I was greeted warmly by the person at the front desk. He knew it was my first time and without prompting showed me around the studio and where everything was. The space is beautiful and the teaching was excellent. It’s slightly further away from my house without great access to public transport but I easily found parking. I will definitely be back!

Just finished a class here and… I get it.

I’ve heard oodles of folks wax lyrical about classes at the Haum’s Mission location. And after having done classes all around town for the last year — this one certainly is among the most special spaces.

The gorgeous, large windows offering city views galore made for a delightful sight during this evening’s sunset. It was magical, and made for an absolutely wonderful atmosphere to move and flow in.

The 1.5 hour class really gives you time to settle in and make the most of practice. Love me an extra long shavasana!

Haum's Mission Studio has gorgeous plants, brick walls, large windows that allow in natural light, and a wooden floor. It's the perfect enviroment to take a deep breath and practice Yoga. My first class was a 6:15pm with Jeremy and it exceeded my expectations - the sun was setting as we started the flow, the music was well-integrated with the movement and the studio has a stong community vibe. Classes can get full, so I reccomend arriving a few minutes early to get set up and chat with neighbors! The classes are a bit expensive, so I think of it like my after-work Happy Hour.

The HAUM Mission studio is just beautiful- overlooking the city with art and plants and walls of windows all around, this space is a treasure and the folks working at the studio made me feel so welcomed when I arrived for my first class. Annie's 11am offering was inspiring, challenging, and invigorating- I left feeling vibrant and connected with my own body and with the other folks present as well. I look forward to returning to HAUM's studio again and again in the future!

The space is a dream. The actual studio is gorgeous and the view of the city, especially at sunset is really something special. I have never had a bad class, but a stand out is Annie's Sunday yoga. I always learn something new and feel like I am floating on the clouds walking out. My only complaint is the cost. I am a teacher and it feels quite out of reach at times. I try to treat myself once every other week.

Visiting in town, I finally had the chance to study in-person with Annie Carpenter. She's a local treasure. People of SF, do not miss the opportunity to practice with this master. The studio is spacious and bright, a calm island amidst the unpredictable itinerancy of the Mission.

HAUM Studios has been a fantastic experience. I had never tried yoga before, and I felt welcomed and supported. The space itself is great. It is situated on the top floor and filled with natural light. I was traveling for a work trip and discovered HAUM in the neighborhood I was staying and what a gift it was to myself. Nicole was a welcoming, kind, and skilled yoga instructor and the studio was gorgeous. It was bright, plant filled, and so clean and good smelling. The instructions on how to get in to the 5th floor were very helpful, and a little funny which I appreciated very much. Nicole's Vinyasa class was the perfect blend of hard work, stretching and quiet meditation. I won't hesitate to seek out a HAUM studio on my next trip to SF. Thank you for being my HAUM away from home. :)

HAUM is a hidden gem. The first time you come, make sure to give yourself a few extra minutes to find the building, buzz in, and climb up, but don’t worry- it’s straightforward.
I’ve been attending Mel’s sculpt classes and love them: intense, to the point, all based on body weight, resistance and reps, with fun music.
And yes, the space is gorgeous: tons of natural light and plants; wall to wall Windows overlooking the Mission - very conducive to a thoughtful, uplifting, energizing practice.

This is my favorite yoga studio I’ve been to! It’s a beautiful sunlit open space that immediately relaxes me every time I go. Each instructor has a unique teaching style so I love trying out new classes but they’re consistently excellent at creating a comfortable and warm environment. The space is beautiful, spacious, and seems to have good airflow, three things that are often lacking in SF yoga studios.

3 stars because the instructor of my first class was inconsistent with ensuring symmetry in timings on both sides. Also, they bribe people with a free class for a review, which, while understandable, calls into question the legitimacy of their current review average. Of course, they'll say they don't require it to be a positive review but we all know what the net effect of offering a free class for a review does.

This is a really special yoga studio. I haven’t been able to find a place like this in my 2 years of living in SF. Literally every part of this experience was amazing. The vibes of HAUM were really warm, honest and inviting. Jeremy led such a perfect class…solid asana that flowed well, time for breath work at the beginning, challenging but light at the same time, and he led with grace, humor but maintained the depth of spirituality that I crave. I got in a super deep meditation at the end. My only complaint was that it isn’t heated, but heat isn’t everything. Can’t wait to take from other instructors!

I’m taking classes here through Classpass and due to a 20 minute delay in the BART with construction around the 24th St station I was unable to get to class on time. I called the studio and they told me they lock the doors after 5 minutes without exception, don’t deal with Classpass cancellations or refunds, and had no empathy or consideration for a repeat student who was just already en route to class and trapped in a stationary BART. I won’t be coming back; apparently being a Classpasser automatically makes you a second class citizen, and there’s an extreme lack of customer service around delays in public transportation that likely affect more than one student.

I loved this location. I was visiting from Los Angeles and found the studio on google maps and I’m so glad I did. It’s inside a building on the 5th floor so if you take the stairs up it’s like a little pre-workout to your yoga session. The inside aesthetics were beautiful with lots of plants and a view of the city. The instructor I had was from Paris, and although her arm was in a brace she still gave us a great yoga workout. Loved this studio! Went to the evening candlelit class and wowowow. The view is so nice as you melt into the practice. Teacher was so kind and their voice was so soothing. Really loved the free yoga mat rental for my first experience and they have lovely products for sale by the front desk. Can’t wait to come back during the day time.

I went to a class here, and fell in love with the ambience of the studio. The views of SF all around are spectacular, and the candles and large studio space make it extremely cozy and inspiring inside.

The teacher was excellent, and I even complimented them after the class for being very trauma-informed. They used invitational instead of instructional language, offering for us to take certain postures and giving many options instead of just telling us what to do with our bodies. Being a therapist who specializes in trauma, I'm very attuned to the needs of people who might be sensitive to being told what to do with their body, and the teacher was obviously just as attuned. I hugely appreciated this.

Highly recommend this studio! I plan on returning

Loved my experience at Haum in the Mission. Regan is a super-professional instructor and a great communicator. But the star of the show has to be the space -- beautiful, clean, modern but classic, elegant, and a world-class view. The whole experience was first-rate and I can't wait to return.

The atmosphere was amazing! Class was exactly what I needed that night. So glad my friend pushed me to try this studio. I, myself, am a yoga guide. I have a studio that I call home. But after my experience here, I might have to make this my 2nd Haum..... Get it? 😂 Corny dad joke, yes, but the point is, at the very least, this sangha is worth checking out, see what resonates. You might be just as pleasantly surprised as I am! 🙂🙏🏻

What a beautiful space! The studio feels warm and inviting, with its hardwood floors and a serene candlelit atmosphere in the evening. The view overlooking the twinkling lights of San Francisco adds a magical touch to the experience.

The yoga class was absolutely perfect for me—gentle yet invigorating, striking a wonderful balance between challenging myself and practicing self-love. It left me feeling grounded, energized, and truly at peace.

This studio is one of the most beautiful studios I’ve seen! Loved the space and the kindness of the instructor and staff. Note that some of the classes tend to be more workshop-driven so a lot of talking and sitting and demoing, rather than flowing, but that probably varies from instructor to instructor. Excited to try out different instructors and class types!

I've had a great experience at HAUM Yoga Studio! The Mission location is my favorite the space is beautiful, filled with so much natural light, and has a really calming vibe. The teachers are fantastic, bringing a lot of knowledge and energy to every class. I also tried the Haight-Ashbury location, which is a bit smaller, but still a nice space. Personally, I prefer the Mission studio because of how open and bright it feels. Highly recommend!

I took a class with Reza Ebrahimi after doing some light research on his Instagram. He is an advanced teacher but taught an all levels Vinyasa flow and he is a very disciplined and alignment driven teacher. In particular, I received a lot of hands on adjustments (which is rare during this time, given covid-19 and that’s really the reason why I go to practice in person–you just can’t adjust yourself all the time to make sure your alignment is correct.)

Pros
1.) Beautiful studio with changing rooms and bathrooms (no showers, but I don’t think they do very hot yoga classes)
2.) The instructors are high quality (they don’t churn through them)

Cons
1.) You have to be buzzed in through a non-descriptive door and walk up 5 flights of stairs to get to the studio (this is only really a problem the first time you go because it’s a little bit hard to find the studio, although their email covers how to get there in detail); I understand why they do this–it’s for security reasons, given the studio is in an unfortunate part of the Mission (conveniently located next to the 16th St. and Mission St. BART station.)
2.) The incense is pretty intense at the beginning of practice but once it burns down, it’s not as strong smelling (December 2024 update: they haven’t used as much incense lately)

I can’t believe this! A few days after my class, I found a rash on my face. I thought it would go away, but after two weeks, it still hasn’t and it was itching pretty badly. I went to the doctors and the first thing she said was have you been to a yoga class lately? Apparently the bolsters, blankets, supports, and of course mats are extremely dirty, and I got a fungal infection on my face. I know for a fact that it was this studio because it was the only yoga class I’ve been to all month, and I only have the infection on one side of my face - the side I used to lie and rest on the bolster. I called the studio as I was walking out of the doctors office and they never responded to me. For somewhere that claims to be all about the yoga mindset, they sure don’t care about their customers nor their cleanliness.

Instructor showed up 5 ish minutes before the class and because the studio is on the top floor and you need to be buzzed in, that meant waiting outside in the rain and starting class late and setting up while this instructor is frantically chatting on the phone about opening procedures. I understand it was a mistake but it was my first class here and it was a bad vibe to set the tone of a pretty underwhelming class. Gorgeous studio but it’s giving white gentrifiers by selling sage and being so expensive for bring in a primarily Latine working class neighborhood, super disappointing.

What an amazing class. Yvonne's cuing and sequencing made class enjoyable and easy to follow and I was able to deeper access poses that are normally difficult for me. This particular class was the end of a series on opposites and during the poses Yvonne would guide us into noticing the strength we were using as well as the spaciousness. This was a very valuable practice for my process and helped integrate what I had been mentally working on into my body. Grateful for this experience!
