This is our 2nd All Star Cheer season with FGC and Coach Analeia, it’s been a great experience for us. Analeia is a cheer guru and can perform all of the necessary tumbling, stunts, routines etc. with her skill set. She demands the athletes attention with her knowledge and physical abilities. She knows how apply her knowledge in a coaching format and hold the athletes accountable. Coach loves to develop cheerleaders no matter the skill set.

Not only does Analeia have a desire for a great cheer season, maximum effort/focus … Coach also wants to see these athletes grow up to be successful young ladies. She’s a terrific role model and she whole heartedly wants to see the athletes thrive and strive beyond the mat.

I’ve witnessed multiple athletes improve their cheer game and have their confidence soar (including my daughter) under Coach Analeia. FGC is a very nice facility and they offer a great support system for the families regarding all the things. The communication has always been great whether it’s FGC or the Coaches. FGC is a top notch, first class organization.

We moved to Fresno Gymnastics mainly for convenience, as it’s much closer to home. While it’s a great option for beginners or kids who just want to stay active, it does have some limitations. The gym is quite small, making it difficult to maneuver during class transitions. Seating isn’t ideal, and parking can be a challenge. There’s only one main restroom and a staff restroom, which adds to the tight feel of the space.

Compared to the larger gym we came from, this one doesn’t have the same flow, and I haven’t seen much skill progression in my daughter since we switched. If she decides to pursue competition again, we’ll likely need to move to back to the other gym. That said, for parents looking for a starter program or a place for recreational gymnastics, this could be a good fit. But for those aiming to excel in competitive gymnastics, a larger facility with more advanced coaching might be a better option.

Good school for the clovis area. I have been bringing my kid here for 6 months now. It's not really a place for beginners. Coaches are overwhelmed and can't provide the needed attention per athlete. Big Group settings make it feel like it is just a "for fun" setting. It's not a bad thing, just not what I expected.

This is just my daughter’s second session. I was really hoping to love it here. Everything is top tier here. I pay close attention to my daughter and her surroundings and how she’s being treated. My daughter’s coach does well with the older kids and who seem to know what they are doing.
The coach will show what to do at each station and tell each girl where they need to be. Then goes off to the older girls that know what they are doing and stay with them and practice with them. My daughter was at the trampoline station today 8/10/24 with another girl who’s new to the group and was asking what she needs to do and instead of it being a teaching moment the coach just exchanged words and walked away. This wasn’t the only time this has happened today it happens 3xs and then as well on her first time there. I’m glad there was other coaches helping this coach today and my daughter did end up getting a learning experience from another coach. But the fact that her assigned coach doesn’t show the same learning experience for the new girls… I agree with the other review below by Nicole Schemel that I feel like my child is being ignored. I will schedule her to another class and hope it goes better…

EDIT:********************************************

I would like to say that switching my daughter’s class has been such a turn around night and day change. My daughter went from almost going timid to ask for help because she knew she wasn’t going to get it. To being so happy to ask for help with a new skill. I want to applause coach Sydnee! She gives the same amount of attention to all her students and makes sure they have the fundamentals down before fully going into the skill and making sure the skill is being done right for safety. I also loved how she has her students lined up while they walk around the gym instead of a chaotic group and being left behind. I’m really glad the switch made a difference to our experience at FGC.

I will also like to add that not only I appreciate the reply I also got a call from Annie to follow up and making sure our experience at FGC was nothing but what we had hoped for.

I've been taking my 3-year old daughter here for a few months now and it is definitely a highlight of her week. The staff is friendly & helpful and the facility is always spotless. I love that the class sizes are small which allows for more attention for each of the kids. I also love that they have an open explore hour, four times a week, which is included in the monthly admission.

We had my daughter’s third birthday party here and it was so easy! I scheduled online, office staff called to confirm everything with me, and we just showed up! Coaches Hannah and Ryen worked at the party (along with one other coach whose name I’m drawing a blank on). They helped us set up for 15 minutes before the party and then played games with the kiddos and let them have free play. They offered to make it as structured or unstructured as we would like. After an hour of play time, we had 30 minutes to eat, unwrap presents, and do dessert. In hindsight, 30 minutes felt a little rushed so I wish I would have thought to ask to add on more time but it still worked out just fine. After the party, coaches helped with cleanup and helped load our car. It was as fun and easy as it could possibly be for a kids party! Thank you Fresno Gymnastics!

I really wanted to love this place. There were so many parts I liked. My 3 year old was in the tiny tots class for about 6 weeks. By the end he had slowly cought on. They vary the skills and think of creative ways to teach the kids. I love that there is something for everyone including adult class. There's generous makeup policy when absent and plenty of subs if a coach is out. The structure is great and I like the stations set up. The facility is clean and mostly friendly staff. My son loved "going to work".

This is definitely girl centered. There are no boys or gender neutral leotards. There are male coaches though. Coach Brandon was my sons sub his first day and was absolutely amazing with him. He had a very soft and patient demeanor that my son responded well to. He admitted he doesn't work much with the littles so it was a bit chaotic but I'd say he did very well. I also observed him with the sped students and I was impressed.

A few things I didn't like were that the sick policy isn't followed by all parents or staff. My son unfortunately got a cold from his first class where a child in the younger age group mom was constantly wiping nose and even admitted the child was sick making him miss his second class. He got sick shortly after his makup and 3rd class the following week with a fever
nausea, and severe fatigue for several days. The straw that broke the camels back was his last class where a child was coughing excessivly and left a little early. My son ended up with croup the following week. Missing more classes.

Another thing is each coach is very different. I think he was only with his assigned coach one time. Some rougher, some way too quiet and lacked confidence, some you could tell had more experience with young kids than others, and one gave my son a dirty look when he wasn't sure which class he needed to be in. It made my mother in law extremely uncomfortable.

Lastly, my son was brand new to a class like this and is only 3. Only one coach, coach kayla, took any time to show him what he was supposed to be doing when he was overstimulated and struggling. One class there was only one other student in his class and he was completely ignored the entire time. It was a missed opportunity to show him the ropes. I ended up having to walk him through myself before class and practice at home so he wasnt getting confused. It was very disheartening to see him eager and wanting to learn then at times be ignored and not assisted when he needed help. Coach Maddy and Coach Mikhaila were great with him. He was easily distracted with the two classes on the same mat and often got overwhelmed and when he didn't know what to do he would run off to explore.

When coach Mikhaila was solo with 6 kids, she was able to explain and redirect. I considered moving him to the smaller class with coach Mikhaila and believe he would have improved, but it's not wroth being sick every other week and not being able to go consistently.

I have been impressed with the professionalism from this gym, from the owner to the staff! My daughter loves coming to the gym again and has learned new skills and trusts her coaches, which is so important. Coaches from recreation classes to team are engaging and fun. We look forward to the new year ahead and what Fresno Gymnastics Center has to offer.

Happy 1 month open to Fresno Gymnastics Center (FCG)! Moving my 7 year old to this gym was the best decision. After trying out multiple local Gymnastic centers we have finally found one where the coaches LOVE what they do and it shows. They are all on the same page they teach form, are encouraging, and give the gymnasts feedback while still incorporating a very fun environment. My 7-year-old has improved and her confidence has grown in just one month since starting at this gym. She doesn't want to miss any days. I love that the coaches have their names on the back of their shirts so the gymnasts can just find their coaches and head right over to the them without feeling lost. The owner has a love for gymnastics and it shows. Look closely and you might catch her doing handstands on the beam alongside the gymnasts!

Wished they had more staff for the little ones as they require more assistances. Frustrating to see 1 staff struggling to help multiple children.
