I’ve been a member of the Foundation since 2018, and at 64 years old, I can honestly say this place has made a huge difference in my life. Last month, I had a "FULL" knee replacement on my right knee. Today—just 23 days after surgery—I was able to return to my 5 AM class, with my physical therapy team’s approval, focusing on upper body and minimal lower body exercises.
I truly believe my quick recovery is thanks to the incredible trainers at the Foundation. Their guidance, encouragement, and commitment over the years have kept me strong, consistent, and motivated. Coming here five days a week at 5 AM has paid off in ways I never imagined.
If you’re on the fence about whether this program is worth it, I can tell you without hesitation—100% yes. While the monthly cost is more than a generic gym, the small group training is a huge advantage. Plus, the friendships I’ve built here over the years are priceless.

Highly recommend Foundation Fitness 75 Day Nutrition Challenge. For the first time EVER, I saw the scale go down. Not only did I lose 12.2 lbs, I gained 5% muscle and lost body fat. Coach Jordan and Coach Al are always willing to answer any questions and push you to another limit. This challenge was a life style change. This community is so welcoming and encouraging. Great gym, lost weight, kid friendly, coaching are great and knowledgeable, sports coaching for kids has been amazing! All the coaches are so nice and informative! They taught me proper form and what weights to use according to my personal goals. I learned how foods are broken up in different categories and depending on what you’re trying to accomplish determines what foods you need to eat and their values. Its nice for busy people/families who don’t have time to create a work out plan, you just show up to class/gym and the coaches have the work out on the board and you don’t have to think you just do! Everyone is encouraging and speak kind and uplifting words to each out. The classes range from all ages.

I have been to several gyms over the last 20 years and kept finding myself making excellent progress, only to find continual setbacks due to injuries. To be honest, I have poor form when doing exercises and would pull something or throw out my back.
At Foundation Fitness the last 3 years, I have experienced an entirely new level of coaching, surrounded by truly amazing people that motivate each other. The trainers focus on form, ensuring you are lifting properly. Also, there are nutritional guidelines to ensure you are eating well, and being consistent.
I haven’t felt this great in longer than I can remember. I have increased my muscle mass, lowered my body fat and have an entirely new level of appreciation for what this gym has to offer. I’m not just a number, I am a valued member.

I've been coming to Foundation Fitness in Yucaipa for about 2 years now, and I really love it. This gym experience is unlike any I have had before. The trainers know everyone by name, know your abilities and modify exercises when necessary, but also encourage you to push yourself when appropriate, and consistently check in with you to see how you are doing and to check goals and progress. Their 6-week challenge is such a great reset, and really helps build comradery with others, holds you accountable and pushes you to push yourself! So grateful to have found this community to work out with! All the coaches are awesome. It’s especially exciting that Coach Al is taking over as the new majority owner. She has such vision for the gym and the gym community. If you’re looking for a g you actually want to go to and meet likeminded people, this is the pace to be!

Foundation Fitness has been solid from day one! I love that it’s a group of regular people working together to make a difference in their fitness. No egos or people trying to show off. I love Foundation Fitness. I had never done any sort of bootcamp before so I was very nervous and intimidated to start, but I was welcomed with open arms. Like many others, I started off coming to this gym because of the 3 month challenge and ended up staying longer than that. I think a lot of that has to do with that fact that this is not a traditional gym and you can tell the the coaches genuinely care. Not only that, the friends to you get to make on this journey absolutely help to get you through the exercise routines. You cry together, whine together, and laugh about it later together. There's also different activities available to do like hiking, beach work outs, pool parties, and even bonfires. Did I mention this gym is kid friendly? The coaches are really good with the kids, they'll put them to work and tire them out for you. There really is no excuse not to come.

If you are near Yucaipa, Beaumont, Redlands area I would recommend checking the gym out! I started here over a year ago and love it! All of the coaches are so nice and welcoming. They walk around during the workouts checking on everyone and if they see you doing even the smallest thing wrong they will correct your form and make sure you fully understand what to do. They always go over the exercises before the workout starts to make sure everyone knows what they are doing. The gym has a very family/community vibe to it which makes the gym feel less intimidating! If you like group classes or have never tried group classes, you should!

The trainers are great at teaching/correcting form and encouraging you. I am obsessed with foundation fitness! One of my friends was doing the kettlebell class and she invited me along to try it for free and I was hooked. The workouts are amazing! I joined a day later and I regularly attend their bootcamp and kettlebell classes. It is by far one of the best gyms/fitness centers in Yucaipa. All of the coaches are amazing and super helpful. It is a non-threatening environment, as many gyms can be. I can’t say enough good things. Try a class you won’t regret it.

Foundation Fitness has been my favorite gym to train at lately in the Yucaipa, Beaumont, and Redlands area! The trainers are very knowledgeable and the workouts are great! The coaches are very interactive and willing to help out! They also have a great community here, always doing events and including all of the members! I started my journey here doing the 6 week challenge and I’m about halfway now and it’s been a blast to manage what I eat, my workouts, and see my progress as I go through it! The trainers will coach you the entire challenge and help out whenever you need them! Highly recommend this gym for anyone looking to get active and have a community to do it with!

I just started at this gym 2 weeks ago. I hadn't worked out for years. I found it very motivating to go to a class where an instructor gives you personal instruction on how to do these exercises. I think going to regular gym I just wouldn't be motivated as much of this point. Something like this is more of what I needed. And the coaches are super cool and helpful. I started as a New Year’s resolution and am still going. The staff have been great at pushing me and motivating me, and at modifying activities to be realistic to what I can do. However, the greatest thing that keeps me coming back are the friends, the community that has welcomed me in. When I am struggling with going it is the thought of letting them down that gets my feet moving so I don’t miss a session. I truly value the interactions with the people as much as the physical workout that the Foundation provides. A great gym choice for the Redlands/Yucaipa/Beaumont area.

For more than five years, my wife and I have remained dedicated members of Foundation Fitness in Yucaipa. We're both in our 50s and 60s, and we attribute much of our improved daily lives to our association with Foundation Fitness. One of our proudest commitments is attending the invigorating 5:00 AM class, which we faithfully participate in throughout the workweek.
Our anticipation for this class is unwavering because of the significant benefits it brings, particularly in helping us manage the stresses of our daily work routines. The trainers at Foundation Fitness are truly exceptional, demonstrating a genuine commitment to our overall well-being, health, and dietary choices.
An extraordinary feature of the 5:00 AM classes is the sense of community they foster. We genuinely care about each other and encourage everyone to put forth their best effort. It's remarkable that our 5:00 AM class draws members from various areas, including Redlands, Beaumont, and Banning.
On a personal note, I've undergone two knee surgeries in the past year and a half. My recovery has been nothing short of remarkable, and I credit my speedy rehabilitation to the exceptional trainers at Foundation Fitness. Their unwavering support and genuine concern for my well-being played a pivotal role in my recovery.
I highly recommend that even those who may be less active initially give it a try. While the first two weeks may be challenging, perseverance, dedication, and the camaraderie of a supportive group of people will undoubtedly lead to significant benefits.

Conveniently close to Redlands and I have to say you don’t need a traditional gym. You need a coach who seems to make stuff up and an ambition to swing some kettlebells and with a little time with a sprinkle of faith you will see a difference. If You bring 30% the coaches there make you reach the other 70%. Been going a full year and I can say with confidence I look good naked!!! Thank you Lawrence!!!

I needed a gym that would put the workouts together and just tell me what to do. Foundation Fitness has been just that! Not only is the staff friendly, everyone who goes there is also very friendly and you build friendships. The entire gym environment is very community like, friendly, accepting and supportive. I started this gym on a fitness challenge and three years later I’m still here. I feel stronger than ever thanks to the all the great coaches who are attentive to your needs and goals. Sooo if you're like me and don't care for the traditional gym settings but need that extra motivation to help loss some extra lovin this is the place. It's set up to have different exercises daily and you rotate stations to me it keeps it from getting boring. The coaches are AWESOME so motivating and pushes you to do more then you think you can. I started with the six week challenge and I have to say that this is the most motivational, helpful and informative group of trainers. This is an inclusive environment that caters to all ages and all fitness levels. I have belonged to gyms my whole life and this is a completely different experience. I have decided to join after my six week challenge because it is something I can fit in my life and I feel pushes me to my personal physical limits and beyond. Fantastic place and people!!

I have been coming to Foundation Fitness for around 3 years. It really has transformed me and my exercise routine. The coaches are very supportive, but also know when to push you to a new level of fitness. The camaraderie you develop with the other gym members while you all tackle the day's workout together is another reason I enjoy Foundation. I would highly recommend this gym if you are looking for a place where they know you by name, care about your fitness journey, and you want to actually see results!

Joining Foundation Fitness was the best decision I made in 2021! It gave me the jump start I needed to get healthy and strong. Lawrence is amazing. He is encouraging & keeps me motivated! I LOVE this place. I’ve been to a couple different boot camp style gyms and The Foundation tops them by far. I’ve gotten far better results at The Foundation because of the philosophy and workouts. The owners and trainers are awesome, really care about their members, and help members with their individual goals. And The Foundation offers a lot of schedule options for working out with makes it super easy to get your workouts in when you have a busy schedule. I recommend The Foundation for any level of fitness!

I was not able to go to my regular gym because of coronavirus quarantine. So I decided to Foundation Fitness. I was skeptical how this place was going to be any different than the 24hrs Fitness I already went to. I did also checked out some pricing different with two other similar gym concepts. However, I found The Foundation Fitness was very reasonable in prices and without limits on how many times you can come to the gym. To my surprise the results was amazing, it opened my eyes to a new way of working out and for better results. I also made new friends and the coaches were very personable. The coaches are awesome, they are super friendly and work with you and encourages you. They are definitely the best coaches I’ve ever had in my adult training life. It was kind of a little family at the gym. We all encouraged each other and definitely there were competitions. We also had beach outings and hiking. I can’t say enough about this place.

I’ve been a member of this gym for about five months now and have really enjoyed my time here. The one hour bootcamp and bootycamp classes are challenging and fun. I have noticed a huge difference in the way I look and feel. Building muscle and losing lbs. I usually burn between 450-550 calories per session. Great coaches, nice facility with a variety of equipment and well planned sessions. Highly recommend.

I literally came across The Foundation on Instagram in an ad for their 6 week Earn-it-Back Challenge. I was really out of shape and feeling horrible, so I just dove in and signed up the next day to motivate myself to get back in some kind of shape. Laurence and Allison are the best! I have been a member of other CrossFit gyms in the past, but the Foundation is different. The Foundation focuses on movement, range of motion and heart rate rather than lifting heavy weights and pushing your body too much. This approach works! In the 6 weeks I lost 7% of my body fat and gained 12% muscle mass and lost a net amount of about 11 pounds on an average of 3 classes per week. I feel great! They guide you through an eating program as well for the 6-week challenge. If you can follow the program you will get results. I've had some health issues and a very sedentary job for the past 3 years which is what got my body in this predicament to begin with. The Foundation has absolutely given me the ability to get moving again! Thanks so much to Laurence and Allison! You are both awesome! I highly recommend anyone looking to get for a great place to get in or stay in shape to go with The Foundation. It will change your life!

What started as a 6-week Challenge consultation quickly escalated to becoming full members of the Foundation. Laurence Hunt and Allison Herrin are the current lead coaches and trainers who design the daily and long term fitness and conditioning programs. They both do an excellent job of observing each individuals movements and progress. They do a great job of helping you strive to move a few extra pounds or to rep out a few extra. Class sizes are great and hopefully even more class times will be added. The schedule of classes/sessions can accommodate most work/life schedules.
The 6-week weight loss challenge was very straightforward just as long as you follow the plan. You will get personal direction weekly from the Coaches to help achieve your goal.

I joined The Foundation Gym back in February, and I can't say enough good things about this place.
I want to start by saying I've done other 6 week challenge in the past, but what sets this place apart from others is the community of knowledge and wanting you to succeed in your fitness journey. The trainers at the gym are phenomenal. One of the trainers there is Lawrence (also co-owner) his knowledge of knowing the proper movements for each exercise is second to none. He's also sooo invested to make sure each and every one of his clients succeeds both physically and emotionally. The other trainer is Allison. Allison is the one that helps push you to your limits and beyond them!!!
When you join The Foundation you don't just get a gym, but also a place that helps you understand the importance of the nutrition side of being healthy.
Outside of the gym they also have an in-house physical therapist if you have any problems with injuries or just with soreness from the workouts. The physical therapist Kris( also co-owner) has a wealth of knowledge to help you avoid those nagging injuries from happening.
Lol I am nothing shy of addicted to working out now. It's because of The Foundation that I have a lot of personal and physical success to look forward to. If you live in the IE I strongly suggest joining The Foundation!!!

This place rocks!!! The Foundation has a flexible schedule so if your an early riser or a late worker there is a workout with your name on it! I Dropped about 15lbs in 3 weeks with the boot camp regiment and these workouts will get you burning those calories in no time flat! Laurence and Allison and knowledgeable and keep you accountable but also make sure your doing the workouts properly and safely. And if you have physical limitations, they have an alternative exercise ready for you so you get the most out of your workout. The facility is super clean and spacious. Love this place!

I love the foundation!!! This bootcamp delivers great workouts that always makes sure to challenge you! I never thought that a bootcamp style workout would be something that I would want to commit to. The trainers make sure to keep you motivated while still pushing you to meet your fitness goals. I have tried many other group setting workouts and The Foundation is by far my favorite. I can easily become bored with a repetitive workout routine and lose interest in going to the gym all together. But The Foundation does a great job with mixing up the workout routine. I don’t think I’ve done the same workout twice! The community within the gym is very welcoming and everyone cheers each other on.
