If you’re looking for an influencer-style, high-rep bootcamp workout, this studio might be for you, but if you’re looking for true Pilates this is not it.
I’ve been practicing reformer Pilates for about six months now. While I’m still a beginner, I’m very familiar with the fundamentals. If this had been my first Pilates experience, I would have run the other way and sworn off Pilates entirely.
I signed up for the LIT entry-level class with Andrea because I was looking for a more affordable studio, but my experience was filled with red flags.
1: I wasn’t greeted or checked in at all (you check in with an iPad). At every other studio I’ve visited, instructors take the time to ask new members about fitness level, reformer experience etc. None of that happened here.
2: During the class, the instructor only walked around twice. The rest of the time, she was doing the workout along with us. I believe a coach should be observing, correcting form, and guiding movement — not exercising beside the class for most of the time, especially at an entry level class.
The entire session felt more like a fast-paced fitness class than Pilates. Instead of controlled movements and mindful breathing, it was all “Go, go, go!” High reps, fast transitions, and poor form everywhere —which is a recipe for injury.
I left with a really poor impression, which was disappointing because the studio itself is beautiful and the prices are great. But unfortunately, FitCulture completely misses the mark when it comes to authentic Pilates.

Review for class with Pilar:
This place is horrible. The instructor didn’t greet a single person who walked in, didn’t introduce herself, and for the first 5 minutes we had no idea she’s even the instructor. Her energy was dull, boring, and rude. We did the weirdest moves ever that absolutely didn’t count as a workout. Everybody was confused and doing their own thing the entire time. She handed out the wipes 10 minutes before the end of class making us feel rushed to leave. She would tell us one set of instructions while doing something completely different with her reformer confusing everyone. Waste of time and money. We didn’t even end the class with any sort of cool down or stretch. NO FEET IN STRAPS? This happened at the redondo beach location too. It feels like whoever is training these instructors has no idea what they’re doing and teaching them garbage intentionally. Every time I leave a fit culture Pilates location I’m so frustrated for wasting my time and money. STAY AWAY FROM ALL FIT CULTURE PILATES LOCATIONS. This place needs to go out of business immediately

Fit Culture Pilates is hands down one of my favorite places to work out! The studio is beautiful, welcoming, and always super clean. I leave every class feeling stronger, more energized, and like I *really* got a great workout in. I especially love Deborah and Joanna’s classes—they always bring the extra burn in the best way possible! Whether you're new to Pilates or looking to level up, this studio has everything you need. Highly recommend!

This is a great Pilates studio for all levels. Every instructor I’ve had so far takes time to introduce the reformer to beginners and correct form, and all are very respectful of personal preferences (if you prefer not to be touched when being adjusted, if you prefer they turn their mic off when correcting your form, etc.). Parking can be a pain, give yourself an extra 10 min just to be safe.

This is the best place to listen to great playlists, challenge yourself on the versatility of the reformers, and get fit!
I joined Pilates because I hadn’t worked out in years (decades TBH) and as a result, suffer from lower back pain and horrible carpal tunnel in both wrists and arms. Despite that, I am able to work out and keep up. The modifications offered always seem to work well. I love the low risk of getting hurt versus other types of exercise. It’s pricey but you get your money’s worth. And guess what? I deserve it and so do YOU!
ALL of the instructors here are simply. amazing! I’ve been a part of FCP for just 4 months and have been noticing the changes in my body, my posture, and my weight! Who doesn’t love all these benefits!!
They offer classes daily and at various times so I can always make it to a class.
The location itself is clean and organized. The area is safe and there’s plenty of foot traffic enjoying walks, dinner, or some other activities. Rarely is finding parking an issue. There’s also a parking structure across from FCP.

I love this Pilates studio! I started off nervous because I had no idea what I was doing but all of the instructors here are super helpful in explaining what to do. They walk around and help you with your form which is super helpful! If it’s your first time I recommend taking a class with Andrea O, she explains the whole machine for first timers and I wish I had that for my first class!

Love Fit Culture! Before starting I was on the search for a good place to go and this place did not disappoint at all. I started off very very new to pilates and it can be very intimidating to start anything off but Fit Culture was very welcoming! The studio is also very cute!! I started off with the LIT class and eventually tried the All Levels class. The instructors are super great, helpful with corrections, and also super helpful with tips after class. I love how comfortable they make you feel, the vibe and a greats sweat when leaving a class. Excited for the growth and progress!

I joined this studio January of this year and it’s something I look forward to every week. After the first two months of coming in only 1/week I changed my membership to 2/week now. Big shout out to Andrea and Kim for always having a great class. I’ve been content with the results I’m seeing and can’t wait to continue going. Would definitely recommend if you are thinking of starting your Pilates journey!

Had my first class today (May 2024) and took LIT with Joanna! It's been a couple of years since my last reformer class and Joanna was very helpful with a refresher of the machine and making sure that she provided levels for those in the class. My main concern with past studios is not feeling challenged enough and I definitely can say I was beyond satisfied with this class. It was easy to follow while still learning new (to me) moves. Looking forward to my next class!

New to pilates here and I couldn't have picked a better studio to start! The studio itself is super cute and it's in a little walkable plaza area with cafes, stores, and restaurants. So far I have taken their beginner classes (LIT) and I found them to be challenging and but fun thanks to the instructors shout-out to Andrea, Joann, and Kim! Looking forward to trying their other classes in the future!

I have started going to this Pilates studio in January 2024. It has completely transformed me mentally and physically. I have pushed my body beyond what I thought it was capable of doing. The instructors are all great at giving you modifications and correcting your form. My favorite instructor has to be Kim. Her classes are tough but if you don’t push yourself you won’t see any changes. She’s super friendly and knows her stuff. I especially love her cycle and cardio classes.

I'm new to pilates and have been coming here for 2 months now (1-2x per week). The workouts are fun and effective! I definitely break a sweat every workout and my muscles feel sore afterward which tells me that the workouts are putting me to work towards my health and fitness goals. Currently this is about the only intentional form of exercise I do which makes Fit Culture Pilates that much more valuable to me. Plus, every instructor I've had has been welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend!

I have been coming to Fit Culture since January and have been so happy with the results I’m seeing. I feel stronger and have built so much of my endurance from taking their classes.
All the instructors are wonderful. They are each very different and bring their own style to each class. This makes each class so much fun and a great workout every time! If you’re starting out, I recommend a LITT class.

Absolutely love Fit Culture in Torrance. Started mid March (this year) with 1-2 classes a week. Currently up to 3 classes per week.
Love all the classes they have to offer but my favorite is definitely the All Levels Class. It's a well rounded class and they always give you modifications if needed.
All the teachers here are amazing. Each one has a different teaching style but regardless of which teacher and day you choose, YOU WILL feel that burn lol. I'm happy to say that thanks to Joanna, Sarah, Ashley and Kim I'm able to fit into my "pre mommy" pants
The teachers are great, the playlists get you pumped and the overall vibe will make you obsessed with Pilates.

I started taking the reformer pilates class a couple months ago and LOVE everything about this studio. Each class I’ve taken has been different, so nothing gets boring or repetitive. I usually take Sarah’s class and she is awesome! Super encouraging and helpful! I definately recommend checking this cute studio in Old Torrance out.

My first visit at FC Pilates in Old Torrance was nothing short of incredible! It was the perfect start to the morning. I found a parking spot right in front of the studio and right away noticed the cute aesthetics as soon as I pulled up. The studio was clean and looked like a lot of love was poured into their practice. I did the intro LIT class and the instructor was so welcoming and helpful. I was walked through the moves and was coached on proper form. It was the best workout class I’ve taken to date! I cannot wait to go back and give it another go as a Pilates newbie.

Whether you're a beginner or a pro, this is the studio for you. My journey with Pilates started here and I am absolutely loving it! I've had 5 different instructors and all of them have been awesome. They will help you with your form and make you feel comfortable with the reformer. I was always intimidated to try Pilates and now I wish I had started earlier. Fit Culture has a wonderful environment and I encourage all to try it. I started with a Groupon and now have a membership. Thank you Fit Culture and your rock star team!

I've been going to Fit Culture consistently 2-3 times a week for the last six months and it has been life changing! I enjoy the workouts because they are challenging and always different. I have noticed dramatic changes in my body and I also feel so much lighter compared to the tension I would experience when I only weight-lifted. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are interested in pilates!

Honestly as someone who was treated terribly in other studios in the beach cities it was nice to get such a welcoming feeling since I was still new to the whole Pilates scene. I’ll be for sure coming back.

I experienced racial discrimination at business. The instructor of the 8:15am class on Thursday. I booked the class via ClassPass. This was to be my first Pilates class. The class was listed as All levels…with no mention of required apparel. I show up and i explain that I was a first timer. She points to a machine and says “red, blue, green”. I said I don’t know that that means. She goes “ look for it, I don’t have the time to stop and help you”. I was taken aback by her rudeness but I had traveled a distance to be there and just wanted to get what I came for so I didn’t take it personal. So once I figured out what she meant, I sat on the machine and she says “do you have grip socks” and I say no there was no mention of required clothing on the booking. So she kneels down to get face level with me and says “well hun it looks like you’re going to have to reschedule because you can’t take the class without socks and I don’t have the time to help you”. I said actually, I don’t feel welcomed here and I would like to cancel and be refunded my credits. She said well you’ll need to figure that out in the app. It was the rudest thing I’ve experienced in awhile.
If the course requires socks, how is it that she was teaching it without socks?

Great instructors and fun music to get the session going. Good for all levels of experience. I came in wanting to try something new and Jenny showed me around and guided me through the reformer. There are different types of classes for anyone to join and their online booking portal is easy to navigate and book a class. The Torrance location is nice and convenient because there's other things to do and places to eat that is walking distance after your class!
