2017: Amazed this place is still in business. As of April 2019 newly hired staff much better. Would be nice if management checked for inoperable machines; enforced putting back the weights being used and cleaning ones sweat ....much better staff. $10 /mo for old school gym not bad.

I go here because it's so cheap but to be honest I don't even think it's called Fitness Evolution. The organization, staff etc is a mess but it's a decent gym. Unfortunately it used to be twice as big but they closed their larger building because of (what I was told) an electrical fire.

I was confused where to go the first time I cane here. Sign is on one building actual gym is in another building. Set up is a little weird. You walk in and boom there's workout equipment. A small table to check in that one was at when I walked in. Found it odd that there is only a restroom and no locker rooms either. Had to switch to this location since the one by my house closed.

It has equipment, weights and cardio machines and a small basketball court. That's it. When I got my membership I was informed it was going to be under renovations. Only thing they've done it take things out. Closed sauna, empty pool, bad lockers, holes in the walls, mold everywhere, and a musk smell in the entire place. But it's only $10 bucks a month so what else can you ask for...

Gym was great as a small private gym. Got bought out and started to go down slowly. Everything in the gym is wearing down. Suana, steam room, jacuzzi, pool and even weight and cardio machine.

When i was in the shower, they turned off all of the lights and closed the gym without any annkuncement what so ever. I could have been locked inside if ut wasn't for the door only being closed on the outside. And when i cancelled my membership, they still charged me for another 2 months!! Don't get fooled!!

I am done with these place once my membership runs out. The trainers are nice but I don't know if it's management or corporate but nothing runs well. Out all the amenities that where the incentive for me to sign up and pay premium processing non are left the pool has been broken for months, the spa shut down the steam room broken for months and now the sauna has been shot off. In the training room equipment is taken out without notice making it harder to work out in groups. I would say I would contact corporate but there is no number to call and the email to reach them they never answer so don't waste your money here.

OK so I come here to work out and leave . why are people complaining about the place . The new building is open on the other side of the pool. Still if your upset because of financial reasons I can't speak on that. I haven't had those issues you only get hit with annual dues on date of sign up. But you are told all this up front. Yes there are no trainers for those that want them.People we all have been told you get what you pay for we know this. I'm sure it'll get better. Thank you 2 year customer

Walked for an hour to this gym. After walking in realized there wasnt any exercise equipment anywhere. Empty rooms. None of the staff mentioned anything. Confused. Not surprised. Worst gym in sacramento has hit an all time low. These 2 years of "renovations" is sad and pathetic

Smells really bad. Try to steal your money. Every month you have to "update" your card. In order to charge you twice. Not recommended. Their chain of branches aren't bad it's just this branch just suck balls.

Tried to cancell my membership 4 TIMES and they couldn't give me my refund. I even came in to make sure they have my information but yet again they gave me the run around. Horrible custermer service.

Very horrible experience here, they are a fraud. I got scammed on this location and got horrible customer service. They will put you on hold for a very long time and when you call back they will pick up and answer your call (if you're lucky) or maybe put you on hold again. With the scamming situation, Fitness Evolutions "operation manager" and also an employee there promised me that they'll help get my money back, they only tell you what you to hear to make you feel better and take more money from you. I did get my money back however it wasn't them that gave it back to me, i asked for help from a business. Even after i got my money back, they will send me text messages saying that i have a bill due; and the funny thing is they gave me two numbers for corporate and the numbers are not anything related to Fitness Evolution.

Conclusion: Fraud, Inconvenience, poor customer serivce, con-artist, etc.

Can't really compare to other gyms in the area, however any billing is a NIGHTMARE.
Everything is referred to corporoate that doesn't actually have an address. They overbill, take their time on refunds (if ever) and then try to get you with a termination fee (or more.)
Call corporate and don't expect a return call.
After 6+ months got them to consider everything paid and no termination fee, and termination after they really got a few hundred extra as they wouldn't unlock the account until it was all corrected.... all the while continuing to charge. I don't know how other Fitness Evolutions are, however since they are all the same corporate office, I guess the same. The staff AT the business were nice, however they always said their hands were tied.

WORST GYM EVER! STAY AWAY!
Terrible customer service, promised I would pay one price without any surprises, ended up being billed twice more with hidden fees. Would charge extra every month, I would come in and tell them there is a mistake, they would fix it and next month same thing!
Gym smells horrible, old broken equipment, strange for a NEW gym!
Tried closing my membership only to have them suck out more money. Its been 2 months now and my membership is still not terminated and still being billed. Guess once your in you can't get out. Doctors notice or DEATH certificate can only free you from the membership with an additional $100 termination fee!
