Greenheart is a wonderful studio with experienced and knowledgeable instructors. My yoga journey began 18 months ago at another studio where I overdid some poses, which caused me to be practically immobile for three weeks.
That's not happening here because the instructors are mindful of each person's limitations. I have progressed here at Greenheart at a comfortable pace and foresee steady improvement. I highly recommend practicing yoga at Greenheart.

This studio is a community oasis. Every teacher brings a unique class and are truly classes for every body. Clarisa puts out tea after class and uses all the props for a truly comfortable experience. If you want to feel better from head to toe and all the emotions in between, do yourself a favor and try this beautiful studio. I leave inspired and open every time I join this spiritually driven studio’s classes.

I just started Yoga with ClassPass couple of months ago and visited couple of other studios, by far Greenheart was a better choice, I started with Clarisa and found her to be friendly and very professional.
The new studios environment is very relaxing and welcoming, class sizes are very good.

Really like Clarisa. I went to some other yoga sudios, even though they have fancy music or instruments. It feels not right. But with Clarisa, I like her voice and her teaching. Everybody else is very nice to new people.

Really nice & welcoming environment to practice yoga. Clarissa, the owner, is also an excellent teacher, as well. The other teachers & Kelly, who manages things, are always helpful & never pushy about getting you to sign up as a longtime customer. The atmosphere here, including the clientele, are so approachable & friendly to newcomers.

The one thing that sticks to my mind is how comfortable all my classes have been. Ive been taking the restorative classes. What I personally enjoy is the classes are designed to each individuals level of comfort in the poses. My experience in the past is there are a set of poses which you could feel pressure to do. Not here. That is not to say you're not walking away from a tremendous experience and feeling you have calmed your mind, body and soul. It is as good a yoga experience as I've had in practicing Yoga for over 25 years.

I love this yoga studio. Prior to coming here I was doing hot yoga, which I really enjoy still, but it can be very competitive. I felt like I needed some more soothing body work that incorporated meditation/mindfulness. I took advantage of their 30 days unlimited for $88; a great deal. I tried a couple of the restoration classes with Teri, some Hatha classes with Clarisa and a vinyasa class with Amber. They also offer kundalini which I've yet to try, and they offer a sound bath once a month. If you're looking for a new studio or just need a change of scenery I recommend giving this place a try. It's a warm and welcoming place. That intro deal makes it no-risk. Namaste🙏

I've spent the last twenty years bundled in stress, constrained by anxiety, captive in my computer chair, misshapen by the demands of my phone, and strapped in traffic behind the steering wheel of a car. Thankfully, Greenheart Yoga has been activating me with the tools to unwind, recenter, and restore in a safe space and comfortable environment so that I might continue to cope with stress and anxiety for another 20 years without having to feel bent out of shape.

Love the atmosphere and pacing at this studio. I started as a beginner several years ago and the teachers like Clarisa were very welcoming and sensitive to my individual needs and starting point. The teachers encourage each practitioner to listen to your own body and proceed on your own journey of improvement. The yoga studio is airy and relaxing and sometimes classes are offered on the roof. Love the soundbaths and special art events. The shop carries beautifully curated wellness gifts – I have purchased essential oils, a foot massager, beautiful hand-crafted glass, and my favorite scarf from the store. I have been to other studios, but I like the atmosphere at this studio the best…I always leave feeling relaxed and replenished.

Greenheart is my home away from home. From day one I've felt embraced and included in a community of open and loving people. All the teachers are gifted and inspiring. Encouraging and so supportive! It's a fun, safe and peaceful place to take time out from my busy days. I also enjoy the gift shop and the uplifting messages on the front window. Worth every penny! Bonus: the monthly sound bath should not be missed. Don't have the words to explain it, but it touches my soul.

It makes me very sad to be writing this 1 star review, as I absolutely loved practicing yoga regularly at Greenheart via Classpass before COVID. My friend and I had stopped doing yoga for all of COVID and decided that 2023 was the year to get back to Greenheart. We booked a restorative class through Classpass and showed up early to check in, sign waivers, and grab a good spot. What I did not realize that they now charge a rental fee to use their props, which can be applied as store credit for their gift shop. It was stated in the Classpass description to bring props or pay to rent, but I honestly forgot. I have taken many restorative classes before (many of them at Greenheart) so I knew how much restorative relies on props. However, I could not afford to pay what would have been close to $15, maybe $20, to rent all the props needed for the class, when I have blocks and blankets at home and could buy less expensive bolsters online than what they sell in the gift shop. I figured it would be fine to take the class without props and that bringing just myself to my practice would be enough, as it has always been with every other studio I’ve been to in my 5+ years of doing yoga before COVID. After all, I would be the one missing out on the benefits of the props, not the instructor, right? And aren’t all yoga instructors are trained to meet the person where they are and make modifications?

Well, apparently not at Greenheart anymore. Clarissa, the owner, came over as we were already set up on our mats and told us that we needed to rent the props through them or we would not be allowed to participate in the class, as we did not have props of our own that day. I tried to explain that forgetting our props was an honest mistake and it was literally our first class at Greenheart in over 3 years. She showed zero empathy or flexibility. I’ve never been to a studio in LA that charges to use their props. This has always been an amenity included in the class/membership fee or not offered by the studio at all. I also have never been told I could not participate in a restorative class because of what equipment I owned or was able to afford. I happened to chat with an elderly lady just before being asked to leave, and she half jokingly said that she “needed a donkey” to bring all the stuff needed for class. Even customers that have or can afford to have their own props find it a big inconvenience to bring that much stuff to every class. I understand that the studio has policies, the instructor has a plan for their class, and that it costs money for the studio to sanitize their props. But to refuse entry to a class like that was very unsavory, not inclusive, and just seemed like a pure money grab unbecoming of a business owner.

I really wish Clarissa could have offered us a one-time complimentary use of their props, or even a reasonably small fee of $5, and we would remember to bring our own props next time. As a “welcome back” gesture, given that we were already there and on our mats. I would have gladly sanitized the props after class myself even. But it seems that she would rather alienate customers than be flexible. Or perhaps because we booked through Classpass, we weren’t seen as a big loss to begin with. From the other negative reviews on Yelp from Classpass users, it seems like my experience is not an isolated one.

RIP to the kind, warm, and welcoming studio that Greenheart once was. I hope you find your way back someday.

Great yoga and beautiful studio. Teachers know their students by name, gently correct asanas and pay attention to the class. I was welcomed warmly into my first class by the teacher and other students.
It’s a studio where not only the physical part of yoga is practiced, but also the philosophical and spiritual.
I tried several studios in the Pasadena/San Marino area and Green Heart the only one that does real yoga!
I highly recommend it to everyone practicing or interested in trying yoga for the first time!
Plenty of free parking too 👌

Greenheart Yoga and Meditation Center has been my go-to yoga studio for over 3 years. Clarissa, the owner, has created a welcoming oasis. Classes are great with friendly yogis of varying abilities. The instructors take the time to find out if you have past injuries that impact your ability to maintain certain poses and always have suggested accommodations that make sense for your body. There is a true sense of community here. Love the monthly sound baths, as well as the wonderfully curated boutique.

Greenheart Yoga is a treasure to the community. Just take a drive by and read the message in the window - it will lift your spirits and help you practice mindful self-compassion, something we could all use more of! I have felt very supported and cared for here in my practice. Amanda's classes are wonderful - I love both the Yin and flow classes. I always feel more whole, integrated, stronger, and happier after practicing here. It is a beautiful space with beautiful people. Even if you're not ready to practice (though I highly recommend giving it a shot! They will care well for you as a beginner), the store inside is worth a visit, as it is full of beautiful items that would be great gifts. Basically, I love this place, and I'm so thankful for it!
