Using the innovative Megaformer machine, the Lagree Fitness method uses continuous, constant tension. It strengthens, tightens, and tones your body at the same time. There’s many different studios to choose from in Ventura but there is something very special and scared about Fit Budda. There’s an infectious energy that makes you feel good and welcomed elsewhere entering the doors. Highly recommend this Pilates studio if you’re looking in the Ventura area.

Fit Buddha changed my life, seriously! I had not worked out for over ten years when I started because I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. I underwent a bilateral mastectomy, and went through another 10 (yes 10) reconstructive surgeries over the course of two years and topped that off with spinal fusion 4 years ago. I had just turned sixty and honestly felt I was forever doomed to a weak, shapeless body. I was shy and embarrassed.

But from the moment I walked into Fit Buddha, everything shifted. The space was welcoming, the instructors were warm and encouraging, and the energy was pure empowerment. They met me exactly where I was—physically and emotionally—and helped me build strength I thought I'd lost forever. Slowly, class by class, I began to feel muscles I hadn’t felt in years waking up again. I started standing taller, moving with more confidence, and, dare I say it, feeling powerful.

This isn’t just a workout—it’s a healing journey wrapped in sweat and trembling muscles. The Lagree method is no joke (your glutes will write you angry letters), but it’s also deeply transformative. I am stronger, leaner, and more connected to my body than I ever was in my 30s or 40s. And the best part? I now look forward to movement. I’m no longer working out to punish my body—I’m showing up to honor it.

To anyone who feels like their best days are behind them, or that they’re too far gone to make a change—please hear me: you are not. Fit Buddha helped me reclaim my strength, my confidence, and my joy. And for that, I will be forever grateful, so THANK YOU Marcus, Eva and each of your amazing instructors for all you do!

Small studio with 10 Megaformers, the instructors keep an eye on everyone to prevent injury & also help with moves.

I wish I could give Fit Buddha more than five stars. Within three months, the studio has completely changed not only my body, but my approach and mentality regarding fitness. I adore this place and the instructors.

In all honesty, I was a little apprehensive to go to Pilates at first because I didn’t feel as though I would be a proper fit. However, my first workout was so extremely challenging, forcing me to engage muscles in ways I was not accustomed to, that I immediately signed up for an unlimited months pass. And despite my initial reservations, it was evident from the first workout that this was the type of exercise I needed to improve my posture, strength, endurance and flexibility. I instantly became hooked on the Lagree method.

I’ve been routinely going to Sheri’s, Marcus’, and Eva’s classes and they are all wonderful. Not only are they supportive, they are all attentive to your form, encouraging, and helpful when it comes to accommodating injuries. Sheri will give you the hardest core exercise of your life; Marcus will annihilate your legs; and Eva will literally kick your butt with a great glute workout. They all posses a deep well of knowledge regarding exercise science.

Every other instructor I’ve had has also been exceptional. It sounds like hyperbole, but I have not had a single bad class. Every single Fit Buddha instructor has been welcoming, kind and guides a challenging work out.

Within three months, routine classes at Fit Buddha have taught me to slow down and control my breath, has over all improved both my flexibility and my mind muscle connection, and changed my relationship to exercise. The only negative thing I have to say is I can’t pack up the studio and bring everyone with me when I’m on the road for work.

Eva and Marcus are fantastic as are the rest of the instructors, you can feel the love and energy they’ve put into the facility, equally to the individual attention they pay to each of us. So grateful to have pushed myself through the door to try something new. Not only I do feel mentally calm but focused too, I’ve had the added benefit of feeling noticeably better with a sciatica issue I’ve had for years. Namaste guys. So appreciate you. 🌻🙏😎

Love this place!! I especially love the classes taught by Eva!! She is so patient and helpful! I am somewhat new to reformer classes and the more I go, the more hooked I am getting. As an avid strength training/ CrossFit, triathlon, trail running athlete, this is an excellent way to change it up and is in no way easy!! The burn!! Wow!!!

I bought the 5 classes from Groupon to check it out and see if Pilates was for me. I had 0 experience and was definitely a little nervous to try it out. I cannot say enough great things about Fit Budda. From the very beginning Marcus made me feel super comfortable and invited. He’s amazing at teaching the class and paying attention to my movements to help me learn and make sure my form is correct. Ive taken a couple classes with other instructors and they are so great as well! I’m loving Fit Budda and am hooked on Pilates!

I love Fit Buddha! I purchased one of their introductory packages in mid-January and now am totally addicted! I've been a fan of the lagree pilates method (mega-reformer) and was stoked to discover that there was local studio (I drive from Ojai to Ventura almost 4x/week for their classes). The community there is awesome and I absolutely adore the classes with both the co-founders - Marcus and Eva Kettles. They're very supportive and genuinely provide a fantastic energy.

The lagree method is a serious work out. If you are looking for a practice that challenges you, supports your entire system, gets you lean and helps you to feel strong, then look no further!

The Fit Buddha workout has to be the best 40-minute workout there. I usually don't sweat much when I work out and I was drenched! I'm pretty fit and my legs were trembling after class, but I felt great! Wish there were a Fit Buddha in Santa Cruz!

So let's be real, I absolutely hate working out. I find that Fit Budha is an extremely effective workout that leaves my whole body feeling sore after. The instructors are very passionate and the class goes by quick. The mega-reformer is amazing. If you're on the fence about trying the class, you should just go for it. They have great first-time deals.

I just completed my 5th class with Fit Buddha and so far I LOVE the classes. I do the half spin and half Pilates and OMG it kicks my but. Spin class is full of energy and great music. This was my first time ever doing Pilates and I wasn’t sure what if i was going to like it. I was right I didn’t like it... I LOVED IT
You use so many muscles you normally don’t use while doing regular workouts. It’s challenging! I plan on coming back for sure ❤️

I LOVE FIT BUDDHA!! Pilates has changed my life! I’m a long time back pain sufferer, I pretty much had resigned to the idea that back pain was just a part of my life. First class I went to I almost canceled because of the back pain, but I didn’t want to disappoint my friend who was meeting me there. I was blown away at the fact that my back felt BETTER after the 40 minute workout. I was so blown away that I bought a package on the spot. Best decision of my life. After a month of going, my back pain is almost non existent, and I look and feel great! A huge THANK YOU to Eva and Marcus Kettle, the owners, who genuinely cheer you on and care about your progress. From my very first intro class now I'm going to be on my 6+ I've already seen a positive change in my body the instructors are phenomenal Mega former is a transformer of mind body and soul this is a great place great people glad I found them!!
