I've been working with Joe V as my trainer for the past 3 months. He is outstanding. Very knowledgeable about all the equipment. He listened to me regarding what I wanted to work on and helped design a program to keep me motivated. I had developed golfer's elbow prior to starting with Joe and he listened to me and my concerns regarding certain exercises that aggravated the injury. He modifed some of the workouts to still work the muscle while minimizing the impact on my elbow. He was very flexible if I needed to modify my training schedule. He also helped me with my nutrition to help maximize my workouts to gain muscle and lose fat. In just 12 weeks I dropped 3% body fat. I highly recommend him as a trainer and he's just a great guy and easy to talk to.

The experience has been comfortable all the way. Braeden signed me up and was transparent and patient, and my trainer, Mia, has been wonderful! She listens to me and designs workouts that are reasonable and beneficial. She’s friendly and personable, and the time just flies! I am incredibly disappointed with the manner by which the staff handles issues, namely, the club manager, Teddy. I subscribed to a Fitness 19 membership in Simi Valley before the pandemic, only for spin and pilates classes. During the pandemic, although the club was closed, I continued to pay my dues to support the club. When the Simi club closed, my membership was automatically transferred to Moorpark (without my consent) - it is stated on the contract within 15 miles, although it was never explained to me. My spouse handled our bills and was unaware that the club had closed, so we continued to pay. I wasn't aware until Sept 2024 that I was still paying for dues to a club I have never stepped foot it. I called corporate office, who advised me to speak to the club manager. I went into the Moorpark club and spoke with Teddy, the club manager, and explained that I never authorized the transfer and have no intention of using a club in Moorpark since I also had membership with 24hr Fitness, Gold's Gym and a Lagree studio in Simi Valley and asked to cancel my membership. Teddy informed me that I could not get a refund for paid dues, so I swallowed the loss since my husband, not questioning the charges, was my oversight. My husband developed cancer in his brain, is receiving treatment, and I became preoccupied and failed to see that Fitness 19 continued to charge me the monthly dues, even though I had explicitly explained my intention to cancel my membership, both on the phone to corporate and in person with the club manager, Teddy. I called my credit card and asked to close my account. 2 months later, I received a call from a club employee, saying I was overdue on my payment. I told her this account should have been closed, and she told me to talk to the club manager. For a 2nd time, I returned to the club and again spoke with Teddy. He asked me if I signed a cancelation form, and I told him it was his responsibility to inform me that I needed to sign a form. He said he couldn't close my account until I paid my past due amount. I told him I never even stepped foot in this gym, and he told me that there was a check-in for July 7. I have never set foot in this gym - so clearly, there are blatantly fraudulent activities, and I challenge the gym to review the details of that check-in. I ultimately paid the past due amount, just so I can close my account, for my peace of mind. Having the peace of mind to deal with my husband's cancer is worth the loss. In times of great suffering, like covid or cancer, compassion and kindness show integrity. My experience at this club, unfortunately, has been the exact opposite.

In the short time that I’ve been going to Fitness 19, I’ve quickly learned that Fitness 19 is THAT gym. The staff are amazing and very knowledgeable in any questions you may have regarding equipment or any healthy beverages/snacks you may want after a workout. I personally love taking the classes!! ALL The instructors they have help with any and all exercises you may want to improve or strengthen. I’m partial too (Respectfully 🙂‍↕️) Kristen is where you want to go for that Beyoncé backside (Booty&Core) 💅 Brandy makes you feel like you can fight….anyone.💪🏽 (Not condoning violence or anything, she’s really nice 😊) (Strength&Cardio Sculpt) And Sarah takes your legs and body to the TOP🚴🏽‍♀️ (cycle). So happy I found a place to keep my fitness journey consistent with all these amazing people 🏆🏆

This is my favorite gym! I joined because they have a huge turf area for stretching and it’s the perfect place for my CrossFit style workouts with rowers, kettlebells, wallballs etc… but I also love bodybuilding. They have it all! They just added The Vault which is a more private room with lifting platforms and a ton of high end leg day machines. I do so much in there and it’s quiet with good music and lighting for photo ops. The spin class with Brandy is the best I have ever been to.. she spins to the beat of the music making the workout so fun and unique to any others.
The staff is always on point and helpful. They greet everyone and provide great customer service. It’s my “home” gym. Especially coming from a CrossFit style community… I thought I would have to forgo that feeling of community. But the staff and the people here make me feel comfortable and welcome. As a female, I feel safe here knowing the manager has put in the work to ensure all the staff that works here cares about the members and has made the gym their home as well.

Warning! When your annual contract expires, be sure to get a signed written cancellation agreement. My wife went to cancel in January, 25 and did not get a written notice. They kept on charging our credit card for 5 months and refused to refund. We will continue to fight this through our bank as well as the Better Business Bureau.
