This is my local gym where I go to use the weight machines. I don't expect much from my membership and I really only use the weight machines. They have a range of machines, from older to newer, almost always working. They generally have enough of the machines available when it's moderately busy and at some times it's super relaxed/empty. The gym is fairly clean and smells clean. I've always had a pleasant experience here even though it isn't my most amazing facility.

Always greeted with a friendly smile, this is a very affordable gym. Lots of equipment, availability is better during non-peak hours. They make an effort to clean everything. I appreciate when they don't vacuum while I'm there working out. Check it out!

Previously known as "Fitness Evolution" " Fit Republic " is it's reincarnation of the prior after disatrerous lack of corporate management which resonates once again in "Fit Republic". Did not receive a company name change email, text or snail mail for the new debt authorization from the old business to the new business (kinda really illegal to continue debting my account after changing ownership) "Fit Republic" has not learned from their previous mistakes. Only cosmetic lime green paint changes and douchey motivation slogans (like lipstick on a pig, unless you're into Maybelline Swine..not judging you) The gym is still dirty, old equipment with no maintenance, broken machines, missing stack pins, no cleaning spray or paper towel dispensers to wipe down equipment (before and after sets) Mens bathroom is filthy (cracked urinal for over a year still hasn't been replaced) shower area has scale and calcium deposits (they've obviously never heard of daily CLR and anti scale spray maintenance...Clorox) Free weights found all over the gym. Nobody on staff reprimands customers or personal trainers in unsafe gym use which is rampant. (trip and fall lawsuit anyone?) Customers doing push ups, lunges, curling bars and free weights left on the floor in the aisles (far away from the freeweight room where they should be) There's always an eye opener at this gym and in the entire chain!!! One positive note, most of the front end staff are friendly.

Tyrell and staff are super friendly and welcoming. I’ve been a member for a year now. Great gym w generally nice people - only gripe is I wish they would fix the men’s sauna - would be nice to use. Overall excellent for the monthly sub. Highly recommend!

Basic neighborhood gym for $21/mo. However, they keep taking away services that were originally included in the monthly fee, such as workout classes, and now have them as costly add-ons.
They are slowly updating the interior from when it was Bally's. Changes names every 3 years.
Gets a B- for equipment maintenance and selection, but is better than 24 hr Fitness.

I joined this gym a couple of months ago, and although I tried the equipment sparingly here and there, I have consistently attended their circuit training classes. I know they have few coaches for these classes, but I've only taken the class with Isaiah. I hope he will stick with these classes because he is a great instructor, extremely motivating and bursting with positive energy. He pushes his students a little more every class, and he is the greatest cheerleader one can wish for. I had days when I managed to fit in the last class at 7.30 when maybe I was a bit down after a tough day at work. But once you get in and he starts the class, he finds a way to keep you focused only on your exercises while making sure he throws in a joke or a high five...something to keep you going when you are out of breath:). These people there are rare, and when I find them, I would like to let others know because they deserve a great review. If I could give him ten stars, I would not think twice! Other than that, the gym is spacious with lots of equipment, but I have been to fancier, bigger, more modern gyms where I was not able to stay motivated and be consistent with my workout. However, since finding Isaiah's class, I feel a bit stronger every day not only physically but mentally too. Thank you, Isaiah. I hope one day you will have your own studio maybe...your hard work must not go unnoticed.

I seriously recommend this gym. The meridian ave branch is awesome. It is really clean and has a good ventilation system.All equipments are new and from the good brands. The new manager is fantastic, she is very social energetic and caring about the members and the gum has changed a lot (much more cleaner) after she is in charge of it. By the way her (manager) name is Concetta Gardner.

I went to this gym for about 6 months and it was the worst gym experience ever. One the staff is rude and unhelpful. Two the parking lot is gross but it reflects the inside because the building is not good either. Keep it maintained. Lastly there is this guy there that thinks he owns the place and just does whatever he wants. He's super rude and intimidating makes you now want to work out there.

Fair enough, needs a lots of attention of the owners, restrooms needs some work and and some of the equipments at the free lift weight have some missing parts, last some of the staff members they feeling like gods, they should make feel the people welcomed, instead of that they just talk to certain customers, and see others over the shoulder, besides that it is convenient and cheap.

My gripes come more with the company that runs this place than the staff. The staff is actually very polite and a good resource for understanding machines and your body. But this is one of the sleaziest gyms I've been a part of. Lots of fees that are hidden within the contract, and they are constantly trying to maximize how much money they can take from their consumers. It's almost insulting. If you have the resources, its a decent gym, but as a working college student, I'd rather just go to the school gym.

If it weren't for the substantial upgrade to the equipment and interior space (since the Bally's days), this place would get full star lower. Previously, the locker room/shower area was all but unusable, they were so nasty. This has not changed and I was shocked. I used the shower once - last night - for the first and last time. Scrub that damn thing down... every day, people!

Great staff, equipment is cleaned daily around the noon time. I'm easily able to get in, finish my workout, and get out. I'm bummed that they closed the Evo-Fit room because I actually enjoyed going in there to do squats when there were no classes being held.

Used to come to the gym late nights, but due to my change of schedule I started to go towards the mornings and to my surprise it isn't so busy!

Gym offers are plain and simple, nothing too spectacular and nothing too bad. This gym is definitely a place where you can fit your mid-workout in in the mix of your busy schedule. Workers and trainers here are more than friendly and if any questions may arise they're the first to answer.

Plenty of machines to exercise and water stations.
One thing I should add is that bathrooms can be a bit understocked and dirty (this would happen in the evenings). But now that I attend mornings, they seem to be placed well.

Overall great gym, have been coming here for my workouts since January with the basic $9.99 membership, no complains here!

Tried this gym for the day! Love that they offer the day at no cost to me! They gave me the option to try the gym prior to signing up too. No hard sales (like I felt at 24 hour fitness.)

Trying the gym a few times at different times is important to me to see how it runs, prior to signing my life away.

The (big teddy bear) guy at the front desk was exceptionally helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
Pricing was reasonable for what they have to offer.

Im considering this gym membership once I return from a month in Europe.

I decided to join this gym with a good friend. We spent a day going to different gyms and once we got to this one and took a great tour from Scott we literally walked out and walked back in and joined. We not only joined the gym but loved the Evofit classes we signed up right away.

The staff are so welcoming and personable. I was paired with John the Fitness Manager to do an orientation and decided to have him kick my but for the next six months. I now love going to the gym and have some one who pushes me out of my comfort level AND I have muscle I never thought I could have!

Love this gym!! The classes are great; especially ones taught by Joleen! There's always an open treadmill when I need one and the weight room is fully stocked. I signed up for the $20/month package; totally worth it! I attend classes 3 times/week, strength train in the weight room 1-2 times per week, plus hit the treadmill 2-3 times a week. I definitely get my money's worth! If I had one complaint, it would be the one time that I was charged for an extra month of group training that I didn't want, it did take some time for the paperwork to go through, and I had to follow up a few times with the guy taking care of it for me, but it got done.

I have been going for a few months now and this is only location I have tried so far. I have been pleased with the staff and the trainers all seem friendly. While they don't have a lot of selection of classes , they do have a few I like, but they need to have more for people who don't get off work until 5pm . The showers could use a makeover but overall I enjoy working out here

BIG LIER and AWFUL customer service. They have pushed me to take personal trainee in the first session, I asked them for one months, they get me electronic sign for 3 months. They have never gave me a copy of contract. And removed money from my account and never gave back me.
They have removed several months from bank account without my permission. They told me we will give you back but they have never done!
I am going to complain from them and never come back there again.

Horrible customer service. The front fat guy is RUDE. The Zumba schedule is a huge hot mess. I say hot because I enjoy it so much but after showing up now for the third time and there's either no Zumba teacher or it already started because no one bother to announce the new schedule.
