Fit offers a variety of pilates, yoga and cardio workouts. Convenient location for those who live in downtown. Reformer classes are only currently offered in the Little Italy and East Village location. The reformer classes are in high demand, so it’s best to book these classes a week in advance. 🤸🏽♀️

This FIT has a plethora of new machines so there’s never a wait to workout. The location is always clean and when I go it’s never too crowded. I get the best workouts in here. The view of Petco Park and Gallagher Square from the cardio machines is unbeatable. I look forward to my workouts here because of how nice this gym is.

I had an incredible experience with Nat and the group of amazing students in the class for Comprehensive Mat Pilates training at FIT. Coming in with zero experience, just basic knowledge of Pilates from taking class, Nat provided all necessary tools to succeed (especially the amazing manual) while making everyone feel equal and empowered to comprehend and teach pilates.
Nat has decades of experience in the industry and it really shows from the way she broke down fundamentals and strategically led us to advanced techniques. Most importantly, she always treated each student like they were meant to be there, while also giving us very constructive feedback to help us move to our next phase.
I truly missed the class once it ended, seeing every student evolve was such a inspiring part of it, and let me tell you ,those students were teaching the class at the end and you would never know they just started learning three weeks prior. Hands down, a remarkable course for any level of Pilates you’re at, you will leave there thinking, why didn’t I do this sooner?

Fit on 10th is great. It’s got a super refined atmosphere without being overly pretentious like some other higher end gyms. Aleah, one of the fitness instructors is amazing and challenges you without being a drill sergeant. Management staff is always really responsive when you provide feedback on issues. My only real annoyance is that for some of the machines there is only one set; e.g. only one bicep curl machine (there are plenty of alternative weights, but if someone is taking 15 minutes to do biceps on the machine, you’re kinda out of luck).

Never again, you have to be kidding me right?
I left this class really disappointed. The instructor, Emily K seemed uninterested and dismissive, which made the whole session uncomfortable. There was barely any focus on form or safety, and instead of being taught, it just felt like I was rushed through the movements. For how much the class cost, I expected actual guidance, but I walked out feeling like I wasted both my time and money. At other studios, instructors are engaged and supportive, this was the complete opposite.

"Where luxury meets fitness"? More like where disappointment meets grime. Rough towels, filthy showers, broken lockers, and parking that’ll ruin your day. Nothing luxurious about it.

Very poor first experience at Fit - I recently referred my partner to this gym despite never having been a member myself. I’ve lived downtown for six years and wanted to check out this gym for myself with him and a friend of ours. My partner let me know guest passes were $25. Today, I got to the gym with our friend while my partner was en route from a massage in Point Loma. They tried to charge me $45 for a guest pass instead of $25. I asked why and they said it’s because our friend was not a member, instead he badges in through some sort of work program. That difference does not make sense to me, but I let them know my partner was a member too and I was attending as his guest. They told me he would have to come to Fit to badge in with me, which I felt was very inconvenient given that he needed to stop home for his gym bag which would add another 10 minutes and I would be standing around waiting, or he’d have to come to Fit first, then leave and come back. As someone who’s lived nearby Fit for 6 years and referred friends and partners here, this experience was profoundly disappointing by and ensures I will never be a member here. The staff were inflexible and refused to accommodate a neighbor with a $20 discount.

I've been with FitAthletic for over a month now after transferring from the disaster called eos and I am so glad to have found this place. I was genuinely worried when moving here I would not be able to find a gym that matched up to John Reed in Santa Monica, but I was gladly wrong to be worried.
FitAthletic in Downtown San Diego near the Padres stadium is my favorite location. Hala at the front desk is awesome and super friendly, so is Angelo.
The majority of equipment is also newer, and there is so many machines! I never have to "wait for a machine to open up" because there's 2-3 of each machine, and it's never overcrowded enough where I found myself waiting for a machine. There are SEVERAL areas to do stretches and other freestyle workouts. However, the mats are awkwardly short, not exactly sure who or what those mats were made for but they're probably like 4 ft long.
The maintenance staff is super friendly as well. I'm relatively OCD and a clean freak and I genuinely think this gym is greatly maintained and cleaned. The other members I notice also avidly clean the machines after using it, which is a gym culture I respect. It's not a socializing gym and you don't see people huddled together chatting. People are there to workout with their headphones on and go home, and I love that.
Classes are offerred with the one membership tier, and I have yet to look into those since I have a really busy work schedule. Hours are relatively tight. They close at 9 pm on weekdays and 7 pm on weekends, which makes me need to adjust my entire schedule and usual workout routine to workaround their hours. They also have red light therapy, cryotherapy, and massage chair therapy all available and included at the DT 10th ave location. Mission Beach has a huge laps pool while the 10th ave one has more of a social club pool. Which has a cute vibe. There was a ton of people out there just reading books, it wasn't loud or weird.
The atmosphere and the culture they've cultivated here makes it worth it. I tell everyone that's talking about gyms to sign up here.

Is it worth $200/month? No. Is it cleaner than 24/LA? Sure. Shower towel hooks missing in half the showers. Body wash/shampoo dispenser can be opened by any member, which means anyone can put their fingers in there. The towels are worn out, washers overfilled with towels so you know they are not being washed properly. Lockers are getting worn out, keypads don’t always work. Sink soap is so thick it don’t flow out properly. Employees use the mouthwash cups to clean the sink basins. Equipment is decent, can definitely use a refresher. Very compact workout area, so no real personal space. But hey, better than 24 & LA I suppose. No compatible competition so this company does not have to try so hard

Honestly, I love my gym. FIT is hands down the best. I go to the one downtown and the vibe here is just different. There’s great energy, people are motivated, and the amenities are top tier. The fact that they offer Pilates classes, which no gym really does, makes them stand out even more. The staff is always so nice… I’m usually checking in with Brooke and Honor, and they’re just incredibly helpful. It really makes a difference. I highly recommend them and I’m truly so happy to be a member!!!

Besides undoubtedly being the best gym in San Diego, with the best amenities, the cleanest and most comfortable, it also has a great team. This gym is really nice, clean, has great amenities and classes. The people that come here are friendly as well. I signed up with Natalie at the end of last year, and it was an easy process. She set me up with an amazing trainer! Emma is the trainer I see weekly for her strength training class. She is amazing, pushes you to your limit and is knowledgeable about what she teaches. I would recommend seeing Emma if you need some help with your work out, need that extra push and want to see results.

I went here for almost a year. 160 a month for 1 location or 200+ a month for all fit locations. My review is for East Village only.
Pros: clean, new equipment, steamroom, sauna, cool rooftop pool w/ one hot tub, and four individual cold plunges on rooftop, too. They host social events outside of the gym too. And you get validated parking in a parking garage.
Cons: close friggin early. Weekends close at 7:00pm. Week days they close at 9:00pm. I don’t like the new machines, they “look nice” but they’re kind of complicated. Atmosphere is cold and off. All of the Pilates classes are booked months in advance (there are only 8 spots).
It’s a good gateway gym then you’ll eventually hop off for something more affordable and open late rather than luxe imo. Overall, I did enjoy my time here but idk if I’d come back.

I’ve been a member here over half a year, i had an issue today with something defective. I reached out the general manager via email (with an attitude) within 10 minutes I had received a call and email from him immediately attempting to remedy me. I was mad and ready to cancel my membership for a total of 10 minutes before they went above and beyond to make sure I was righted for any wrongs. The GM came up with a personalized remedy to make sure I left happy. Massive shoutout to Jordan and his gym… it’s expensive but it’s treatment like this that makes it worth every penny, I want to emphasize, I’ve never had a gym treat an issue I had with such urgency and professionalism (except for FIT!)

A Mixed Experience – Great Amenities but Room for Improvement
This gym offers fantastic amenities like massages and has a welcoming front desk staff, making it an appealing place to work out. One of its standout features is the reformer classes, which contribute to the higher price point. However, these classes are often difficult to book, requiring reservations several days or even a week in advance. Additionally, the strict cancellation policy (a $30 fee if canceled less than six hours in advance) adds some frustration.
While most of the instructors are friendly and professional, I had a particularly negative experience with one instructor, Alana Wilbur, that has unfortunately overshadowed my overall impression of the gym. I arrived one minute late to her 5 PM class due to a quick restroom break after work. Despite seeing me knocking at the door, she ignored me for two minutes before finally opening it and stating I couldn’t join because I was late. While I understand the importance of punctuality, other instructors have shown flexibility to students in similar situations, and I’m typically on time.
After the class, I approached her to clarify if I’d still be charged the late cancellation fee. While she assured me I wouldn’t be, her response—“You’re probably not going to take my class, are you? Don’t worry about it”—felt dismissive and unnecessary. The interaction, coupled with being locked out, left a poor impression.
I truly appreciate the positives this gym has to offer, but experiences like this make me question its value, especially given the high price point. Encouraging staff to handle such situations with more empathy and professionalism would go a long way toward improving the overall member experience.

The gym is very spacious and equipped with the best machines, especially a wide selection of Gym80 equipment. The rooftop pool is absolutely amazing, offering a serene spot to relax after a workout. The view from the rooftop is stunning, providing a beautiful panorama that makes your workout experience even more enjoyable. The cleanliness of the facility is impeccable, and until around 5:00 PM, it’s not too crowded, so you can always access the machines you need without any hassle.
The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, always ready to assist with any questions or provide guidance. They keep the atmosphere welcoming and make you feel at ease, whether you’re a beginner or an advanced gym-goer. The changing rooms and showers are also well-maintained and spacious, ensuring a comfortable experience before and after your sessions.
Additionally, the variety of equipment and workout spaces caters to all kinds of training preferences, from weightlifting to cardio and functional training. The group fitness classes offered are diverse and led by excellent instructors who make every session engaging and challenging.
Overall, I was extremely satisfied with this gym. It’s the perfect place for anyone looking for a premium fitness experience in a clean, modern, and inspiring environment.

Emma A. has been more than just a personal trainer; she's been a trusted friend and health advocate. From navigating safe workouts during the pandemic to tailoring routines for my pregnancy and cancer treatment, she's consistently exceeded expectations. Thanks to her expertise, I've been able to stay active and healthy throughout some of life's most challenging periods. Her personalized workouts have helped me improve my strength and flexibility, and boost my mood. I'm truly amazed at how she's adapted her approach to accommodate my changing needs. Personal training with Emma has been such an incredible and transformative experience. I've grown in ways I never thought possible thanks to Emma's support, encouragement and tailor made program.
Since working with Emma, I've successfully increased muscle, endurance and confidence and decreased body fat. As someone who was too intimidated by all of the different machines in the gym, Emma helps break down how to safely use each machine and helps you find your starting weight then works on progressively increasing that weight.
She supports and encourages me when I need the extra motivation, while ensuring I listen to my body and rest when needed.
I feel completely taken care of while training with Emma. She always goes the extra step to set up my equipment, put away weights and even cleans the machines so I can rest between exercises (which I appreciate big time!!)
I love working with Emma and genuinely look forward to our time together!

Personal Training Experience:
I am thrilled to share my experience with my personal trainer, Emma. From the very first session, Emma has impressed me with her incredible ability to create a seamless flow in my workouts. She carefully designs each session to be both challenging and enjoyable, which keeps me motivated and excited to push my limits.
What I appreciate most about Emma is her understanding of my fitness goals. She tailors each workout to help me progress without ever making me feel overwhelmed. Her approach is supportive rather than competitive, allowing me to focus on my personal growth at my own pace.
Emma’s knowledge and enthusiasm shine through in every session, making it easy to trust her guidance. I’ve seen significant improvements in my strength and endurance thanks to her thoughtful programming. I highly recommend Emma to anyone looking for a personal trainer who balances challenge with a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

Very happy that I joined Fit. Their gym floor is very well equipped. I would say about 50-60% of the machines are brand new and state of the art. I would imagine they are going to update everything eventually, but even the older machines are beyond satisfactory. I also work with a personal trainer, Will B, who is fantastic.
The locker rooms are great. Always towels available, a steam room + dry sauna, and 4 cold plunges outside. They also validate parking for 3 or 3.5 hours.
All things considered, fit covers all my fitness bases. I switched from one of your typical run of the mill gyms, and it has made a world of difference for me and my routine.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Fit East Village.
I've been a member at Fit Athletic Club East Village for some time now, paying a premium $200 a month for what I expect to be top-notch service and facilities. Unfortunately, my visit today was an absolute nightmare, and I'm seriously reconsidering my membership.
I brought a friend along today, who had to pay $25 for a guest pass. We were excited to use the hot tub, sauna, and showers after our workout. To our dismay, when we arrived, we found out that the hot tub was not only out of service but also dirty. On top of that, there was no hot water throughout the facility, the showers had zero water pressure, and the sauna wasn't working either. This was particularly frustrating because we were never informed of these issues when we checked in. The one small sign that mentioned the hot water issue was easy to miss and placed at the front desk, far from noticeable.
When we brought our concerns to the staff, specifically Ian and Nathan, we were met with condescension and rudeness. Ian dismissively pointed to the tiny sign at the front desk and seemed completely unconcerned about our dissatisfaction. There was no apology, no attempt to make things right, and they outright refused to offer my friend a pass to return on another day. For a gym that charges $200 a month, this lack of basic customer service is inexcusable.
The purpose of our visit today was to relax and use the amenities, none of which were available. We left feeling frustrated and completely let down. It’s baffling that the gym didn’t make a better effort to inform us of these major issues, especially when they know members are paying such a high price for access.
While I’ve generally had a good experience at this gym and with other staff members, today’s encounter with Ian and Nathan has left a very bad taste in my mouth. If this is how members are treated, I would strongly caution anyone considering joining the East Village location. It’s disappointing to see such a stark contrast in service compared to the Mission Valley and Little Italy locations, where I’ve rarely encountered any issues.
Fit Athletic, if you’re reading this, I hope you take this feedback seriously. Members like myself expect more for the price we pay, and today’s experience fell far short of what I consider acceptable. If things don’t improve, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

I have to brag on this place for three things: quality, community, and commitment.
The gym is the highest quality in 100 mile radius on all areas, from the interior finishes and gym layout to the classes and staffing. Period. My ex convinced me to try other gyms to save money. We tried them all. The shirtless gym in PL, the stinky roid gym in PB, the cheap Ys and the underfunded LA Fs all over town, even the still open 24Hs… coming back to Fit felt like coming home. There’s nothing close. It was not even a decision, I had to break up with him and rejoin Fit.
The guys and girls at this gym treat each other with respect. And everyone is protective of the vibe. The manager Shayna and Emma went to bat for my boyfriend and I when one random closet case with back rolls decided to yell at my partner in the weight room (can you believe that guy is a life coach by profession … I hope no one pays him for advice on anything). They defended us, set him on his way, and went the extra mile to ensure we felt safe and supported. It’s one of those gyms that looks judgey but actually is the least judgey gym I’ve been to.
Finally, their commitment to excellence is impressive and I appreciate it. They still throw a holiday party and member happy hours, they’re constantly adding new and cool things. I now do cryo and get IV treatments because they offer them and make it easy and affordable. And their pool, spa, amenities, meals, even their apparel and classes are unique, top quality, and make the place more than a place to get swole. It’s a place to keep your mind and sense of community right too.
Thanks Shayna and Riley for signing us up!

Listen fit is a gorgeous gym. All of the equipment you could ever ask for and the views are fantastic. However, the culture needs some work. The female trainers here are extremely catty and snobby - and this is coming from someone who was an equinox member for years. It seems like they are constantly gossiping and making people uncomfortable and it’s just not a good vibe. We all come to the gym to escape not to be judged by the mean girl committee. The guy trainers are really sweet but the females need a reality check that they aren’t in high school and they’re just trainers. Lol.

Very advanced gym with first class service, equipment and facilities: various weights and machines, every kind of cardio, beautiful rooftop pool and jacuzzi, complimentary towels, his and hers sauna and steam room, membership fitness and social programming, 3 hour parking validation...
Maybe little styling details like length of hours of operation, locker size and maybe the unbolted petit leg lift and dip racks might lift a hardcore fitness guys eyebrow...
But only the hardcore ones... and that's probably because they're hangry.
Otherwise everything is a magical wonderland here that's absolutely worth the value! 💪🏾❤️👍🏾

Amazing location especially during baseball season with the patio allowing you to get great seats to watch the game while you workout.
This location also gives 3 hours of validated parking which allows you to never feel as if you are being rushed during your workout.
The staff is great, always a smile and friendly hello.
This gym is a 5 out of 5 on the cleanliness and you can tell the cleaning staff take pride in really ensuring it stays this way.
They recently just updated all the flooring which makes for an even nicer looking spot and the equipment is suitable for whatever style of training you are looking to accomplish.
The manager at this location always are on point with any issues that may arise and truly understand customer service.

The place to go if you want to stand around waiting for weights, benches, and/or machines…while people sit on their phones making IG posts of themselves, swiping on Tinder, or setting up their plans for the night.
Trainers come up to you and accuse of “training someone” if you work out with a friend, and then when you tell them you’re not they accuse you of being liar.
Place is looking more run down daily.
This place was the best in SD before COVID, and now it’s not AT ALL what is used to be.
2-star because at least the equipment is still pretty solid, if you don’t mind waiting for the IG influencer to finish taking their pics with it.

Hit, hit and a miss. I was visiting San Diego for a few weeks and I purchased the 10 day pass. I had the opportunity to visit a number of the Fit Athletic clubs and below is a description of my experiences
Fit Little Italy 5/5 - large gym space, appropriately arranged with a large range of equipment, stretching areas and outdoor space. The staff at this club are friendly and approachable and happy to help with any questions you may have. The members here are also very friendly and polite and there were no "ego-lifting" here, just great people doing a great job of looking after themselves in a great environment. - My favourite out of the three clubs I visited. Members were clean and conscientious of wiping down equipment after use and there are wipe dispensers distributed around the gym floor at various places.
Fit Mission Beach 5/5 - the smallest of the three clubs I visited but the best location with lane swimming, still a great selection of equipment and being able to go to the rooftop to warmup/cooldown while overlooking the Ocean was awesome. The staff and members here were also really friendly and approachable and there were towels and wipes to clean equipment distributed around the gym floor which I saw were used consistently by the members which shows great gym etiquette.
Fit East Village 2/5 - If you don't care about, or are unbothered by rudeness OR you don't really care about cleanliness or positive gym etiquette then this is the Fit club for you. Fit East Village is by far the largest of the three clubs I attended and I have to admit that it has the best rooftop area out of all three clubs. The staff are rude, dismissive, unhelpful and generally arrogant. This poor attitude seems to have rubbed of on the members who didn't wipe down equipment after use and were generally (but not entirely) unaware of themselves or others who were also using the space. Now I see past the rude staff and the non-cholent members but what stopped me using this gym was a matter of hygiene. One instance I'll describe:
If you want to use enhancements to reach your body building goals then that's your call and your body, your choice.... But back acne is a common side effect and I witnesses a massive/muscular man in a stringer vest using machines with burst and ruptured pustules oozing down his back. Did he wipe equipment after he used it? NO! We are all using these spaces to achieve certain body aesthetics, keep fit and generally healthy. Having experienced the rudeness of staff and the lack of awareness regarding cleanliness at this gym I decided that that was my last visit to Fit East Village. With consideration for other members at East Village I WIPED DOWN THE BODY'BUILDERS PIECE OF EQUIPMENT, washed my hands and left. I didn't bother mentioning it to any of the staff because I doubt they would have bothered doing anything anyway...
BUT - regardless, Fit Little Italy and Fit Mission Beach are amazing and I have those experiences of this brand to keep me coming back when i return to San Diego in the future. Hopefully by then, Fit East Village will have cleaned up its act (literally)

Space is great. Was a member for years. But sketchy business and will
Never go again. Stopped membership during Covid as was dealing with ongoing family medical issue. Specifically instructed them in writing to stop billing me, which they did temporarily then suddenly started again without my permission. They changed my credit card info to force payments (again without my permission) for over 6 months and $1000 later. Haven’t been to there in over 2 yrs and now they refuse to refund anything. Be careful.

I've been coming here for years when, in town for business or pleasure. Super friendly and helpful staff. Facilities are clean and well kept.
There is definitely a nice gym culture here in the morning or during the day. Refreshing not to be falling over tripods or walking jnto an Instagram shot every few minutes. Not much chat on the whole, people just getting the work done.
Could use some heavier DBs, more calibrated and or bumper plates and the pool has an annoying set of steps both ends which stop you from doing laps.

Canceled my membership because the price you pay for the gym is not worth it.
It’s very crowded almost any time. Also, it does depend on who it is, but front desk can be rude and ignoring you when walking in.
Female trainers are not very nice either.
I like that it’s clean and has a pool and sauna. But that’s not worth the price you pay.

Really cold gym with a view of petco park. The staff is extremely nice and caring. The only requests I’d have is the addition of one more lat pull down machine since that machine is used up, a trap machine, and to be open an extra hour. Most gyms in SD close down fairly early compared to other cities but 9pm is earlier than most.

I bought a one year all clubs membership in January 2020. The person that signed me up called me a week later and said they didn’t charge me enough. He apologized and stated he’s new. They charged me an additional $300-$400. I was very annoyed but thought it could be an honest mistake and didn’t say anything. Then the pandemic started and the gym was open on and off so I didn’t really get to use my all clubs membership and used only 1 location. I casually asked if they were able to refund me for the additional $300-$400 that I was charged for no reason at this point since I’m not using all the clubs and they responded that couldn’t. That’s fine, I can almost understand that. This year I planned on being out of town for June and July so I asked in May if my account was able to be frozen while I was not here. They stated that it’s no problem but I would still be charged some annual improvement fee of $75 in June just like all members. Again, I said fine because I liked the gym enough. In June I find a $15 charge from Fit Athletic on my credit card bill in addition to the $75 fee and find out from a friend that they charge you for freezing your account. Mind you that no one at the gym has communicated this to me so far. Once again, I say fine and overlooked the charge. In July I started getting calls from random numbers about how another $15 charge from Fit didn’t go through because my credit card is not set up on their new app. I called the club and asked what that was about and she stated that basically you get charged $15 a month just to freeze your account. I asked her if she can waive it for me and she checked with her manager and said no. So at this point I paid the extra $15 (again) and will just finish out my membership with them and take my business elsewhere. I suggest you all do too. I will be suggesting the same to all my friends in San Diego.

Excellent customer service and gym facilities. I never had any complaints here, they maintain all their equipment and everything is top notch. After awhile it ended up being a little more than I wanted to pay as they are easily 3-4x the price of other big box gyms. They resolved all my issues with membership dues quickly as I stopped attending the gym after the pandemic restrictions lifted.

Do not join unless you plan on being a lifetime member they will not let you cancel. They say it is a month-to-month deal and you can cancel anytime but it just isn’t true the only way they will let you cancel is sending an email you cannot talk to anybody you have to send an email to the customer service and they don’t respond to you so it is a dead end when trying to cancel

Questionable values during the second wave lockdown. I appreciate all of the checks they did when they were allowed to reopen, but their recent email about suing the state because they are being closed due to increased cases in the area is wild. Gyms are not being singled out, everyone is. They state data to justify their claim in their email that is disputed by peer-reviewed, higher-impact journals. FIT is a good product, but this Trumpy email with careless misinformation isn’t the moment.

I am very disappointed with Fit Mission Beach Customer Service since the first time I've been there.
I was wearing shorts and flip-flops - ready to go to the beach on a Saturday morning.
When I arrived there, the sales rep started to show me the membership prices and discussing it right away. I asked "you're not going to show me the gym first?" Then he said "I just want to make sure you're aware of our pricing". What does it mean? Did I look like I didn't have financial conditions to pay for the membership?
Then I asked him about a discount of course. I am a business woman. I work with purchasing for years and also have sales and customer service experience. Of course I'll try to negotiate everything. Then he said there was no discount available, and in sum, that they don't need to offer any discount since they have enough customers already.
I was impressed with the location, but very disappointed with this very poor customer service. Even though, I really wanted to work out with that view. So I went to downtown location just to sign up with a different person. I had a very nice experience with Rachel, so I closed the deal.
Today, 3 weeks later, I had a very bad experience with the manager AARON BAZZ.
The gym was closing. I was so focused and exhausted that I didn't realize by the time. So this manager came to me to say the gym was closed that I had to leave. I was like "ok, I didn't realized the time". So I left the training room and went outside to sit for 1 minute. This manager came to me again saying "I told you the gym is closed and you have to leave". I said "I am just breathing. Can I just stay to breath for 1 minute?" He said "No!! You have to leave right now!!"
I didn't even waste my time arguing. He treated me with total disrespect, was not kind, polite at all! He was super rude and I will not tolerate this kind of treatment from no one.
That's an expensive gym compared to the others, and the "cheaper" ones never treated me like that, with such disrespect and very bad customer service.
The gym looks nice, the location is nice, but totally not worth it for this very bad customer service. I live in San Diego for over 5 years and never been treated like that!

This gym was very clean with all the equipment you’d expect in a high quality gym. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. I interacted mainly with Kennedy in sales. She had accurate answers to all my questions. Kennedy was also very helpful after I became a member. I contacted her directly with any questions I had while getting adjusted to the gym. She was not pushy at all to make the sale, but checked in with me from time to time to let me know she was there to help. This is exactly what I needed because I recently relocated to the area and was a bit overwhelmed with everything involved with that process. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone in the downtown area.

This is a late entry to my short experience here before covid happened. Great facility and equipments but the customer service is so unpleasant. This includes misleading advertisement when signing up (my fault for relying on the words of the rep and not reading the agreement line by line), delayed response from their membership team, and such a hassle to cancel my membership. If you care about the equipment and the ambience only, then certainly a great gym. If you care at all about whether this place truly values their members.... I recommend somewhere else.

Super nice location, luxurious style/design, pool, wellness area, the view, overall very clean and especially the training area and the equipment are superb. This gym is for serious athletes, looking to train heavy and not just do cardio enjoying a view, like many other 'high level' gyms.

All around awesome amenities and the equipment is kept up well. A bit disappointed with this gyms staff and the lack of inclusivity and just general awareness. A coworker and I toured the gym and the representative was informed we were coworkers/friends. He directed all his attention to my male coworker. After the tour he only grabbed information for him.
A bit of a disappointment considering that he was trying to sell a membership and I was actually highly motivated before going on the tour.
I’d encourage some active listening and rapport building training considering how expensive the membership is alone.

Blew my mind! I fell in love with this place after just a moment of entering the establishment. Excellent staff and love the different sequestered workout areas! Not private, but there were various small areas you could work out in peace. Barkley Davies was HANDS DOWN, my favorite part of my first visit to Fit! He was very knowledgeable of the establishments' rules, regulations, and staff. He knew exactly what he was talking about and voluntarily offered his professional fitness advice when I inquired about my fat body. Just wanted to start out by saying this place is so much more than a local gym. You're treated like family day in and day out by the men at the front desk. Most of them remember your name when you come in regularly and start your training days off which a huge smile! Love that this gym has old school machines instead of the new hoist commercial gym standards! If you're interested in a serious gym and a fit family that will help you reach your health goals I highly recommend you walk in and give this gym a try! (Very affordable and zero BS contracts and fees) Started bodybuilding here a little over 2 years ago and just going to add that the owner and his sons are absolute gentlemen! Mad respect to this gym for changing names, keeping true to their core beliefs and continuing to run the gym the way WE want :)

It is so sad to have to write this review. I sincerely hope that Chad the General Manger has time to reflect on the situation. I have belonged to Fit for close to a year. The club is beautiful and the majority of the staff are fantastic. Alas, one bad apple can spoil the bunch. I have complaiend about this young woman more than once to management, about the absolute horrific treatment and customer service of this front desk attendant. She never smiles, is curt, rude and lacks any basic customer service skills.
This past weekend I had my wallet stolen including all my credit cards. Despite my explanation to the young woman at the front desk - and fact that I am in here almost daily - this attendant refused me admittance until I had a new card on file. I had to literally return to my car in the basement and retrieve my temporary wallet and another temp. atm card, and then had to deal with her nasty demeanor as I asked why she was rude and forced me to leave the gym and provide a card I did not want have yet. I am certain she is aware of my complaints about her attitude in the past but felt on this weekend, whithout managment on site, she could exact her revenge.
In addition to Fit, I hold memberships at Chuze fitness and YMCA. While their gyms are not as nice or flashy, they are the most friendly, smiling and courteous staff in the business. While Fit is visibly nice, it is extremely expensive. The attitude and lack of customer service adds up and this was the final straw. As a CEO, I know how crucial friendly customer service is in any business. This continued staffing of people who are rude, wil not earn or retain my business. I hope this message rings true and that changes are made, as the gym itself is a wonderful venue for fitness.
UPDATE: it has been one year since discussing the matter with Chad the GM. He chose to do nothing, stating that this employee had been there for several years and was having a bad day. He stated he would “talk” with her, offered no recourse or way to make up for the event. Funny as it was, I ended up getting flagged for not having my new card on file, despite having him put it In himself. The place was simply not well run in the staffing department, which is critical for gyms. In the end, it was time for me to go. I have missed aspects of the gym, as it was beautiful and the patrons were serious about fitness, but the continued lack of customer service, unfriendly demeanor and treatment of clientele as “lucky” to belong, is something I see far to often with local businesses these days and I just won’t spend a premium monthly fee to be treated like dollar bill instead of a human being. Best....

but for those who come in with an alternate goal to change their life in the fitness world. The people and environment will make sure that you can see your future.. whether it's beauty, health or both
The staff is super helpful if you're willing to ask questions.

Great gym. Clean equipment, well laid out and good mix of cardio and weights. Staff Is outstanding. My only complaint is that no one re-racks their plates after lifting.

Not accommodating for travelers, no free pass as advertised on their website and $30/day. Poor customer service by text in our circumstance.

Highly unprofessional and rude staff; even their club manager does not exhibit any professionalism. Also, terrible hygiene as nobody wipes the equipments after their use, and their yoga room is filthy. There are much better, cleaner and truly high-end gyms. Do not waste your time and money at this high-end wanna be, pretentious club! Do not be fooled by their 4.1 star rating, as I highly doubt the genuineness of the reviewers and their being actual club members.

This might be the best gym is all of San Diego, it's that nice. If you are visiting, you can usually get a day pass. The also offer healthy, to go meals that are expensive but are fresh and good for you.

Hands down the best gym I have ever seen. Huge with every machine you can imagine and all the extra stuff: gymnastics room, yoga, etc. Great staff. This is a place you can do a serious workout. -RG

Pros: Great equipment variety
Lot of room to workout
Rarely gets crowded
You get towel service
Tons of ameneties; pool, sauna, steam room, heated yoga, crossfit
Cons: The Hours are horrible, they close at 10pm and weekends open at 7am
When something breaks it will stay broken for at least a month
The AC does not work during summer or maybe they just dont want to turn it on but it feels really stuffy
Do good research before you commit yourself to something it might be worth it for some might not be for others,
PS also be sure to google some of the other people who have commented/rated here notice they are mostly employees/ affiliates so dont go by all the ratings / comments DO YOUR RESEARCH

I've been going to Fit for the better part of a year now and it is by far the best gym I have ever belonged to. The moment you walk inside you can tell that this won't be like your typical gym experience. From the towel service they provide, the the spa-like conditions of the locker room, to the view directly into Petco Park...it really doesn't get any better.
The staff have always been friendly and helpful to me. The machines have always been in awesome condition and working properly give or take the inevitable breakdown that is usually fixed quickly. I go at what I would consider the beginning of peak hours for a gym and I rarely have to wait for equipment. Honestly, one of my favorite things about the gym is the clientele. When you are paying a premium for your gym, you better believe you are taking your fitness seriously. I love being surrounded by like-minded individuals that clearly have a passion for fitness, but aren't there to judge the people around them.
The price might be higher than most gyms in the area, but you get what you pay for. I personally could not be happier.

Fit is unlike any other gym out there. Everything is top notch, from the friendly and helpful staff to the trainers and state of the art equipment. When joining Fit, you don't only become a member but a part of a community. You will never get sick of going to Fit since there is always something going on. Throughout the summer Fit throws pool parties on their rooftop pool that overlooks Petco Park and other events like member appreciation days. I highly recommend going in to check Fit out!
