My children and I have been taking hapkido classes at G3 Academy of Martial Arts in Sierra Madre since the Spring of 2016 and we can only sing our praises about this karate school. Mr. Gapezzani and Master Darlas are 4th and 6th degree black belts with exceptional teaching skills. Classes are fast-paced, fun and orderly, and combine kicks, punches, self defense, fighting and falling techniques, with power breathing, karate games, work-out, etc. Seeing how my children and I enjoy and gain confidence through our martial arts lessons with Mr. Gapezzani and Master Darlas, several friends have since started lessons at G3 Academy. They are all equally excited about this place, hence I happily and highly recommend G3 Academy to anyone interested in children's or adult karate lessons.

My children have been going here for several years. Mr. Gapezzani is a knowledgable instructor and great with children. He has a fine line between fun and discipline. I highly recommend the studio to anyone.

Champion Karate Hapkido Academy is still going run by changing names! My child was with them over 5 years and this owner/salesman/"teacher" kicked him not once but 4 times leaving him bruised. He also did the same thing to another child knocking him flat on his face! He had been verbally abusing and this time we caught him physically abusing. I WOULD NOT feel comfortable leaving a pet for him to teach, let alone a child. He needs to stop playing the NAME GAME BTW the city could not find any type of licensing. So if you feel this is going to help him it's not, he needed to have a license the day abuse took place.

We looked around and decided to enroll our seven year old in this school. He's now been there a couple of years. We're delighted. The school is run by 2 gentlemen (advanced black belts) who individually have thirty years of instruction under a very well known hapkido master.

I have seen all age groups training. Traditional martial arts ethics and discipline are observed. The instructors know their students from beginning child to advanced adult and always look out for safety and levels of conditioning. Anyone at any level of fitness can start.

I have some knowledge of the martial arts world, and couldn't believe this caliber of school is in little Sierra Madre!
