I joined Fox Fitness in 1/2025. I've been going consistently for about 7 months now. My reasons for joining were I hadn't been working out in many years and needed someone to show me proper form and technique when lifting so I didn't injure myself. I purchased some gym equipment and to me it made sense to find someone that could help me out a couple of times a week. Matt is very personable and good at learning the individual and going at a pace that is comfortable, yet you are still making progress and increasing weight etc. I would strongly recommend Fox Fitness and Matt to anyone looking to better themselves and workout regularly.

I became aware of Fox Fitness one day when I was watching GoodDay Sacramento. I was so impressed with Matthew the owner. I'm 65 yrs old and not good about exercising. I have a big fusion in my low back that has made it hard for me. Listening to Matthew's interview on GoodDay I was impressed that he worked with all kinds of people with lots of different issues and ages and thought this guy might be able to help me. So I went in for a consultation and it went great and I signed up for a 3 month course of weight training. He has worked with me and my challenges and I'm feeling really good. I'm not gonna lie it's not easy for me but his enthusiasm and encouragement has been great. I'm getting stronger every day. We also talk about nutrition and he has given me great ideas. I will be signing up for more sessions! Thank you Matthew. I'm so happy I found you.

Tyler has been my trainer and I have nothing but good things to say about her. Extremely knowledgeable, super professional, goes above and beyond to make sure you're always getting the most out of your workout (you will always be sore haha). Fox fitness has a clean and open environment, I am super happy that I found them. Also helps to have such great people close by in Orangevale, so many fitness centers are only located in larger cities and the commute being so short makes things super easy.

I joined Fox Fitness group training during their Ribbon Cutting event because I needed more structured exercise routine. Austin has been an amazing trainer to work with. He is patient and understanding of my knee problems. He modifies exercises to accommodate my knee but also provides the workout I need for strengthening it. I also enjoy being in a group environment which gives me extra motivation. I highly recommend trying Fox Fitness and the group classes.

After my Achilles tendon repair, I was looking for a trainer who could help me rebuild strength, stability, and speed for soccer. I have this condition called patellar tracking disorder and came to Matt for a solution. We worked on the tracking of my knee 2x a week for the three months. I got to say, my knee is finally staying in place and feeling more healthy. If you need a trainer who knows his stuff and you want to get results with guidance, Matthew Fox is your guy.

I'm a 70 year old man who's very active in the sport of baseball. I wanted to increase my strength, flexibility and endurance, so I contacted Matt at Fox Fitness to help me with this. I train with him 2x a week, for a little over 2-months now. He listened and tailored a program to my areas of concern. After the 1st month, my flexibility, foot speed and balance increased 2-fold. My performance on the field, due to his training also increased my speed, eye-hand coordination and lateral agility which equated to an overall improvement in my game.I highly recommend working with Matt to achieve your individual goals both on the field or court.

He's caring, concerned, involved and an all around great trainer. He works with you to reach your goals. His comprehensive knowledge on the body and nutrition is excellent. I’m a 46 year old woman who has been in the gym for years on my own. In my 20’s and 30’s I could go and see results easily. Everything would just bounce back quickly. Fast forward to my 40’s and I had a rude awakening! My body changed drastically. I was going to the gym 4-5 days a week and seeing literally no changes at all. I was doing all that I knew how to do and nothing was happening for me. I finally came to the realization that I needed a pro! After searching the internet I found Matthew and was instantly at ease with him. Great personality which made me feel so comfortable. He listened to what I wanted to get out of this and understood I had an injury we had to work around as well. After the first week with him I knew I needed this in my life. He pushes me to push myself and boy has my body benefited greatly! I was only going to try this for a few months but not anymore! If I look this good in 3 months I can’t wait to see what I will look like in a year! Worth every penny! You can’t put a price tag on your mental and physical health. I’m 20 times more confident in myself than when I started and I’m absolutely addicted to the results I’m seeing! If you are on the fence about hiring Matthew don’t be. It’s a life changer! I use to cry going to the store and trying on clothes. I bought everything baggy and black to hide my body. Now I’m only buying form fitted clothing, showing off all my hard work, and dedication and it’s all thanks to Matthew! I can’t wait to take my next 3 month photos!

When I first signed up with Matthew in November 2022 I didn’t know what to expect as I had never worked with a personal trainer before.

Pretty quickly I realized working on my physical health was much more of a mental challenge than a physical one. Thankfully Matthew is very aware of this and has helped guide me through the mental blocks (I’ll be honest, they were meltdowns haha.) He continuously works on doing what’s best for me and checking in on where I’m at. The patience he possesses is appreciated more than he knows!

Matthew always makes sure to celebrate the small victories (even if I roll my eyes and brush them off as nothing special.) He’s good about letting you know you’re doing well and keeping you motivated to continue on your journey.

If you’re thinking of signing up with him, I’d say just do it!
