Went in for a trial membership at the end of July. Used the gym once and hated everything about it- equipment was sticky, front desk staff were super unhelpful, none of the "VIP" area seemed to be functioning. For the outrageous price of this gym you barely get anything. Save your money and go to 24 hr fitness which offers WAY more for far cheaper. I sent written notice to cancel my membership within 24 hrs of signing the paperwork (which is what the contract states you need to do), tried to confirm over the phone but their listed phone number doesn't work. Despite cancelling within the 5 day window with written notice, I just noticed a $120 charge on my credit card, 19 days after I canceled. Can't get ahold of anyone to remedy this. Gave them 3 days to respond before I will dispute the charge with my credit card and make a report to the BBB. Super disappointed- I was excited to have a gym closer to my house.

Edit to update (10/14): 4 months later I am still dealing with this BS. I've called dozens of times and the number is either disconnected or no answer during normal business hours. I've emailed numerous times, and called the ABC business that apparently manages billing, they claimed they have also tried contacting the gym to no avail. I disputed the charges with my credit card (who reimbursed me and stopped future payment) but now I am getting repeated calls and emails from ABC fitness threatening to send me to collections for past-due bills. DO NOT set foot in this gym- it's a complete scam. Save your money and go to any of the better (and cheaper) gyms in Escondido.

Edit to update again (10/16): since these boobs don't seem to know their own cancelation policy, let me just attach a little reminder...a screen shot of the cancelation policy pulled from the very membership agreement I signed, and the written cancelation notice, dated and signed by me that follows your policy. But hey, if you guys don't want to take care care of this yourselves and stop trying to bill me, I'm sure the Better Business Bureau and CA attorney general would be happy to.

I initially enjoyed being a member and had every intention of returning once my budget allowed. Unfortunately, I had to cancel due to financial constraints. Prior to October, I attempted to contact the facility multiple times over a two-week period to cancel my membership, but the phone line was not working. I eventually went in person to address the issue but was informed that because it was not 10 days prior to the billing date, I would still be charged—despite explaining the situation and the phone issues.
I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility and responsiveness, especially considering the circumstances. While the facility itself was fine, I would recommend exploring other options, which may offer more reliable customer service.

Updated review: I signed up on Aug 29 for what was advertised as a free monthly trial and went in to cancel around Sept 25, but was still charged $120 ($60 monthly + $60 annual). The contract says you must give a 30-day written notice after your first 30 days, which means you’re automatically billed even if you cancel right after the trial — making it impossible to actually have a “free month" according to the terms of the contract. That is misleading and not customer-friendly. The owner was polite and said she actually accepts a 10-day notice.

Most gyms today allow immediate or prorated cancellations — even the FTC recently sued LA Fitness for making cancellations too hard. So while the charges may technically be in the contract, they are bad faith and out of step with normal gym practices.

The gym itself is clean and well-equipped, but the “free trial” and cancellation policy are deceptive in practice. If you try it out, cancel early or expect surprise fees.

I signed up for the 1$ month month promotion on August 21st, at which time i was told if I wanted to cancel I could free of charge as long as it was 10 days prior to the first billing date September 21st. Well the location was just to far from my house and inconvenient. I called on September 8th to cancel and was told ai had to come in and do it in person. So I came in, annoying and shady, but okay whatever i'll come in. So I came in and the front desk guy cancelled my membership for me. He said I wouldn't be billed again, and that I had until September 21st if I still wanted to come in, great I thought. Well today, I was billed 59.99 from the company. This is absolutely unacceptable business practices, at every step of the process from signing up to cancelling everyone I spoke with explicitly said I wouldn't be charged as long as I cancelled 10 days prior to my billing date which I did. I've emailed them multiple times since September 8th and have not received a single response. Do not sign up for a membership with this gym, they will scam you and steal your money.

Update: still haven't received a response from the gym, after sending at least 6 emails to the email the gym has listed. I have since disputed the charge with my bank, and today 10/10 received an email from fitsi threatening to send me to collections. Absolutely shameful business practices. DO NOT SIGN UP, YOU WILL GET SCAMMED!

I'm extremely disappointed with the way this gyms owner handles communication. The owner sent a text allowing us to have access to the gym after we left the company, which I started paying for a membership but that ended up being a complete mess and ultimately led to us to being banned. To make matters worse, we were personally escorted out because the owner called & told a staff member that we were breaking rules - an assumption that was completely wrong.
On top of that, management did not honor the contract that promised me 30 extra days after cancellation but Instead, they went back on their word and told me that the day I canceled would be my final day, completely disregarding what was agreed upon. She failed to explain what lead her to making this decision of now banning us but we respected it and bought a membership elsewhere.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable. The owner clearly needs to work on professionalism, honoring agreements, and communicating honestly with their members.
Misinformation, false assumptions, and broken promises should never be the reason someone loses access to a gym they trusted.
Until the ownership improves, i cannot recommend this gym to anyone looking for a respectful and trustworthy fitness environment.

Its a pretty good gym. A lot of free weights, squat racks and cardio machines. The restroom is sometimes closed every now and then but they've been pretty good about fixing it right away. The staff is always friendly, the gym is clean and its surprisingly not as busy as most other gyms.

The phone numberlisted just takes you to a membership mailbox you can not reach a operator or receptionist! My 16 yr old son was sold a one month membership for a $1 (and to cancel within a month to not be charged) without my concent and he DID proceed to cancel that membership before the month was up via email. They have now continued to threaten him via email and text with fees and ruining his credit. As his mom I am frustrated that I can not reach anyone at this gym! We do not live in the area and it is ridiculous that no one at this gym can be reached!

I had a terrible experience with this gym. From the start, customer service was awful-both the employees and the manager were rude and unhelpful. The payment system was a complete mess, and every time I tried to resolve an issue, I got the runaround. Canceling my membership was even worse!!! They overcharged when you tried to cancel ($120) no one ever gave me the correct email or instructions, so l was stuck going in circles. On top of that, the employees at the front desk constantly gave me dirty looks, which made the environment very uncomfortable. The equipment was dirty and poorly maintained, the restrooms were always filthy, and the whole place feels cheap. Save yourself the stress and money this gym is not worth it AT ALL!!

First impression… 5 stars the gym is very spacious and all the equipment is brand new. It’s cool how they have all the amenities… Which is very intriguing. Giving it a three star… Because there are a few things that are important at a gym that I think were overlooked… There is not a separate room for stretching/yoga/classes but it appears as if they thought that putting two large offices for employees only was more important..kind of weird…The red light therapy… Was all right. It’s kind of nasty. There is not even a latch on the door and there is a curtain for “Privacy“ that kind of reminds me of an Asian spa… Lol also there should be somebody attending to that machine because it does get kind of gross with everybody’s hair and sweat.. my next stop was the sauna which was large and beautiful and brand new… The instructions on the outside said that the temperature gets to 180°F… I sat in there with the Max temp and it only got to 160°F… Which if you’re somebody that is like me and is looking for the pain of 180°F it just does not Scratch the itch… And again… With the handles… The sauna doesn’t have a handle on the inside, so you can’t close the door without trying to finagle it latched… Which is somewhat important if you wanna keep the heat in…My final stop was the showers… Which I appreciate how large the lockers are… But the women’s showers… There’s one large one with a curtain that is see-through… And the other two showers again don’t have a Handle on the door to latch the door closed, so you have to shower with the door open… Again with the privacy thing I don’t think it exist at this gym… And then the water took about five minutes to get hot… And some genius decided to put the air-conditioning vent right above the shower so you’re literally standing naked in the shower with the AC blasting on you while you’re waiting for the water to get hot… which… The water eventually got somewhat warm so it was better than standing in a freezing cold shower… It could have been just because nobody had showered before me? Not too sure but not ideal….

Bottom line… If you’re using the gym just to go work out you will have a five star experience… If you are using this gym for the amenities… It’s gonna Be a three star

There is a new business model in fitness industry and FITSI is HITTING A HOME RUN for me !!!

Great friendly staff welcomes you at the door. Ahmad walked me through the entire facility and showed me all of the Spa rooms: RED LIGHT POD! Ice plunge, SAUNA, lounging massage chairs, and UV LIGHT TANNING.

The machines on the floor are well spaced, and have been organized for any kind of workout. The people there were all in the zone and I could tell it was going to be a great place to get in and focus on my Detox and muscle strengthening goals.

I’ve been waiting for this type of business to show up in town, and somebody finally put it on the map! They even hung up door knob tag in my neighborhood, which was serendipitous! I signed up immediately for the trial one dollar program on your first month.

This is the perfect time to get back into the gym after the long summer days and they’re open until 11 PM.

First, the staff lied by saying I needed to give 10 days' notice to cancel, then later changed the story to requiring a mailed letter 30 days in advance. When I asked for clarification, they did not cooperate or offer any resolution. This is not only misleading but also goes against California's "click cancel" law, which requires businesses to make cancellations straightforward and free from hidden charges. I should not have to fight to protect my own bank information from a company that refuses to follow fair business practices. I strongly advise others to not sign up with Fitsi.

This gym is the best facility in Escondido! journey ! I’ve been here for a few months already; the equipment and management team is top-notch and what stands out is how clean it is every time I’m here and I’m here 5-6 days of the week; no other gym in the area can come close to the cleanliness of this facility and that matters the most to me. The team is always welcoming and put in effort to get to know their members. The additional features like the spray tan, sauna, and massage in the VIP package are well worth the membership and the whole reason I switched to this gym since it’s all in one. To start this review off properly, I should share my background in fitness clubs. I ran a major health club for over 20 years, so I do have knowledge of how things are supposed to be working and running in health club. I saw multiple reviews about this facility. A lot of them were negative about The customer service about trying to cancel memberships and about the facility. Granted I did get a one month free trial when I went to redeem it the girl basically told me that I would have to join and then get a free month, which is definitely false. After explaining to the rep who is probably new I ended up getting a 30 day trial. The gym itself is relatively clean and the equipment is obviously new. The VIP section which includes cold plunge sauna, and some massage chairs were interesting to me. However, five attempts of the cold plunge each time it wasn’t working properly. It was extremely dirty with hair floating on it. I go to the front desk and they basically say yeah sorry it’s really dirty. The manager has the app to turn it on. I would attempt to call at least five or six times every few days to see if it’s working and the phone never answers or it goes to a voicemail that you can’t leave a message to after talking to a person today they said it is working in filtering the water. I went in today. It wasn’t working. The water was dirty. There was dirt particles all over it so I went to talk to the front desk and apparently one of the co-owners was there and basically brushed my concerns off when I’m trying to explain about That it’s just not a good representation, even if it is for free because at this point there’s no intent of joining. I also explain to her that there are multiple reviews and a lot of Facebook and Escondido neighborhood groups that have very poor things to say about this establishment. One of the reps originally told me that they’re trying to get a higher end client that’s why they charge more money and they don’t want a lot of people going to the facility. But if you’re gonna charge your premium price, the equipment should be working continuously especially when you are going into a sauna with other people or a cold plunge where there is a lot of bacteria and dirt in it I really wish this would’ve worked out because it is so close to my house, but the customer service is very poor. The back area where it needs to be cleaned is very unsanitary.

Honestly, this is the worst gym I ever signed up for. It looks nice with the pictures but the customer service is horrible. If you look on Yelp, the reviews are horrible. Especially if you are trying to cancel.

I signed up during the soft opening & they did not have the cold plunge equipment ready. I called them to cancel and the person on the phone said , it will be taken care of and they would put the note on my account. A week later, I got charged. I called back & the associate said that there was a note on my account saying I wanted to cancel. 1 month passes by, I get charged again + the yearly fee. They charged me total of $180 ($60 + $120) . I called them and ask to speak to the manager. She said they will look at my contact. Sent an email to follow up, she said I cant can't get a refund because I needed to write a written note to properly cancel my account. If they trained their employees properly , maybe they woulve told me to come in with a written note during the two times that i called .

I only stepped into that gym once. She failed to train her employees & would not give me a phone number to their corporate office.

DO NOT sign up for this gym. I rather go to 24hr fitness or another gym, Atleast they treat their customers better. I'm in my 30s & a veteran.I have been to multiple gyms around San Diego. This is by far the worst gym I have ever been to. If I could give it 0 stars, I definitely would.

If you want a gym that has cheap equipment, not properly trained employees, and people that only care about taking your money in this bad economy. Then this gym is perfect for you.

It’s a no for me, I didn’t even want to finish my 7 day free trial. The equipment is cheaply made…
-black paint on the bench bars is coming off
-treadmills feel hollow and cheap
-the row machines are not short people friendly (5’2”)
-chipped silver paint on hand dryer in the woman's bathroom
-the accessories for the cable machine feel like plastic
-broken machines
-10 squat racks is a plus but I’d rather have two good quality racks, there are no mirrors and the weight plates are poor quailty
-the list continues…

*when we toured the facility before opening the rep said they woul have dumbbells over 100lbs, lies.

Looks mean nothing if the quality of the equipment doesn’t match, they had the right idea but did not do a good job with execution.

Amazing first experience! Pablo and Suraya are rockstars. Carly the owner seems to really enjoy what she is trying to build and so far I’m buying all the hype. The gym is amazing service amazing. The sauna and cold plunge could maybe use a towel service so if you do want to try those be sure to bring a towel. But I was just so happy about having a new home gym. Let’s also not forget for you local Escondido gym heads they have a staple of the community Ahmad most of yall know he was at planet I think it’s great they have a local guy that will know a lot of the regulars.
