This gym was extremely unprofessional. The flooring smells, it gets super hot, and a lot of the equipment is unorganized. I will not be returning because the atmosphere just feels dingy

I’ve been coming to this gym for about two months, and honestly, it’s unacceptable. There’s no AC, the place is hot and uncomfortable, and guys are walking around shirtless with tripods everywhere, not even wiping down the machines after using them.

Even worse, the equipment is poorly maintained. Three machines have been out of order for two weeks, including the main cable fly machine. Yesterday, while doing tricep pushdowns, the cable on the other side snapped mid-set and injured my arm. That’s a serious safety issue.

This gym feels completely neglected—broken equipment, no air conditioning, zero cleanliness standards, and a total lack of care for members’ safety. Definitely not worth the money.

I’ll start by saying there are two types of people in the gym: those who are actually about it, and those who just want to say they are. Filthy Fitness is for the ones who are truly about it.

The community here is supportive, welcoming, and dialed in. Everyone’s chasing goals and pushing weight with real intent, it’s the kind of energy you don’t find at your average commercial gym. The 24/7 access is a massive win, it’s never overly crowded, and the layout makes it easy to lock in and get after it. Equipment wise, everything you need is here for serious training machines, cables, free weights, all that.

That said, the only reason I’m leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is that a few pieces of equipment are starting to show their age and could use an upgrade or replacement. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means, just something that would take an already elite gym to the next level.

All in all, Filthy blows every other gym in SCV out of the water. If you’re about that life, this place will feel like home.

Great gym. Owners and staff are very kind and helpful. Very spacious and they have a wide selection of equipment, so you rarely have to wait for anything. Just a great community of people there in general, always keeps me coming back.

Best private gym in the SCV hands down. Clean, has everything you need, and good community aaand pretty affordable especially compared to other private gyms in the area.

Came here today and paid $20 for a day pass to check out the gym. I was very excited to hear that new gym was opening in town.

Pros: Amazing selection of machines, less crowded, and good lightings.
Cons: Stinky flooring, plates unorganized, and NO AIR CONDITIONING.

I will not be signing up unfortunately.

Anti-women slogans in their advertising.
No air conditioning in 100+ degree weather.
Shirtless guys everywhere sweating all over everything.
No deodorant.
Smells like the streets of India mixed with the scent of a decaying cheese locker unearthed 10 years after the apocalypse began.
Used towels and store bought cleaning chemicals on the ground.
Fast track to getting MRSA or Herpes on those benches without proper cleaning chemicals.
Terrible attitude and ego by the owner David who acts like this is the first and last gym on the planet.

As a woman I 100% do not feel safe here not only with my presence, but also with my body and what I could possibly contract on this equipment. Hard pass.

I'm a WBFF bodybuilder and a registered nurse, thanks for the tour David but super duper hard pass. I wish you the best, whatever that even means in this context but you named it properly 'FILTHY fitness' is hyper accurate.
