I heard about this gym while I was in physical therapy for a shoulder impingement. I quickly learned that it is through exercise and movement that injuries heal - not through non-movement. Ginger and all the excellent coaches provide alternative exercises if you have mobility issues. So much of CrossFit is about mobility, and not necessarily strength. The coaches at G-Theory are incredibly supportive and genuinely care about proper form above anything else. Its members are encouraging and welcoming, making each work out enjoyable. I recommend this gym to anyone who wants to have fun while exercising and be a part of a wonderful community.

This gym is the BEST! Love working out here as they spend great time on teaching you the fundamentals and techniques before starting your workout. I have learned so much and really enjoy the people who are connected here! 5:30am Class is the best… get your workout done and feel accomplished.

Coach Ginger, owner of G-Theory, has literally changed my life. As a 66 year old woman, I entered Cross Fit with some trepidation. It didn't look like other gyms. There were no machines plugged into outlets and all around me were weights, barbells, kettle balls, ropes, bars, mirrors, equipment operated with human power AND the warmest, most welcoming and encouraging people. In a brief review it's difficult to capture how transformed I feel having been coached by Ginger. She is brilliant! So knowledgeable about the body, about cross-fit and about all the things we are never taught. She adjusts her style for every learning style-listening, seeing & doing. She adapts and personalizes based on where each person is. She gives equals amounts of patience and pushing you to your own threshold. I have regained strength, posture, balance, endurance and confidence! Working with Ginger has not only added years to my life, but years of vitality! If you're ready for a real change, this is the place!!

G-Theory is the place to be! I’ve always wanted to try Cross Fit, but was nervous about injury. Ginger goes above and beyond to insure safety and proper form. She cares so deeply for each of her athletes and is an amazing mobility coach as well. The whole staff is top of the line! Hope to see you in class.

I've been doing CrossFit for about two years now and have tried out several different gyms. G-Theory is outstanding-- coaches are more attentive and knowledgeable about proper form and mobility than any other gyms I've tried. Lots of personal attention if your new to CF- something you won't get most places. If you know the lifts already- Ginger and her staff will definitely be able to help you find ways to improve further. Drop ins are a great way to check things out, but if your new to CF I'd suggest committing to coming in 2+ days a week for one month. That way you can experience a variety of different workouts and begin to feel and see the fitness benefits.

Dedicated. Professional. Knowledgeable. Patient. Positive. Motivational. Selfless. DEVOTED! Just a few words that I would use to describe Ginger. I have never seen anyone that is so dedicated and has your best interest in mind. She stresses safe and proper use of equipment and form.
Can always expect a good laugh in every class!
Beyond lucky to have found G-Theory.

G-Theory CrossFit is a hidden gem in the north. I have been doing CrossFit for the past 10 years and thought I had great coaches until I met Ginger. Ginger brings a different philosophy to CrossFit with her ability to focus on the body mechanics, positioning, and recognize the potential each of us have. Ginger makes people feel motivated and inspired at 0530am!!

This is a great gym! The coaches create a one on one feeling even in a small group environment. They care deeply about all aspects of the training and really work with you on helping you set yourself up for success and advancement. In the little over a year I have been there, I have made large changes to my fitness and overall physical health. It is way more than just a gym! Fantastic place and happy I found it!

I am a new member. I was nervous to start, having never done CrossFit before. I was also intimidated, worried about my ability to do the challenging workouts. I am writing to share while the workouts are still extremely difficult for me, I feel like I’m learning so much every day. Ginger is an amazing coach, she spends time to help me in the areas that she can see I’m struggling with and makes modifications so I can continue to build up my strength to advance further. Today for the first time I completed the entire workout without modifications! Ginger is extremely knowledgeable and shares so much with the class, focusing on safety and form. G-Theory is a great gym where I am already increasing my body awareness and feeling stronger. Everyone at the gym is very supportive!

I love this gym! 100% recommend it to anyone to check it out! The coaches here are incredibly experienced and helpful. The patrons are friendly and welcoming, it is a great community to encourage and challenge you. It doesn’t matter if you have never worked out before or are an expert lifter the workouts are tailored to your level. Can’t do a pull-up? (neither can I) no problem, there’s scaling for that. Can’t do a push-up? No problem, they have scaling for that too!

I am a CrossFit coach from out of town and found this gym online. I'm so glad I did, too! The coaches were knowledgeable and the classes were challenging and accessible for all skill levels, from fire breathers to those brand new to CrossFit. I've been CrossFiting for several years and I even learned quite a bit from Head Coach and Owner, Ginger! The vibe was welcoming and the community was great. The equipment is brand new and the space is thoughtfully laid out. Programming and coaching was also top notch. If you're new to CrossFit or just looking for a new box, this place is a great spot to swing by, check your ego at the door, and get fit!

Ginger, I cannot thank you enough for helping me start to find "me" again...It feels great being able to push myself a little more each time and know I'm not broken and my body can still work. πŸ€—πŸ’™
I still fight fear, but I'm breaking through a lot and it's because of the environment you create, the confidence you instill, and the safety you provide with the way you share your instruction. It truly is unique.

I have a ton of friends who do crossfit on a regular basis and belong to various gyms so I feel compelled to put this out there for many reasons. You can get results at any gym if you work for it.. we all know that. Here is the difference. Our bodies change..I should know. I will be 52 this year. I have had Cancer in my body TWICE and as a cop suffered major body trauma. My body is challenging me in the worst way. Pushing myself has become critical. Changing my whole traditional gym thinking.
We ask for commitment from our physicians for our health, commitment from our clergy for our spirit, commitment from our insurance agents for our possessions, commitment from public safety for our protection...Why the hell wouldn't we ask for the same commitment from a trainer for our body. If there is one variable that is missing from most gyms. ..it IS that. Ginger will give you all the commitment she has plus that much more. Commitment from YOU takes courage and discipline....demand the same from your trainer.

*Excuse the name, it's a roller derby name*
My name is Alethea, I've been doing Crossfit off and on for 3 years now, due to circumstances beyond my control I've been out of the fitness game for 9 months or so, going from 4-5 workouts a week to completely sedentary. Two weeks ago a customer gave me G-Theory's card and I decided to check it out, I absolutely loved the idea of a female owned box/head coach. Ginger, the owner, is simply the best coach I've had to date. Many of my lifts needed form tweaking, with heavy Oly lifts you can hurt yourself pretty badly and Ginger is dedicated to making sure that doesn't happen. My other experiences with Crossfit coaches were focused on getting those numbers up, and form fell to the wayside, it's incredible that I haven't been hurt before I started here. I'm pretty much starting from scratch, bruising my ego in the process, I might have just given up entirely after the first couple of WOD's due to frustration with my regression over the last 9 months, but Ginger has been so supportive and encouraging I decided to push through and shove my ego aside. This week I'm excited to go workout, I'm getting my old "bug" back, that awesome feeling you get after a really satisfying workout that keeps you motivated to get to the next class. The people here are warm and welcoming, and I really feel like I've landed in the perfect fit fam for me.

I am a beginner at crossfit and was a bit scared about how things were going to go for me with it. I LOVE IT! Ginger is a great instructor. She cares about teaching the basics so you learn the proper forms. Everyone that I have met there is supportive and very encouraging.
I have been doing it for a month now and I already feel stronger and healthier. I know it's just going to keep getting better.
New or experienced, G-Theory has classes for you!

Ginger at G-Theory is amazing! She teaches you how to have good form so that you can remain injury free. She has a great 6 week course that is the perfect starting point and she will push you to reach your goals. One of the best benefits Ginger does is create a personalized nutrition plan. I highly recommend G-Theory.
