Fitness Works was fantastic. We came to visit Lodi and got a day pass. We were very impressed by how spacious the gym was and how much equipment there was. It wasn’t crowded at all, especially compared to InShape. We’d become members if we lived here and we are planning to come again on our next trip!

BEWARE This gym plays games with what they charge you!!!!!! The first time I was quoted and charged a rate. After going there for a year with that rate, I was then locked out of the gym and FORCED to pay extra money in order to continue at the gym. Now, in May of 2024, the same thing has happened again. They charged me at the beginning of the month my new rate and then was locked out of the gym. Once I was able to go into the gym they said I had to pay extra in order to come back, but could finish the month out because I had already paid for the month. I told them, I would be cancelling at the end of the month and when I looked at my bank account this morning, I have ANOTHER charge on my credit card from FWL. This is ridiculous and bad business practice. In addition to not only being a fraudulent a business owner, the floor is warped and half the gym equipment is broken. Don't even get me started on the trip to the bathroom, half the rotted carpet is pulled up and it's mostly just cement and a dirty floor. I am not sure who I spoke to about this when I was first locked out, but if this is how they treat their gym goers who attend religiously, then this gym's days are numbered.
UPDATED REVIEW: Well, this gym owner is such a scammer yet again! I just got charged AGAIN after 3 months of not going and cancelling my memo! Just another reason not to go here because EVEN WHEN YOU DONT GO YOU GET CHARGED!

I am a professional google local guide(level 5) originally from San Diego California with many years in the game of the fitness industry and I am about to tell you right now the complete business breakdown on why this place is a five star first class gym.
Starting with geographical location, there are four main streets that take you directly to their BIG parking lot where you will never need to worry about fighting for a parking space. The availability on their memberships are also very convenient, you can choose a month to month plan with no contract but most importantly, you will have a large variety of fitness equipment without enormous corporate gym crowds monopolizing machinery you pay to use.
Their business practices are simple and direct, the staff is friendly, GO CHECK THEM OUT.

As a participant in the Silver Sneakers program Fitness Works fills the bill and provides what I need to improve my health. It’s certainly not pretentious nor doubles as a hook up spot. It’s just great place to work out.

Good gym with some less common pieces of mobility and power equipment. Good selection of strength training equipment. Atmosphere is good for serious lifters. 4am opening is nice too.
