If you're looking for a solid, dependable place to get your workout done, this is it. I love having a place close to home to run over and get it done. If you're looking for frills and fancy amenities, don't go here. I do have concerns with some of the outdated equipment and safety but can't say I've seen or had any problems yet. A lot of rust and missing pins but I can't beat the price or the convenience. The 5:30 am crowd is focused and never feels too busy.

This gym is falling apart… Anthony the front desk guy seems to always have a problem when I forget my scanner card. Like everyone I forget my scanner maybe once or twice a week and he’s always irritated to sign me in when it’s his job. The equipment here is falling apart also if a machine is down don’t count on seeing it available for at least a month. I would be able to over see the equipment issues as I can understand it takes time for parts and equipment to come in but as far as Anthony’s poor attitude every-time I walk in that is why I’ll no longer be coming here. For $50/month membership there are far better gyms

Let's start by saying the gyms owner is a great person, Childcare morning Lady Michele is amazing, But Sadly Front desk lady Is awful 😖, She is rude , She never Greet you with Kindness. Every time I go to the gym in the morning She always ruins my day.
I will give this gym a five star But they chose poorly The front desk person from 7am-2. If you want to have a good workout, go a night Or after midnight When Arturo is working he's actually Great. Every time I talk to somebody and tell them how awful this lady is. They all told me the same thing. They won't leave the gym because they love the gym. But this lady always gives them a bad taste to their mouth, She is so arrogant and thinks she is the owner. Somebody needs to bring her down to earth.

Went for a trial thing for women. Got to the lobby to meet the personal trainer and was ghosted lol. Literally couldn't find the manager running it. They texted me 10 minutes prior to confirm and then I replied here when asked to and no one came. I said ok let's reschedule no reply no nothing. So sketchy.

BEWARE! THE GYM WILL REFUSE TO CANCEL A MEMBERSHIP! The lady on the phone absolutely refused to cancel my membership, interrupted me on the phone as I told her that I don’t live in the area any longer and if there’s anything we can do. She then was constantly sarcastic and had major attitude with me in the phone like I was asking her to eat dog poop. But then she hung up on me and refused to cancel my membership. The only way to get these people to stop charging your card is by putting a black through your bank cause they won’t allow you to cancel. I see a BIG lawsuit in this locations future. DONT GO HERE TRUST ME. The machines are faulty and rarely work, and the place is constantly dirty.

The receptionist ( July 3 at 9:45am) needs customer service training. I am a member, and when I swiped my card and head to the treadmill she called me out, She tells in front of all other four customers that my account have a problem and I have to wait until she is done with all other 6 customers. I told her if I can start doing my cardio while she is done with them, she said “NO you have to wait”, after everything it was the gyms reader that has a problem and not my account. Wow… am I in third world? Shaming, blaming, then saying ignore it happened? She didn’t apologize by the way. It is that bad.

Adequate to show up and work out, but there has been no investment back into the place. There are unpainted patches on the walls, taped over patches on the equipment, rust on the equipment. One of the shower heads in the men's room broke, so they just zip tied it back in place. The sauna looks like it hasn't been swept out in months and the light in it doesn't appear to be working. I show up to work out after work around 3am, but yesterday came in to a sign sharpied on printer paper that they would be honoring their scheduled hours and would be closed from midnight to four during the week. Since this is when I go, and I commute an hour to work, I will be trying to suspend my membership until I can receive the service I am paying for. I will update this post after I call in.

Edit: they refused to allow me to remove my membership without the fee. I told my bank they were no longer allowed to draw from my account and I will not be back.

Everything else about this gym is great. Good facility and a wide variety of equipment. Plenty of space for deadlift, squat, 2 benches and lots of free weights. Sauna is nice too.

The people are great, I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews and honestly couldn’t disagree with them more. If you’re looking for something fancy with a lot of amenities, go elsewhere. If you’re looking for a good workout and you’re happy with less, then this is a great gym. The ONLY thing I would say is that not having AC is really tough especially with cardiac issues, had to leave this gym sadly because of that. Give it a try though! The people that run it and the people in the gym are all awesome

I’m very disappointed in this neighborhood gym. I’ve been a member for 20+ years and I’m there for the fitness classes and the instructors who teach them. I’m very disappointed in the current owner who has let this gym go down in appearance. When you walk through the doors first thing you notice is there is the air conditioner is mot on or isn’t adjusted to work out safely especially on very hot days. However to make up for not adequate air conditioning the
front door and two back doors are open to let mosquitoes in. In every row of workout machines one or two machines need repair or completely taken out if they’re irreparable. The owner seems to not care. I’m the back exercise room their is a wall mounted fan that hadn’t worked in at least a year. The owner has been told about this fan many times over but still had not been addressed and it might be a quick fix. The whole gym could use a thoroughbred clean, the wooden floor in the exercise room could use a good mopping and maybe the floors could be refurbished to give it a better look. The owner works out there weekly and yet fails to see the issues that can be done to make the gym look better. What will it take to make the owner address the issues that have been brought to his attention either in person or public comments.

If you are looking for a cute sports club to sit and take modeling pics, this isn't the spot, it's a little older of a building, but HEY. If you want to actually workout, they've got the equipment, usually open to use. They offer Child-care, classes, sauna, locker room with showers. I'd say its slightly over priced for what it is, but worth it to support a smaller business gym!

I've ran into some genuine kind people here who will remember you and say hi on multiple occasions and not just shrug you off like the people at the snazzy gyms. Keep it up Fitness System. I've always had a great experience there!

User beware. Save your money go to another gym!! This place is ridiculous! The padding on the equipment is falling apart! The owner uses black tape to fix it versus replacing/repairing it and the faulty fix caused a rip on my leggings. The backdoor is always locked even though it says emergency exit!!! How can a a fire door be locked from the inside? The vents on the air conditioner are horroribly thick with dust. Not to mention the fact that the owner never fixes the stair stepper machine!! At one point they were cleaning but using straight bleach!!! Causing it hard to breathe in the gym. How is that even safe? Save your money and go somewhere else. If I could give no stars I would!!

It is incredibly DIFFICULT to cancel a membership here through this gym. All of the employees will tell you different things, and no one seems to know what anyone else has said or is doing. I have been trying to cancel this membership for over two months now, I have had the other person on my account come in a couple of times to try and cancel and they turn him away. I specifically asked employees there and they told me yes he could cancel since he is on the account. I have told the employees there numerous times that I am unable to come into the location and cancel at least ten times now. I feel like no one will work with me here and it's incredibly frustrating to keep getting charged for a gym I can in no way continue to use at the moment.

Wide variety of equipment and very friendly vibe in this gym. Free classes, childcare, tanning, and no annual fees! The people who workout here are truly amazing and the prices are great for all that the gym has to offer. The night crew has done an amazing job going through and cleaning the entire gym (yes the entire gym- he vacuums and mops the whole floor every day) as well as deep cleaning machines the bathrooms daily. The locker rooms are well maintained by staff and a new sauna in both the mens and women's locker room has recently been installed, fixing the previous problem that the men's sauna was having. Open 24 hours throughout the week and very early on both Saturday and Sunday. Absolute best and largest gym in Lincoln!

Gym is filthy. Literally dirt on the equipment and machines. Over half of the cardio equipment is broken. This place desperately needs an overhaul. Manager sprays cleaner throughout gym while I am working out. I have left the gym because it's counterintuitive to breathe in toxins while exercising. He's very friendly and does his best to keep it clean but he inherited it in this condition. It needs a professional team to come in and do an overnight clean. Great crowd. Very Poor Experience. I needed to cancel and they told me to come in and sign paperwork to do so. I came in and did that. Then, I note that 3 months later, they are still dinging my credit card and even double billed me. I call them and they tell me to bring in the notice of cancellation. I tell them that they should have that in their system. They look and it's there. I then tell them of all the overages and they tell me that I HAVE to come in again just to get the refund, that I must bring all my statements and the credit card in order to get all the overages refunded. I have been a business owner myself for 25 years and I have never required that of any client in order to get a proper refund. Very disappointed.

It's a shame that this location has been neglected by the new owner. The staff is not what it once was. The overall cleanliness is poor and becoming dilapidated. Advertised as 24 hours is misleading, can not open on time at 4am. I have been a member for over 3 years and have seen it when it was Gold's gym and the service was outstanding. A damn same! If you are serious about fitness, you might want to explore the competition first.

I was charged a $25 late fee got late payment because my card was changed. I’ve been coming to the gym and no one told me anything. But today when I walk in the OWNER says “hey lady you owe the fee for July”. Okay? I guess I’m lady.. even though I’m sure the screen says my name. Andre the guy at the desk apologized for her.. but that’s not good enough. Then I was charged $64 instead of the $30 membership fee. Thanks for the heads up that I didn’t get. What a disappointment, gym equipment is in dispair. The gym itself is filthy you won’t believe the locker room. The staff at this location? Well that’s up for debate. Tiffany was uncooperative made it very difficult to cancel the auto withdrawal membership. Be a patron at your own risk.
I myself will be filing a complaint with the chamber of commerce against fitness systems in Lincoln CA.

I lost my phone in Roseville but was able to track it to the outside of this gym. I went in to ask if anyone had seen it and was told no. HOWEVER two guys that were working out there went above and beyond and helped me look around outside and even let me use their iPhone to track mine. The guy at the front desk was SO awesome and helped me look as well! Their moms would be proud. So thank you, didn't get names 😒 But you guys were awesome.

The gym needs some love. Some of the equipment is pretty old. They DO NOT vacuum the gym floor very often. I was there today and it is pretty bad. When the new owner took over it was great, as of late not so much. There has been no water for several days, have to use a portable outside restroom. This is unacceptable under any circumstance.

I have been a long time member of Fitness Systems and Muscle System. I have had the great opportunity to workout at just about al of their gyms. The equipment is by far the best in town. If you're looking for a gym that is less than mediocre this one is not for you. I have read a review where a customer states Steve Mount is the owner. That's false. It's too bad people make stories up. The owner is Steve Tresner. Steve is by far, the nicest on hands gym owner anyone will ever encounter. He shows up at different times of the day making sure customers are happy and staff are professional. The first time I worked out at Fitness System in 2005, Steve noticed a few of us had no clue what to do. He walked over and asked if we wouldn't mind him jumping in and working out with us.

Wanna let everyone know that i do not own that gym. Hi my name is Steven Mount and i moved to lincoln a year ago and work on base at Beale. I have traveled a lot and been to many workout facilities all over the world and trust me when i say that this gym is a wonderful place to get fit. Since i have moved here and been a member i have made many friends at the gym, both avid gym goers like me AND staff. I joined the gym when it was Gold's and it was kind of run down and old. The new owner came in and brought new equipment and fixed it up really nice! The staff is friendly! I left a really nice stainless water bottle there by accident. The guy at the front desk called me and told me I left it. He said he saw me walk in with it and knew it was mine. It was so nice of him to go the extra mile and let me know.

***The ONLY Other Review on here that is a 5-Star One was PUT THERE by the Gym-Owner, Steven Mount! There WAS a 2nd, 5-Star Review left by him on here until I updated mine mentioning his False-Reviews he had posted on here!*** I got a 1-year Contract w/ Golds Gym when this gym WAS Golds Gym, I then went for several months until my Dr. put me on a new medication that made me sedative, so I stopped going about 4-months in. The contract was for $20 a month w/ initiation fee and all that. Just last week I decide to go in and see Fitness Systems and if I am still on an account with them. As a matter of fact, I AM! In FACT, I already OWE them $44.95 for the past few months, but I can wipe that away by paying $20 right now. Cool, I give them my last $20 and they give me a membership-card and said I have until the 5th of Next month to give them a Credit/Debit Card to process, OR pay 3, 6, or 1-year in advance membership dues with no-strings. Awesome, I might just do the 3-month membership upfront because I hate contracts. So I was going for the last 5-days until I come in on a Monday night and some old-guy with an attitude-problem stops me from proceeding to my workout. He informs me that I need to give him a Credit card RIGHT Now and when I mention I've already given him $20, he says that THAT was for the PAST dues, but that didn't make me a current member. I tell him that is not the info I was given, and feel a little bit insulted by the old-fart's tone. I then ask him how much is monthly membership fee, and he says, "since you're an old-member, $25. But for new members it's $40." I've never had ANY problem at this gym before, so I figure that maybe he's just having a bad night and give him my card infomation now so I can workout instead of waiting and paying them 3-months upfront. So this guy never says anything like, 'sorry for the misunderstanding' or something. Nothing.. I found his behavior very unbecoming of a business owner, as I later confirmed that he was the owner, and it doesn't surprise me because most employees would never treat another person like that if they value their jobs. I finish my workout and go home to retrieve my Original Contract for Golds Gym which I assumed they had purchased from them and were still honoring SINCE I was already being CHARGED BY THEM for ALREADY being a member there! I come back in and wait to be seen by the owner again for which I now know his first name is, "Steve" and tell Steve that I'm contracted to only be charged $20 a month for at least another 2-months. No biggie, right? WRONG!!! "Look, every member pays either $25 for coming in earlier or $39 for coming in now per month, if you want to go to Gold's Gym then you can drive-out to their Citrus Heights location (which is about a 30-minute drive) and go there if you want to pay $20 a month." Oh really? How can I do that seeing as I ALREADY gave you my last $20 for, 'Past-membership Dues' that I APPARENTLY DID NOT EVEN authorize! I assumed they were going off my old-contract but I guess they were just going off of whatever they felt like making up at the time to get you to come in and give them Your money! During this whole time, I did not raise my voice, use foul or unbecoming language, or do anything to cause a scene BECAUSE I workout there! After asking a few more questions trying to get to the bottom of how they decided that I owed them $44.95 to begin with that I paid off in agreement with them at $20 and why did they do that if they were not following the original contract because I never signed-up with Fitness Systems?!?! Before I could get another word-out, I get the proverbial, 'We have the right to refuse service to anyone and I'm not trying to argue.' "I'm NOT either, I'm just trying to get to the bottom of..
