At Fit SF we can deliver a safe, & effective workout with or without equipment. Our specialty is not specializing. Routine is the enemy of progress. Our programs are varied, progressive, & geared toward improving any fitness goal. As trainers, we are driven by our passion for fitness & desire to share our experience & knowledge with others anytime the opportunity arises so that our clients remain interested & stimulated, which helps ensure they stick with the program — & with us ;)

Can't say enough good things about John and Fit SF! I have been working with John for about 10 months and have lost 40lbs of fat while gaining muscle. You should work with John if you a) are committed to getting in shape b) can take constructive criticism c) want to achieve continuous sustainable positive results. DONT work with John if a) you are looking to be coddled b) are sensitive to criticism c) are not being honest with yourself about doing the hard stuff to get in the best shape of your life!
John will push you to make sure you are giving everything you can, and if you are committed to this I guarantee you will surprise yourself with what you are capable of. As a bonus, the equipment is all new and the studio is immaculate . Haven't worked with the other trainers, but they all seem great and able to motivate their clients to get the most out of their exercise routines. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I do not know where to begin when it comes to training with John at FIT SF. Since making the decision to go with John, I have not once regretted it. I am not one to be coddled, closely monitored, and beat down with the science and position changes. I told him I know what it takes to lose the weight. I just need someone to meet me where I am, increase intensity as I become stronger and leaner, and be a general motivation to me when I am not in the studio. In just 6 weeks, I lost 29 lbs of fat mass while gaining 24 lbs of muscle mass at an overall 10% decrease in body fat. When I joined, I was dealing with postpartum back and groin pain along with diastasis recti. John is not one to babysit. I believe he knew my ailments would become a mental roadblock for me so he challenged me constantly. He knew what I was capable of before I knew what I was capable of. Some days, I even surprised him! I am now faster and more energetic. My overall quality of life has drastically improved. I thought my body was changed forever after having 2 kids within 2 years. I am thoroughly impressed with what I have accomplished with John as my coach. Not to mention, the studio is IMMACULATE.

Trainer/amazing health coach Mike Barrios is fantastic! He keeps me working strong as a chiropractor, helping me reach my best performance with my shoulders, and the rest of my body for long days of gardening and bunions with hiking. Thank you!

I’ve been training with John for almost two years and am in the best shape of my life. I think John works really well for people like me who don’t want to be coddled and want to be pushed to do our best. John also has a great personality and it’s just fun to spend the morning with him.

The gym itself is really clean and well equipped. All the trainers are friendly and have a great rapport. Love working out here!

I was skeptical when my wife gave me personal training sessions; I had been exercising my whole life on my own. But John Fernandez is fantastic. He squeezes into 60 minutes a routine that makes you feel like you've worked out for 2 hours by keeping multiple muscle groups engaged in every exercise. He's very creative; even after many sessions, he continued introducing new routines every time we met. Our whole family has trained with him and for at least a year we were showing other family members ways to "engage your core". Great trainer!
