The gym used to play their music low now the new management is playing the music, so loud at night that it seems like you’re in a night club. Everybody has their own choice of music that they listen to when they are working out we don’t need to turn our headphones all the way up to listen to our workout music. #KilllingMyVibe

I’ve been a long-time member of this gym without any prior issues. However, I’m now experiencing difficulties while trying to cancel my membership. I was informed that I must pay an additional $40 for a month I won’t be using, yet this policy was never disclosed to me upon signing up. I have no problem paying the fee if the gym can provide documentation that I acknowledged this charge at the time of enrollment. An employee mentioned there should be a form confirming this, but when I asked to see mine, I was told that due to a system change, my account had been wiped leaving no record beyond my key card number and basic info. It’s unreasonable to expect payment for a policy that cannot be substantiated with proper documentation. I’ve learned that others have experienced similar issues, which appears to be a result of poor record-keeping. I requested to speak with a manager, but was told I could not contact them directly and would receive a call instead, which i understand. I run a buisness myself and can understand the challenges but the lack of customer service and ownership is awful. I have yet to hear back. It’s disappointing that employees are left to handle these situations without support, especially when they themselves are unsure of the process. I’m still waiting for a response.

I enjoy this gym, BUT I ENDED UP GOING TO THE GYM AFTER 11PM AND NONE OF THE GATES FROM THE PLAZA WOULD OPEN TO LET ME IN, REGARDLESS OF HOW CLOSE YOU GET TO THEM. Was never even warned or told what to do about this situation. It let me exit after 1am on a previous occasion, but thats beside the point. So much for it being a “24/7” gym

Great gym. But would be nice if the vending machine took Card. I bring cash & now it says CHANGE only. How are you going to bring in a vending machine for energy drinks that doesn’t even work properly.

Been going to the gym for many years and sadly seen such a huge decline in management. The staff is not very welcoming. It seems like all they care about is how much money they can get from you. From “cleaning fees”, to sudden price changes without notice. Then when you call the desk person, Valerie from Newman, she is not helpful at all. Very rude and does not care to resolve anything. Whenever something arises she loves to pull out that the owner is her nephew card. She also loves to believe you can read her mind and never explains anything in detail, thus causing over charging, followed by her saying “i assumed you knew”.
The owner as well does not seem to care much about his clients feedback and quickly suggest that we can look for another gym knowing that there is not another gym for miles. if we have just a small issue. I understand as an owner he has more responsibilities opening new locations, whilst ignoring and not maintaining the gyms he has opened. When I had noticed I was getting overcharged for 2 months i had it brought up to Mikes attention and he of course took care of it. I had asked Mike if he can reimburse me for 2 months since it was their fault I was getting overcharged and seemed like the logical thing to do since i did not get refunded the money back from the overcharge. Mike then said he couldn’t do it because it was not Valeries fault for the over charge it was my fault. I took a step back and was shocked how quickly he made me feel belittled and stupid. Instead of taking ownership for what valerie said she insisted that she had no recollection of saying certain details. Whatever happened to the customer is always right.
I know it may seem like im the only one who is complaining but i assure you there are others who are complaining about the same thing.

I WARN PEOPLE. THIS GYM IS NOT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF PEOPLE RATHER THEMSELVES.

As a gym, this place is great. It has decent equipment, it has plenty of space, and overall clean for the most part. My main issue is the maintenance of this place. The wipes are almost always empty, the trash is usually spilling out, and there is literally no toilet paper every time I’ve had to use the restrooms. I enjoy the early morning workouts so if someone is able to make sure everything is restocked before your office hours that would be awesome.

Very unprofessional gym in terms of management. Can’t get through to a manager to talk over membership terms. Got told that the manager “didn’t want to talk to me” because it’s not her concern. That level of unprofessionalism blows my mind. Definitely not the gym you want to go to over here either. Their services are not the best.

Very unprofessional gym,you cannot get in touch with managers. I had a family emergency and live in Georgia. I was working up there for a short job and they will not let me cancel they are turning me into collections. I offered to get the contract faxed over. This place is not even worth one star.

Very nice staff, clean facilities, very quick and answering the Instagram, and when I go at night (2am) I feel like a super rich person having the gym all to myself!

Also, the variety of services that they have here is amazing! You could train as a professional athlete here – they even have cryotherapy!

Get Fit 24/7 is a great club! They're constantly adding new equipment and new features for their members. The facility is always clean and it's open 24/7! I love that I get to work out on my schedule and not when I'm told I can. I highly recommend this place!

No one answers the phone, just an obnoxious voice-mail message everytime I call and no one will bother to call you back. Makes it hard to cancel your membership. I've gone inside as well and no one was there. I've been charged for the whole year and I don't even use it. I don't live in Merced anymore so it's not easy to go in. Wouldn't recommend.

My experience there has always been great, the owner is a cool dude & the staff is nice.
Only thing I would complain about is people blow up the bathrooms and there is no fan to get rid of the stank. I guess courtesy flushing is no longer a thing but we should really bring it back lol

I’m new to Merced (Student at UCM), and because the gym on campus is super crowded, my friends and I have been looking for a gym that’s off campus and is open 24hrs. After class (Friday 10AM), I went to Get Fit 24/7 to see if a staff member could give me a tour of the place and talk to me about signing up. When I got there, it was pretty quiet (which I like), but nobody was there to greet me. I looked around but didn’t go too far (didn’t want to get in trouble) to see if there was a staff member I could talk to and saw an empty cubical. I waited for about 10 minutes awkwardly in the front with a view of the cubicle in case someone were to come back, but nobody came. Basically, it’s kind of hard to sign up for a gym when there isn’t anybody around to give you more information and answer questions you may have.

Well I like the gym. Went at 1 AM and the gates were closed. Was never taught how to get in if the gate is closed. You can only exit when your car is close enough. Tried to use the calling system machine outside and no luck. Waited for like 15 minutes hoping someone would exit to rush in and no luck. Super lame experience for a 24 hour gym.

Great 24/7 gym in Merced! New equipment is awesome, spacious area inside, and everything is kept clean. There are separate sections made for cardio and weights and there’s also a separate cycling room which is nice. Unfortunately, there are no lockers inside the bathrooms but other than that everything else is amazing!
