Lifetime, CorePower, f45, Rennassaince Club Sport, & even 24 hr fitness. It has what you’d probably need, but nothing special unless you’re an avid tennis, racquet, or basketball player. Personally we definitely did not see the value opposed to other fitness options nearby. I look back and remember how uncomfortable this experience was for us. However I did receive wonderful service at their other location in Newport & would consider their membership going forward.

I have been a member of this Irvine equinox (Sports club orange county) since 5 months ago.I'm an executive member and I pay $345 every month plus I paid another $500 as the intiation fee.
In September of 2022,I had my Rolex watch (worth around $25,000) stolen from my designated locker
(number 253).Somebody had actually and easily opened the locker and stolen my watch. When I asked around I learned that many other members had their stuff stolen from their lockers.I notified the management and asked them to help me.I also had a report filled by the city authorities. In the last two weeks no one from equinox has called me.Obviously they don't care. There are cameras that show who entered and who left the executive locker room.No update has been given to me and no one from equinox has called me.I kept my membership and I paid another $352 just yesterday but I don't feel safe to go back to equinox (Sports club orange county).
If this is something that you would like to happen to you it's your decision to become a member here but I don't recommend it.Also I have a massage for the management : feel free to call me so I don't feel that you absolutely don't care.

I was a member of Equinox but cancelled my membership before Covid. Equinox and all of Orange County needs to work much harder to consider being and having a premier fitness center. So much potential here.
Check out The Village in Chandler AZ. We need one here in OC. My company transferred me to AZ for a couple years and I joined this amazing gym. Their equipment, staff, amenities, cafe, spa are top notch. Equinox is not even in the same league as this fitness center. Check it out! Come on OC. Definitely room for some competition and people will pay for value. Equinox is not worth the money charged.

This Gym is like 100 years old. I told the guy if the vibe is cool it may not matter to me though so let me pay for a month to try it out. He said that's not what we do, which I understand. I'll pay a premium for most things but not a gym that is falling apart.
Response to your generic response: I'm assuming that either there isn't a leader that cares anymore in the company. Which explains the general poor condition of the facility and lack of a tenant in the food court. I get covids hard which is probably your excuse for an empty food court but if this was was one of my properties I would have found a creative solution (i.e. juice bar, cater in, partner with local restaurant, partner with supplement vendor and at least mix protein shakes). Or, you scraped cash flow and never set aside reserves to maintain the facility to kep it on par with the membership fee and now your just riding the slowly deteriorating ship.

Very friendly environment from the front desk & managers, to the valet, to the members! I feel like I'm part of a community that truly cares about my well-being & how I'm doing on a personal level. Further, I always feel at home here & I can't say all the Kiehls beauty products in the locker rooms doesn't help with that.
In regard to the actually working out part of going to the gym, there's always plenty of open equipment; I've never waited for a machine. Fitness instructors are always evolving as the class regulars grow stronger.
Room for improvement however. If the equinox managers are reading this: (1) the ellipticals on the 3rd floor are unnecessarily too close together. 2 of the roughly 8 regular elliptical have faulty buttons that rarely allow you to adjust the difficulty level. Furthermore, there's rarely ever more than 3 people using those ellipticals at one time anyways. Thus, get rid of those 2 old ellipticals that don't work & space the remaining ellipticals out. (2) add another Norma Pilates class that people who have day jobs can actually go to! I understand that despite the Monday & Friday 10am pilates schedule, at time which the majority of the population is working, always ends up full. However, if Norma has the time, I'd bet adding another class either in the evening or on a weekend, would please a lot of other people that haven't been able to attend. In other words, I'm sure adding a 3rd Norma class would be easily filled. (3) Last, I know you've all been busy & you've been doing a great job. But, please, please, please open the cafeteria soon; or at least a smoothie bar. Spring is quickly approaching & my favorite place to get work done is after my workout, at equinox, lounging by the pool! Sounds relaxing right? It totally would be if my stomach wasn't ferociously growling!! A solution you may pose is to simply order door dash. However, door dash takes an 1+ hour to deliver a trivial item & often forgets at least 1 thing from my order. Further, last spring, I upgraded to monthly Dash pass b/c I found myself ordering so often & typically ONLY at the gym. So, it sort of just felt like a waste of money to spend all this time to burn calories at a place leaving me starving & spending all this money to eat more calories AT THE SAME PLACE. I hope you can see where I'm coming from here.
In closing, dear reader, a smoothie bar would be a simple thing to bring back, would hopefully only require you to (a) open a small part of the cafeteria, & (b) to hire very few people. .... Additionally, almost all the luxury gyms have smoothie bars are something analogous. Therefore, it'd be in Equinox's best interest to continue competing w/ these other luxury gyms in the area by putting just a few extra time & resources into opening this smoothie bar! Thanks for reading & Happy New Year!

This is a gorgeous club, by far the best Equinox I've been to in California, and Aaron Mateski was the highlight for me. I did three weeks of personal training sessions with Aaron a few times a week. I've lost 5lbs. and counting since I started.
Aaron is the ideal trainer. He pushes you while acknowledging your limits and physical constraints. We started with a body scan and a nutrition log, which he checked regularly to give me feedback. Our sessions were tough but progressive, getting a bit harder every time. And we worked in basketball to make it fun :) Aaron's a Oregon high school state champion point guard so that helps a lot
Aaron also taught me a lot about nutrition and exercise science and helped clear out some unproductive beliefs holding me back. His thoughtful mobility and stretching exercises have also made a big difference on the basketball court, in the gym, and post-gym recovery.
The best part of my time with Aaron and this club was building the habit to take fitness seriously, put in the work for my body every day, but remembering to have fun with it.
I highly recommend this club. And if you can do it, work 1-on-1 with Aaron to attack your goals

3 star clean and not worth the price they have chlorine in there 1/2 size Olympic size pool. I was sold on the salt water pool they don't have any more. I smell airplane jet fuel on roof top. This gym needs improvement all around. Staff are always friendly. That's what I appreciate. Lots of manners with other gym clients. I think there not keeping up the gym value. Just increasing price monthly. And getting less value. The close really early too. I don't see how they can stay in business. Doesn't calculate. I pulled out of my membership. Didn't enjoy what I was looking for.

The actual gym is pretty nice, and the staff on site is very friendly, although some of the equipment is a little outdated for such a pricey place... but, I'd cut them some slack on that since they probably haven't had much revenue over the past year due to covid, and the cold eucalyptus towels make up for it.
I would give them 5 stars, except they are horrible when it comes time to cancel your membership. I attended the gym one time as a guest of a member, and then signed up. I was told by the sales guy that it was month-to-month, and I could cancel at anytime. I had to suddenly move away for work a week later (to a state that doesn't have any equinoxes) and never actually attended this gym one time as a member. I called to cancel, and the lady on the phone said no problem, she would cancel it. I noticed they were still charging me ($250/month on top of the $285 they charged me initially), so I emailed them about it, and was then told by some lady in New York that memberships require a 12 month commitment (first time I was told that), and that I wasn't able to cancel. I tried escalating it and was told by somebody else that I needed to send him proof that I had moved away, including my new home address.
Still fighting them over it. I move a lot for work and always sign up to the nicest gym in the area, but I will be boycotting this place, as this business practice of trying to fleece members on their way out is a deal breaker for me.
Shame, because it is a nice gym (I was a member there for years when it was a Sports Club). Lifetime fitness on the other hand was very easy to deal with last time I had to cancel, and even refunded me a pro-rated amount of the dues I had just paid them at the time.

im rating this so low because my experience has been not what i thought it would be from my first day joining there. I only still attend due to me being stuck having to pay for a 12 month period before I can cancel. I was never informed of this when signing up and felt taking advantage of after asking to cancel and then told I was unable to. the gym is old doesn't feel as clean and new as I think it should for the price. the only perk is maybe working out on the roof on a sunny day.
I go to the gym 6 days a week and mostly use 24 hour as I feel they have exceeded my needs far more than this place. I don't mind paying for quality that's how I live my life this place is over rated.
