Fit Buddha has amazing teachers that each bring a unique and different energy to the room. The staff always goes the extra mile to make sure you have a positive experience. It is great for all fitness levels because you can modify the workout to your level of pilates. I highly recommend Fit Buddha.

Most amazing welcoming place to workout and get fit in Santa Barbara.
I found Fit Buddha while visiting SB from hawaii. I was so happy to find this studio and meet the teachers here. I had a fantastic workout and felt immediately a part of a wonderful community. I really felt the aloha spirit at this studio - something I did not expect to find in this area!

I only wish there was a studio in hawaii so it could be my home studio to workout at.

I've been going to Fit Buddha for about a month now, which is surprising because I did not want to come back after the first class. Why? Because it's a hard workout (for me anyways). I talked myself into going back after a few days since I didn't like the idea of giving up so fast and I needed to stop making excuses about working out. With that being said, I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants a challenge or something different from a traditional gym.

For context, I'd never done any yoga or pilates classes and it took me some time to figure out the machine, but you eventually get the hang of it. The instructors are extremely helpful and they create such a positive atmosphere that I actually want to go workout now.

I just love Fit Buddah ! I was beginning to get constant back pain in my yoga classes and went to fit buddah to improve my core strength and it worked wonders !

The classes are the perfect length and intensity to get a great workout during my lunch break .

I LOVE this place. I typically dislike group workouts and classes BUT not in this case. The workouts are challenging but also provide a space for the participants to quiet their minds. I find the workouts relaxing and empowering. When I leave I am proud of myself for completing the workout, I feel strong, and happy! And after about 6 workouts I started to see changes in my body. I highly recommend Fit Buddha if you want to be fit and feel the peace of the buddha.

I was hesitant to try Fit Buddha at first because it seemed very niche and I had no previous pilates or megaformer experience. The biggest hurdle was getting there and after my first class I was hooked! I am not an experienced athlete by any means but I have taken many different types of classes and this one is by far the most challenging and rewarding. There is nothing like the shaking of your body on the machine and the satisfying soreness the next day. I've been recommending it to all my friends wanting to switch up their workouts.

This is such a great place. Marcus is a great instructor, motivating, caring and friendly. Also the others in the class were friendly and talking to each other which made it a really fun atmosphere. I'd seriously recommend this place to get fit and toned. Spin and Lagree method in one zen'd out place.

Fit Buddha is totally great! The megaformer is a brilliant low impact machine that lights up my core like no other piece of equipment. Expect your abs to burn and your legs to shake. There are some upper body moves as well, but when I fit Fit Buddha into my workout schedule, I think of it mostly as a core & legs programming, although different teachers and different classes will have different sequencing (always a surprise!). It’s definitely a challenge, and if you are super out of shape, you might get a better bang for your buck getting your planks in at home first (the workout is certainly modifiable for a beginner, but the hard stuff seems to be what makes it so excellent). My favorite instructors are Stephanie, who offers really excellent alignment tips that help me get more out of even really familiar movements, and Rebecca, whose 70 minute combo class has a sweet sweaty energy, but I’ve never had a bad workout with anyone! Friendly, clean environment with tasty spring water. πŸ™‚

I was initially intimidated and unclear about using a β€˜Megaformer’ Machine. My first class was very challenging and made me realize how many muscle groups I have been neglecting (even though I work out regularly) and by my second and third class I felt myself getting stronger in these areas and having a whole new appreciation for the work. This is the only workout I have found that is low impact, focuses on form, and gets you immediate results (yes, you will be sore!). Not to mention it is a laid back, fun atmosphere with a warm group of regulars.

Fit Buddha is fantastic and you won't regret giving it a try. A friend brought me in about 8 months ago, and although I've been active my whole life, I'm now in better shape than ever. The instructors know exactly what to do to get you toned in all the right places, and I feel better AND look better because of them. Like, seriously, I actually posted a bikini pic online last month that I wasn't embarrassed to share :)
What keeps me coming back is that I don't dread the workout- it's only 40 minutes, there is ZERO cardio, the music is good, and you get to lay down for like, half the class. I pay for 3-4 classes a week, which is a little pricey for me (but only slightly higher than a gym membership) but they usually have promotions going on, and with the personal attention and small class size it's worth it.
Try Fit Buddha- your future self will be SO glad you did.

I was visiting from out of town and took a pilates class with Kyle. Class was good but I especially liked that there is this big stopwatch on his ipad so you can see how much more time you have for each exercise.

I had booked the class with some other girlfriends who didn't show up because their hotel was evacuated from the Goleta fire. Kyle was super nice about it. Found out from the girls after that their class was refunded back to them. Great customer service.

We visit SB alot so I'm excited this studio is here and will be back!

Awesome low impact full workout in 40 minutes on their Megaformer. Small focused movements, and use of core is the focus. Drop in $5. Combo class with power cyclingg available. $15/ class for cycling. Just visiting and was happy to get a great workout. Sore after one session. Highly recommend. Some say it is Pilates on steroids.
