Better then a planet fitness. decent amount of various machines and good range of weights on dumbells. If you cant get the job done here, then you wont get it done anywhere else. Worth consideration if your in the area

staff was great but unfortunately this was one of the most frustrating experiences out of over 100+ gyms ive ever visited. its all underground and super stuffy with zero A/C. there's barely anyone here but they blast the music to the point where it physically hurts the ears. the entire gym and the equipment is stuck in the 90s so its all very rusty, dirty, and/or broken. this gym is almost an exactly copy of one I saw in a ghetto of Mexico City. i want to clean the hard stain out of the bench so i tried to get some cleaner but it was broken so i just didnt bother with cleaning or using that bench. there was also a cute little dog running around the gym floor so I was stressed the entire time for its safety around heavy dropping weights. Instagram girls dancing and hogging machines taking endless selfies. this is just from one visit imagine coming here everyday at 5pm. this might all be worth it for $15 a month

Its a Firrrrrme gym. I come from Boyle Height just to work out there. It is not that far..people are just...ahha you know..haha.
Plus, the people there treat you like you belong. Highly recommended...if you are serious

Fantastic gym to work out in, all the staff members are friendly and supportive! Best gym in LA, they have a lot of different machines. THIS IS NOT A BASIC GYM. I highly recommend it to anyone who is starting their fitness journey they will not disappoint you! If I could I would rate them 10 stars and more.

Dishonest gym. I was in town for 3 days TDY for the military and wanted to work out. I visited Fit Nation and asked for a day pass. They said it's cheaper to pay for 1 month than 3 days. I said great, but I don't want a membership, I don't live in California. The woman at the desk said it's not a membership. The. She asked me to sign the waiver for injuries and that kinda thing. I signed their digital pad on the far side of the counter, unable to see the screen. Never did I think that any respectable business would cheat me by applying my signature to a recurring, no limit gym membership and then proceed to charge me every month. I called my credit card company and stopped the unauthorized charges. Now they have accumulated all this debt and want to try and damage my credit and my ability to buy a home. I've called their HQ, they are useless. They tell me to call the gym, where they haven't answered the phone in the 10+ times I've called. I can't even small claims them since I don't live in California! I'm left with no option but to hire a LA attorney to sue. Seems to be the only way to stop this unbelievable fraud. FAFO.

A bunch of thieves who've been charging me for last 4 months after I canceled my membership over a year ago!
The owner said that they froze our account while we specifically told them that we wanted to cancel when went there over a year ago! This is nothing new and I have seen this scam a lot of times, they tell you that they have cancelled your membership but they just freeze it in hope when it's activated again, you won't notice and they can charge you for no reason!

Be prepared to pay 30 dollars for a day pass. We drove from Riverside to check it out, day pass was a bit pricy. The gym itself was decent had all the machines, two story with cardio upstairs and more equipment outside. Had a good workout.

This is my favorite gym by far that I've been to in my region!!! Love the vibes, the environment, the music, and best of all the people! They have a CLEAN facility with equipment not available in cookie cutter gyms like 24 Hour Fitness or LA Fitness.
I definitely recommend a membership!!!

Update!!!
The new location is Fire! So much more space and I love the upstairs where sleds and TRX as well as other equipment are available. The addition of a separate space for the heavy leg day equipment so you don't have to walk far, and the outside space for flipping tires, etc rounds it out!!!

Love this place! There’s so many different machines to choose from, even if it’s busy you’ll find something to do. The restrooms are coed and are always clean. Everyone seems to take care of everything. The staff is beyond nice. This has become my 2nd home. I really enjoy coming here. The music is always in point!

If you are looking for an old school heavy iron gym to push yourself, then this is your spot. If you are looking for a place to do cardio, you are best to look somewhere else. The music is blasting. There is no A/C so it can get very warm, but that means no getting cold between sets. Lots of motivation of everyone else around bettering themselves... not a lot of guys on "thumbday" stuck with their noses in their phones. If you are in the area and want a feel of the environments of old school bodybuilders like Arnold used to train in, then you gotta check out Fit Nation.

No air conditioner, parking lot is tiny, cardio equiptment is from the flinstones. Trainers can kick you off instantly if you are in the middle of your workout for their personal use. I read a comment below about drugs and from what I seen, in my experiences here: seems like the people working here allow the facility to be a drug hangout. The biggest issue is the Membership; it is expensive just to workout at a single location. Joined the new LA fitness and it's the best thing I've done to reach my fitness goals and if i go out of town I can go to any local club

Great gym! Smaller than an LA or 24 but the atmosphere is amazing. You’ll be surrounded by motivated individuals. In the mornings, it’s pretty empty so you’ll have a whole gym to yourself pretty much. You’re surrounded by motivational imaged as well as the people around you. No judgments here. Felt welcomed and comfortable here. The owners are always present and eager to answer any questions you may have. The training staff is amazing as well! If you’re also looking for competition prep/ posing help this is the place to go.
