We offer a dynamic and supportive Pilates experience designed to meet every client where they are. Our studio specializes in Semi-Private group classes (up to 5 clients per session), Duet sessions, and fully personalized Private training. Our contemporary Pilates approach is rooted in precision, functional movement, and mindful progression.
Whether you’re looking to sweat with HIIT Pilates, add cardio with the Jump Board, build strength with the Tower, or focus on targeted goals through individualized instruction, we’ve got something for every body.
We are also proud to offer Instructor Certification Courses, empowering the next generation of Pilates teachers through comprehensive, real-world training.

Foundation Pilates has created something special that goes far beyond fitness. Being a Foundation Pilates member feels like being a family member, surrounded by positive and supportive classmates. Our fearless leader Becca is one of a kind, so authentic and empowering in the way she leads her life and her classes and how she welcomes us into her world and her studio. She also has extremely high standards for the other instructors, and every class, no matter the instructor, is led by someone who is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive and who ensures proper form and offers modifications to accommodate different levels and physical limitations. The thought put into the sequence and the care given during the class makes every class feel like a private session, with the bonus of the fun energy from our instructors and classmates. Taking classes regularly for the past 4 plus years at Foundation Pilates has made my body and mind the strongest yet. I highly, highly recommend Foundation Pilates and Becca.

Listen, coming from someone who finds little to no joy in working out whatsoever… Becca really did her thing here. And I will forever be a loyal client going forward.
She somehow made movement feel manageable—even enjoyable—for someone like me who’s usually dragging their feet just thinking about a workout. Becca is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but she also has this rare ability to meet you exactly where you’re at, without judgment or pressure. My first session felt tailored, thoughtful, and empowering.
I never thought I’d be someone who actually looks forward to showing up, but here we are. If you’re intimidated by Pilates or just haven’t found the right person to guide you yet, Becca is the one. 10/10 recommend.

I started at Foundation when my daughter was two, and I had lost so much muscle. It’s been five years now and I’ve never felt stronger. I began by doing one day a week and slowly increased over the years to three days a week! The way Becca adjusts your body for the correct form and always keeps me challenged, makes the whole experience feels so customized!

Such a beautiful, calming space! The studio is always clean, thoughtfully designed, and filled with great energy. I love how it’s not jam packed with reformers and feel I get so much attention. The instructors are always making sure to help me. Definitely the best studio I’ve found in Petaluma. I highly recommend the foundation studio.

I had never done pilates before and was a little intimidated to try reformer classes but from the moment I walked in Becca made me feel completely at ease. The studio has such a warm, welcoming vibe, and every instructor is so kind and encouraging. They take the time to explain the movements and offer modifications, so I always feel supported. As a firefighter, my job demands strength, control, and the ability to move well under pressure. Since starting Pilates, I’ve noticed a huge difference in how my body handles the physical stress of the job, especially with lifting, climbing, and carrying heavy gear.
What really sets this apart is the instructor’s knowledge. She understands how to tailor the movements to the real-life demands of firefighting. Every session feels intentional, focused on core strength, joint stability, mobility, and breath control…all things that help me stay strong and injury-free on duty.
Pilates has become a critical part of my training. It’s not just exercise, it’s injury prevention, performance enhancement, and longevity in the career. Every firefighter should be doing

This Pilates class is the definition of “sneaky hard.” You’ll leave feeling graceful and strong… until the next day, when muscles you didn’t even know existed politely (or not-so-politely) remind you they got worked. It’s low impact, but high reward — the kind of challenge that makes you feel proud, not punished.
The instructor is fantastic — clearly lives and breathes Pilates, with the kind of annoyingly perfect body that makes you consider giving up bread just to look half as sculpted. Her energy is motivating, her cues are spot-on, and somehow she makes you want to plank longer on purpose. Highly recommend if you’re ready to stretch, strengthen, and maybe silently curse (in a good way).
10/10 — I’ll be back… once I can walk normally again

I’ve been coming to Foundation Pilates every week now for about 6 years! Pilates has changed my body and helped me with any body pain I was having from being constantly hunched over at work. Becca is an incredible instructor. Her classes have such a creative flow that is perfect for any age or body type and leave you feeling like you accomplished a good work out!

Foundation Pilates with Becca is the best! This studio has been around for YEARS, and thank goodness for that! The classes are challenging and she offers modifications for anyone with injuries or different capabilities. Becca has over 17 years experience teaching Pilates and her instructing style definitely shows that. My flexibility, strength, posture, and confidence have all improved! The flow of the class is excellent and the ambiance is great. Easy to find location and an overall wonderful workout, every single time!

Showed up for class today after an embarrassing long time. Becca received me like no time had passed and simply asked how my body was feeling and if I had any new injuries to be aware of. I immediately felt confident that she would accommodate my needs with no judgment.
Becca’s master trainer experience is truly unmatched. Her flow when teaching is nothing short of flawless and symphonic. She is easy to understand and follow while somehow speaking not just to those in class, but I swear she speaks to my inner self/ soul.
The studio itself is simply perfect. Clean, comfortable, inviting safe and with PARKING!!

I tried Pilates for the first time at Foundation Pilates and had a wonderful experience. Becca is a great instructor--attentive, informative, and easy going but will kick your butt if you want her to! If you are looking for Pilates in Petaluma, this is the place to go.
