I’m only giving 5 stars because I love the Zumba instructors Sandy, Thamara, & Jennifer. I love their energy and style. Other than that, I would give 3 stars. Equipment is old. No matter what time I go to workout, I’m waiting 5 plus minutes to use machines. It feels pretty crammed as well.

I’ve had a golds gym membership for a little over 3 years. When I tell you that over theses 3 years, the machines are always broken! Without fail they are constantly broken and because of that people are often unable to workout and have to result to doing different workouts. The treadmills in the movie room have been broke for MONTHS. They barley fixed the stairmasters. Most of staff is so rude! Especially the girls. One girl though she always wears a pink sweater always is very kind and always very friendly and greeting. The rest of them are always too busy flirting with the people that come in instead of helping the people off to the side. Everytime I would try and ask for help they act like we are a burden when all they do is press the gate button all day to let people in. Honestly, save your money. If it wasn’t for convenience that this gym is next to my house I would not come back !

Got a 7 day pass and yesterday on my 5th day they told me it expired!!!! What the hell

What happened recently is I made an account around 4 days ago the gym has non stop been blowing up my phone! Planet fitness doesn't do that I'm gonna switch back. They called me 3x back to back like a stalker. Im cancelling and never coming back I even asked if they have a pool and they don't!

Came to try thw 7-day pass & on the 1st day I was already being pressured to purchase membership & training sessions. Sat down for about 45 min talking about it. Man kept on repeating himself until I let him know I wanted to try the gym 1st before making any decisions. Finally I went to work out in the cinema & half of the machines weren't working & the movie wasn't even playing. Went to try other machines & they were missing pieces. Came back the second day & couldnt find any entrance to the gym. It took over 20 minutes to get through the phone to ask for guidance. But phones weren't working. When I tried to check in they couldn't find my information in the system even though I gave them my ID a day before. This gym need alot of improvement, communication & structure.

Leaving this gym in West Covina a one star only because I can’t give it no stars. I walked up to the front desk because I was interested in looking for a possible membership and wanted to at least know a little bit about the gym. The front desk clerk would not answer any of my questions until I signed a waiver. Her service was terrible, and unfortunately, she happened to reject a city worker. I’ll pass it onto to the rest of the city workers in West Covina on how bad it was so they don’t sign up for memberships here.

Despite the negative reviews for this location, I decided to give it a try. I arrived around 8 PM on Thursday, September 18, and checked in for a free pass. Poorly managed gym. Equipment always broken which understandably enough, it'll happen but for MONTHS is ridiculous. Come on the weekend and restrooms are TRASHED, never restocked. I feel like the one maintenence Hispanic lady that has been here for YEARS is the only caring employee. Offer her a promotion because she's shown commitment and respect towards members. The employees spend their time up front flirting with members instead of tending to the gym. You're telling me you don't go into the restroom to pee during your shift to communicate the lack of responsibilities you witness to and back?

If your lucky enough to find a machine that isn’t broken, under repair ( I singed up in Feb and the same machine had been under repair since) be prepared to walk around looking for those stick things that fits that machine since they’re all missing…and if you find one it might have been a waste of time since a lot of these machines are stuck at a specific weight…look at the pics, by the way I have a lot that I’ve showed to management and he just laughed and said I don’t know why corporate is taking so long to buy new equipment

Been going here for about a year because it’s really close to me and got a good deal. Machines get broken often and they take weeks to get fixed and the pins for the stack loaded machines are sometimes missing. Paper towel machines are often empty and spray bottles missing so a lot of the times you can’t even wipe the machines. I think they keep the ac off to save money so upstairs it feels like a sauna. I rarely see the cleaning crew, attachments and weights are always on the floor. Bathrooms are sometimes clean, two of the sinks are broken and I think one of the urinals. I always see 3+ workers chatting at the front desk and they rarely greet anyone and even give you attitude sometimes lol.

I went to this gym to take a tour and 5 min into it, I knew I would NEVER come here again. Machines are rusted, the cable attachments are all over the ground, weights left all over the ground, there was NO A.C. When I walked in, it was hot as crap and I was just walking around so imagine how hot it would be when working out.

One of the worst golds I’ve been to; machines are broken, not bolted (safety hazard), maintenance workers are lazy, clean up crew (doesn’t really exist), dirty and gross, their cleaning stations are always all out of paper not to mention not a lot on the floor. Yup, there is a reason why it’s rated 3.7 Stars. First time here and not knowing its rating. Off the top i told one of the employees that there was no TP in the men’s stalls. He acknowledged and said he’ll take care of it….welp…an hour later still nothing. Not the cleanest in the men’s locker room. I visited at 6:30 am so obvious no cleaning crew over night. There ya go.

This gym is trash, I signed up already but if you haven’t don’t…restrooms are always dirty and running out of toilet paper, machines are always out of order or fixed improper, pins are missing from all assisted machines…they no longer give tags so you have to download the app to scan but they have to manually buzz you in but there’s never anyone in the front desk so you have to wait for someone to come and let you in…based on all this with unusable machines, price point, along with the hours everyone is better off at a planet fitness

The guy in the front told me I don’t need an appointment and that they’re usually not busy. I asked him are you sure because I don’t mind making an appointment? He said you’ll be fine. We’re not busy they should be able to take you in. I come in the people in the back are obviously not busy and they told me that I need an appointment. I explained the situation and he said yeah I hear you I could schedule that appointment for you and I’m like. Can I come in today and he said no. This Golds gym is disgusting and poorly managed. Some of the equipment is broken and old. Bathrooms are in deplorable condition and would be cited for health code violations. No toilet paper and so members used the seat covers and then through them on the floor. This is at 7:00 am. The staff at the front desk showed no concern over the issue I bought up. Stay away from this Golds gyms and by all means don’t sign up for a membership here unless you plan to use othe Golds gyms in the region. The management and staff should be terminated.

This gym/ladies room is the best in the area id say because the amenities all consistently work unlike Rancho for example, which is newer and beautiful but half the time I've ventured out there, the steam room isn't on/working.

However, the showers, sauna, and steam room could be a lot cleaner, and this shouldn't only be left to the staff. PSA to my fellow ladies. Seriously consider how gross it is to bring outside shoes into the sauna/steam room. It's bad enough the written rules aren't followed and ladies constantly come in with sweaty gym clothes. It literally says no shoes / outside clothes. SHOWER BEFORE ENTERING it's extremely terrible self hygiene but also extremely disrespectful for ladies who want to use the spa as it should be used. Google proper European or Korean spa etiquette PLEASE. At least bring shower sandles if you're not going to bring a towel or swim suit for the sauna / steam room. The steam room is the most filthy of all, people literally step up onto the stairs and seats with the shoes that just went through the gas station, parking lot, gym floor, etc etc like COME ON. That's a complete disregard of hygiene and common sense. This happens at every gym honestly but this steam room is consistently the dirtiest. It's not difficult to pack a towel and shower shoes if you don't want to bring and an entire change of clothes. Some ladies have given me weird look for being in there in nothing but a towel at times but ironically they come in fully drenched in sweat and mixed surface bacteria while I am actually following proper spa rules and etiquette that's posted eye-level on the doors as you walk in. ‼ Seriously google European spa hygiene and adjust for the consideration of others and everyone's HEALTH

But I'm updating my review to another 1 start because I am paying like $54.99 monthly with like $100 annual fee and they're offering new members like $14.99 with $100 monthly fee. I call up to cancel and they asked why and I said it's too expensive. They say ok no prob to cancel. So they send me to another number for a call center in the Philippines. They ask why. I say too expensive. Then they say okay. And I cancel it. Better off going to Planet Fitness I pay $10 there anyway.
