She's very knowledgeable and super nice. She monitors the beginners to make sure they learn every detail without feeling pressure. The workout is really fantastic cardio exercise and the technique combos are great. I enjoy every session at Fight Forward.

I stumbled into this gym accidentally. I was looking for a full body fitness that involved punching something lol. I had contacted a few places around town and this location responded very quickly. Their attitude was super positive and upon hearing of a few of my injuries were very welcoming. I showed up to my first session and everyone was super nice and helpful. I immediately knew this place was cool. They offered alternate workouts for me so I wouldn't injure myself again. Their prices are very affordable, the place is well ventilated, well lit and clean. I'm a pretty big guy and had little issues with being cramped or felt like others there were invading my space. The trainer I've been working with is awesome! At the end of the day, I feel like I played instead of working out. The hours work well with my schedule and is located in a nice area. They're only open on weekdays which is great cause it gives me a chance to recuperate over the weekend. I do have one concern though. I usually show up when there are few people in the gym so I get a lot of time to work with the trainer. I think I may be disappointed if their were a lot of people in there. Otherwise, this is a cute gym packed with diverse workouts and excellent staff. You also get to punch and kick stuff. =)

Tate was an awesome coach today. She was very knowledgeable, showed me how to do the movements, worked out at my own pace and she was patient if I made a mistake. The workout is a workout so be prepared to get it in. I’d recommend this class to people wanting to get active or try something new.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I can’t say enough positive things about Fight Forward and Tate. I was hesitant to join this gym because I was unsure, I would know what to do at each station. However, my experience has been awesome. Tate takes her time with me and explains and re-explains each exercise so that I am sure to have good form and actually learn the moves properly. Additionally, I took an unexpected break from the gym and she was sweet enough to text me and motivate me to return and get back into the schedule. This meant a lot to me because while I have good intentions to take care of my health and maintain my routine, life does often get in the way,
and that little bit of motivation really helped me. It was just a gentle nudge and exactly what I needed to get back on track. I also love that she is willing to modify the exercises to what I need to ensure I’m focusing on the areas that I want to improve. Truly, I cannot recommend this gym and Tate enough!

I have been working out at different gyms across CHICO for over 15 years. Fight Forward kickboxing is the best structured gym in the area. Atmosphere caters to all personalities. Every fitness level and every comfort level can find a place at fight forward. The circuit structure allows for convenient drop in workouts.
I find the workouts to be high level, fun, calorie burning and motivating.
I recommend it to everyone, whether it be a newbie looking to get into fitness or a highly active person looking to add to the their fitness routine.

Update: October 2024, I'm still going 4 to 5 days a week. I absolutely love the owner and how the workout is different everyday. I have never get bored. I enjoy all my fellow gym- goers, we're all friends.
Prior: I am beyond excited to have a kickboxing circuit training facility in town. I really enjoyed this gym and decided to join right away. I love that there are no class times, I can show up during the open hours and jump into the circuit. The owner/trainer is awesome, no yelling- nothing but support and encouragement. She even helped me modify for a pinched nerve that was causing me some pain. There are 10 stations set up with different exercises daily for a full body workout that never gets boring. It's a new workout everyday! AND one of the stations is one on one kicking and punching with the trainer! I really like that we focus on form, not just some dance punching like I've experienced in kickboxing classes elsewhere. This is a full body workout and only takes 35 minutes! I leave feeling energized and spent! And STRONG 💪!

Fight Forward is the best gym I’ve ever been to. I never would’ve stepped foot in a kickboxing gym no matter how bad I wanted to, until a friend brought me in and introduced me to the owner, Tateym. She is a fantastic trainer, dedicated to motivating and teaching her clients no matter where our skill level is at. She takes care of all the hard work for us, all we have to do is show up and put in the work. I’ve lost so much weight and gained so much muscle and confidence. I’ve been with FF for 3 years and counting. I’ve bounced around at least 6 other gyms in my life, getting discouraged and unhealthy again and again. But then I found my happy place in FF. No matter who you are and where you’re at, you’ll feel right at home, and have a kickass instructor ready to help you every step of the way. I would recommend FF to anybody and everybody who wants a personal, professional, nonjudgmental and inviting environment to get in shape while having fun and learning cool skills. Thanks FF!

I can’t put into words how much I love Fight Forward Kickboxing! I’ve been struggling with PCOS for the past year, searching for some physical activity that didn’t make me hate my life. This place has had such an impact on my mental and physical health; in the best way possible. Fight Forward is the BEST 35-minute work out in Chico! I cannot recommend this gym more! The trainer is lovely, she explains things with no judgement and clear instructions for EVERY single exercise. First things first, let me tell you how impressed I am with the cleanliness of the gym. It is spotless! The gym had top-notch equipment that is well-maintained and suited for all levels of fitness.

Now, let's talk about the trainer. Tatum is absolutely fantastic! Not only is Tatum skilled and knowledgeable, but is also incredibly friendly and approachable.

One of the things that stood out to me the most was the inclusive atmosphere of the gym. It didn't matter if you are a complete beginner or a professional athlete, everyone is welcome with open arms.

NOTHING beats the convenience of the 35-minute whole body workout, which I’m able to fit into my busy schedule and leave me with no excuses for missing. The workouts seem fast but are definitely heart-ramping. The atmosphere of the gym has a nice aesthetic, super friendly, and clean. The trainer, Tateym, definitely knows what she’s doing and has been whipping my butt into shape, which is exactly what I want! I’ve tried two other kickboxing gyms here in Chico and found Fight Forward to be exactly what I’ve been looking for! Definitely recommend!
