I have been a member of F19 since it took over for a former fitness facility located at F19's Walnut Creek location. There are far glitzier places to work out, but F19's Walnut Creek location has always served my purposes. I'm very sorry to have recently learned that F19 is closing in Walnut Creek. I will very much miss going there, as will many of the friends that I've made there. I really hope that in time another franchise leases the F19 facility and that it continues the location's long history (going back as long as I can remember) of being a local no-frills fitness facility. Should that happen, I will very much consider again becoming a member of the new franchise.

I’m a member there and it’s been countless times they don’t open on the time designated on their schedule, people wait outside at times for more than 15 minutes, this was the case on May 1st 2024. Get it together Fitness 19 or I’m switching to 24hr fitness.

I have mixed reviews about this particular Fitness 19 in Walnut Creek. I've had a Fitness 19 membership since 2014 and worked out at the Concord facility for many years until I decided to upgrade my membership. Since then I've tried the one over in Pleasanton as well as the one in American Canyon which are very nice and modernized! It's too bad the one over in Walnut Creek cannot be expanded! Although I have noticed that they did upgrade the equipment as well as the turf area near the front entrance. This gym kinda has high school gym vibes. It's very small and not much room for an extra
amount of people. On top of that it's a crapshoot (no pun intended) if the bathrooms will be clean or not. Half the time the ground is covered in water or the toilets are not flushed or just plain filthy! Luckily this gym is usually not very crowded which is a bonus I have to say so I'll give it that! Most of the time the staff is just hanging out with each other and not actually greeting people when they walk in. Makes me wonder if non members could easily walk in and just workout without anyone even noticing? They are approachable though so that's good. Especially when I had some questions regarding gym memberships. FYI at this time the lettering outside is falling apart which doesn't look good for this Fitness 19 location! That is why I'm giving this gym just 3 out of 5 stars. Very basic and gets the job done which is fine but wouldn't recommend any future people coming to this particular location.

I have recently had 2 knee replacements and wanted to continue strengthening my lower body with weight resistance machines.

This could be a great gym. Great price. Has everything you need to get a good workout. However they have just decided to stop cleaning. It's dirty. It's nasty. They now have roaches. I feel like I'm going to get sick working out in this environment. I am coming here to stay healthy. The floors are dirty. There is dust bunnies all over. I never see anyone clean anymore. A Girl would sometimes vacuum in the morning but i think she quit now. The employees just sit around talking to each other and that's all i see them do. Earlier this year there was black mold/mildew all over the walls. It took one customer getting a petition signed by the gym members and then going to the health department to get them to clean it. All their managers quit. They had a few nice people at the front desk very good at greeting you but that's about it. I tried to find a contact for fitness 19 to email instead of leaving a bad review here but it's impossible to find anyone to contact from their website. Please hire a cleaning crew. For the sake of your members health. I'm considering canceling my membership if they don't. This is the main reason why i left 24 hour fitness as well it's so gross and unhealthy to workout in these conditions.

The management was super rude and disrespectful in how they talked with me. They play the most annoying rap music so loud and pounding you can't think or listen to your own music in your headphones. It's annoying and takes away from what otherwise would be a quaint little gym. Not a comprehensive gym, it's small. I don't recommend Fitness 19 to anyone at any location. Such bad customer service and bad atmosphere.

So I came in and bought a month membership a few days ago. I came in to workout for my second time today and they requested proof of vaccination. This totally ruined my day because I Dieted expecting to workout tonight. They DID NOT EVEN TELL ME THE FIRST DAY THAT I NEEDED A VACCINE CARD OR PROOF OF A NEGATIVE TEST. This gym ripped me off and I'm going to get a refund ASAP. don't come here if your not Pro - vaccination.

4 stars for what it is -- an affordable neighborhood gym option. Much closer to a YMCA gym than Equinox or Bay Club, but it gets an extra star for having 2 squat racks and doubling up on some equipment.

This is a very good, basic gym. There is ample equipment; it usually not crowded; the staff is friendly and competent. They follow the rules about masking and vaccines, so you’re not exposed to anti-vaccine, anti-masking doofuses. Parking is a breeze and occasionally you’ll be lucky enough to get a spot at one of the car chargers.

Before the 2020 Covid 19 epidemic, I used another 24 hours gym on N Main Street that went bankrupt. Yes, as a bankruptcy the shape of any athlete is the way to lose everything or still be alive.
And that's how 19 fitness helped me to stay strong and motivated.
The club is small, but it has everything you need for different types of special training. Of course some Seniors are annoying, especially those who want to see the "mask" on your ways during cardio or supersets. It's even harder to get heart issues than to bankrupt any gym in the area ;) but the team at 19 Fitness is great, I want to celebrate everyone Omar especially. Guys are very friendly, professional and create an atmosphere of sport and achievement.

The staff and managers at this Fitness 19 gym are friendly and knowledgeable. Very responsive to requests for help on how to use equipment or clarification on technique. There is no waiting to use equipment since there are plenty of cardio and strength training machines. I don't use free weights yet, but other members do and appear to be happy.

These people trick customers. They are nice when you wanna join. I wanted to cancel right after my 1st year but they will trick you into saying you are going to be charged renewal fees anyways because you were late to cancel.

They’ll suggest you put the membership on hold instead saying you won’t be charged but they will charge you. Then when you go back asking they will lie about it to you saying that there is no such thing as hold.

This Fitness 19 is different from all the others because it has separate women's and men's locker rooms. It also has showers. All the staff members are super friendly and helpful. The issues with the air conditioner have been fixed. The hours are expansive to meet most people's needs. I have been working out here for 10 years and I love it because it has everything I need and is budget-friendly. Another plus is ample parking.

I ride my bicycle 60 to 100 miles a week, but ended up with knee issues that landed me in PT. Knowing I wouldn't keep up with the special knee exercises at home, I looked around for a gym for resistance training, primarily. I read the reviews of Fitness 19 here on Yelp, then went in to check it out. It's clean and super affordable, and while I have seen reviews saying there's no air conditioning, there's definitely at least SOME air conditioning. (I asked, and I can feel it blowing on me on the leg press.) I immediately signed up for training sessions with Fred, who has a background in sports medicine, and he's absolutely wonderful. A month into my membership and training, I cannot say enough great things about Fitness 19. I wish I'd done this sooner!
