Fit Theory is specifically a personal training and bootcamp studio designed around the concept that workouts and fitness are different for each person. We work with all ages, levels and goals, treating each person to their own style of goal attainment. Nice compact 30 minute sessions fit conveniently into any schedule, and sessions can be booked/rebooked within a few hours to allow for flex in the day. By design, the studio is private, clean and void of crowds making it truly a different gym experience with care to retain all the purpose. No one regrets leaving the gym.

It is probably the first time that I have been able to consistently work on my training without skipping and giving up because of injuries, or just lack of motivation.
Training with Candy has been challenging for sure , but also very fun. She keeps switching the workouts depending on where I’m at ofcourse which I like. I’m seeing results, and improvements in strength and things that bothered me day to day like my lower back pain.

The lady who picked up their phone was unbearable and unbelievably rude!
They were rude right from my first call. Then she hung up on me when I asked her to stop being rude. Then she lied about why she hung up on me
And now her response to my review is that I was harassing them lol. Instead of being a proper service company and apologizing for bad service. People who dont know how to deal with customers need to quit or be fired. And u also have been reported my friend.

I joined Fit Theory about eight years ago, determined to stick to my New Year’s resolution of exercising regularly and addressing my lower back pain—and I couldn’t have made a better choice!
From day one, I was impressed by the personalized training approach. Each session is tailored to your physical condition, with a gradual increase in intensity. Workouts are challenging yet always within your ability, leaving you feeling accomplished and energized. Beyond the regular training, we also participate in special games invented by Candy a few times a year. These fun challenges not only push your limits but also create a wonderful sense of camaraderie among everyone.
Candy is truly exceptional—personable, experienced, and skilled at working with people of all ages and fitness levels. She has cultivated an amazing community where everyone feels welcome and supported.

Candy has been a great trainer and within few weeks of training with her, I started seeing great improvements in strength and stamina. She is really great at finding your weak areas and providing customized exercises. She switches up the exercises making it always new, fun and challenging. Fit theory has been life changing for me! Candy, the owner and trainer, has helped me become so much more confident and strong. It’s always easy to schedule and the gym has every piece of equipment you could hope for. I’ve been going for about a year and a half and can’t believe how much I have accomplished for my fitness goals! On top of all of that, the trainer runs a tight ship, so you don’t have to worry about macho nonsense, messy spaces, entitlement, or other issues some gyms have.

You can find much much better bootcamp programs in the Bay Area. With this high ratings I had some expectation but unfortunately found the experience significantly below expectations.
1. The trainer did not introduce herself and did not ask our names or injuries before starting.
2. Trainer did not introduce the program, and the only instruction we received was “follow that person ahead of you”.
3. Trainer did not explain or demonstrate any of the movements before or during workout. I was left following whatever the other customer ex did without much context or insight if I was doing it correctly.
4. I had a wrist injury a few days ago and could not press down on uneven surfaces. When it came to push-ups on a bar I asked the trainer for alternative postures, her response was a flat “just do it”. When I explained I had an injury, she responded with a condescending tone “that’s why the bar is so high” (indicating that the movement was easy to perform). I was unpleasantly surprised in that moment for this response and attitude.
5. Program design was not optimized, without explanation on what to pay attention to in each movement and no rest between movements (not HIIT), no explanation on what part each movement trains. And the logic behind sequence of movements is unclear to me.
I strongly recommend prospective customers to explore other studios in the area given my poor experience here.

Starting out or getting back into working out can feel pretty overwhelming. But, this studio? It's a game changer. Candy knows her stuff and has a way of making personal training feel super approachable. I won't lie, I was really intimidated when I first walked in, it'd been forever since I'd done any real exercise. But a few months down the line, I'm stronger and actually look forward to my workouts. Also, 30 minutes might not sound like much, but you'll definitely feel it afterwards. If you’re hesitating, I’d say just try personal training with Candy for one month. It’s worth it!

I found Fit Theory about 2 years ago. My first impressions of the studio is how clean and spacious the space is. It’s easy for me to come directly from work, change, workout and then shower at the gym if I’m headed off to dinner. The main trainer, Candy, is able to synthesize your workout into half an hour to make the most use out of your time. She targets the areas you’re most interested in improving while sneaking in cardio and maintaining muscle mass. Candy offers flexible scheduling in a comfortable environment that is never crowded.

I started personal training with Candy in January 2023. As a sedentary person who was on the computer all day, I knew I needed to become more fit since I kept getting tired doing the simplest tasks. From the very first day, Candy has been communicative, flexible, and very knowledgeable. Her studio has welcoming vibes and the other people who attend her studio are very friendly. Every session I had with Candy was intense and always made me feel like I was out of breath. She makes very personalized workouts, and she makes adjustments based on what she notices in your workouts. Candy is also very flexible in scheduling. If something urgent comes up the morning of your workout, then you can text her and be able to move your workout time or date. When I visited my parents after starting my personal training with Candy, my dad said that "Wow, you look good, have you been working out?" which is a massive compliment coming from my dad. That compliment boosted my confidence and made me want to become even more active. I attribute much of my motivation and gains to Candy. If you need a supportive, knowledgeable and flexible personal trainer who provides very intense and meaningful training, look no further than Candy.

Getting a membership at Fit Theory was one of my best fitness decisions. Candy, the owner and trainer, has helped me understand and work through a fitness plan that is personalized to push me to my limit, so that I'm always improving while also not injuring and setting myself back.
Candy works continuously with me to take stock of my goals, and to set milestones to achieve those goals over time. She constantly educates me on improving my form, and on strengthening both the muscles that "look good" and the ones important for my balance and mobility. Her game-days every 3 months provide great checkpoints to motivate me by showing how much better I've become.
The gym is very well-stocked and well-maintained, with modern equipment and a clean environment. It's in a great, accessible location. Scheduling sessions is simple and straightforward, and I can start my day early in the morning with a workout before heading to work.
After having joined Fit Theory, yes, I've lost my 15 Pandemic Pounds over the last year or so. More importantly, I've been able to lay a stable foundation to go much further beyond that initial goal in terms of strength, stamina, mobility, and a healthy weight, and I am thankful to Candy and Fit Theory for that.

I waited a year to write this because I wanted to see if I achieved results while sticking to a "schedule". I have to say that Fit Theory went above and beyond any expectations I had going into it. Not only have I lost 20 lbs but it was enjoyable to do it! Candy makes sure that every one of your workouts is tailored to where you are while keeping it challenging and fun! I have never been bored or felt in a rut in my routine the last year at all. The amenities and flexibility are great and it is SUPER CLEAN. worth every penny of the investment in yourself!

I started working out here 3 months ago. Primary reason was that I am coming back from 18 months of no strength training due to Covid combined with a wrist surgery that had been delayed a few times. Wanted to make sure I was fit before getting serious about tennis again
This has been great for me. Candy gives a well balanced workout while also working on areas that need focus due to my layoff. It's working for sure. No issues playing tennis. And...i love the flexible scheduling. Depending on the week I can schedule what works for me rather than fixed time(s)

Fit Theory is a clean, well-stocked studio with a pleasant setting. The scheduling is flexible and the times provided are very convenient to all schedules. The equipment is top quality, the location is convenient and the parking is ample.
Candy is a wonderful trainer. She plans my workout and tells me what to do, which is what I need. She knows my weak spots and helps me work on strengthening them. She counsels and guides me with my overall fitness plan, teaching me stretches to do at home to overcome my problem areas.

I have had a difficult time finding a good personal trainer. Either it has not been a good fit personality-wise or I could not find a trainer who was available during my needed times. The other problem I was having is my schedule is sometimes unpredictable so I was losing money because of the 24 hour cancelation policy. As an alternative to a personal trainer I started going to a morning boot camp class which was good but a few minor injuries made me realize that an hour is a bit long for a HIIT style workout (for me). Then I found Fit Theory and all my problems were solved. It's a custom 30 minute, fairly intense, calorie burning, muscle building workout that really does work. At first I was not sure 30 minutes was enough, but trust me it is. What is also great is the trainer Candy - she really knows her stuff and seems to be dialed in to what you need. She is friendly and easy to work with but she also makes sure you don't slack off. Another great thing about Fit Theory is you can change your workout time last minute and you don't get charged! What a concept! Smart! I highly recommend Fit Theory.

I feel fortunate to have met Candy, the business owner and my trainer. She is very friendly and kind to me, and as another reviewer mentioned, with no pretense. She is beautiful inside out and knowledgeable about what she does. I have some injuries and she was able to accommodate that, and the training indeed strengthened me. She is so kind that when I have unexpected difficulties with my reservation, willing to reschedule me. It's also very private and not many people around -- as I am not very fond of lots of people in the same room, I really love it here.
