About the Club

The mission at Gimme CrossFit is to help the community around San Dimas improve their quality of life through fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle. We find that getting those 3 factors aligned can help people reduce body fat, increase lean muscle, and improve energy levels dramatically.

We work with the best Personal Trainers in San Dimas who specialize in a wide range of different topics, including weight loss, muscle development, and health optimization.

Our coaches offer: Personal Training, Group Training, Nutrition Coaching, and Accountability to help you reach your goals. Every member starts out by sitting down with a coach for a free 1-on-1 coaching session to make sure that we provide you a personalized program for success.

After three months at Gimme Crossfit, I couldn't be happier with my experience. I've done Crossfit back in 2012 but had to step away after an injury and back surgery due to ego lifting. Finding a gym that prioritized safety and smart training was essential for me, and Gimme Crossfit delivers with its Level Method system. This approach ensures every workout is tailored to my specific fitness level, which has been crucial for rebuilding my strength and confidence without fear of re-injury. In just a short time, I've seen incredible results, dropping from 198lbs at 23% body fat to 190lbs at 19%. The weekly InBody scans are a huge motivator and watching my Level Method improve each month proves that my hard work is paying off. I also appreciate that Yajen takes the time every month for a personalized goal review, going over my InBody results and providing guidance. The coaches and community are amazing, creating a supportive and motivating environment. The gym is well maintained, ample workout space, has air purifiers and AC/ fans-- great for the summer. I went in as a total beginner into Crossfit and Coach Martin was welcoming and emphasized good technique. He communicates clear work-out cues, and explains how certain functional movements are relatable to something we do daily.

The gym uses The Level method, which assess the individual's level of fitness. This method allows individuals to identify areas of improvement, monitor their progress, and benefit from monthly assessments provided by the gym- at no extra cost.

This gym is located in a hustling plaza and nearby Trader joes, Target and two popular thai restaurants in the local area. Its off the 210 FW, and although parking gets busy-- the lot has people coming and leaving. I've also noticed theres a sense of community among the members. This is the kind of gym where you can either go in get your sweat on & leave, or hang-out afterwards to catch up. It's what you want to make of it.

Having failed to maintain the discipline to stay fit on my own a year after retirement, I noted Gimme Crossfit's perfect 5-star review score and decided to schedule a visit. The first thing I thought upon entering was that this is by far the neatest gym I have ever been to. Second, I did not have to wait at all; Coach Yajen was very punctual. Third, I realized he was serious about my well-being when he started by asking what I was hoping to get out of signing up with his gym. Then he gave me a realistic outline of what I could expect from this type of training.

Once I began going to classes, I saw that the coaches really enjoy what they do. They even invite members to join them for events outside the gym (such as indoor rock-climbing, pickleball, and Spartan races) for which they have no financial incentive. The community of members is so cheerful and supportive of one another that I did not feel out of place, even on my first day.

Three months in, I am surprised that I could still regain strength and conditioning so significantly at my age. But what has truly amazed me is how Yajen continues to follow up. He uses objective measures, such as body composition scans and the Level Method criteria, to report my progress to me, in writing, every 1-2 months. He sends text and email messages reminding me to show up for these measurements. He checks in with me whenever I go too long without asking him any questions. He knows my weakness (poor eating habits) and periodically nudges me with specific suggestions to improve. I had been with several fitness trainers, and even another Crossfit gym, in the distant past. I can honestly say none of them had ever shown this level of dedication and integrity.

I was asked to join this CrossFit from a buddy of mine. I had never been to a CrossFit before and was a little intimidated. The first day they took my assessment which gave me a baseline of where I would start my workout in regards to weight and challenge level. This was very reassuring and made me feel comfortable in doing the crossfit.

They also were very knowledgeable in helping with my weight loss and in the matter of 6 months I was down 30 lb. Everybody that I work out with and the trainers are very knowledgeable and it's a great group of people which I now call friends , they are consistently encouraging one another to do better and get stronger 💪🏽 If you've never been to a CrossFit before this has to be the one pick. They are very friendly knowledgeable and encouraging to your goals. They do assessments once a month to make sure that you are on track and they will notice if you don't show up which is kind of nice. I highly recommend it and I want to thank all the trainers for keeping me on point

We love Gimme CrossFit! Yajen is simply the greatest! Knowledgable, professional and encouraging. The trainers are all friendly and great at what they do, and the gym and its members have been welcoming and encouraging from the very beginning! My wife and I are in our mid 50s and could not be happier. They have a level method at the CrossFit gym. Everyone can go at their own pace, continue to set their own goals and challenges, while also having the support and camaraderie from all. All the coaches here are knowledgeable and understanding. They will always push you to your limits but never force you to do something uncomfortable. It’s been a few months at Gimme Crossfit training facility. There’s variety in the classes, it can be as hard or easy as you want, if you’re a beginner don’t be afraid by the word CrossFit. It’s set up for all levels of fitness. Yajen, the owner, is friendly & a great trainer.
I really appreciate how well-kept & clean it is. All the equipment is in great condition.
Everyone’s friendly, and although it can be tough showing up, I never regret attending a class, no matter how hard the work outs may be..
It just takes the thinking out of it. I like going in and someone telling me what workouts to do, fix what I’m doing wrong and know I’m getting my body moving .

I may be a special case, but I think my experience with Gimme CrossFit gives a glimpse into the kind of gym they run.
I have Parkinson’s Disease and during the past ten years my body has atrophied badly. Once a lifelong athlete, I’ve been reduced to something resembling a prisoner serving a life sentence on a remote island. The muscles in my legs and arms, well, all my muscles, were decimated. Once I weighed 205, but when I showed up at Gimme CrossFit, I weighed 152, at 6’1”. I was tired of the mamby-pamby workouts I was put through by PD physical therapists which seem to be designed to keep you only at a subsistent level, not to build strength but only to not hurt you and to keep you from getting worse. At Gimme CrossFit, I explained my situation during a half-hour introductory session with the gym’s founder Yajen, who listened intently, took copious notes, and clearly took a keen interest in helping me. He discussed with me some options of what I could do to save myself from total ruin, including plans for muscle recovery, diet, costs, the whole reclamation project. There was no pressure whatsoever to sell me. He obviously knew which options would achieve the results I was after. I began by attending two private half-hour sessions a week working one-on-one with Yajen one day and his colleague Felipe the other day. No one else was in the large barn-like building but me and the trainer. (Later in the day people who are not taking individual instruction populate the gym in large numbers but the gym is large enough never to feel crowded.) Yajen is a master trainer who told me how my body would react to each exercise before I knew what was happening. Felipe is completing his Masters degree in sports physical therapy at a SoCal university, on his way to a PhD. Each trainer, in his own way, is wonderfully supportive and enthusiastic. They want me to succeed, not merely because I’m a client with money to spend, but because they are deeply invested in helping those who try to help themselves. Believe me, I’m seventy years old and not easily fooled. Both trainers work patiently with me, allow sufficient time between exercises for my muscles to recover, and explain in detail the reasons for each part of the workout, which vary with every session. They are very attentive to how I respond to each exercise, careful not to push me too hard, but hard enough so that I make progress. After only a few weeks I am noticing a distinct difference in my strength and balance. I am not sore, only healthily challenged by the workout and ready for the next workout after two or three days rest. I’d call it a miracle except I see my progress is the result of their careful planning. I’ve been in a lot of gyms and in many sports training environments, including the major chain gyms, but never one so supportive and knowledgeable as Gimmie CrossFit. They have restored my hope that I may yet fight against the progressive disease which has been destroying me these past many years. I am deeply grateful to have found this gym. Ten stars out of ten. I didn't realize the benefit of working with a personal trainer until I found out that I've been doing a few exercises wrong all my life. I literally started going 1 year ago and I have to tell you my experience with Yajens team has been a great one. I never would have imagined that I could keep up a 3xs a week regiment for a whole year. Please take note when I started I was 445lbs and my exercise level was non-existent. Yajen and his group fitted each routine for my level and ensured my safety and gave positive motivation. Even though each workout is challenging, I never felt like I could not complete what was scheduled for that class. The team took the time to explain each movement and made sure my form and technique was on point before we added any weight or strain. Honestly I am getting stronger each week and I’m gaining muscle I never had before. My mobility, balance and endurance is also the best it has ever been. I never stuck to a workout routine before I came to Gimme CrossFit. I would always join a gym membership only to be throwing money away. I didn’t feel like I had guidance on how to workout. Coming here has been great because the coaches have helped me get stronger by working out, what feels like every muscle, every class. I have been training her since day 1 they open. Overall, i love this place. Not only the trainer is professional and super helpful, also the facility is tidy and clean. What really stood out about Gimme CrossFit is the community. My experience with Gimme Fit Personal Training was pretty great. My coach was easy to work with and clearly communicated all the required steps that I would have to take to reach my fitness goal. The pace was really accomodating. I'm a super lazy person to begin with. But we didn’t jump into overdrive (like many other workout programs do) so I really got the opportunity to adjust and get used to all the lifestyle changes that were necessary for me to become fit and stay fit. BEST PART, I can now be in great shape and not have to give up my ice cream!

Update:
So Covid-19 happened.. and the gym had to close temporarily. I thought this would be a great excuse to slack off. But Yajen didn't let that happen. We had some online meetings to talk about goals and he posted some workout videos for me to follow. He even let me borrow a kettlebell so that I would have something heavy enough to lift. Now that the gyms are allowed to open back up, I was invited to go back in. But airing on the side of caution, I decided to continue my home workouts for now. Yajen did not pressure me into returning straight away and still checks up on me to make sure I'm still on track. I'll definitely be returning once this Covid-19 situation clears up.
