Wonderful Taekwondo school for kids! The instructors are supportive, disciplined, and truly care about each child’s progress. My kid enjoys every class and have grown more confident and focused. Highly recommended!

This Taekwondo studio is the BEST martial art to go to. As a 2nd Dan Black Belt, this has been the best experience ever for martial arts. You get to learn punching, poomsae (forms), kicking, and more! If you wanted to do martial arts, I recommend this one.

Google is the best, since my son, Angel, started practicing Taekwondo at Dream Us Taekwondo with Grand Master Pak. It has been the best experience for him and an inspiration for my daughter, Debora, and we are grateful for this. Now, with the new ownership of the Grand Master, Kim, and Master Douglas, I was skeptical but decided to give them a try; if Master Pak trusted them, I believe we should give them a chance. I can see that they have the same care and a lot of improvements in the training. I am a kind of tough person and like to see stricter practices than what is currently in place. Thank you for continuing the legacy. We miss you, Master Pak. Thank you for all the years and for taking care of my kids and leaving them in the best hands.

Prior to changing to GoGoole TaeKwondo from Dragon, Mr. Park has rigorously trained and discipline the kids there. Regular practice of poomsae, skills repetition training and belt test. Now, the new owner runs it pretty loose, kids were undisciplined, and regular practice of poomsae diminishing. They missed their belt test entire summer, causing many parents left the program.

I've been going here for around 5 years now and I can't say how amazing this dojang is. It's grown me not just as a martial artist but as a person and introduced me into a wonderful community of people along the way. When I started, I didn't even know how to kick a bag. Now I've placed 4th in the World Hanmadang for my age level and continue to grow every day. 100/5 stars!

The new owner Douglas, as of 9/2024 cowered over me, yelled, bullied me, cussed me out in the presence of many children for 20 minutes while I remained calm & cried after 2 months of silent treatment. I was extremely kind to him until I spoke up of his unprofessional behaviors. I’m grateful Douglas didn’t physically injure me. He acted to me, very controlling, easily angered/irritated, inpatient, very negative, quick to blame, & took things personal easily. I felt extremely uncomfortable even though I tried to appease & be kind to him for 3 months. Please see if he responds: being mature & professional to make things right and admit wrongs, is apologetic, showing genuine care and concern for people or the complete opposite. My experience was that I was not treated right, but rather minimized, blamed, accused, & treated as second class as a woman, especially when I was sincere, honest, solution-oriented, & helpful. My experience was that I was always treated with disrespect by Douglas if I didn't submit to him 100%, which is unhealthy. He told me not to speak Korean at all because my Korean is bad but I did it to gain understanding.

I witnessed Douglas put down children/customers/parents when he & I were alone. He was easily angered, negative, showed just interest in money, lacked professional positive communication & problem solving abilities , gave silent treatment or yelled, & input taken the wrong way, treated as a threat not solution, not valued. It’s narcissistic behaviors & Douglas didn't represent self-awareness but rather, a lot of backlash if anybody disagrees with him or has concerns (even questions)-especially pertaining to money. I was mentally emotionally distressed putting up with this for the sake of advancing to 2nd degree black belt but found a much better dojo that offers national/state/local competitions, Olympic style training, more adult level training (children too), professionalism, assurance, hears me out, is diverse, positive/loving support, & I'm told I'm family.

Douglas put me down, saying no dojo would accept & want me since I spoke up about his mistreatment. He denies his unhealthy behaviors & tries to appear a good person in public. Behind closed doors, Douglas was vindictive to me. I got tired of Douglas bashing parents & children behind their backs. I didn't want to become like him. I'm spreading awareness so nobody gets treated inhumanely. Douglas has confided he gets into issues w/customers, that he knows he's difficult, that people don't like him but I had tried to help him nicely feeling sorry for him. Many parents are speaking about this & leaving.

The good reviews before 9/2024 are for the former owner Master Pak, a good man who is positively supportive, confidence building when it was Dream US Taekwondo. People & I were happy/united w/Master Pak. I had zero issues used to be Dream US Taekwondo. Master Pak looked out for us. I don't recommend Gogoole because it's not based on respect, values, morality, self-control, discipline, love, & honor for people (especially women & children). When I discussed the 5 Tenets of Taekwondo, I got yelled at more, mocked, ridiculed due to Douglas's pride & arrogance. There are other women reporting the same.

Coach Cole & Master Kim are passionate, talented teachers but they won't confront Douglas & stand up for concerns to keep their jobs. I was very disappointed & sad about this because those coaches are kind. It'll be directed to Douglas, who worsens the issues. I got yelled at when 3 coaches told me different exam dates. It was inadequate communication. The more I sought clarity for confusion the parents & I had with the new system, more backlash by Douglas. I cared & just wanted to do my best. Prices for black belt testing & sparring gear are overpriced-It is 6 times cheaper online-same exact gear. I’m a future pastor, Dr of Medical Psychology, & volunteer martial arts therapist to empower/help victims, so advocating for this not to happen to others. Please protect yourself & your children. Thank you for reading & best to your search!

Please do not be fooled by the positive reviews given 3 months prior to the date of my review. Those positive reviews were for Dream U.S.A. Tae Kwon Do, the previous dojang at this location. GoGoole purchased the existing business from Dream around September 2024. Unfortunately, GoGoole is nothing like Dream. GoGoole is attempting to ride the coattail of Dream’s amazing accomplishments. Trust me, GoGoole is not a place you or your kid wants to be.

My son started his TWD journey with Dream in October of 2023 when he was in kindergarten. The owner of Dream, GrandMaster Pak, is an amazing person and teacher. He truly is a rare find. GoGoole is a stark contract to Dream. When ownership changed around 9/2024, there was no formal announcement that ownership had changed. The new owners claimed that they were co-owners with GrandMaster Pak, but that is not the case. GrandMaster Pak has retired and no longer teaching any of the classes.

The new owner, Douglas, is the extreme opposite of GrandMaster Pak. Douglas is disgruntled and hot-tempered, lacks self-control and has no appreciation for his customers. As an example, I spoke to Douglas to remedy an issue with the membership agreement. Our membership fees with Dream was $160 a month for twice a week. The membership agreement GoGoole wanted us to sign stated that the membership fee was $200 for twice a week but there would be a discount if members enrolled in the monthly autopay. I had no issue with signing the membership agreement and was willing to enroll for autopay; however, I needed the membership agreement to correctly state that our discounted rate was $160 a month. A reasonable request, right? Well, not for Douglas. He quickly became confrontational – yelling that he wouldn’t change his agreement terms for me, and belittling me saying that everything is in his agreement and I didn’t know how to read it. I kept pressing him to show me where it states that my membership fee is $160 a month. I have no issue dealing with rude people like Douglas. At one point, likely because he knew his point wasn't coming across, he said, “You know I have the right to refuse your business,” which I found funny. I told him that he could and asked if that is what he was doing because that would be bad business practice for his new business. His threat was empty – he yelled that I didn’t have to sign his membership agreement. When I asked then how I can make my payment, he said he would invoice me. He had to have the final word and told me “never come back [in the office] again.” I just laughed inside. He is basically a bully.

My son and I have met some amazing kids and parents while at Dream, and it’s sad to say goodbye, but I refuse to support a business run by Douglas. I find it ironic that someone with his character is running a studio to teach others about respect and discipline when he has no ounce of that in it. It appears that Douglas is going to be teaching some classes and there is no way I would want my child to be taught by this man.

GoGoole’s makes inaccurate claim that they are “renowned as the only school in Torrance with 50+ active Black Belts”and they received the highest review scores in the South Bay area on the Yelp app. These are all Dream's accomplishments. Further, GoGoogle attempts to deceive new customers by not changing the business signage (still states Dream U.S.A).

We stuck around for 3 months with GoGoole for the community and friends we met. I’m glad we have moved on. In my last interaction with Douglas, he made comments that he wanted to raise prices but didn’t. They have changed the make-up policy. Required members to be on auto-pay for a discounted rate and then informed members that in December they are closed from December 23 to the new year with no pro-rated membership fee. Very clear that Douglas and GoGoole are only interested in their interest – and not serving the customers and kids. Glad we are out of this organization. There are plenty of other great Taewondo dojangs and matial art studios that will appreciate you – go find another place.
