The attention one gets at the focus classes is amazing. A trainer will tailor the workouts based on your needs and your goals. They focus on functional training, which means focusing on how you move your body on a daily basis. This not only works to make you stronger and leaner but helps you move through your daily tasks with ease. If you don’t know how to work out at all, the focus program is an excellent way to gain a base understanding. If you already know how to work out, it helps as a refresher and also creates accountability. The trainers are great!

Simply put, FOCUS at CrossFit Echo Park helped me get my physical and mental health back on track! I was recovering from a shoulder injury and hadn't worked out in months, so it was the perfect way to ease back into a fitness routine. Every workout was tailored to my needs, which helped me fully recover. And because the classes were small, I always felt cared for! I've now graduated to their group classes and it's all because of Focus. To all of the coaches I work with - Adrian, Olivia, Ella, Jason, Lauren, Peter, you all RULE! Thank you!

I’ve been doing the Focus program for about 8 months now, and it’s been SUCH a great experience. Even though I’ve always maintained an active workout routine, I’ve become significantly stronger through the semi-private trainings and feel a real difference in my body — stronger, more confident, and healthier overall. I’ve also been undergoing quarterly DEXA scans to track my progress, and the numbers speak for themselves: I've had a significant decrease in body fat %, fat mass, and visceral fat, and increases in lean mass and bone density.
I love the flexible schedule with multiple daily training options and the easy booking app. Often I end up with one-on-one training, but when there’s another person or two training at the same time, it’s fun and motivating to have that bit of camaraderie.
Initially, I was intimidated because FOCUS is held in a CrossFit gym, but the atmosphere is so warm, inviting, and supportive — I’ve truly never felt so comfortable in a gym before. The coaches listen to your goals, tailor the program to your needs, and really hone in on form and teaching--a major goal of mine. I’ve learned so much, had a lot of fun working out, and can’t recommend the Focus program highly enough!

FOCUS classes feel like the best of both worlds: personalized coaching without losing the group fun of a typical Crossfit class.
I’d recommend it to anyone looking to improve in a specific area - strength, conditioning, bodybuilding, you name it. Sure, you could train alone that at any regular gym, but you’ll always push yourself harder in a group of 2-3 with a coach looking over your shoulder and keeping you accountable!

Super worth it -- one of the best investments I've made in myself. Before finding FOCUS, I was never regular with the gym, and when I did go (I’m now realizing) I barely pushed myself. The normal CrossFit classes intimidate me lol, and 1:1 coaching around here is too expensive. So the small group thing feels like the best of all worlds! Been going 2x/week for ~8 months and I can’t believe I actually look forward to the gym now hah. Schedule-wise there are ample sign-up options, and the trainers are so friendly, approachable, supportive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Love the semi-private training here! The small group (max 3) makes it feel personal and you get the attention you’d expect from one-on-one.
The coaching has really improved my form and technique. It’s way better than a regular gym, you get guidance, motivation, and workouts that actually feel tailored. 🙌

I've been part of the FOCUS program for a while now, and I love it all 💕. It's truly a hidden gem. It's the perfect balance between personal training and a group class. You can get the benefits of coaches' detailed attention while also being part of a supportive small group. It's personal and "focused". highly recommend this program 🙏

I had not considered myself a very active or athletic person prior to joining Xfit Echo Park. I am regularly amazed by the knowledge, experience and kindness of the coaching staff. I have been able to work with my coach to refine my technique and form, integrate strength training into my workout regimen — my comfort and safety are always at the forefront of our training.
I worked with my coach to discuss my fitness goals which are then crafted into a personalized workout plan that integrates my feedback. Because of the small group settings in FOCUS I get significant individualized attention in my sessions and overall, this program has boosted both my stamina and confidence levels.

CrossFit EchoPark's FOCUS training is wonderful; this small group, semi-private option means I get the personalized attention of a personal trainer, combined with the community of a fitness class. The Coaches are friendly and professional, and do not push too hard but do not let you dog it either! If you are getting back into fitness or looking to take your workout to the next level, I highly recommend this!
