I found my favorite Yoga studio in SD! Hapa Yoga is truly exceptional. The space is beautiful, spacious, and welcoming, and the instructors are amazing. So far, I’ve taken classes with Michal and Rachel and both have been excellent. I can’t wait for my next class. Highly recommended!

After seeing their Yon Yoga Teacher Training multiple times over the last few years I finally signed up. I spent an amazing weekend learning with Tina and 3 beautiful woman. The class was packed with information and I can’t wait to start teaching family and friends and see where this Yin training takes me!

I honestly don’t know where these five-star reviews are coming from—they are inflated. I hope everyone takes the time to read the lowest ratings before signing up anywhere, as the high ratings can be manipulated, but the low reviews are not.

I’ve had a very unpleasant experience with this yoga studio. I go to yoga mainly for relaxation, but this is the third time I’ve arrived just a few minutes late or even on time, only to find the door locked with a big padlock. On another occasion, a woman at the front desk rudely refused to let me in. Not only do they deny entry if you’re late, but they also charge you $20 for the missed class.

They also don’t answer the phone if you call ahead to say you’re stuck in traffic or that something came up and you might be a minute late. No one even picks up the phone when you try to complain as they know your number. Once they have your $55 membership fee, you’re stuck—there’s no way to cancel or get a refund.

Be very careful about this place. With the strict policies, extra charges, and lack of customer service, it’s far from a relaxing yoga experience. Not recommended

I am entirely delighted I found Hapa Yoga this year. Community, intimacy, and a versatility of offerings from instructors that are nurturing, knowledgeable, challenging, and personable create a yoga family or Pilates family that will inspire you to keep coming back. Vinyasa flows and Pilates workouts are accessible for all levels with layers and modifications provided to meet your ability (advanced, beginner, or recovering). Logistics are well planned! Spacious locker room and showers. Classes are offered at times that optimize any schedule. It’s super easy to get to - right off the 8. And the workshops expand strength, practice, and spirituality. I learned Reiki here! Highly recommend.

Hapa yoga is the best thing that’s happened for me this year! It’s built up my confidence as well as my core strength! I’ve taken and loved the pilates barre and hiit workout classes, both with various instructors. Sam, Yael, Sabrina, Katie, Raegan, and Tina have been absolutely amazing in teaching breath work and focusing on muscle groups through 60 minute classes. I am so happy I found their intro program to get me started and fall in love with challenging my body on a regular basis. Thank you Hapa

I attended a musical yoga class for babies and families at Hapa Yoga, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Hapa Yoga stands out not only for its compassionate support for parents, but particularly for those navigating postpartum challenges.

The class itself was a delightful blend of gentle yoga and engaging musical activities designed to bond with your baby while promoting relaxation. The instructor was incredibly warm and attentive, making the session feel both nurturing and uplifting. They went above and beyond to create a welcoming environment where parents, including those struggling with postpartum depression and anxiety, felt supported and valued.

One of the standout features of the class is its commitment to the well-being of parents. They offer on-site childcare, which means that if parents need a moment to themselves, the caring staff will look after the babies. This thoughtful provision allowed me to take a break, recharge, and fully participate in the class without worry.

The community at Hapa Yoga is equally wonderful. Other attendees were friendly and empathetic, fostering a supportive network that made the class even more enjoyable. The overall atmosphere was one of genuine care and understanding, which is especially important for those dealing with the emotional and physical strains of new parenthood.

Hapa Yoga excelled in creating a supportive, inclusive, and heartwarming environment for my baby and I. Their dedication to families is a valuable resource for any family looking to embrace yoga and community during the early stages of parenthood.

I joined with the yearly membership. I was nervous to pay for a year upfront but it has already been worth every penny and beyond. Lots of classes, lots of choices (class types), great instructors, great clients, super clean and welcoming. You can go on a day pass, get a bunch of classes (20 pack), join monthly, or yearly. The workshops they hold are also super helpful and interesting... From self defense to Qigong, to breathwork, and more.

Hapa is a gem of an independently owned fitness and yoga studio. I've been coming here since moving to SD in 2018, I've left and tried other studios and always make my way back here. The instructors are knowledgeable and supportive, classes vary from very accessible for beginners to challenging for advanced yogis (there's also a bunch of fitness classes that aren't really my thing, but I love that it's all included in one place!). Hapa also offers showers, lockers, and the amenities that you need to pop in for class on your lunch break, go to work after class in the AM or to go out after an evening class. Love the heated and restorative classes especially!!

Hapa Yoga has become a home away from home for me. I feel really welcome and accepted for what I can do. They have something for everyone--from gentle yoga and yin yoga to HIIT and CardiYoSculpt and TRX classes (and everything in between--heated and non-heated). The studio is really well decorated and is always super clean. They have lockers and showers and provide all the props and weights you may need.

The best thing about Hapa Yoga is Tina, the owner. She is a unique teacher and every class with her is an experience--she draws on all types of knowledge of healing arts and incorporates that into her fitness and yoga classes at all levels. She is dynamic and a stellar business woman, but also tenderhearted and kind. She has certifications in so many areas--she's a lifetime learner. I really love all the teachers at Hapa Yoga. You can't go wrong!

Hapa Yoga is the best! So many amazing things I can say about this place. You feel like you are part of a community, from the front desk to the teachers to the other people in class, everyone is so welcoming. It's great for all levels and there are a ton of different classes that speak to the different levels or even types of workouts if you are looking for more than typical yoga. The teachers all do an amazing job of making sure you feel supported in your practice. The facilities are also great! They take really good care of it and always keep it clean. Major bonus is the padded floors in the rooms too. In addition to the regular schedule of classes they offer a ton of different workshops and special classes throughout the months, bringing in guest teachers or people who specialize in their practice. Hapa yoga is a very welcoming studio, Tina the owner is very compassionate and also passionate about the experience the studio provides for all yogis. There's a class for everyone. They also offer a lot of free community building events and classes. What draw me to this studio is that it didn't feel like it was about the profits but about building community while catering to your specific needs. Whether it is to grow in your practice via asanas, meditation, breathing, dharma talks, you can find it all here.
I just completed my YTT here for the same reason, Tina is so involved, she makes sure to meet everyone's expectations and needs. The training felt very customized to our specific group, and we got exposure to several subject matter experts. The YTT was a great experience for me, it delve deeper than I though yet I learned a lot about teaching yoga.

I am so grateful for Hapa Yoga! I have my first bar class with Amber. She is so upbeat and funny! I really appreciate it how welcoming she was. As for the class, I got a really intense workout. The poses and positions were not as repetitive as other bar studios I've been to. They have an app that makes it easy to see and check in two classes. If you forget your yoga mat, non-slip socks, or towel, you can rent one. There yoga mats rent for $2 (Bring cash because there's a $5 minimum for credit cards). They provide locks for the giant lockers. The bathrooms were very clean. There were showers in the back which is great if you need to go to work. There is a childcare facility for kids. Check out their website because it has a comprehensive list of their rules and information about both of their studios. There is also a link to their Rewards program which gives you free stuff and classes.

I am pregnant and find that all the instructors are at least fairly knowledgeable about modifying moves for the mamas in all the classes I've taken (prenatal yoga, gentle flow and Barre ). If they don't know a lot about prenatal they are honest about it and suggest we use modifications we used in earlier classes. But honestly, I only came across one instructor who was only fairly knowledgeable, most are great! After visiting several other yoga studios to find the best fit for me, I ended up at Hapa Yoga. I found Hapa through Groupon, which had a great intro deal...20 classes for $52. I found 2 instructors that I absolutely loved and connected with, and attended both of their classes 4 times/week. I ended up becoming a member, and addicted to yoga. I have been a member for over a year now. The monthly membership fees are VERY reasonable ($69), about half as much as you would pay at any other studio. Although, I have heard they raised the prices for new members ($20 more a month or $89). The studio is clean and privately owned, which is great because I like to support local small businesses. This also allows more comfort and flexibility for members, rather than a corporate studio. I especially loved the heavily cushioned floor, which makes it easier to be confident when trying certain poses. I am sad to say that I am cancelling my membership. My work schedule has changed and the classes and instructors that I absolutely loved going there for, do not fit in my schedule anymore. In fact, one instructor has left, and the other is leaving. Don't get me wrong, there are still great instructors at this studio...you should definitely check out Angelica or Sonny's classes.

Hapa Yoga is one of the best yoga studios I have gone to. I found out about it through Groupon last year and after the initial deal was over I signed up with a monthly membership. All if the instructors are amazing and the owner Tina is very personable, down-to-earth, and a great business owner. The class schedule is quite convenient. If you are looking for a studio that is family friendly, this is the place, offering childcare and yoga for kids, as well as prenatal classes and mommy and me classes which I did with my little one. There are classes for ALL levels, including some really kick-your-butt classes if you are looking for an intense workout! Overall I have enjoyed all of my experiences at Hapa Yoga.

Love this studio! The teachers are great and the studio is clean and nice. The best part for me is that my kids love the tots yoga and play room as well!

The location is great - close to the freeway, in a plaza, decent amount of parking as long as you don't arrive at the busiest time. The studio is clean - floors, bathroom, studio. They have several class times, and several different types of classes to choose from so it is very convenient for people with busy schedules. The owner and manager are very friendly. There are some star instructors here, who not only offer great verbal cues but incorporate actual yogic aspects into their teaching as well. Other instructors do not seem as experienced when it comes to guiding their students into postures effectively and safely. There have been rare occasions where the room was heated above what has been stated on the website (or at least the humidity was too high).

My favorite yoga place! I have tried about four different places and found this is the one I came back to. The place is clean, organized, relaxing, and the instructors are top notch!
I love also that there are no mirrors, that as a beginner I can go at my own pace and not feel inadequate compared to the other "rubberbands", but instead, learn by watching and practicing with others.

I have been practicing yoga for 17 years, having taken classes in several countries,
and Hapa Yoga is one of my favorite yoga studios. The owner is totally committed
to making the incredible gift of yoga available to everyone and especially to parents
who need day care so that they can practice. And the joy and energy that the
children bring is wonderful. There are an amazing range of classes and times available. The teachers are all very nice and experienced and dedicated. If a class is being led by a new and/or somewhat inexperienced teacher, that is noted on the very easy to navigate website. The website also has a very clear description of each
class offered. The studio is new and super clean and the bathrooms are spotless.
It is in a very convenient location with lots of parking available. The costs
of classes are very fair and there are on-going specials for new students,
experienced ones, and seniors.
Whether you are an experienced yogi or just beginning, please try Hapa Yoga.
You will be very pleased.

Hapa Yoga is my mommy happy place! Practicing yoga while having your little one safely in childcare right outside the studio is a prescription that EVER new mom needs!

Classes: Great assortment of classes from everything to TRX to Power Yoga. With a salad bar assortment of offerings most class levels will sit right in the middle around level 2 with options to step it up or down as needed. Dat's Power 80 classes are my workout highlight for the week. They should totally add more!

Facilities: Great facilities with nice locker rooms and showers. Both studios are nice and the large studio had a padded floor. Great for building your strength training but be care of your wrists in an inversion.

Daycare: THE ICING ON THE CAKE! Seriously, getting in a real yoga class and a quick hour of alone time with the little one safely just outside the studio door is awesome. All the staff is wonderful and they do everything they can to work with you and your tots. I started with my daughter there at 4 months old and we did a an occasional time or two where she was so upset I got called out. But they always encouraged me to let her reset and try again later. Now we have no problems and I drop her off with ease knowing I can stay through Shavasana.
