Worst F45 Ive been to!!!! After visiting many F45 studios around the world, this location was unfortunately one of the least welcoming experiences I’ve had. The atmosphere felt unprofessional, uncomfortable, and far from the supportive community F45 is known for. The overall energy from both staff and members was surprisingly negative. I truly hope the studio takes steps to improve the culture and create a more inclusive environment for all members as this is NOT F45.

This review is long overdue 😂
I’ve been going to F45 for almost a year, and it’s genuinely been one of the best decisions for my health. My dietitian recommended it because it fits my body’s needs, and she was absolutely right.

I’m neurodivergent, and big traditional gyms are way too overstimulating for me. I’ve tried personal training in the past, but 1:1 sessions were overwhelming — too much pressure and too much focus on me. Being in a structured community environment works so much better for my brain. The small class ratios here give me support without the sensory overload.

I also love that every day is a different workout, so I never get bored or mentally check out. And the trainers? Truly incredible. They demo everything clearly (huge help because verbal instructions alone don’t always land for me), and they’re always kind about repeating things.

And can we talk about the turnover? There is none 😂
The same trainers are always here — in the best way possible. No revolving door energy. They’re passionate, they love what they do, and you can feel that they genuinely root for you. It creates a stable, welcoming environment that’s really rare in the fitness world.

I’m not someone who exercises for fun — I just want to be healthy and live long — and I’ve never once felt judged here. It’s safe, consistent, and motivating.

Definitely my go-to gym for as long as I’m in the area. Highly recommend! Gracias!

I highly recommend F45 Moraga! The HITT workouts are fast-paced, and the strength days really challenge you. The coaches are motivating, personable, and kind, and the team atmosphere pushes you to be your best! They keep things fun and fresh with theme days, bingo, and creative challenges. This gym appears to be listed on the Active & Fit Direct (A&FD) website, but in practice, it does not seem to honor the program. Despite paying in advance through A&FD, my membership was not recognized at the gym, and I was asked to pay a drop-in fee instead. I attempted to resolve the issue over 10 days with no success, and ultimately had to request a refund from A&FD.

Despite my sour experience, this review is not a reflection on the gym itself or its ability to help you achieve your fitness goals, but to help you save time and money if going through A&FD.

This is a great gym and community. It is class based, and the instructors/trainers are great. They make sure everyone is doing the exercises with good form and that they are not going to injure themselves. If people have known limitations, such as an old knee or back injury, they will offer modifications or alternate exercise to keep you safe and fully engaged in the workout. They also will give you that extra challenge/encouragement to push harder if they think you can handle it. I had tried CrossFit many years ago and stopped after getting injured a couple months in. I have never felt like I was risking injury at F45. It’s easier on my body than the repetitiveness of running. Every workout is different and the exercises are constantly changing. It keeps it fun, engaging, and challenging.

I have been going to F45 in Moraga for the past 3 years. I absolutely love it and it has changed my life in a very positive way. Being a local physical therapist, I often hear all the pros and cons of the surrounding group fitness options. F45 Moraga is consistently described as a great place by my patients. The owner Kristen, as well as the coaches that I have met, know what they are doing and have done a great job of creating a wonderful community. Give them a shot!

I've been a member of this gym for over a year now, and I have nothing but positive things to say! The facility is always clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The trainers (Whitney, Billy, Michelle, etc) are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They offer a variety of classes with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere—whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete, you'll feel comfortable here. My son enjoys the kid classes as well!

Overall, it’s a fantastic place to get fit and stay motivated. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to level up their fitness game!

Love love love F45. Started going in January. The workout is challenging, and fun. The coaches push you in the best way. Fun music, friendly people. They also offer nutritional challenges too I’ve lost 15 lbs of mostly fat, and am in the best shape of my life in my mid forties. Called 5 times on my way from Berkeley today because I knew I would be between 5-8 mins late to class. No one answered the phone until I had exited the freeway and was 10 mins away. I asked Whitney if I could attend despite being late, and was told I could not come to class. Will not be returning to this F45 again. Bummer, bc I love their workouts. Please open a gym in Berkeley!

I signed up to the trial while visiting a friend in Moraga and loved it! Whitney was the trainer I had the most and she was awesome. So welcoming and friendly, always making sure I was pushing myself. Together with Billy they brought the vibes and had great playlists to keep you motivated. I was there for a week and felt like I'd been part of the crew for ages. Couldn't recommend more! Such an awesome team!

This has been my #1 fav workout class of all time! It goes by fast, I don't get bored, I can easily modify, zero egos in the room, everyone is too busy hustling to be watching anyone else (so, relax, no one will be watching you). Billy is the gold standard for a coach. He's highly engaged, pays attention to ensure your form is correct, moves around the room to ensure everyone is getting what they need, helps you quickly modify, great energy, fun and funny.

TLDR: Fun classes, friendly community, zero ego environment, 5/5... go for it!

As a runner for many years, pounding the pavement finally caught up with my joints and I needed to make a change to my routine. I dreaded signing up for a regular gym because it's just never been for me and always been a waste of money.

I was really excited to discover F45 in my area as I simply don't have the time to design a wholistic workout routine, nor the motivation to stick to it on my own in a gym. If you can do that... bravo, but it ain't for me. Really all the thinking is taken out of it at F45, so your job is to just show up, do the work while listening to some loud music, fist bumps, and you're off to whatever else you got going.

If you're on the fence.. seriously give it a shot. There's a 2 week trial for a reasonable price, nothing to lose

I did the two-week trial in December and ended up signing up for the unlimited plan. So far, I feel so much better and am glad there are licensed trainers there to help with form, weights, guidance, etc. In just 2 weeks, I felt some immediate changes although I'm sure this will depend on each individual: I lost 5lbs (did not want to lose more than that), learned the different focuses they have Monday-Sunday, felt stronger. I love that I can also come during my lunch break and be back in less than an hour. The variety of workouts on a regular basis never gets boring.
Whitney, Kristen & Michelle are amazing trainers with a lot of experience. They can suggest lots of modifications based on your personal limitations and are never too pushy.

F45 is without a doubt the best fitness program I've ever been a part of. After 6 months of regular attendance I feel like a new person. If you show up here and do the work you will make massive functional fitness gains. You will be stronger and feel great in your body. Bending down will get easier, getting out of bed will get easier, you will have a bounce in your step and energy like you wouldn't believe!

And, F45 Moraga does all of this while creating a fun and engaging community. It really does feel like a big team of coaches and friends that root for you and push you towards your best self. The coaches are encouraging and always working on improving your form and asking you to give it your all. They are the best!

This studio is the absolute BEST. The atmosphere, the trainers and folks that workout there make this place all worth the 4:40 am wake up to get to the 5:30 am class! Everyone is so welcoming and you get a kickass sweat. I thought I was getting great workouts at the gym but it’s nothing compared to here. 10/10 recommend this place!!!!

I absolutely recommend F45 Moraga. They continually change the workouts up so you never complete the same workout twice! Absolutely more effective completing a 45 minute here than I spending 1.5 hours alone at the gym like I used to. The coaches are lovely, always on hand to fix your form and provide that motivation and push. Do you love group exercise? If you do, this is the place to be. Love, love F45 Moraga and the knowledgeable, kind and supportive staff. They genuinely want the best for you and your health. Each coach knows the names of the members, ensures that your form is spot on and they challenge you in a fun way. You can feel the positive energy in each class, which makes you want to push yourself.

If you’re new or have taken a long break from exercise, then you should try out F45. I restarted my fitness journey with F45 Moraga after being at my heaviest and have shed 20 pounds. I love F45! The trainers are fantastic! They are knowledgeable, motivating and fun. They have really helped me with proper and safe form. I love the “no mirrors”, easy signups with accountability and variety of workouts. I like that each day has the same workout all day so that I have the freedom to come at whichever time works best for me that day. There is everyone from college students and olympians to elderly fit and everyone and every fitness level in between. Easy parking, not too crowded, great music.
