They make exercising fun and challenging. Not only do they show you how to workout the right way; but also how to maintain/create healthy eating habits along with creating a strong immune system. All the trainers are fun, friendly, and approachable!
The gym is very clean and kept up. You do not have to worry about people filming or taking up space to self indulge lol. Come join the family!

I’ve been going to Get Cut Fitness for about two and a half years now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! The entire team is so friendly, helpful, and motivating — it’s such a positive environment that makes working out something I actually look forward to.
All of the trainers are fantastic, but I have to give a special shoutout to Terra, who has been working with me for two years. She’s amazing — always encouraging, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in my progress. She pushes me to do my best while making every session fun and rewarding.

Get Cut Fitness is an incredible gym! The class sizes are small, which I love. This makes it possible for the instructors to be aware of each person and they are constantly helping you and making sure you are doing the exercises correct. All the instructors are AMAZING! My 3 year experience at Get Cut has been transformational on so many levels. I came across Get Cut after 5 years of positive experiences with two other local gyms. Feeling that I had hit plateaus and desiring something more challenging, I gave GCF a try and after one trial workout I was all in.
The small group workouts are so well designed and adaptable for all fitness levels that my wife, who was on a lengthy self proclaimed “exercise vacation” (other than yoga) joined me after completing a 6 week challenge. She has been dedicated, having fun and loving it for 2-1/2 years and counting.
I can’t convey enough positive words that equal what the trainers bring to every workout. They are always keeping an attentive eye on form to help keep injuries to a minimum along with being highly motivational and in my case show me little tweaks to bring an additional level of challenge, they are simply amazing. John, the owner, is the nucleus of all this and it’s purely evident he instills great energy and enthusiasm to his team as well as keeping the equipment at its peak and regularly bringing in new items to keep things fresh.
If you desire to have more functional strength than you could ever imagine, gain muscle, get coached on form, nutrition and performance you need this gym in your life. Trust their process, it flat out works and I can guarantee you’ll be sore but it will be SO worth it. THANK YOU GET CUT TEAM!

I’ve been a member for 2 1/2 years and I keep coming back because the workouts are always changing, I’m always getting stronger, and the trainers are really encouraging and friendly and everyone knows your name just like Cheers.
I really like how every quarter I can measure my progress with inbody scans, which are included in the membership.
The attached smoothie bar is convenient and they always have new recipes. The ingredients are super clean and even the smoothie bar staff knows your name here.

I love the selection of smoothies, there really is something for everyone. So much thought and research has obviously been put into the nutritional value of the combination of ingredients that I feel confident in ordering whatever takes my fancy that day. The option of adding supplements that help me get through my day is a welcome bonus.
I’m recently obsessed with Mt. Everest .. it’s my go to after my workout. I have even started ordering it before I start my class and it’s ready and waiting for me in the cooler. What a fabulous service idea!

I've always hated working out as an adult. That is, until I found Get Cut Fitness a year and a half ago. I love that it's a small boutique gym that fosters a sense of community.
I signed up for the cheapest membership, which only included group classes 2x a week. It's not cheap, but it's what keeps me accountable. Their limited schedule forced me to become a morning person and wake up early to get my workout done. I've realized I love doing that because I have more time in the day.
I'm so grateful for the trainers Abby and Terra, who enthusiastically teach the classes with energetic music, fix my form, and motivate me to be better. I feel a significant difference in my mood, energy, overall strength, and confidence level.
I'm so grateful for the owner John. He's always supportive and always greets me with a smile on his face. From day one, he was welcoming and made me, someone who's always been intimidated by big box gyms, feel at ease.

I am so GRATEFUL to the team at Get Cut. I’ve been considered “fit” all my life even though I’ve never joined a traditional gym. I practiced pilates in small studios and since 2020 I had worked out at home. During a home workout I injured my lower back and it took me weeks to recover. I decided to seek personal training so I could learn the proper techniques to lift heavier but also in a safe manner. I joined Get Cut in February 2024 and I’ve pushed myself in ways I never thought possible. I do semi-private sessions twice a week and I attend group classes at least twice as week as well. I am committed to mobility, excellence and strength. I love the semi-private sessions with Abby and Terra. They push me hard but they always check my form to make sure I am working the proper muscles.
I am at the top of my game in mobility and core strength. I have a love-hate relationship with the stair master but I have built a habit that even though I dread getting on it, I am building power with every step!!! That is the type of mindset that is built when you have a team of excellence supporting you in your journey.
My progress is confirmed by my body scans. Not only do I feel better and stronger but I have the numbers to back it up. Thank you John, Abby, Terra, Maggie and the smoothie bar team for being part of my journey.

5 stars! I’ve been a member at GCF for 5 years, and loving it. My wife and I attend personal and group training sessions together, but we end up doing completely different things because we have different goals. Every workout is different. The personal training sessions focus specifically on my goals, how I am progressing, and how my day is going. If I’m feeling energetic, my trainer will dial up my regimen, but if I’m dragging, then maybe we dial it down. My trainer is always there to make sure that my form is correct, and modifies as necessary. I also enjoy group classes which I can always count on a full hour of intensity, after which I end up at the smoothie bar. Kudos to John, Abby, Terra, Maggie and the Smoothie Bar baristas!

Just wanted to take a moment and share my experience thus far at Get Cut Fitness. As a mental health provider I found myself neglecting mySELF all the while giving to others. I had to find balance in this and challenged myself to find something, anything. I had looked at gyms, had memberships, but never felt “part of the gym” just a paying number. I reached out, connected with John, set a meeting up and YES was nervous about being convinced, persuaded, humiliated about having to join. BUT NONE OF THAT HAPPENED! Instead, I was met with dignity, respect, and understanding.
Three weeks in and here is what I’ve experienced:
* Trainers are supportive, knowledgeable, engaging and they have been so encouraging.
* Small group workouts are challenging, fun, and friendly.
* Feeling stronger, my balance is improving and I am carrying myself taller.
Most of all EACH time I am there, I am referred to by my name NOT by a membership number.
I’m feeling results, great results and am beginning to see results.

I love that my husband and I come together, which really helps accountability.
The work outs that Rich has designed for me are exactly what I need and his ability to see where key problems are and add small workouts or stretches particular for my needs has made a positive impact on how my body feels.
I most impressed with the ability of anyone in the team to be able to work us out to our needs and goals.
Classes are great as well and add a different element that I don’t get in the semi private sessions, I believe the combination of class and semi private meets all of my training needs well.

I have been going to Get Cut Fitness now for a little over 2 months. I have been seeing Nathan twice per week for personal training sessions and I can honestly say this has changed my outlook on life.
I did not come to Get Cut because I needed to be pushed harder to workout, I went because I have had chronic serious injuries over the past 10 years that have left me unable to workout on my own without being in severe pain afterwards. I am 32 years old and over the past 10 years, I have had about 25 shoulder dislocations, 4 shoulder surgeries, an ACL reconstruction, fractured hip, broken left arm, and in the middle of those injuries I was in a car accident that left me in ICU for 10 days with severe trauma to my head/brain, 4 fractured vertebrae, and a fractured skull.
I have tried for over 5 years to find a trainer that was able/willing to take into consideration ALL of my injuries and help me find my way back to being healthy and feeling good, but nobody was able to keep me going in the right direction and I always ended up spending a lot of money and getting nowhere.
I sent Nathan a chronological list of all of my injuries prior to my first appointment and to my surprise, he had actually read it all in depth and came to our first appointment with a plan of attack and he was spot on with everything. He watches every exercise I do very closely giving me cues when I am doing an exercise incorrectly or in a way that is going to cause me more pain. He will always ask how each exercise felt for me and the more info I give him back, the more knowledge I get as to why we are doing each exercise and what I am supposed to be feeling out of it to help my specific issues.
This has literally changed my outlook on life back to the way it used to be. Three months ago, I had accepted the fact that pain was going to be a major part of my life and working out was not an option for me, which is not a good feeling for being only 32 years old. Last weekend, I was downhill mountain biking in Mammoth and riding better than I was 10 years ago and most importantly, smiling the entire time. Personal training is not cheap, but I cannot put a price on my physical and mental well being because money does not matter if I don't have that.
My training experience has been with Nathan, but John has also been engaged with me the entire time and greets me by name every time I come in.
From what I have seen, this gym will give you very customized results depending on what you come in for. As with any trainer, the results are equally dependent on the amount of effort you put in, but I can tell you from personal experience that the harder you work with them, the harder they work for you.

The worst gym in the area and one star is set by default that I did not give.
Keep your money for something better. John is usually more interested in your money than anything else. His trainings privet or group suffer fairness. He does not take a responsibility to guide you toward your goal, as he advertises. During my sessions, he made appointments and instructed contractors at the gym. That was a high price to pay for such a training.
$50 for almost half an hour of training with other clients to be specific.
He also whistled when he wanted to get my attention. I thought that was a deal breaker because it is so disrespectful. His energy as a trainer was not always there and I did not feel motivated or "pushed" to my highest potential. I mean, that is what I was paying him for right?
He never lists the names of the trainers with the schedule in case you want to mix your trainers, or if there is one trainer you feel does better for you. You do not have the option to choose your trainer. How can this be an individualized fitness program if you can not even choose your trainer that you might be feeling little bit more comfortable?
John also always changes things as he goes, and things always benefit his packet, not your results.
John does not distribute his time equally among clients, so your session will suffer and you will not get your fair share of training as a paying client. He focuses on one person, or one area throughout a session by ignoring rest of the class. So, you will pay for someone else to get his/her privet session in a group settings and that's not fair.
Also you will upset him if you ask to change the exercise for whatever reason. His attitude is not at a right place, and every one knows it. I have also heard comments about his attitude from others more than once. I do not want to say names here.
The challenge is also unfair, because John picks the winner based on his preference. He favors some clients for some reason and it is so obvious. I am new to Camarillo, so I don't know the culture that well here, but it should be fair. There is a pay pool which means you are the one who will pay for the prize and they will hold your money posing for the photo.
John also found fault with me whenever he could. For example, he said I missed what he told me because English is my second language. Yes it is, and I have a science degree, 16 years engineering career and a published book written in English. So you can congratulate me for being here and forgive me for my minor error. This was so hurtful.
So, you gotta find a better place and invest your money with someone who honor, appreciate and respect you as a client. John simply is either tired or don't care. He takes your money, but does not take care of the business. His approach for the gym is a cookie cutter approach and this means there is nothing individualized about it. We each need specific thing from workout because we each have different body and different goals. We need a trainer who shows up for all of us with his expertise to guide and motivate everyone equally. Equally is the key word here. You are here to do something healthy for yourself and you pay for it. This becomes an unhealthy environment for the reasons I have mentioned above. I hope you are able to connect the dots.
There are new and refreshing options(that is truly represents no kidding modern day gym and delivers cutting edge fitness program in a healthy and welcoming environment ) in Camarillo that you deserve to be part of. Explore your options and take action accordingly. This is positively not that place, I can assure you.

I joined Get Cut Fitness in May 2017 and it was the best decision I could have ever made. I have enjoyed the entire experience and journey over the last year and can honestly say I love to exercise now. John has created a great program, and his team is always there to help or answer questions. I’ve gotten to experience both group training during the Challenge, and now the Functional Training Program with help and guidance from both John and Nathan. I have enjoyed both programs and look forward to continuing my fitness journey with Get Cut.

I love this gym! Great trainers and a small group environment. It really helps me keep motivated with my workouts and the trainers really help with form and coaching. If you are looking for a cost effective personal training program you have to try this.
