Our daughter has danced under the direction of Miss Dorothy for more than a decade. She is a remarkable dance teacher who has just the right balance of compassion and motivation. I have been dancing with Miss Dorothy for nearly 10 years and I’ve loved every moment. She is very attentive to detail and technique and gives constructive criticism when needed. She is very encouraging and pushes you to do your best. Dancing at this studio has been a way for me to get away from the worries of the world for a bit and really focus on doing something I love. I highly recommend this studio to new, experienced, or returning dancers.

I have danced at the Galt Dance Center for twelve years. Miss Dorothy has taught me everything I know and love about ballet. She has not only helped me grow as a dancer but as a person. Miss Dorothy really cares about her students and gives us constructive criticism as well as praise when we do something well. Miss Dorothy and the Galt Dance Center introduced me to the world of dance which I fell in love with and have given me wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend this studio.

My daughters have been dancing with Ms. Dorothy for nearly 10 years. She is a wonderful teacher, firm, but caring. My girls love attending classes and performing in the recitals. Galt Dance Center is body positive and that is wonderful in a dance school. Ms. Dorothy teaches technique, and students are well prepared to audition for shows and further dance training. I highly recommend Galt Dance Center.

Miss Dorothy has been a wonderful teacher to my four year old daughter and her friends since she began taking classes almost a year ago. My daughter looks forward to her class every week. Miss Dorothy has offered so much flexibility to her classes with COVID, colds and flu’s looming. The zoom classes in particular were incredibly engaging. I appreciate all Miss Dorothy has done to continue to move forward. Last month we participated in our first recital. It’s was an incredibly memorable experience. To address the mask protocol, masks were required. This was relayed to us as parents and guardians far in advance. The communications were established via detailed flyers, emails, during ticket purchase, at the door, and with volunteers walking around with signs. Miss Dorothy explained to us well in advance that after not having a recital in so long due to the pandemic, she wanted to have as many people as possible enjoy the show safely. This was our responsibility to convey to our family and friends wanting to attend. Which for our family we did. There was also the option of purchasing a recording for future enjoyment. I won’t speak to what lead to the 45 minute delay in starting the show since it has been addressed in other reviews. I will however thank all the volunteers that helped our little ones during the delay. A child’s dance recital is not the appropriate place to make a political stand. There were other ways to enjoy the performance, not at the detriment of the kids, teachers and volunteers that have worked so hard to put on a show.

Special shout-out to the amazing mom that ran across campus and back to take my 4 year old to the bathroom 3 minutes before the recital following the delay. 🤍

This lady is very rude. I can’t believe she singled out this nice family at the recital for not wearing mask and got them kicked out when there was plenty of other people not wearing a mask. She had no reason to be so dramatic and call the police for a situation that is not that big of a deal, was sad to watch her reaction
