Equinox is a fabulous gym/fitness center, but the real gem is the personal training that I have had over the last year. I cannot say enough about what an extraordinary trainer Marlena Radich is. Her expertise, attention to detail, and genuine partnership have been game changing for me. She has an exceptional ability to tailor each session to my goals, catching every nuance in form and progression, and guiding me in a way that is both motivating and confidence building. Thanks to her thoughtful programming and support, I’ve made measurable gains in strength and have significantly improved my body composition - results that have been out of reach before working with her despite considerable hours of working out. I’m incredibly grateful for her knowledge, professionalism, and the positive energy she brings to every session. She is truly outstanding, and I recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone serious about improving their fitness.

Joining this Equinox was one of the best decisions I've made!
I've been training with Emily Dean for years now and couldn't be happier. Emily is the best! She knows her stuff, you can totally rely on her expertise. She is kind, funny, warm and easy to work with. She pushes me to get the work done and creates sessions that are fun but demanding. She is my motivation and inspiration. Couldn't ask for more ... thank you, Emily!

I have been working with Emily Dean since the Studio City gym opened. She has changed my body! She is patient, attentive to any physical issue and finds a way to work around them, and she challenges me. Outstanding trainer! Great human!

Great gym and facilities. I train with Paul Turner, who is the absolute best! No two workouts are the same. He continually challenges me and makes the workouts fun. Paul always makes sure you are using correct form to prevent injuries. He is the best trainer on the floor, hands down.

This is by far the worse Equinox in SoCal. The front employees are rude. The clientele is horrible. The locker room is always dirty. Lockers always have used razors in them, soap containers overflowing, and today there was gum stuck on thr wall. The place is littered with towels. People are always on their phones.

I've been going to this location since it opened. Facility wise there is definitely room for improvement (ie. the treadmill features are always having issues). But the locker room, and reception staff are lovely.
But what really makes this place worth it, is working with a trainer. Paul Turner has been my trainer for about a year and a half, 3x a week. In that time I've lost about 35 lbs and gotten to my healthiest levels in all my adult life, which as a women with PCOS is next to impossible. What makes him a great trainer is that you can tell he is catering workouts to your specific goals, abilities, and likes. For example, I am an ex soccer player and surfer, and my main goals were to loose weight, and improve my overall fitness level so that I could surf better. He'll incorporate fun and super challenging workouts for balance or soccer drills for endurance along with weightlifting. If you've ever played sports, you'll appreciate that he trains you like a true coach, and the workouts are always challenging. You never leave a session feeling like you could have done that on your own. That being said he was super patient and encouraging as I got back into working out. Highly recommend working with him, you won't regret it!!

I cannot recommend Marlena Radic enough. After a decade away from the gym, stepping back into fitness felt overwhelming, but Marlena crafted a program that was not only expertly tailored to my starting point but also genuinely inspiring.
She took the time to understand my long hiatus and focused on building a foundational strength and movement patterns before diving into more intense work. This thoughtful, progressive approach was the key to my success. In just two months, I have lost 10 pounds and, crucially, built noticeable muscle—something I haven't been able to achieve on my own.
Marlena is professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and brings infectious energy to every session. She knows exactly when to push you safely and when to celebrate the small victories. If you are looking for a trainer who can help you make a dramatic, sustainable return to fitness, Marlena Radic is the absolute best choice at Equinox. She’s truly an investment in your health.

I haven’t worked with the other trainers at Equinox, but from simply observing the floor and comparing approaches, I genuinely think Paul Turner is in a league of his own. He takes the time to understand you, your goals, your lifestyle, your schedule, and what motivates you, and he invests in your full fitness journey, not just the hour you’re in the gym.
What I’ve appreciated most is that he looks at the complete picture: nutrition, macros, recovery days, nontraining days, habits, and real life constraints. He’s data driven, incredibly thoughtful in how he programs workouts, and he holds you accountable in a way that’s motivating, not overwhelming.
If you’re someone who truly wants results and wants a trainer who is dedicated, structured, and pushes you in the best way possible, Paul is by far the best trainer at Equinox and the best I’ve ever worked with. Highly recommended.

Equinox Studio City is a genuinely great gym—clean, bright, and filled with a respectful crowd that actually shares equipment and helps each other out when needed. My only note is that they could definitely use more small free weights, since those are often in use. Otherwise, it’s a fantastic place to train. And speaking of training: I can’t imagine a more competent or motivating trainer than Paul. As a truly top-tier trainer—and former professional athlete—he brings an elite level of expertise to every session. He takes everything he learned from playing pro sports and applies it to real life: how to stay mobile and strong in mid-life, how to avoid injury, and how to build a foundation of real, lasting health and wellness. With Paul, it’s never just about aesthetics (though the results definitely show); it’s about longevity, balance, and feeling your best. The sessions fly by because he makes them genuinely fun—and I say that as someone who doesn’t normally enjoy working out. His understanding of physiology is exceptional, and his depth of knowledge is exactly what you’d expect from a trainer operating at the highest level. He constantly varies the workouts so nothing ever feels repetitive, and he knows exactly how to push you in all the right ways. Paul is truly fantastic—next-level in every sense. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

I have been a member of Equinox for quite some time and have also worked with various personal trainers. I must say, one of the best is Marlena. She understands the nuances of form and works well with any injuries you might have. She is truly focused and knowledgeable about the female body, and will really transform your workout — I can't recommend her enough.

On the smaller side for a commercial gym, but I like the staff and it’s kept clean. If you go in the early morning, the parking and crowd isn’t as bad.
If you’re looking for a new personal trainer—I’ve worked with Paul Turner since April and highly recommend him if you’re serious about getting fit and pushing yourself. He’s straightforward, knowledgeable and makes sure you get the most out of your time with him. My overall form and confidence in the gym has grown a lot thanks to Paul. Whether you’re starting your fitness journey or looking to improve, he’s a dope guy to work with

This review is for PT ONLY! I’ve had a few training sessions with Mackenzie W., and she has truly made such a positive impact on my fitness journey. From day one, she helped me improve my form in a way that finally made everything “click,” and that alone has boosted my confidence so much.
She always knows how to push me to my potential without ever making me feel overwhelmed. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and supportive — the kind of trainer who meets you where you are and helps you grow from there.
One thing I appreciate most is that she’s always available to answer my questions, whether it’s about form, equipment, or workouts. She’s consistently kind, approachable, and genuinely happy to see me when I walk into the gym — and I feel the same way. It’s rare to meet someone who makes you feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to show up, but that’s exactly the type of person and trainer she is.
If you’re looking for someone who truly cares and brings out the best in you, I can’t recommend Mackenzie enough.

Joining Equinox has been a great experience so far, but the absolute best part has been working with my personal trainer, Max Nathan. Max is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in my progress. She takes the time to understand my goals, explains everything clearly, and pushes me in a way that feels both motivating and achievable. Shes also very friendly and funny, which makes going to the gym enjoyable for someone who was never into fitness before.

For almost two years I have been working with Sean (who is a Coach + status) and it has been transformative. The focus on form, avoiding injury, and always adjusting our workout strategy to work towards new goals has been the best experiences of my fitness journey.
Sean is kind, funny, helpful, and will always be available even outside of our booked sessions to provide tips, feedback, and suggestions.
So glad I journey Equinox and connected with Sean.
This gym has become like my second home. The staff does a great job keeping it stocked, clean, friendly, and well maintained. Parking validation is for 2.5 hours, and there is plenty of nearby street parking if you don't want to deal with the Sportsman Lodge parking. Plus lots of great spots nearby (and Erewhon bfast burritos or right downstairs).

Love this place! I’ve been a member for almost three years, and my personal trainer, Jay Arauz, is truly the best. Working with Jay has been an absolute game-changer for me. His attention to posture and form is unmatched he doesn’t just run you through a workout, he teaches you how to move correctly. When I first started, I had knee issues and occasional back discomfort. Jay immediately tailored adjustments that felt both safe and effective. A few months in, the difference was undeniable: my knees are stronger, my back feels supported, and I move with far more confidence.
On top of his technical skill, he’s genuinely fun to be around. Even on the days I walk in exhausted or mentally drained, he finds a way to lift my energy and keep me motivated. I always walk out feeling stronger, lighter, and proud of myself.
If you want a trainer who truly knows what he’s doing and makes the entire experience enjoyable, Jay is exceptional!

In my 23 years of being a member one of the best things I did was to purchase several training sessions. It was worth every penny because of my trainer Jay Arauz.

I love the Studio City Equinox. I work out 3 times a week with my personal trainer Jay Arauz. He is the best. I joined the gym after having spent 3 months hospitalized and then in rehabilitation from suddenly losing all my mobility (legs, arms, hands) from an autoimmune condition. Jay asks appropriate questions to help me reach my goals of gaining my strength, balance, health and fitness goals. I also have private Pilates classes once a week with Julia Nichole Lopez and she is the best too. I couldn’t ask for better trainers.
I have seen a great improvement in my strength and health ever since I joined Equinox and used personal trainers. I would definitely recommend signing up and if you need a great personal trainer, Jay is my go to, and for Pilates, Julia. I have no regrets in investing in my health.

Teeny tiny gym and a it’s get crowded no matter the time of day simply because it’s basically the size of a small private gym, only it’s commercial. Can’t take advantage of classes because I’m not allowed to book multiple of the same class per day (aka no two yoga classes) according to their app. Her CA law you have 30 days to cancel and it’s so hard to get a response from anyone about this. I’ve emailed over and over. It’s completely
Not worth joining any location in my opinion. The classes aren’t worth it and the schedule is super weird. Corporate decides the classes and how they’re run according to one trainer so it’s not been based on a specific teachers preferences. Or skills. 10/10 DO NOT recommend… also parking is a NIGHTMARE

I was a past member of the Encino and Glendale Equinox prior to 2020. Thought I would give them another try. The Studio City location is asking for $325 a month with a cancellation policy nobody can reasonably do without first (a) first moving to a part of the country that you can't reasonably drive to a Equinox location or (b) being sick enough to have a Doctor write a letter. Complete nonsense and over the top disgraceful. And I'm sure their agreement is full of vague and ambiguous legalize no reasonable person can understand or have the patience to read. I think cancelling with these guys is a nightmare. They don't advertise their prices online and then quote you for all gym membership (country-wide) when you're only interested in the local gyms. A quick AI search told me some members are paying around $200 a month which I would consider more reasonable. I believe this location has been open over for about a year. The Glendale and Encino locations have been open for many more years hence the discount???? Give me a break! From my experience, some of the reviews are pretty damn accurate. Common complaints are "small gym", "overcrowding", and "horrible parking". Seems honest because my own experience trying to get to Erewhon market (next door to Studio City Equinox) was a parking nightmare. After parking, I was barely able to squeeze out of my car. One reason I never went back. If you factor the drive to the gym, the one thing you don't want to deal with is horrible parking or rude staff. Taking into consideration my experience over the years and what other gyms have to offer, this place shouldn't cost more than $180-$200 a month. $325 is outrageous and targeting the ill-informed. Hence, the lack of information on their website. There needs to be a balance between what they have to offer and what the competitors are doing. I couldn't fine one reason to justify the high price. Be smart about your money people.

I almost never write negative reviews. In fact, if you look at my history, I go out of my way to praise companies that deserve recognition because I know how damaging even a few negative reviews can be. But what happened to me at Equinox in Studio City was so humiliating and unprofessional that I can’t stay quiet.
This is the very club where I originally signed up for my all-access membership, through a representative named Cheyenne who has always been kind and respectful. For years, I considered this location my home club. But without warning, management suddenly reclassified the Studio City location as “special access.” They didn’t improve the facility, they didn’t expand the space, they didn’t add parking; they simply made it harder for long-standing members like me to walk through the door.
I have been an Equinox member for 15 years, and yet when I showed up, the woman who claimed to be the manager named Marissa , spoke to me as though I were a stranger off the street. She even pulled me aside and told me she needed to “deal with real members.” Those were her exact words. Imagine the humiliation of being treated that way after giving an organization thousands upon thousands of dollars and years of loyalty.
What she didn’t realize is that I know executive directors at Equinox. I am also the founder of SHRED, the largest gym fitness app in the world. But none of that mattered in the moment—I was spoken down to, dismissed, and refused entry, even after I explained I had just driven 30 minutes to get to the club before a scheduled haircut.
It left me standing there, embarrassed, like my years of commitment to the brand counted for nothing. The irony is that the club itself is basic by Equinox standards. It’s chronically overcrowded, the parking is a mess, and instead of managing membership responsibly, they’ve chosen to jack up prices to push out long-standing members who don’t want to pay more for less.
This wasn’t just bad customer service. It was demeaning. It was the kind of treatment that makes you feel invisible, disposable, and insulted all at once. I will be following up directly with the executive team in New York City, but I felt it important to share my experience publicly as well. Long-time, loyal members deserve better than this kind of arrogance.

I dont like to leave bad reviews unless it is really bad. Save your money and time, skip this gym location at least! The staff here are just jerks, the front desk girls are rude like high school girl, I came in looking to switch my club, the front desk were condescending with smirks on their faces when talking to me and rude...I wanted to speak with a manager and they literally refused to get me the manager, they said they "are not going to" **I WANT TO STRESS THIS**...I was extremely nice, polite and respectful the whole time, I even left very politely...I went out and called and asked for the manager, thinking I would be speaking to a professional and a normal human, his name was Azim, he was a total jerk, very cocky, disrespectful and a useless "manager". I was asking to use the gym just for a quick hour to see how the environment, equipment, experience is, he wanted to charge me and like a programmed robot he didnt know anything else. I am a manager and a professional myself. For customer service and new client I CAN make exception to almost any rule or "policy", as long as there is a business reason. He kept saying it's a policy, which is BS I was at Beverly Hills for work, I went to that location and the front desk was very nice, polite and cool people and they made an acception ONE time and they let me pass and use the gym! This guy was very condescending also, seems like that's the theme at this branch, the attitude of the management rubs off on the staff. I am very offended and I will be canceling my Equinox membership because of THIS manager, THIS club and THIS experience...I am a man of principle! I will also be canceling my wife's membership.

I’ve been with Equinox for the past 10 years and have trained at almost all their locations across California. The energy and atmosphere at Equinox Studio City really stand out. There’s something about this location that just feels elevated from the people to the vibe. It’s got a great community of high energy, positive people, and the staff is always professional, friendly, and helpful. The gym is clean, well maintained, and delivers top-tier workouts every time. One of the perks is having Erewhon Market right downstairs you can finish a great workout and head down for a fresh shake or healthy meal. It does get a little crowded at times, especially during peak hours, so I recommend coming in the evenings for a more relaxed experience. Overall, this is one of the best Equinox locations I’ve trained at. Highly recommend!

Gym is fine but the trainers don’t know how to correct people’s form. I see lots of terrible lifting forms when they train people which can result in injury. Trainers need to be trained on form and posture. Also LOTS of ego lifters here which causes the entire gym floor to feel like an earthquake. If people are gonna do that, go to an actual power lifting gym. Nobody says anything and it causes a disturbance

I visit multiple locations, but Studio City is my go-to since it's closest to home. It’s one of the nicer locations, though on the smaller side. However, the steam room is one of the largest, which is great.
I appreciate that they recently extended the opening hours slightly, but I’d love to see them go even further, especially on weekends. Longer hours would make a big difference.
One frustration, though, is that despite employees always being present on the gym floor, the weight plates are frequently left on the machines. It’d greatly enhance the workout environment if staff prioritized keeping the equipment clear and ready for use.
The machine selection could also be better. For example, a lateral raise machine would be a great addition. It would also be great if Equinox explored incorporating more unique, innovative equipment, such as machines from Prime Fitness.
Overall, it’s a solid location, but with a few adjustments, it could be even better.

I’ve been extremely disappointed with my experience at Equinox. The clubs are always overcrowded, making it difficult to use the facilities, and the locker rooms are consistently dirty with towels everywhere. On top of that, it’s uncomfortable to see people walking around nude in shared spaces, which makes the overall atmosphere feel unprofessional.
For a premium price, I expected far better service, cleanliness, and respect for privacy. I regret signing up and will not be renewing my membership. I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable workout environment.

This gym is the biggest scam/ joke of all time. First of all, good luck finding a parking space in their disaster of a parking lot. Also, you only get 90 minutes free and then it costs a fortune (trust me, you'll need that 90 minutes to get anything done at this disaster of a gym.)
The gym itself looks nice but the design is ridiculous, the entire bottom floor is just wasted space and a retail store where they sell their overpriced junk.
Then you go upstairs to the gym itself which is also poorly designed with tons of wasted space. There aren't enough machines for the amount of members that they’ve allowed to join, which leads me to my next issue....
They need/needed to cap the amount of members they signed up because this place is always a madhouse and you're always waiting around for everything. Plus, people don't come here to work out and leave. It's become a social club where people just walk around and socialize instead of working out.
People constantly filming themselves and (unavailability, others in the background) is extremely uncomfortable. They should implement a rule that you aren't allowed to film in the gym.
Dirty locker rooms, as others have mentioned, it's not uncommon to find disgusting things in the locker room.
Bottom Line: Do yourself a favor and don't sign un for a Year of misery.

One of my friend is a member and he invited me today to this Equinox in Studio City. The gym doesn't have enough machines as any other regular gym, is very small. I couldn't try any of the classes but looks like people come here for the classes, others to socialize. $300 a month and the woman's bathroom is very dirty, I came out of the sauna I jumped to the shower and it was full of hair all over the wall and the floor!! Disgusting!! I spoke with a very nice and friendly lady Lorena she was the only one in there. It should be someone else cleaning the showers and bathrooms since is weekend and more crowded. Nothing special about this location. Parking could be shipped headache, is in the middle of the village and restaurants, stores and the market makes more difficult to find spot. I was so excited about this place, so is a big NO for me. I should try another location.

The gym itself, the amenities and classes are nice. All of that is overshadowed however by the parking which is complete chaos. Does parking validation really count as a perk if you can’t find a parking spot to park in?
Also have encountered entitled members on multiple occasions that show up to classes late, either disrupting others or demanding that they be able to squeeze into a full class. Respect the class booking rules and don’t be disruptive if you show up to class late. Group fitness is a group activity.

Mr. Charlie is probably the best thing about this location. Whenever I come in I know I’ll be greeted by, at least, one friendly person and I genuinely appreciate that as a New Yorker. Most of the other folks here are typical phony LA types, but I very much appreciate Mr. Charlie’s genuine friendliness and courtesy.
As a former gym GM, it’s overrated. Some of the equipment hasn’t been inspected in a while. When I was there, a cleaning station had not been refilled with wipes for over two hours. The members are generally rude and entitled. The atmosphere is super pretentious. The arc trainers are garbage. I like the luxury locker rooms and the sauna is really helpful. There are a lot of classes, which fuels the inflated monthly fee. The staff is generally friendly, but for what you’re paying they better be smiling all the time and ready to help! I pretty much just do my own routine and stick to myself. Hopefully, i’ll take advantage of the yoga classes soon, which i really need. Yeah, overrated. Basically, you’re trading one type of group for another.

The gym works until 10pm but salespeople (those who can show you around and sell a membership) work until 6pm. I came there around 7pm when all sales stuff left and couldn’t even check everything out. They said it was against their policy.
Guys, if your membership costs $300+, your salespeople MUST be there until last minute of gym’ working hours

Decided to check this spot out, but it didn’t really hit the mark. Parking is a hassle, especially during peak hours...makes you think twice about coming back. The gym’s got a sleek interior and top-notch machines, but it feels cramped. Low ceilings, no windows, and zero natural light give it a boxed-in feeling. On the bright side, they do hook you up with towels, which is cool. But for the price they’re asking? Nah, not worth it.

I’ve been really enjoying this location so far! The staff has been very welcoming, friendly, and attentive to all my needs and questions. The actual gym area is on the smaller side but it has everything I need and I never need to wait for the stair master machines (there’s like 6 or 7 of them). Literally the only gym I’ve been to where I feel comfortable using the shower which is pristine. The group classes do fill up but they’re accessible and have options every day. Bonus points for the rooftop outdoor lounge! Only downside is busy/crowded parking, but early in the mornings I never have a problem.

My first review of this new gym wasn't great, but a year into being open, they've definitely improved. After a few attempts at over-modernizing the bathroom faucets, they have all now been replaced with standard 'normal' ones, that don't have the same issues that plagued the gym in the opening months. Thank you!
Parking has gotten a little better, and the times I've come, I've at least found a spot within 5 minutes now.
But one thing that is hit or miss still, is the messiness of the locker room. Some days you'll go in, and there will be 8 towels on the floor, and the bathroom attendant will be on his phone or talking to someone, and not wanting to clean up. But also, if members can spend this much money to go here, why can't they all just put their towel in the bin themselves?
I'm updating my review with another star. Thank you equinox for improving this location.
Original review:
Definitely not my favorite location, but not bad either. But for a brand new gym, not sure that's the kind of first-impression review you want to hear. It's small, feels like it was built on a budget compared to other locations, and Lord help you if you try to park in the lot when it's busy.. The floors are often needing vacuuming, the bathroom sinks are different from any other Equinox location in the world and can be confusing with it being automatic, but also not automatic. (Not sure if they are ADA compliant?) So sometimes you'll walk into the bathroom and the water will just be running forever with no stop, while California is in a drought. One of the drinking fountains on the small gym floor is usually not cold. Haven't tried the classes yet. Staff is friendly enough. No Earthbar in this location for shakes or acai bowls btw. No pool or jacuzzi. Feels like Equinox really dropped the ball on this location because of budget cuts during covid. If you come to visit, you'll unfortunately agree.

I think that people leaving bad reviews are just LA stuck up entitled people. They need to chill. All the instructors are great and it’s always clean. I’ve never taken a bad class and I go everyday if not twice a day. Of course it’s busy, it’s at a sick new hip bougie complex. I saw a bad review about Grace but trust me she is great. When I had a knee injury, she made sure I was taken care of.

This is my go to equinox. The trainers here are unbelievable as well as the classes. The classes are so good that they get filled pretty quickly so I would recommend being on top of your game when you’re trying to book a class. The best part is that it’s located right next to an Erewhon.

I LOVE the classes (ahem Elle and Maya), the front desk people are friendly (I wish I knew their names), and the steam room (when it is working) is fabulous! Love the Kiehl's products in the showers. The gym overall is pretty small, and the classes can be hard to get into if you do not book right when the 24 hour window opens. I wish they had a powerplate on the floor and a jacuzzi and cold plunge in the locker room, but alas, there is just simply no room. The parking lot is THE WORST. Come after 9am and you are fighting for your life lol. Negatives aside, I am overall very happy.

While it's new (the aestetics are nice), it's probably one of the worse Equinox locations I've been to. The clientele is rude. People are on their phones both in the locker rooms and in the steam room. People place cold towels over the thermostat and the steam room becomes unbearable and then overheats and stops working. The employees do not enforce any of the rules that we are paying a premium for. You're lucky if you even get acknowledged at the door. Might as well go to 24 hour fitness. Also the parking lot is horrendous.

I’ve taken Pilates and yoga classes here. The person sitting outside the yoga classes is a little strange, but I assume they are there to ensure the classes that are always full aren’t taken by someone who didn’t sign up for them early enough. Aside from that and wishing they had more class offering since their classes are always booked far in advance, I love the place. Very clean.

The gym itself is a great location. Clean but small. Has everything I need. I like the group classes but some of the teachers are horrible. I've had a few experiences with big ego instructors, who complain and are annoyed during the class. It's so frustrating when you're just trying to workout and the instructor just keeps complaining. This has even happened in a yoga class. Also if you don't want to get frustrated maybe be more specific with level of difficulty. If you have a mix level class of course some people won't know what to do or are leaning on the instructors for help not the opposite. Do better.

I think this gym is just okay. Could offer a better value for the price they charge per month. They need to add more weightlifting equipment, more mirrors along the gym walls, better ambient lighting instead of the blinding white lights, and to offer later hours. They close pretty early and in the last half hour of operations they won't let you use the showers or sauna.

I go to several equinox locations and I was super excited to come to this one since it’s new.
Decent equipment but where they get the three stars is that they 100% water down their body wash, and shampoo and all other shower things. Again, I visit several locations like Glendale and Beverly Hills throughout the week and I’ve came to this one several times and they def water down the shower stuff because it’s so liquidy and just so different from the other locations I go to. The other locations have a thicker liquid and not water like.
I think the parking is fine, I like the design of the space itself and the plaza it’s in but I do find myself waiting more than I have to at the other locations. Not sure why but just an observation.

I have been to several SoCal locations and this is probably one of the WORST locations. The weight / cardio floor is cramped with poor design and way less equipment than other Equinox gyms. The treadmills are frequently all full. 1/2 the showers in the women’s locker room don’t get hot water just lukewarm. There’s also a couch lounge area wasting space when what is critically needed is more gym equipment. The black matt is the only place to do ab work since the class room is always booked and the matt is TINY. The parking lot design is just as bad as the gym. You can see reviews below.

I’m not sure why this location gets bad reviews. If you want a huge gym with a bunch of people looking at themselves in mirrors (there are some of those and it’s comical how many people are on their phones) and dropping weights so everyone knows how much they lifted, then it’s probably not for you. I do wish it had a juice bar and less office space, along with more equipment - many pieces there are just 1 (see: leg press machine) so you may have to wait a little bit but everyone is nice. I try not to go in at the craziest times but it’s hit or miss since I don’t have a set schedule and all of my visits have been positive. Even with the area of town, it doesn’t have a pretentious feel (I don’t feel like I have to wear full make up to work out. Nor do I want to). People are really nice, it’s been meticulously clean when I’ve been and I’m happy to splurge (as long as my experience stays positive) even if it doesn’t have a hot tub or pool (have you checked those out at some of the lower cost gyms? They’re disgusting and I wouldn’t get in them if you paid my membership fee and the treatment for the ring worm I’d end up getting). Is it on the pricey side? Yes. But not if you use it regularly (I go about 5 times a week and sometimes multiple times in a day because I live close)…the quality of the facility, ease of booking classes, along with the perks of the nice locker rooms with spacious clean showers including anything you need to get ready, great Kiehl’s products, the eucalyptus steam room, cold towels, validated parking and vibe are worth it.

MIXED FEELINGS . I joined the 1st day this gym opened. The perfect time for me is 5am as there are very few people. Wich means the place should be extremely clean and the gym should be ready for another full day. dust, hair, pieces of lint from the towels, benches do not looked like they were wiped down is not good. Either there is no night crew that comes and cleans or they need to do better. I came from a 24hr UFC GYm that was half the price and did not have this issue. It is also way to bright. What is up with lights facing the ceiling. Not needed. It's like Walmart in there. The machines are already bright white. Having a bike room, Yoga Room, Stretching room and a fitness class room seems like they could have combined one of those rooms and turned 1 into a kick boxing room. Major fitness in punching and kicking boxing bags.

The building is modern and beautiful, but it has a very disappointing layout. The entire bottom floor is devoted to check in, an awkwardly situated store, and large sales offices. You have to walk through all of that and then up a staircase to workout. When you get upstairs, there's a bunch of equipment in the middle of the floor, bad florescent lighting overhead and terrible music. The treadmills are shoved against the back wall rather than facing the natural light outside, but I guess they opted to use that space for a lounge area (sans a juice bar or any reason to want to hang out there). I joined mostly for the classes, but the the first studio is too large (and there was no one in it), the pilates studio is like a postage stamp, and the main studio is also small and was totally packed with people. It feels like the person who designed this space missed the point of what an upscale gym is supposed to provide. I really wanted to like it, but I walked in, looked around, and canceled my membership.

Great location and addition to the SoCal club circuit.
This takes me back to the feeling of 4 years ago. The energy was unreal. The classes packed. All classes available to all members. The layout is done right. Tons of lighting from inside as well as outside. Very modern and contemporary design. From the moment you open the front door. You get a sense of what Equinox offers. Same luxury amenities (lockers, showers etc. music was upbeat. People were excited to be at the club. No waiting for equipment as the members where friendly and worked in with or made room for you. The staff really made you feel at home. Greeted you with towels once again. And the cleaning staff on point. Not a speck of dirt would be present. There is a lounge section where you sit along with other working professionals. Parking 2.5 hours to the center with Eqx visit. Easy to get in and out of. And post workout are easily done with Erewhon downstairs For the finishing touches. Don’t just take my word for it. Go experience for yourself.

Finally!! This location is open. Love the open floor layout. It is fully staffed and trainers on the floor ready to get your 2023 summer body ready. The design is in line with the complex with wood oak tones and black trim. In terms of size, it is a smaller equinox but has a class room, spin room and Pilates room. Nice lounge area and adequate locker space.
The only negative comment I have is the lack of machines. One leg press 🙈 doesn’t seem like it will be enough during peak hours. Does look empty so not sure if there is more on its way. Maybe there was supply issues 🤷♂️.
Parking is 2 1/2 with validation. The first 1 1/2 hours is free which was already standard for this center. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT LOSE YOUR TICKET! YOU WILL GET CHARGED $39.
Anyways get your swoll on and don’t skip leg day. ✌️
