I completely understand that gyms have policies in place, but I have to be honest, I find the idea of a strict two-year contract to be extremely unreasonable. Life happens. People lose jobs, get injured, move, or face unexpected circumstances, and locking someone into such a rigid agreement doesn’t leave room for real life.

As a business owner in Morgan Hill, I hear feedback from a lot of people in the community and a ton of my own clients have experienced the very same struggle of trying to cancel with your gym. Many of them share the same frustration, and it’s clear this policy has already cost your business countless members.

I truly believe there should be an easier, more flexible way for members to sign up and also to cancel when necessary. Health and fitness should be about supporting people through life changes, not penalizing them for circumstances beyond their control.

I hope your company will take this feedback seriously and consider creating more member-friendly options in the future. A policy that balances structure with compassion would go a long way in showing you care about your members, not just the contract.

I’ve been training with Diana for the past 8 months, and she is hands down the best trainer I’ve ever worked with. Her passion, professionalism, and eye for detail shine through in every single session. Not only did she completely transform my body, but she also made the process fun and enjoyable.

Her sweet, funny personality made me actually look forward to working our sessions. She strikes the perfect balance between pushing you hard and making you laugh through the burn.

I joined in January, staff is always very friendly and the gym itself is always clean in the mornings when I go. I have been training with Diana since I joined and it has been the best investment I have made! If you are just starting on your fitness journey or have a specific goal in mind, trust me, she will get you there! She is the sweetest but will also make you put in the work! She has pushed me to do more than what I thought I could. If you have the opportunity to train with her, take it, it’s an investment you won’t regret! I will definitely be going back to her. Thank you Diana for being an awesome personal trainer!

I enjoy working out at golds gym. Especially with my trainer Diana Rivera who has helped me achieved my goals for the last few months. She has shown me a lot of helpful tips as a gym beginner and helped me reached my goals as well. Overall, I highly recommend working out at gold gym and if you are able to sign up for a trainer then I suggest training with Diana Rivera.

The gym equipment is average at best. They could defiantly use some better machines. The staff is friendly and the gym is typically pretty clean. They bathrooms are gross! There is no ventilation in them and it just smells like you sitting in an out house all the time. The main issue with this gym is the ownership. They don't give a shit about the business or the clients. When things break it takes forever to get them fixed. Why not have spare parts on hand? You know pulleys and cables are constantly going to wear out and break. You should have 10 spare parts of all the wear and tear items in stock at all times. Its unacceptable to take a month to fix a machine. That should be done the same day in most instances. The sauna broke two months ago and they haven't done anything to fix it. They don't even have any time line on when it will be fixed. This is your business!!!!! Try caring about something besides your bottom line. Client have been complaining for two months and nobody cares. But they manage to charge my credit card on time every month.

Gym amenities are decent - same as other Golds locations I frequent regularly. However the management here is subpar. My vehicle, parked right in front of the cameras, was hit by another member while parked and unoccupied, and the manager Liz was witness and even helped to look for me and gave me a verbal statement for over 15 minutes on the phone of what occurred. After the party who hit my car denied doing damage - despite ample evidence it was him - the manager, Liz, refused to give a written statement to me, my insurance company, or the Gilroy Police Department regarding what she witnessed. Said she “didn’t want to be involved”… yet on the day of the incident she was more than willing to be involved enough to walk him around to look for me and speak with me on the phone for 15+ minutes. When it came to documenting the incident - “Golds is not responsible”. I wasn’t trying to hold her or Golds responsible for anything, just needed her to put in writing her 15 minute phone call to me, she was the main witness… Hope no one gets injured, property damage, or theft here - management (Liz) will just say “I’m just so busy” and dodge emails and calls for months if you need their help. I even asked her in person to email me a quick paragraph of what she witnessed and she “was just too busy”. (Upper management said it was up to her to cooperate or not with what occurred. and she REFUSED). SMH. Embarrassing for a “business”.

This gym is terrible. The manager Liz was super unprofessional, she stated that instead of properly up keeping the gym that I could just cancel my membership if I’m unhappy. I voiced my opinion on the many issues the gym had and was met with hostility and criticism. Never have I met a manager who did little to nothing for her business.

Friendly staff, always greet you as you come in. Signed up for PT with Diana, she is amazing. Very helpful, and encouraging. She explains how to use the machines and do the exercises. She never let me give up, she believed in me even when I didn't. Will definitely sign up for more personal training sessions with her. Absolutely horrible representation of an iconic brand. Just relocated to California and have been a member at multiple locations over the past 30 years. Currently have an all gym access account but apparently in Gilroy, CA that doesn't work there. Walked in and inquired about what needed to be done if anything since I will be in CA vs TX. They said that I would need to sign up there and if I wanted to work out as a guest they would need to call my "home Gym"
Once "I" figured out where my card was tied to they proceeded to call the gym and verify my account was in good standing. Even planet fitness can verify by scanning your card or entering a phone number but not Golds in Gilroy. After verifying that I am a member in good standing they proceeded to have me fill out a guest pass that was only good for less than 2 weeks. I asked if they could just switch my account over and they said no " dis a franchise" - Mind you I heard "dis a franchise" a min of 3 times in the whole conversation. I asked what would need to be done? They responded I need to cancel my other membership and sign up for one that is only valid at this one location ?? I thought are you kidding me. Why would anyone cancel an all Gym access to go to just one facility. I proceeded to contact the corporate office in Dallas, TX. Needless to say that not only does this "Franchise" not represent the GOLDS GYM brand the individuals working there do not have an service related skills. I am excited to venture out to another facility in Gilroy to train at and to the owner of Gilroy Golds Gym, the RSG Group should revoke or at least investigate your staffing, training, and hiring policies.

Wonderful facility, great equipment and is new, spacious and clean. But TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT: no greeting each time I come in or leave, and such a LOUD HARD ROCK MUSIC The blond young guy at the front desk is constantly on his phone, could care less about customers and thinks he is a DJ and that it is his free time to enjoy HIS type of music.
The women exercise room was at 80F yesterday!!!! The blond guy had no idea how to fix it; I turned the thermostat down myself, it was set on 80F!!!! I complained to the blond guy to turn his music down and asked him to put on the regular music that is at Salinas, Hollister and Monterey gyms, but he did not changed it nor turned it down. His co worker suggested I go on the other side of the gym (that does not have machines) if I did not like the music!!!!! I was up all night with a terrible migraine and I sure hope I am going to see a change at this gym as soon as TODAY!!!! I have a two year membership and I want to enjoy it. These should NOT be happening. It is completely unprofessional.

She cares and is professional. She makes you have a great experience. She has been the only professional staff member there.

Took a tour of this gym since my neighbor recommended it and I didn't like the other gyms I looked at such as anytime fitness or valley fitness. Golds gym is newly remodeled, has friendly and knowledgable staff, and it seems well organized and maintained. I will be checking out other gyms in the area but will probably come back to this one.

Gold's gym is no longer available in this same location. The new name of the gym is (GFF) Gilroy family fitness. The owners have tossed aside the name and created their own brand and created some very nice areas for kids while maintaining a great workout area for the current and future members.

When we first moved to Gilroy, it was hard trying to find a new gym that could live up to the standards that we had in our hometown gym and "Golds Gym" now "Gilroy Family Fitness" came up. We went to check it out and we were helped by Javani who gave us a tour around the facility and gave us the details. He even gave us a week pass to try out the facility because we weren't sure what gym to go to yet. A few days later we decided to go with this gym and we haven't been disappointed! Its very clean, staff are friendly and the trainers are always so kind and helpful enough to share some workout tips and advice. One thing I enjoy about this gym, is its willing to accommodate to everyone with several classes to choose from. Overall, this gym has so much to offer at a reasonable price! It's truly a great gym for family!
