One of the instructors was really rude. The overall experience was quite disappointing.
Updates:
The ownerβs response below is interesting.
1. While I didnβt use my full name just my initials to leave this review, the owner used my full first name in their response. Why did you do that?
2. Stop tweaking the fact! I didnβt arrive 15 mins after the class started. I arrived 5 minutes late because it was raining on that day. Since it was my first time, it took me 2 more minutes to figure out where the class is in the gym as you didnβt have clear instructions.
3. Thereβs no place on their classpass page that mentioned you need to arrive 15 MIN before class starts. Itβs still like this now.
4. It was really hard to walk in the rain to get to the class. Despite all my efforts, first words I heard after I checked with the instructor about the class were: βyou are very late.β She said it twice, then asked me to go fill out a waiver which took longer time. Maybe next time do not be so rude and a bit more understanding to people who tried their best to make to the class?
5. During the workout, despite there were two instructors there were not much guidance. The instructors sometimes were just chatting to each other.

Good workout, but it's in a basement. Not great ventilation and looks a little claustrophobic while working out.

Flagship FiDi has surpassed my expectations. The facilities and equipment are top notch, the coaches are informative and motivational, and the athletes are friendly. Great way to start the day!

Top notch Crossfit like Box in the Financial District. One time, I witnessed an amateur Olympic Weight lifter drop in and he was impressed by the quality of the bars especially.
Flagship is similar to CrossFit but I always felt that they put more stress on warm up, stretching and safety. I always felt encouraged to take it down, substitute and recover.
The staff is super friendly, very welcoming and very friendly which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
It's not one of the cheaper options in SF to work out but you also get what you pay for - top notch equipment, cleanliness and service!

This gym is amazing. The instructors are top class and the space is awesome. I love the class format as it gives me time to work on my olympic lifting technique that i would never be able to do at a regular gym. The work outs are also really tough and the community is great!

I visit the San Francisco on occasion and always drop into Flagship FiDi when I do. The coaches are welcoming and helpful when I went up and introduced myself, even to someone who isn't and won't be a long term member! There's plenty of high quality equipment to use and it's a big space, considering it's downtown. Excited to come back the next time I visit.

I had several disappointing experiences here. I found the instructor to be quite condescending. I had a lower back injury and he would not listen to me when I told him I couldnβt do certain exercises. Even worse, he tried to get me to do things against my will and spoke to me in a condescending way when I said no. There are a lot of great gyms in SF, and this is definitely not one of them. I will not be coming back

Flagship is the best crossfit-style gym I've been a part of. They have top-notch facilities in three locations and they have exceeded my expectations in every way. In the three months that I have been attending their classes, I have seen amazing results in my fitness level and overall health. The coaches are knowledgeable, supportive, and push me to be my best self every day. The community of members is also fantastic, and I have made some great friends who motivate and inspire me. The gym is clean, well-equipped, and the programming is challenging and always keeps me on my toes. I highly recommend Flagship to anyone looking for a gym that will help them reach their fitness goals and provide a fun and supportive environment.

Good location for a drop in. Arrogant coaching and negative experience overall. I was told if I bought a shirt then drop in fee would be waived. After a charged showed up for the shirt and drop in, I reached out to see fee could be reversed and the manager went on tirade. I was asked to provide names and class attended, so he can reprimand employee. Very unprofessional as opposed to waiving the fee. If you're in the Bay Area and looking for a drop in, I would recommend NCFIT or San Francisco CF as it's a much better experience.
Disregard the owner and his fast charging response. No scam here, I have been dropping into CrossFit gyms for 7 years, Flagship - FiDi is the definition of unprofessional. This was absolutely an isolated incident as I have traveled all around the world and most gyms are very professional.
As CrossFit member of an affiliate, you have options. I will soon post emails from our correspondence, so you can see what type of person he is.

Flagship is a top notch gym! I highly recommend to anyone new to the area or looking to switch gyms. The facilities are large, clean and have locker rooms which makes pre/post work workouts easy! The 3 locations are all awesome and convenient! Equipment is all top of the line and on top of that they always seem to be ordering new equipment too. The coaching staff is great, Zach S. in the mornings at FiDi is my personal fave.
Since joining 8 months ago, I have lost 20 pounds, but gained a ton of strength along the way. I've made some awesome friends and always feel welcome no mater what time or location I attend.

Came here for a drop in for the weightlifting class. Deb, the coach, was able to give me some good queues. However, if youβre new to CrossFit or have less experience I would have felt a bit overwhelmed as there was no clear instructions and we just got to work. The gym facilities are obviously super nice and the equipment is great. You also get a towel and all the necessary things to take a shower. If youβre looking for a quick drop in come here (if youβve got some experience doing CrossFit).

I was in SFO for a couple of days and dropped by Flagship Crossfit and I had a great time! The people there and the coaches were very friendly. Their coaches know what they are talking about and their warm ups were really focussed on the movements of the day and activating the right muscle groups. I attended coach Lindsey La Dew and coach Zach Lemis class and all I can say is, it was GREAT! I will be sure to drop in the next time when I am in SFO.

The quality of the Olympic Weightlifting sessions I visited was good - the coaches knew what they were talking about and the equipment was on point! As a drop-in, I didnt' feel very welcome though. No community-vibe, no introduction and in one of the sessions the coach just seemed to continuously ignore that I was a drop-in (session was started with 'you know what to do, so let's go' etc. even though I introduced myself as being there for the first time). I guess it's a really nice place to go to if you're a regular member or if you just want to get your workout in, but if you look for a welcoming vibe, I wouldn't recommend this box.

My second home in San Francisco. Knowledgeable and patient coaches. They are understanding of limitations but push you to be better than you think you are.

The place was clean and professional-looking, with the equipment in top condition. Our coach was attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. Only 4/5, though, because it definitely lacked a "community" vibe. Classes were full and back-to-back, and with the limited space (and with two classes running concurrently), it was not that welcoming.

Dropped in while I was in town to the 8 am class and had a great time. Anyone complaining about a high drop in fee is forgetting they are in San Francisco and this gyms lease has to be expensive. You're not in Kansas anymore. Facility was clean and had great equipment. Coach was friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it.

Goood ambiance and cooperative coaches. I think if you set up your goal and discuss it with ur coach , you will definitely meet it. All coaches are comparatively good and cooperative but Zach is very enthusiastic. I love him for his dedication

Not much more than a local gym for Drop-Ins. Very little time allocated for warm-up. No time allocated for mobility. Doesn't feel like there's a community at all. Really high drop in fee. 2 stars because the equipment is nice.

Awesome facility, with top line Crossfit setup. Keeping in mind I only went to a 6 am class on a visit, it seemed like a sterile environment with no introductions and not really the community aspect/welcome of visitors that I've been accustomed to at other Boxes I've visited.

Summary: Fantastic Crossfit gym staffed by some of the best coaches in the sport.
Flagship's facilities are great but the heart of the box are its coaches and members. The coaches are both highly skilled and caring. They emphasize properly stretching before and after the workouts and they ensure proper form at all times through constructive coaching.
The class sizes are small -- I've never felt lost in a crowd here.
The facility is great. Nice space, new equipment, great location.
The members are also fantastic. Open, encouraging and no attitude.
If you're looking for a crossfit box in SF, you should definitely check out Flagship.
