Gazelle Pilates is located in Sherman Oaks, specializing in personalized private training programs that meet your wellness goals. We have recently relocated to a larger facility of 1600 sq feet with a brand new hvac system, socially distanced equipment, equipped with medical grade air purifiers and are servicing no more than 3 clients at a time. We are one of the only Pilates studios in the area with a full suite of traditional Pilates equipment, including two Universal Reformers, Ladder Barrel, Cadillac and two Pilates Wunda Chairs all carefully crafted by a home grown Californian company, Balanced Body.

I can't say enough good things about Gazelle Pilates! I work with Maya and Sarah for my pilates lessons, and work with Maxi for my Brazilian massages. The studio is always super clean and very well equipped. The instructors are all extremely knowledgeable and put your safety first. You can tell they have a tremendous amount of experience and are not new to the industry, something I struggled with finding when relocating to LA. I suffer with scoliosis and some old dancing injuries that they are not afraid to work through really isolate to strengthen. Highly recommend giving Gazelle Pilates a try whether you are looking for small, intimate classes or private lessons!

I can’t say enough great things about Gazelle Pilates and the instructors! I was new to Pilates and so nervous to try a reformer but I signed up for their intro special and immediately became obsessed! Sarah has been amazing and has taught me so much in a short time. I feel more knowledgeable about my body and so much more confident with Pilates overall.
I now take regular 1:1 sessions with Sarah weekly and have taken several trio classes/ 1:1s with Christy who is also phenomenal! (You really can’t go wrong with any of the instructors there tbh) They’re super attentive, extremely knowledgeable and make working out fun and exciting. Sarah helped me reach all of my goals ahead of my wedding but has continued to help me build strength and build confidence in my practice. I couldn’t be more grateful to find Gazelle.
They also offer massage therapy services - I can’t recommend the lymphatic drainage and deep tissue massages enough! If you’re looking for private/semi private Pilates in a gorgeous, super clean studio with highly experienced/ knowledgeable instructors you have to try Gazelle! (And lots of parking!)

Fabulous Pilates studio! All the teachers are extremely experienced, friendly and encouraging. My workouts have gotten progressively more challenging as I’ve gotten stronger. And the studio itself is clean and calming. I highly recommend Gazelle Pilates!

This place is great. I mainly lift weights for exercise, and mobility, flexibility, and core have taken a backseat (to my detriment). As a person with a stiff back and tight hip flexors, I’ve already seen great improvements since starting here after only a handful of classes. My instructor, Julia, is excellent, and Sarah (the owner) runs a top-notch studio. Coming here has truly enhanced my current well-being, and I plan to keep this as part of my routine. Highly recommend.

Fantastic studio. I really enjoy the atmosphere and range of equipment in the studio. Julia is a very mindful in breaking down exercises so that you can excel in your fitness goals. She is patient and focused. Tiny adjustments have made a big change in Pilates practice.

I have been practicing Pilates for several years and Gazelle is an amazing studio. Julia is by far the best instructor I have ever had. Her attention to detail and body alignment is unlike anyone I have ever worked with before. Love this place. Julia (the instructor I normally see) and Sarah (the owner of the studio) are both fantastic. 3 months in, I feel stronger in muscle groups I’ve long accidentally neglected, have much better posture, and have mostly solved for my back and neck pain. Coming here really feels like an investment in my current and future health. Could not recommend more strongly!

Sarah, the owner of Gazelle Pilates, is amazing! Sarah has deep understanding of the principles behind Pilates, explaining the purpose of each movement and how it contributes to overall strength, flexibility, and alignment. In addition to her technical proficiency, Sarah possesses excellent communication skills, effectively cueing and demonstrating exercises to ensure proper form. Her clear instructions and thoughtful corrections helped me progress quickly and confidently, even in complex movements.

Gazelle Pilates is a wonderful studio! It is very clean and everyone, from Sarah, owner and trainer, to her staff and clients are really friendly. My trainer, Andrea, has an intuitive sense of the body, focuses strongly on proper alignment, technique. She is also quite accommodating, gentle and funny. I’ve been going to Gazelle Pilates since 2020 and I only have good things to say! Sarah is very knowledgeable and kind. She knows how to push you but also cares about your bodies well-being. I have been a client at Gazelle Pilates for over two years. I book private sessions twice a week and have worked with with several trainers there over that period, including Sarah, Andrea, Suzanna, and Christie. I have honestly loved working with every single one of them! The studio is clean and inviting, and all of the trainers and friendly and fun, and I consider the studio to be a sort of second home where I feel challenged and supported as I pursue my health and fitness goals. They always meet me where I am, but push me when I need it! SARAH IS A MIRACLE WORKER! I have had back, bone, arthritis, etc issues for years. I have seen every doctor and have done every kind of physical therapy, but nothing has worked.I found Gazelle because it was nearby and thought I’d try it out. BEST DECISION EVER!! I noticed instant results. Soon after I got pregnant I was told I’d be bed ridden by 6 months because of my back, but because of Sarah I made it full term with no bed rest. She has such a vast knowledge of the human body and the way it works. She figures out each person’s individual situation and uses that knowledge to strengthen them to their full potential. She goes above and beyond for her clients and believes in them wholeheartedly. You have to see for yourself, you will not be the same.

In May, I decided to sign up for Zoom Pilates classes that Gazelle Pilates offered. Here’s an account of my results! Just a quick side note, I’m more of a cardio girl so I definitely started as a level 1 in strength training. Having said that, during these classes I ran about 3 miles a day. For 3 weeks I didn’t run because I had terrible allergies. The First day was harder than hell, but doable! I was shaking so hard during the entire class! Sarah assured me that I was doing great and cheered me on. In the first class, Sarah was able to adjust my posture and alignment just by looking at me and telling me to take minor adjustments. The second day was much like the first. I continued to remind myself of my posture placement. I’ve been dealing with hip pain for a few years and I haven’t had hip pain since taking Sarah’s class! She helped me build strength to support a correctly aligned posture. I’ve been able to run faster and longer with NO hip pain! After the third class I swear I started to notice a lift in my butt that I never have seen before. After the fourth class I could start to see definition in my arms! By the fifth and six class I had increased my ab strength. By the seventh class I had noticeably increased my overall flexibility and strength. By the twentieth class I had developed visible muscle definition in my arms, legs, butt, and abs. I am actually able to sit up straight using my abs and not my hip flexors! I cannot stress the value of Sarah’s knowledge! She is so professional and lovely to work with! She encourages you to work hard but never over-stresses your muscles. I highly recommend her and her studio! She is the BEST!

I had a fantastic experience working with Sarah at Gazelle. I really thought I had done pilates before... I had definitely taken classes that called themselves pilates at least, so I thought I would have some idea what to expect, but it turns out that what I had experienced as "pilates" was not real pilates... and real pilates is much harder! Sarah basically gave me a really great intro session. I learned about the concepts behind pilates and she was super specific in the actual body work to make sure that I could feel what she was talking about. She was also not just adept at working with my back injury but also very knowledgable about the injury itself and how pilates exercises could help me in recovery. Suffice to say it was an all around awesome experience even though it was SUPER tough! If you want a real core workout, you've found it.
