WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Iβve been trying to cancel my membership since June 2025; itβs now October 2025, and Iβm STILL BEING CHARGED $88 PER MONTH. DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS YOUR CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD INFO.

Friendly and fun experience. Itβs kid friendly and everyone who works and climbs here is super welcoming.
The membership and rentals are affordable as well!
At the time of posting, the harness is $3 and the shoes are $3. Highly recommend climbing here.

Came in from Las Vegas to do some training while visiting my family. I wouldnβt recommend this Gym. Super small Climbing area, no air conditioning, super hot. The setting is subpar, routes are like 7-8ft long. Disappointing.

It's a fairly small gym which gets very hot in the summer, but the staff are friendly and there is a nice diversity of routes available for the size of the place.
The gym upstairs has a power rack, which is useful. The kilter board makes one question their choices.
The membership is nice. There's another Hangar18 in the area that it gives you access to.

This place is amazing. It has allowed me to return to ape. Pricing is great to, still affordable. Unlike the other gyms which are ridiculous at like 80$ a month. I could literally buy a whole harness and actually rock climb before I'd pay that.

Great gym to visit if you're alone! All their top rope routes have auto-belays, so you're able to climb everything.
I found the climbs challenging compared to my normal gym, was climbing a grade lower than I usually do.
Overall a pretty great gym!

Nice spot with a good selection of auto belays and bouldering problems.
Kilter board upstairs. friendly members and front desk here. Is a good place for a workout, just wish the ventilation was better or there was a/c. Because its a smaller spot, it gets HOTTTTTT. This is probably why it gets crowded at night when it cools down.
Very happy with this place regardless.

Great for challenging climbs. Iβm a dynamic climber too and the routes were pretty fun. The people are very chill, and the staff are really cool. Let me borrow some taper after splitting a finger. They have a lot of unexpected challenges as you climb, which made the experience more enjoyable. They have an excellent training and conditioning system as well. Definitely want to come back and become a V12 climber one day. πͺ

Scheduled for an auto-belay intro class with my partner as total beginners. Such an enjoyable experience! Definitely because we were the only ones in the gym (middle of the day on a monday) and had an enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructor, Irene. She made it a more comfortable and fun time!

I love going to Hangar 18 and climbing the walls. Been coming here for over 15 years and I never have a bad thing to say.
The instructional classes for beginners are really fun and informative without being overwhelming. I feel safe with the autobelay and have made some good friends while climbing here. The instructors/staff always answer my questions and help me understand how to implement different climbing techniques. They also have rental gear so if you aren't sure whether or not you want to commit to buying your own gear, they have you covered.
I prefer hangar 18 to a regular gym because they have a GREAT membership program. You can find a membership plan that works for you and cancelling/pausing membership is a breeze (unlike at most other gyms). 10/10 would recommend.

Great gym but after they rearranged the problems in this location and the Arlington one, I went from being able to tackle a V4 to barely even managing a V2. I donβt know if whoever has been setting up the problems lately isnβt gaging the difficulty levels properly anymore to thin out the crowd or Iβm just getting fat.

Decent setups to climb. The only problem for me is that there is like no AC in this gym. All they have are giant fans that are blowing hot air around. The gym feels stuffy and gets a little hard to breathe after you are climbing.

I canβt speak for the quality of the gym because they wouldnβt let me climb. Apparently before I could boulder I had to take a bouldering class that would cost an additional 30$. I am an experienced climber who has been to dozens of gyms around the country and never seen a policy like that before. I would understand if the class requirement was just for top rope but a class requirement for bouldering is ridiculous. Apparently you can test out but you can only do it during the class which only happens once per hour. I showed up at 20 past and I wasnβt going to wait around for 40 min.

This is a pretty good climbing gym! My standards are pretty high because I come from the touchstone climbing gym family. I was a member of Cliffs of ID in Los Angeles, and the amenities there were quite a bit better than average. That being said my standards are really high. But the route setting at hangar east riverside is really good. In comparison to Cliffs the grades are much higher. I'd always been told that they grade soft at Cliffs, and once I came to hangar I understood why. The grades if you ask me are definitely more comparable to outside. This gym has quite a few auto belays which is really nice. Quite a bit of good bouldering, a kilter board, and all of your finger strength/campus tools. The staff is really nice, and helpful, all in all its a really good gym. I thoroughly enjoy coming here.

I absolutely love this tiny climbing gym. The employees are always super friendly and personable, and the sets are always changing and challenging. Now they have a Bluetooth enabled kilterboard, hangboard and a campus board area, which are all great and super-challenging additions to the gym.

Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, plenty of lockers, a massive wall for belaying, and a giant rock in the middle for bouldering. The routes are constantly changing and they each have their own difficulty rating. You'll find first time climbers here and also those who should be climbing El Capitan... After conquering your route and reaching the top you'll gain access to the upstairs gym. Giant fans and dock doors keep the place cool to help you climb longer. Single day passes are $18, shoe rentals are $3, and memberships start at $35.

I've been climbing for 6 years and took a date here. One of the female staff members insisted on giving me a belay lesson (understandable since she hadn't seen me climbing there before) then made myself and my date demonstrate knots. My date had no experience and was struggling with the knots, I had been taking care of all the tie offs but this staffer wouldn't leave us alone. I'm a certified arborist and am more than competent to insure the safety of myself and my date. I became so frustrated with this staff member that I took my date over to the bouldering area to be left alone. It felt like this staffer had an agenda of browbeating my date with what she didn't know and will not be recommending this climbing gym
