About the Club

Hello! My name is Matt, owner of Essential Strength and Wellness. I am a personal trainer, corrective and preventative exercise specialist, and a mobility specialist. My vision is to teach people about their own bodies and what they can do to implement self-practice into their lives to earn the lifestyles they wish for. As a coach I guide my clients through their process and since every person is different I individually tailor each experience to the client’s needs. No one session looks the same as I learn how I can best support each client through their goals. Whether it is weight loss, pain management, a balanced healthy lifestyle, strength and muscle gain my services are available to everyone. I look forward to working with you!

I’ve been having muscular pain for almost two years. I tried a number of different services including PT, chiropractors, massage, and acupuncture. Nothing quite worked. I’ve been seeing Matt for a few weeks now and I’m feeling much better. Matt is super knowledgeable. He explains everything very well and he works super hard to decrease my pain. I’ve had more pain relief from working with Matt for a few weeks than I did in the previous two years. Can’t recommend him enough.

Matt is a pleasure to work with. I came to him with the goal of increasing my general overall strength in hopes of reducing or eliminating my lower back pain. He's tailored a program to my abilities and monitored my successes and failures to keep me moving in the right direction. I’ve had pain in my knees the past two years, I couldn’t complete any leg workouts and could no longer run. Matt has taught me so much about what was causing the problem, has worked on it weekly and sent me home with knowledge to continue to heal. I’m back to running and hitting legs in the gym again! Matt has been great! We’ve been working together for a few weeks and it’s the best bodywork I’ve ever had. I’ve tried going to other people but there was never anything done that made me feel like I wanted to keep going/paying for it. After one session with Matt, I knew this was something I had to budget for. I have really tight hips and train legs 3 times a week and already, I’m noticing so much better glute engagement during my workouts. He also provides me with videos and stretches to do outside of our sessions which help me continue to make progress outside of our sessions
