I love this gym! I joined in Jan of 2019 and dropped 16 lbs in 6-weeks and I have KEPT IT OFF by continuing this program.I went from a size 8 to a 4, tight M to a S and sometimes XS! Most importantly, I learned better eating habits that I easily adopted, reduced my health risks, and feel ready to run a marathon! Scott and Gina are extremely talented coaches! Ted’s nutrition program is easy to follow. I can’t recommend this gym enough!

I quickly realized after meeting with Ted that Freestyle Fitness is a well rounded client-centered program that incorporates nutrition, fitness and technological tools that will help me meet my goals and sustain them. I look forward to my renewed commitment towards health with Freestyle Fitness!

The community and instructor herself were beyond encouraging, elevated (literally and figuratively), and warm. This was my first time doing HIIT, and I’d certainly do it again! All the demos of each exercise were precise and clear, the machines and equipment themselves were in terrific shape, and the fact that I could track my statistics (heart rate, calories burned, zone color, %) was my favorite part!
The space itself is quaint and charming, owned by husband and wife (conjoined yoga studio - easy to miss if you walk past it!), and has a cozy feel to it, unparalleled to other “gyms” that feel a bit more clinical.
I learned a lot that my body and mind could do, pushing through and reaching higher limits. I think my favorite was either the trampoline, or the rowing machine! Loved how there was a designated person in each team leading the countdown, very motivating. Highly appreciated the experience, and I hope everyone comes to Freestyle! :-)

The teacher was really nice and encouraging. I felt really happy after I left.I also really like the heart monitoring thing that actually tracks in real times to see exactly how you are doing. It also helps have there are other people to give you that extra lift. I will be coming back for sure.

Very intense and powerful workout but low impact. Came in not knowing too much and then the trainer did a great job educating me and creating a mega fan of the program. I ll be going weekly!! Already feel 10 times stronger and better after a few weeks!

PROS: Scott is a fantastic trainer. The facilities and equipment are nice. You get an intense, well-rounded workout in just 40 minutes.
CONS: This won’t be as succinct as my pros section, but I feel the need to warn the public that the “FREE” 6-week challenge that brought me and at least a dozen others I know of to Freestyle Fitness is itself a con, as it actually requires a $500 deposit. (Full disclosure: I balked at this reveal and was ready to leave, but the fee request was then lowered to $400 paid in two installments, and that felt a little less daunting, so I kept listening).
In order to get this money back at the end of the 6 weeks, you must lose 25 lbs or lower your BMI by 6%. For the record, if you drop 25 lbs in 6 weeks, you have more than doubled the CDC’s recommended healthy weight-loss rate of 1-2 lbs per week.
I was super skeptical since none of these terms or details were included in the ad that lured me in, which you can see in the attached screenshots. Here’s another red flag: you'll see some nearly identical ad copy being used by totally different gyms if you do a Facebook search for “6 week challenge."
To give credit where it’s due though, the salesmanship in the room was slick enough to convince me that completing this challenge successfully would be tough but possible. I followed the meal plan pretty devoutly, did 20 workout classes (two more than the minimum required in the contract), went on hikes and long walks on most of my off-days between workouts, and ended up losing a total of 13 pounds and 3% body fat.
Going by the CDC’s standards (and the general understanding of health that everyone I know has), these are great results that I am happy with in the grand scheme of things. Going back to the misleading promotional scheme at hand though, I now know that I never really stood a chance at getting my money back, and I would have a lot more respect for this business and its owner if he hadn’t worked so hard to convince me otherwise.
I’m especially irritated because his response to seeing my results at my final weigh-out was, “You can’t ask for much better than that.” If that's the case, it seems pretty dishonest to demand results that are twice as good in order to refund the deposit and make the program free as advertised. As far as I'm concerned, this comment inadvertently confirmed my suspicion that you are knowingly setting people up to fail in that regard. I should have trusted my then-larger-but-also-slightly-more-financially-stable gut.
One last caveat: aside from somehow putting your body through a nearly impossible and dangerously rapid transformation, there is one other way to get six weeks free here. Half-way through the challenge, you’ll be told that you’re doing great and you’re getting a special offer to roll your deposit into the cost of a membership. Now this doesn’t mean the money you already paid will be applied to cover any portion of a membership fee. Instead, you’ll just start paying a new monthly fee, and if you end up staying and paying for a full year, the small discounts they’ll apply each month will add up so that six weeks worth of classes will have been free by the end of the year.
So, yes, technically, there are ways this challenge can end up being “FREE,” but beware that the business model behind this whole thing is not nearly as good for you as the workouts are.

Freestyle fitness has been a lifesaver for me. I had been a runner for many years, but I sustained a leg injury. Switching over to Freestyle Fitness and its low impact philosophy was the right move. Ted, Geno and Candie are excellent trainers, and with the smaller class size it feels like you are getting a one on one experience.

WooHoo! I burned 450 calories in 40 minutes. Tech meets Fitness. Love this gym! A screen displays your heart rate in real time, huge motivator every second of your workout. Group classes - small enough where instructors actually have time to give every student personalized feedback. Instructors promote an encouraging and positive atmosphere. Excellent if you have a busy schedule. The workout is very efficient - intense work out in a short amount of time. Most workouts are boring to me, but not this one. You're never bored because you rotate through different stations every few minutes. I love the trampolines :) Decades of experience as a personal trainer, the owner, Ted is an A-MAZING, super friendly, family man, who lives in the community and clearly has his heart in fitness. He takes a holistic and fresh approach to working out. Check out the Freestyle Fitness FREE class offer on Yelp. Check it out! You won't regret it. A++

I really enjoy the fast paced 40 minute workout. I've seen an improvement in my strength and endurance since starting with Freestyle Fitness. The trainers change up what you do each class and the circuit rotations break up any monotony.

This is such an amazing workout facility with great high intensity low impact classes . I loved it so much!! It left me feeling refreshed and energized!! Such a wonderful workout that gets your heart pumping and body moving! The way the classes are designed was unlike anything I had done before-- In a good way!! The workouts are easy on your joints but still high intensity!! One of my favorite parts about this gym Is the heart rate monitor system they use! You get your own monitor and it projects on big tv screens throughout your workout. It shows your range / percentage -- and it definitely made me push harder. Every instructor is so great too!!! They are kind, friendly, fun, patient, and knowledgable. It's so much fun pushing yourself each week! AND THEY EMAIL you your results at the end of each workout so you know where you started and can track your results!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GYM!!! I saw results right away.

The studio is clean and has knowledgeable and attentive instructors. The 40 minute workout is based on your individual heart rate so you don't feel like you have to compete with anyone else, just yourself (unless you want to) ;) The rowers and trampolines make it fun rather than wishing it was over. Love it! Would most def recommend.
