Very good gym as far as machine variety goes. The cleaning team never stops cleaning which is refreshing. Minus one star for all the people that are unaware of themselves- taking 5 minute+ rests between sets because they got distracted scrolling on their phones or busy jabbering with a friend.

A fantastic gym for the Fresno area. They have all the equipment you could want including treadmills, free weights, barbells, Nautilus machines, TVs, a big locker room, and a pool!! The place was very clean and the staff were nice and helpful. I can recommend this gym to anyone looking to get back in shape!!

This is thee worst gym I’ve ever been to George Brown should be embarrassed to even have his name atop this place, sir your gyms are beat up and dirty, you should try investing some money into your businesses. Besides the obvious terrible condition of these gyms for some reason, they attract a “bad” crowd I would just say to try another gym, gb3 is not a good environment for health and well-being. The first impression one gets from the people at the front desk is terrible absolutely terrible l, I am canceling my membership ASAP.

Bad thing is sauna is co-ed and there’s a lot of weird old men. One literally walked into the locker room. That should be protected more. Thankfully everyone was fully clothed, but that should not be happening.

I've had a membership here for almost 20 years. One of the best gyms in the Central Valley area. Hands down. But yesterday I was at the gym and 80% of the bicep equipment was out of service. Due to replacement of padding mainly one machine was just Frozen. I believe 8 out of 10 were not working. There were no other equipment that was being repaired. Does the person that does the repairs not work out at all? How is anybody to do a bicep workout if they mainly use the machines when they're all down? It's been at least 2 days now. I know that you guys read these reviews and I wanted to make sure that they understand that doing all the equipment for one muscle group is not really a good thing to do at a gym. At least in my personal opinion.

Been to many gyms in the past 14 years. Gb3 by far has the worse service when it comes to the front desk. Every girl is always on their phone and won’t acknowledge you when you come or go. I had to remove someone on my account and the front desk employee just handed me a paper and got right back to their conversation. Never crossed their mind to explain how to fill things out or if I had any questions. Other than that decent gym to workout but TERRIBLE front staff.

The gb3 gyms do have a lot of equipment, but each location varies on atmosphere and what they offer. This location doesn't have a variety of classes, the staff are always on their phones and hardly ever look up when people walk in, the locker room/bathrooms always smell like body spray or hairspray or something, so it would be nice if they would implement, or enforce if there's already a rule, of no sprays in the bathroom. Not sure if the men's room is like that, or if it's just the women's. Also, disappointed that they got rid of the daycare, but what can you do. Overall, it seems like most people are good with wiping down machines after using it. If you use the extra amenities like the pool, steam rooms, then it's a fair place to come for your buck, if not, then perhaps a different gym would be better for your dollar.

Today I had a very bad experience at Gb3 on palm Street, with the girl at the reception in the afternoons, a blonde girl. I won't give her name because I don't know. When I passed the entrance with my husband, they told him that the month's payment was not there. We explained they automatically deduct it from our bank account, the lady insisted that NO because there was no account in our file, of course I had to show my account statement so that they would believe that they are paid monthly, . It is not my fault that the lady who keeps the records does not do her job or the system does not work, the only thing that is my fault is coming to this Gb3.

Almost perfect health club. Everything is nice enough but only nice. Not great. The pool is a strange Tetris shape so some lap lanes are wonky to swim in. Lots of equipment and TVs everywhere. Over all though, it didn’t feel like people enjoyed being there. I used to go here when it first opened years ago and the vibe was a little more lively then. Still, as good as it gets in the Central Valley.

**Bad experience**

My wife and I have only been going to this GB3 for about 3 weeks from transferring from Fit Nation and I love the transition. Better equipment, more room and sauna and so forth.
Also they have a kid care which I honestly was a bit sceptical from the beginning but my wife talked me into it. And my son who is 1 year and 11 months old loves the kid care because of all the toys and the slide BUT!

Something happened today at the kid care that made me worry in the first place about it. And it was something I was afraid that might happen. If you don't know how this place works. I'll explain quickly.
All kids can play here in the kid care.
With a few restrictions of course and rules.
To make it simple...

But my Son got PUSHED DOWN AND CHOKED! Today.
I was at work when my wife told me this. My wife was still In the gym working out and she didnt even get a phone call or they didnt even call her name on the intercom to let her know something bad had happened. She didnt even know about the situation until she was already done with her work out which is usually an hour or so.
And when she got there the other child was already gone and so were the parents. So we don't know if the other child was a 5 year old or another 1 year old who had choked our son...
I was furious and and extremely pissed out when my wife told me.
So I immediately called and spoke to the the girl In the front desk at the kid care and they couldn't answer the questions I had. So instead they told me that the manager was at a different location and that they would have her call me.

After 30 mins

I got a call from Mary the manager for the kid care at GB3.
She wanted to address the problem And told me that she just had spoken to the girls who were at the location where my son was choked at. She had told me that this exact child had already done something similar to another child and had a verbal warning. And that this time the child would get a 3 month suspension. And she apologized for what had happened. But after all she had told me I still felt like she didnt understand how dire the situation could of been. I mean this was my son who could of died, if the workers weren't looking while the kid was choking my son. And God knows how long he was choking my son for.
They even told my wife that my son might have red markings around his neck from being choked...
I think the parents should be punished as well as the child since it wouldn't make sense if the parents didnt have consequences for their childs action.

I do believe that if GB3 wants to better their safety In the kid care they should Install cameras In the kid care where the parents can check on their child whenever they like with the the click of their phones. If not at least have cameras In the general area of the kid care. Which would allow us to make sure our kids are safe.
Also the information that is given to the kid care is all written Down where as it should be put down in a computer, that way it can help prevent kids that are not allowed back into GB3 kid care and repeat something that happened to my son today.

I don't write reviews very often but I felt like this one had to be written so I could warn other parents like myself of things that may or may not happen to their children In the kid care at GB3.

I like going to this gym but the employees are VERY rude. I called 6 minutes after closing just to see if they would answer, because I had a quick question about my account, if they didn’t answer then fine no biggy, I would call tomorrow. And the front desk did answer, so I quickly asked my question and it was about about 1 minute and she said I’m not even supposed to be answering this question it’s already 6 minutes past closing time. So I said oh well you didn’t have to be so rude about it. Then she hung up on me!!! The girls in the front are very rude. And before I can even ask her name she hung up!! That makes a place like this have a low rating. I pay a lot to come to this gym on a family plan to be talked to like this. 👎🏼

And if you have no idea what to do well they have qualified training instructor's. One more thing! Update: dropping down a couple stars. It seems as though this location is starting to fall into disrepair. The machines need to be calibrated badly. About half the equipment is out of order.

It still beats some of the competition, but I think the monopoly that gb3 has in the north Fresno area is making things worse for customers. The clientele keep paying so there's not much reason to service the equipment.

For now the Cedar / Shepherd location is still in good working order, but it's only a matter of time before things fall apart there as well.

A seat was out of order and I didn't notice it for about 15 minutes. I left and came back and their was a sign that said out of order in it. Only one sign. It wasn't that noticeable. I wasn't the only one that did it to I saw a girl on the chair while I was doing my thighs. I thought I had got a good workout. I was using my watch to keep track of my rest time

In most areas had helpful spray bottles with paper towels to clean and disinfect. Great muscle group signs above grouped together equipment which is helpful. Most of the equipment was good but a bit dated vs some newer gyms. All in all a excellent workout facility, the manager was great in letting me, while I was in town, go ahead and come in and use my silver sneakers membership there even when they don't accept it!

I’ve been at this gym for a little over 10 years. I’ve always describe this gym as being one of my happy places to work out. I’ve utilized all the gym locations because I like to switch it up so that’s convenient. The majority of the time I go in the mornings and I’ve always felt the front desk staff isn’t very friendly, it’s not as if they’re unfriendly, they just don’t smile and every time I walk in they’re on the phones. I’m really not a stickler about these things but after going for the past few months I recognized a pattern and I never seem to get a “hello” or “good morning”; it just doesn’t feel very welcoming and it’s literally the only social part of their job. If you plan to use the amenities like the pool, sauna or steam room, the price might be worth it but if you’re just going to use basic level gym a equipment, I would opt for a cheaper gym.

I’ve been coming to THIS club for two months. The one closer to my home was not a good experience. The folks here are friendly and helpful. They greet me every time, and wish me a good day after my modest workout. The equipment is state of the art. The layout is easy to navigate. I really like the second story overlooking the pool area. I really didn’t enjoy that I never saw any personnel cleaning the equipment other than excessively mopping the floor in the stretching area. I also didn’t enjoy the fact that the employee who mops always seemed to Moo at the wrong time - when the area mopped was filled with people on the floor who were working out 🤦🏻‍♀️. Should at least wait until the area isn’t so busy as those chemicals are irritating. I canceled my membership. I returned to swimming for exercise and the people were great. I require a lift into and out of the pool. The maintenance woman came into the dressing room and offered to help me with my swim suit, but I had already put it on at my senior medical day center. It's a decent gym. At least half of the front desk staff seem sad and make no attempt to say "hello" and welcome you. Basic social skills and customer service. Even at times I've said "hi" and the 2 or 3 of them there say nothing, just look blankly like you aren't there. Awkward. The place is much better now that kids are not allowed in the pool area. The manager there Shelby is someone you can talk to, and he does seem to care. Coming back from a long layoff from Cancer he showed a lot of sympathy and understanding to my gentleman, and he made it very easy pleasant experience reinstating us!
