Heartcore is a Megaformer studio with a mission to get you the best core of your life. We blend Pilates, strength training, and HIIT into a 40-minute full-body workout on the Megaformer. Love this studio. I went here before, during, and after my two pregnancies. Workout is intense but motivating. Gave me a strong core and enhanced my balance. Soundtrack is also great. Just get there early because parking can be a nightmare and they're strict about not showing up too late!

I have been going to Heartcore for about a little over a year now and I love it so much! I've tried a lot of different pilates studios and pilates styles and nothing ever compared to the megaformer style of workout and the instructors here, at Heartcore. I absolutely love Krystal and Alisa! Even when I'd pop into other classes, or the occasional sub was needed during my regular classes, I would always be getting in an amazing workout, no matter who the instructor was. Alisa, the founder of the company, leads with kindness, empathy and hardwork. This form of exercise has changed how I mentally and physically feel about myself as a person, but also as a professional dancer. I will hands down, always advocate for Heartcore! The amazing studio aside, they're prices are great and give you opportunities to get lower rates on their classes! (and the base rate for a class is already amazing in comparison to other studios)

If you are looking for an incredible work out, head on over to Heartcore! I have been to many reformer studios over the years, and this is by far the best! The instructors are kind, motivating, encouraging, and knowledgeable. Updated review: I still highly recommend Heartcore! I've been working out here for a year plus. I know how important strength training is, but it's hard to do on my own. At Heartcore, the workout is challenging, but the instructors will support you and help with form and motivation. There's a lot of variety, and despite how hard it is, the instructors make it fun. I would say that the workout doesn't get easier, but I am definitely stronger! Like other reviewers have mentioned, the instructors are all so friendly and sweet. There really is a community feel at this studio, unlike some of the chain studios I've been to (like Soulcycle, Barrys, etc.) I'm so grateful for Heartcore!

Old review: I highly recommend Heartcore! The workout itself is challenging; I am always sore the next day in a way that lets me know my muscles are growing. The instructors are friendly and helpful. The studio is clean and has great air flow. I will keep coming back :)

Dropped into a class with Krystal this Sunday morning and had a great workout. I’m visiting from Miami and I take reformer classes religiously there. The studio is cute, clean and easy to find. The pace of the workout was upbeat and challenging which I enjoyed. Krystal was also great and helped me make adjustments where it was needed since the classes I usually take have a slightly different machine. Would def come again!

Despite being to this studio before and not being new to pilates, I experienced a very rude encounter by Toran who was very unpleasant. I understand there are certain rules, but her demeanor in handling the situation and tone made me never want to not only never go there again, but never take a class from her. She was rude, judgmental, and belittled me every chance she got. There are much better pilates options in the Bay Area and I will never come back here, and I will tell my friends the same.

This gym is more focused on athletic types vs other places like Club Pilates. Intense workouts that always push you to your limits.

Highly recommend if you cross-train in other sports/activities. I’ve done a few sessions here so far whilst recovering from a sports-related surgery / injury and I honestly feel I could have prevented the injury if I had done Pilates as they put so much emphasis on core strength, flexibility, and endurance to make you functionally strong.

I am nearly at the end of my first trial month at Heartcore. It is an intense workout - I sweat and shake 1 minute in. But it’s fun, I hope/ think I’m getting stronger and the instructors have been great. My favorite is Toran - she says she’s ‘handsy’ which practically translates to her making the slightest adjustment to your posture which makes a huge difference to how much your abs hurt. The only thing I don’t get from Heartcore is the stretching from a Pilates reformer class - but they openly claim to not be Pilates. It’s worth it!

This is a great studio for a very novel type of workout! The instructors are really attentive and will correct your form to get maximal benefits from each exercise. One criticism would be that the specific exercises for each class will vary a lot and depend on the instructor - wish there was a way to preview this before signing up for a class.

Great location - near a public parking lot. Trainers are motivating and friendly. Bathroom available, water machine for filling your bottle and paper cups available. They have cubbies to hold your stuff, and they have hand sanitizers at each machine (there are 11) and masks available at the door. And, of course, the workouts are challenging in the best way possible. I highly recommend heartcore.

The hardest, greatest training you'll ever do that will benefit everything you do. No amount of weight lifting, HIIT, not even yoga alone will reach deep into the musculature that megaformer gets to. I especially recommend megaformer to all the traditional gym-goers out there who think they're super fit. This practice will show you what you're missing in your routines. I've been doing Megaformer Pilates and Lagree for over 3 years now, and I can confidently say that it's the best workout for both aesthetic toning and general fitness ever. You work out muscles that you never even knew existed, such as the sides of your abs between your ribs and muscles deep in your glutes. It's also super effective for heart health, as doing static holds can actually get your heart rate up quite high. The Heartcore studio is clean and spacious, and the staff there is all so, so nice. Special shoutout to Michelle who accommodated myself and a group of my friends on a busy Thursday!

I suffer from back and shoulder pain and my chiro recommended Pilates to strengthen my core. Since starting the classes, I have been able to extend the time between my visits to the chiro!
The classes are HARD! But the group is fun and I love the 40-minute sessions. Just when I think I can't take it anymore, the instructor says 'only 5 minutes left! I highly recommend taking a few classes to try it out.

Not all Lagree studios are created equal and Heartcore is one of the top studios in the bay! Using my Apple watch, I can see that I burn more calories and my heart rate is higher when I workout at this studio compared to other places. I've been working out for years on the Megaformer now and it's the best workout I've ever done. It's great for core and my body is so much stronger than it used to be. Try it out!

I've been to six classes at Heartcore RWC and have loved every class. Teachers are knowledgable, caring, and encouraging. Each teacher makes their own playlists and I've enjoyed what they put together. These classes are tough, but oh so worth it. I was going to a different lagree pilates studio for about 5 months and Heartcore leaves me with a better burn.

One of my concerns was parking since Redwood City has paid meters everywhere. The studio is on the edge of downtown so if you're okay with walking two blocks you can get free two hour parking.

The studio is always clean. There's a single restroom, cubbies, water filling station, etc.. There are 11-12 reformers nicely spaced out.

Although I have taken 30+ classes, it always feels like a new class with the various instructors and their awesome workout sets. I am only able to go twice a week and see great results already. Each instructor is supportive and asks if you have any injuries for modifications. The classes are small enough to feel like a semi-private lesson. I've been coming to Heartcore on and off for about a year, and would hands down recommend it to anyone who is looking for a tough, challenging workout! The class focuses on slow, controlled movements on a resistance-based megaformer (similar to a traditional pilates machine but more robust and allowing for LOTS of resistance). While I also like to mix up my exercise with functional training, circuit training, and spinning, Heartcore leaves me with the sorest muscles, by far! As a physician, I appreciate that Heartcore's movements are rooted in anatomy, individually targeting the components of each muscle group. The classes vary, but always have a strong focus on abs and glutes/hamstrings - the focus on core and joint stabilizers helps target hard-to-reach muscles and helps protect from injury.

Unless you're experienced on a megaformer, you can definitely expect to feel a bit confused at your first class. Luckily the small class sizes allow the instructors to help everyone with form. My personal favorite instructor is Crystal, but they are all knowledgeable and lovely people. Don't be afraid to give it a shot!

Love, love, love! Lagree is not your mama's pilates! Although, it is done on the reformer in my personal opinion it is much more challenging and way more effective. It is similar in that is is composed of various platforms (front & back), a carriage, springs, etc. Expect 40 minutes of low-impact, muscle burning work. Relatively small classes I think there are 12-14 reformers, as a result expect hand on adjustments. I've only taken a handful of classes but each class the instructor included hand on adjustments, modifications and had a strong knowledge of all things Lagree. Minimal amenities (cubbies & restroom, no showers) and clean lines.

FYI- Grip socks required for class and can be purchased onsite if needed.

Having never used a Megaformer machine, I was nervous heading into my first class, but the staff at Heartcore could not have been more friendly and welcoming. My instructor showed me the basics before class, and kept an eye out for me during the class and suggested modifications, which I appreciated. I have had a few different instructors and they have all been very encouraging and attentive. I particularly love Crystal's classes! If you asked me two years ago if I could ever envision myself addicted to something like this, the answer would be a resounding no. I liked to exercise on my own terms, on my own time, in the relative anonymity of a gym treadmill or jogging trail. But here I am, completely in love with an exercise class that is so, so much more than an exercise class.

I live in Foster City, but the closest Lagree Pilates studio unfortunately closed so I had to find another place. I love Lagree and Heartcore was the closest studio. I'm so glad I was able to find another studio not too far away with available parking! The inside is awesome and has lots of natural lighting, something my old studio was lacking. And although, you do have to remember to sign up as soon as the schedule goes out because the classes get pretty impacted, the instructors I've had classes with so far are all top notch. They're challenging and attentive to fixing your form, which is super important in something like Lagree. Can't wait until they open up a studio in San Mateo!

Heartcore offers incredible workouts in just 40 minutes. After a few classes i already feel so much stronger and my knees thank me for the no impact workout! I have chronic low back pain and the Heartcore workout does not aggravate it. My core and abs feel so much tighter and stronger even with a once weekly session mixed in with more traditional aerobic exercise on other days.
I appreciate the small class size and the individual attention to help with form. It does take a handful of classes to get used to the different positions and exercises. Crystal has been a great teacher.

Best Pilates studio in the area! I come from SF just for this studio. Classes are hard and good, you feel it all day! I love it! I can feel each move throughout every part of my body. It's hard to describe but I feel like I'm engaging the innermost parts of my muscles which makes me really feel like I'm building strength. The instructors are really encouraging and take the time to see where you are individually to help you get the most out of your workout.

Love my Heartcore classes! It keeps me toned and strong even though I only go once a week. I'm new to pilates and this is the best workout I've tried. Signing up for these classes keeps me accountable in my workouts and I actually enjoy working out now! Heartcore is simultaneously so intense and so wonderful. The workout and day after soreness are super addicting. Instructors are amazing and always make sure you're keeping correct from to maximize each movement. I'm a perfectionist so I love all the small adjustments and modifications you can do on the Megaformer to customize a group class to your level of experience. The place is full of Instagram moments from floor and mirror decals to neon lights. You can buy your grip socks at the studio for $14 but remember your towel! You will sweat buckets.

I was looking for something that was challenging, different and fun - yet easy enough on my shoulder and back - and I think I found it! Although I seriously question my ability to do anything at some point during class, I always leave feeling way better than when I walked in (and yes, more sore too!). Every instructor that I've had thus far (Chrissy, Crystal, Jessica and Alisa) have been so supportive as well, with an eye on form and great on modifications. Can't wait to go back again!

I love HeartCore! Highly recommend it for everyone from those just getting into shape to those that are already super fit. I did CrossFit for 4 years and have been a runner my whole life, and find that HeartCore is a great combination of cardio and muscle training that continues to push you no matter how fit you are. It's so hard but so fun...I look forward to class every time :)

I have taken 5 classes so far at Heartcore and without a doubt it has been the hardest workout, yet one of the best. At first I thought a 40-minute workout only three times a week would not be enough to get back in shape after having my daughter - I was wrong. Not only my whole body shakes both during and right after class, but I feel muscles 'working' also the day after. Both Rachel and Crystal are great reachers, I highly recommend them.

I really like the fast pace and reasonable time commitment, but the best part is that each class is a bit different so it's always a challenge. The instructors are always great and super helpful and constructive. Looking forward to my next class! Parking is sometimes a challenge with all the other businesses downtown, so get there early!

What an awesome studio! The workout itself is an amazing full body workout that changes with each class and keeps you interested since you slowly change positions/maneuvers throughout the class. The small class size is awesome since it gives the instructors the opportunity to help each person adjust their form throughout the class. The instructors are all incredibly friendly and keep you motivated throughout class. I'm 5 only classes in, but completely hooked!
